Paper Playtime 5th Monday-One Week-Anything Goes Challenge-#80

Woot Woot!!! It's the fifth Monday of July so we get to have an extra challenge this month!!! And it is always an 'Anything Goes' challenge at Paper Playtime!!! Don't you just love those?!  And we have an awesome sponsor!!! The Creative Pointe will be giving one lucky crafter a $10 gift certificate to their store. Hop over there and check out what they have to offer. Pretty good stuff over there!!!!
For my card I decided to use the Create A Critter cartridge. The reason was because I wanted to use this great pattern paper from My Mind's Eye-Happier 6x6 designer paper pad for my bg. I also decided to use some to cut the worm. Bothe the green and the orange dotted. The brown is from my scrap bin. I hid the face on my Gypsy Girl so I could use this darling face from the Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment stamp set. My sentiment is from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps "FAQs" (Frequently asked questions) stamp set. I just love it!!! I finished off my card with a little bling on the antennas and some little green buttons. One of the guys at work says WUZ up? and I just may have to give him this card. I think he would get a real kick out of it. Now, we really want you to create something and enter it in our Anything Goes challenge. Who knows, you just might be the lucky winner of the gift certificate!! Go over and check out the creations that my DT Sisters made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Now this is just a one week challenge, so you have until noon,EST, Saturday, August 4 to link. Looking forward to coming by and admiring!! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge-#11-Summer Fun

It's time for a new challenge at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge. Our theme this time is Summer Fun and it is an 'Anything Goes' challenge!! The digi I used for this card is from Meljen's Designs Digital Stamps. It is called Picnic Pie. I colored it using my Copics. The colors I used are R27, R29, R81, R83, E11, E13, E31, E33, G21, G24, Y2, Y4, B00, Booo and Spica Glitter Pens in Silver and in Gold.  I made my shaped card from a Spellbinders Nestabilities Grand Scalloped Oval. I cut out my digi with the next size smaller. The two pieces of ribbon are from my stash. I think I got them at walmart. I put my sentiment on the inside. I used Fun in the Sun stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I finished off the inside by adding this Rhinestone Cherries from Recollections (Michaels). Head over and check out the creations my DT Sisters have created! Awesomeness for sure!! We would so love for you to join us for this challenge. So looking forward to coming by and admiring your creation! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Disney Dreaming

Can you believe it is already the end of July!!! Where did it go? Boy I must be getting old when I go to bed on the first day of the month and wake up and it's the end of the month!!
Today is the new challenge at Exploring Cricut. And do we have a fun challenge this time! Well, we have fun ones every time, but this is really fun!! Our theme is 'Disney Dreaming'! Make a card, layout or papercraft of any Disney character, vacations, etc containing at least one Disney character. Please make sure you use a Cricut cut, your project is a new one (no back links please) and that you link up before 9 pm. EST, Saturday, August 4th.
I pulled out my Disney Classics cartridge and flipped through the booklet trying to decide which image to use. I settled on Cleo from Pinocchio. She can be found on page 57. I cut her and her layers at 4 inches. I made a 6x6 card. I used some American Crafts-Heat Wave Patterned Paper for my bg. I punched out some circles for her bubbles and stamped my sentiment on the largest one. My sentiment came from the stamp set Fun in the Sun from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I used my white gel pen for the lines on the bubbles. I popped Cleo and one of the bubbles on one thickness of foam tape and the biggest bubble on two thickness. On the inside you can see that Cleo has dove down into the waves to cool off on this hot day!! Hop over and take a look at the creations my DT Sisters and Brother have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! So looking forward to seeing what you come up with for our challenge! Hope ya like my card!!!! :)

My Weekend With The Granddaughters

Two of our granddaughters came to visit this weekend. They came Friday evening and went home after church today. I'm here to tell ya that I am one pooped MeeMee!!!! We stayed awake to late after going to bed Friday night, laughing and talking and then got up to early Saturday morning. Never thought they would be up by 6:30!!! We got up, fixed some breakfast and then I talked them into, begged them, okay conned them into helping me clean house. We will craft after the house is clean. It worked!! Bug who is 11 vacuumed and Riss who is almost 8 dusted. I did the mopping, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen. We were done in an hour. They really wanted to craft!!! We got into the crafty room around 8:30, took a break for lunch and then stayed in there until 3. Boy did my feet hurt!! Only room for two chairs and they took them. I was standing, helping, cutting paper sizes and putting them on the mats, etc. They had a ball!!! After we got done, I painted their toenails and fingernails. Extreme Pink. We fixed supper, got showers and then baked some cookies. I cheated and got the Pillsbury kind that you just put on the cookie sheet and bake. They didn't care. They just wanted cookies. They played with their gameboys for a little while and then we went to bed. Very little talking went on last night. Within 10 minutes they were both out like a light!! It was an awesome, fun and very tiring weekend!!!
These first two pictures are the layouts that Bug made.

These next pictures are the one layout and 3 cards that Riss made. This is her first time getting to get into my crafty room and create. I think she is just as hooked as Bug is now!!!

They chose the cuts and colors and papers themselves. All I did was cut them to fit the mat, put them on the mat and showed them the buttons to push. Crafters in Bloom!!!!! Hope y'all like what my grands made. :)

Don't forget that I will announcing my blog candy winner sometime Sunday, so drop by for that. Now on to my project. Okay, my card! LOL I'm still in the Hello Kitty mode here. I needed a birthday card for a very special young lady that turned 11. I decided to go with a 4x4 card. I pulled out my Hello Kitty Font cartridge this time. I cut the shadow, the silhouette and the layers for this darling Angel Hello Kitty. She can be found on page 79. They call her HK8. I cut her at 3.50 inches. I cut extra of the hearts. I coated the hearts and her bow in Crystal Stickles to give them some shine. Did some faux stitching around her dress and sleeve. The bg designer paper is My Mind's Eye-Fly a Kite-"Genuine" Sky Paper. The sentiment is from two different stamp sets from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I used Happy Days for the Happy Birthday and Oh Baby for the Angel. And that's it. I really hope y'all enjoyed our very first Blog Hop at Exploring Cricut. I want to thank everyone that has visited my blog, left me such awesome comments and to my new followers. I welcome you all!!! I hope I inspire at least one of you with what I make. Okay, that's it. Bitten By The Bug 2-Fashion

Here is my card for this weeks Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge. Their challenge this week is 'Fashion'. Now, I'm no fashionista by no means. Give me a pair of jeans or capri's and a t-shirt and I'm happy. I don't even wear shorts away from home. I do own some skirts that I wear to Church, but that's it!! But now, I have always loved shoes. My RA limits what I can wear on these feet of mine now but flip flops were always a favorite during the summer. I had so many different pair it wasn't even funny. So that is the direction I went with fashion. I cut the flip flops from the Life Is A Beach cartridge. They can be found on page 64. I cut them at 3.5 inches for the front and 2.5 inches for the inside. I cut an extra strap for the front pair so I could pop them up. This great pattern paper I cut them out of came out of my scrap bin. It was way down on the bottom, so I have no idea where it came from. The bg designer paper is from Imaginisce-Banana Flip Flop. Isn't it great?! The sentiment is from Fun in the Sun stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The rhinestones are from Recollections (Michaels). That is it!!! I think I'm gonna see if I can find the granddaughters some flip flops with bling on them so they can make a fashion statement!!! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)
Could not get this second picture to come out good for nothing!! Sorry!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Window to my World

I got in my crafty room yesterday while it was raining and did both last weeks and this weeks challenges for Bitten By The Bug 2. Yeah, we got rain again!!! The peas have popped up beautifully. I sure hope they do well. I so love them!!!! Oh, okay, back to the challenge at hand. This post is for the challenge that started last week. That theme is 'Window to my World'. You can see what their DT did here. I decided to cut my window from the Disney Princess-Dreams Come True cartridge. You can find it on page 58. I cut it and it's layers at 5.5 inches. The little bird you see through the window was cut from the Ashlyn's Alphabet cartridge. It is on page 43 and I cut it at .75 inches. I added a tiny black faux half pearl for it's eye. My shaped card was cut using my Big Kick and the Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals die cut. The blue layer is from the next size down. On the inside the white is the next size down and the sentiment size was cut from the Scalloped Ovals Large. On the two top blue layers I used a sponge dauber and Fresh Snow white ink from Papertrey Ink, to make 'clouds' in the sky. I popped up the window on 2 thickness of foam tape and the bird on one thickness. I used some pink faux half pearls around the scallop. The sentiment on the front and inside is from the Tweetie Hoo Puns stamp set from My Pink Stamper. That's it!!! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to Exploring Cricut's very first Blog Hop!!! Now if you came here from Exploring Cricut, then you are in the right place. If you just stopped by to visit, why Thank You! How about joining us for our Blog Hop. Some of the stops have blog candy to give away. And there is a challenge with a prize involved at Exploring Cricut. Our Blog Hop is Christmas In July, so we are sharing Christmas projects. I made 4 Christmas cards. I used the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge for all of my cuts. For my first card, I used the Elf that can be found on page 74. I cut her at 4 inches. I cut the blackout and silhuette and layer pieces. The designer bg paper is from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)-Holly Jolly Paper Pack. The Santa Hats and Snowflake Gemstones are also Paper Studio. The sentiment is from the Home For Christmas stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.

For my second card, I used the Reindeer cut on page 75. It is also cut at 4 inches. I cut the blackout, silhouette and layers from my scrapbin. The bg paper is from my stash. Not sure where it came from. The sentiment is from the Home for Christmas stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I finished off my card with some Rhinestones I picked up at Michaels.

For my third card I went with the tree on page 76. It is cut at 3.75 inches. I cut the blackout, silhouette and layers using cardstock from my scrap bin. The bg patteren paper is from Canvas Home Basics-Christmas Brights Cardstock. I just had to decorate my tree. I used these tiny buttons that I had in my stash. The sentiment is from the stamp set Holly Jolly from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.

My last card is featuring the snowman on page 77. I cut him at 4 inches. The blackout, silhouette, layers and bg paper are from my scrap bin. Decided I just had to add the snowman and blue buttons. These have been in my stash for way to long. They came from Hobby Lobby. I used Shore Twine from The Twinery in the holes of the buttons. My sentiment is from the Home For Christmas stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.

Your next stop is the great Annette. Head on over and check out what she has to share. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Bitten By The Bug 2-Here Comes the Sun

The challenge that started last week over at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to make a project using a Cricut sun cut. I designed one card, cut it and didn't like it. So I went back to the drawing board so to speak. I bought Campin' Critters on clearance the end of last week at Hobby Lobby and was happy to discover this sun on it. It can be found on page 40. I cut all of the layers at 3 inches. I wanted some music notes and was thrilled to discover some of those on this cartridge, too!!! They can be found on page 33. I cut these at 5 inches. My bg designer paper is from My Mind's Eye-Away We Go-6x6 designer cardstock paper pad. The sentiment is from the stamp set Fun in the Sun from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. Well, that's it. Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Cardz TV Christmas In July-#1

Mary of Cardz TV is doing her yearly Christmas in July challenges. I've been so busy this weekend, I only got the chance to get in my crafty room after supper tonight to make a card for the challenge. So this is what a thrown together as quickly as possible card looks like. I used the Winter Frolic cartridge and cut the birdcage with birds on page 58 at 4 inches. Using my Gypsy Girl to design my card, I did some hiding on the ribbon and holly to get the right colors. In the booklet it has the birds a light green. Now, I haven't seen birds other than those of the parrot family in green. So I cut mine white to make them look like doves. All of the cuts were made from scraps from my ever growing scrap bin. The bg designer paper is Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)-Christmas Holly. The gemstones are also Paper Studio. The sentiment is from the Holly Jolly stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I finished up my card by doing some doodling with my white gelly roll pen and then popping up the birdcage. Hope y'all like my Christmas card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Daily Project

Hello My Crafty Friends! Hope y'all are all well on this fine Saturday!! It just so happens to be my day to bring ya the Daily Project over at Exploring Cricut. Hope you have had the chance to check out all of the daily projects. Also, don't forget our challenge ends tonight at 9pm EST. So hurry and get your project linked.
For my project today I have a gift bag and a candle holder. If you missed my challenge project, just go      and check it out. I made the gift bag to match. I took a blue bag that I got at Hobby Lobby, covered the front in the striped paper (open stock-Hobby Lobby-last year). I then cut the fireworks from the Stand and Salute cartridge at 3.5 inches. I coated them with Waterfall Stickles. The tag is a premade that I got at Hobby Lobby. I covered it in the same paper and put the 'C' on it. It is the left over from the candle. The sentiment is from the Happy Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I added some Denim and Marashino Twine from The Twinery for the tie at the top. For my candle holder, I cut the 'C' from the Cricut Alpabet cartridge at 2.5 inches using vinyl. I placed the negative onto the candle holder and then coated the inside of the letter with Etching Cream. I coated it really well. It says to leave it on for 5 minutes, but I left it on a little over 10. I think it came out pretty good. I'm pleased with it anyways.
Now don't forget to enter our challenge! Hope y'all like my bag and candle holder!!!! :)

Cards By Jovan-Celebrate Challenge

Jovan of Cards By Jovan is celebrating her 3rd blogaversary by having a blog hop and a challenge. I really enjoyed the blog hop. So much that I hopped right into my crafty room and made a card for the challenge. The challenge is to create a card with a theme of 'Celebration'. And it can be anything you want to celebrate.
One of the ladies that I work with has a birthday this week, so I decided to celebrate her birthday by making her a card. I cut the balloons from the Celebrate With Flourish cartridge. They are the #22 image on the overlay. I cut them at 4.75 and one at 3.00 inches. I didn't want the swirl nor the string so I only cut the balloon layer. I cut each of the 4.75 inch ones twice so I could layer them for a little more sturdiness.  I then embossed each balloon using 3 different Cuttlebug Folders: Polka Dots, D'vine Swirls and Houndstooth. I popped up the pink and blue balloons on one layer of foam tape and the purple one on two layers. I tied Lilac, Shore and Blossom Twine from The Twinery on the balloons for my strings. Brought them together and knotted them so they would hang down the middle of my card. I took the same cardstock as my balloons and stamped and layered the sentiments. Both sentiments are from the stamp set Mini Messages from Scrappy Mom's Stamps. I rounded the corners of each layer, did a little doodling and popped them up on one layer of foam tape. I decided I needed to add a little bling. I pulled out these great Houndstooth Gemstones by Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) and added one to each sentiment piece. The bg paper is from K & Company. On the inside I added the little 3 inch balloon and one more gemstone. Hop over and help Jovan celebrate her blogaversary and enter her challenge. Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #111

What a wonderful day I had today!! I popped online this morning for a short time and then it started storming. I got off, shut my computer down and spent the rest of my day in my crafty room!!! It was so awesome to finally get rain!! It was good soaking in rain. I think I could hear the garden sighing with releaf! Over at Cricut Cardz Challenge the current challenge is 'Summer Fun'. They want a card with Summer as the theme, using any cartridge(s) and colors. I decided to make a 4x4 card and use my Imagine. I pulled out my Enjoy The Season Imagine cartridge. Flipped through the booklet and decided to print and cut the bear on page 9. I cut everything at 3.5 inches. I cut extra butterflies so I could pop them up. I love the bright colors. I didn't use the banner that cuts with this image. My bg papers are from My Mind's Eye-Happier-6x6 Paper Pad. The sentiment is from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps Happy Days set. I finished off my card with some little buttons from my stash. Hope y'all like my little 4x4 card!!!! :)

Paper Playtime-Die Cut Creations-Red, White & Blue

Can you believe it is the first Monday in July?!! Half of this year is already past!! WOW!!! Time sure flies when you're having fun!!! And Wednesday is the 4th!! Hope you have some great plans to celebrate our Freedom!!! But first, we would love for you to join us for our new challenge for Die Cut Creations. Our theme is Red, White and Blue. Use them as your main color in your project and make sure you use a die cut. We have a wonderful sponsor for this challenge. Our sponsor is Ginger Snap Scraps with a $10 gift card. Now to win, you have to enter our challenge with a new (no back links) creation and be a follower of Paper Playtime. I don't make a lot of cards for the 4th. I just don't send any out. But that is what I decided to make. I used the Independence Day cartridge. The cut can be found at #49 on the overlay. I cut it several times so I could cut out the heart. I just trimmed it away from the rest of the cut. Well, I did it on my Gypsy Girl, so I ran most of the cut off the side of the mat so I wouldn't waste paper cutting the whole thing and then cut it. I ran two of the hearts through my Cuttlebug using the D'Vine Swirl embossing folder. I also did some faux stitching with my white gel roll pen. The bg cardstock I have had for a few years. I'm not sure where I got it.  That's it. Head over to Paper Playtime and check out the great Red, White and Blue creations my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!! Then make something and link it up by noon, EST, Saturday, July 14th. Hope y'all like my card!! And have a wonderful and safe 4th!! Just remember why we celebrate!! If it wasn't for the brave men and women who have fought and are still fighting, we would enjoy the wonderful freedom that we do!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-4th of July

Happy Monday!!!! Hope everyone had an awesome weekend and are planning on having a big 4th celebration. Today at Exploring Cricut we are showing our 'red', 'white' and 'blue'!! And we hope y'all will join in with us and show yours, too!! Just make a card, layout or papercraft and link it by 9pm, EST, Saturday, July 7th. Please remember to add a cricut cut. Also, new creations-No backlinks, please.
For my card today I pulled out my Stand and Salute cartridge. I flipped through the booklet and decided to cut the fireworks on page 50 and the 'God Bless America' on page 68. After all, by the grace of God we can celebrate our freedom!! My fireworks were cut at 2.25 and 1.75 inches and the phrase at 2.50 inches. I cut two of the phrase and then cut the stars off of the red one and glued it on top of the blue. I then did some doodling with my white gel pen. The fireworks I cut out in white and then coated them with Waterfall Stickles. I then popped them up. The bg pattern paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio. I got it last year and still had a couple of sheets of it. The sentiment on the inside is from the Happy Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The most awesome stamps out there!! Go check them out!
That is it. Head over and check out the creations my DT Sisters and Brother have created for some inspiration! Awesomeness for sure!!!! And then create and link up! That's the only way you are in the running for the great prize! I gave this card to my Secret Sister at church yesterday. Come back by Saturday and see what else I made for her.
I am also entering my card in the Bitten By The Bug 2-Patriotic Challenge that started last Monday. Since I don't usually send out 4th of July cards I decided to combine the challenges. Hope y'all don't mind!!
Hope ya like my card!!!! :)
