Exploring Cricut-Daily Project

It's my turn to present the Daily Project for Exploring Cricut. Hope ya'll have been checking out what my DT Sisters have been doing each day for their Daily Projects. Awesomeness for sure! And don't forget that we have our 'It's A Spring Thing' challenge going on until 9pm EST time tonight. I decided to use my Imagine for this card. I just recently got the Lori's Garden Imagine Cartridge and just had to use this cut! It can be found on page 32. It is listed under Icons and it is the 3rd image. I printed it at 4 inches and then printed and cut it at 4 inches. I popped the cut piece over the printed piece to give it some dimension. I used the default colors for it. I think they are really pretty. I flipped it so it is facing the opposite direction than how it is in the booklet. The butterfly on the inside is the original direction. The sentiment is from K. Andrew Designs stamp set, Sympathetic Sayings. I used some Prima Say It In Pearls in Pink to finish up my card. Don't forget to enter our current challenge and come back Monday and see what our Guest Designer has created for your enjoyment. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #49

Kristie has announced that this will be the last challenge for Birthday Sundaes. I am sad but I do understand. I have so enjoyed joining in on the challenges. I didn't miss many of them. So for this last challenge Kristie wants a birthday card with number(s) on it and birthday wording/sentiment on the front. I decided to cut Dorothy from the Sesame Street and Friends cartridge. She can be found on paper 75. I cut her and her layers at 3 1/4 inches. I think she is a cutie with those big eyes. I coated them in Glossy Accents. The sentiment is from two different stamp sets from My Pink Stamper. I used Family and Friends and More Punny-licious. The bg pattern paper is from DCWV-the Celebrations Stack.  That's it. I hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Flourish

There's a new challenge going on over at Bitten By The Bug 2 and I made this card so I could join in on the fun!! They want a creation with one of the flourishs from the Cindy Loo cartridge. And don't be alarmed if you don't have this cartridge, 'cus you can just use one from another!! Can't beat that!! I used flourish 5 from page 42 on my card. I cut it and the layers at 2 1/2 inches. I also cut flower 7 from page 57. I cut it and it's layers at 3 inches. I wanted something to mount the flower and sentiment on, so I cut the shape from page 66 from the Elegant Edges cartridge. I used the oblong-shift and also cut the shadow for a back layer. I'm sorry, I forgot to note what sizes I cut these at. I adhered the shadow layer of each to my card front and popped up the top layer. I also popped the flower up. I used some Crystal Stickles and Glossy Accents on the flower and flourish. The sentiment is from the Think Spring stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Then I finished off my card with some pink faux half pearls. I used scraps from my scrapbox for my cuts. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge #7

Hard to believe it is the last Monday of March!! Where has the time gone?!! But ya know, there is one great thing about another month being almost gone-a new challenge for The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge. Our theme this month is Easter/Bunnies. Perfect time to get those cards made for Easter since it is April 8th!! I used this awesomely cute digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps. Check out Jodie's  store here to purchase some of her adorably cute digi stamps. The stamp I've used for my card is called 'Scene It Easter'. Isn't it so sweet?! I just love this trio of friends with their tulips and Easter Eggs. I colored it with my Copics and Spica's. The pattern paper I used for the bg is from Reminisce. The buttons are from Walmart and the sentiment is from my stash. I really can't remember who put it out. It is a clear stamp and isn't in it packaging any more. I use foam tape to pop up the digi after I trimmed it down, rounded the corners and backed it with a piece of the purple that I used behind the pattern paper. Hop over to The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge and check out the creations that my DT Sister's have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! And check back during the month, 'cus there just may be some new inspiration posted. I know I have some more that I will be making for our challenge. Now we want to see what you create. Make a card using a digi with an Easter/Bunnies theme and then link it up by 12pm., Saturday April 28th. Looking forward to seeing what you make!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-It's A Spring Thing

It's time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut and our theme this go around is 'It's a Spring Thing'. We seem to have skipped Spring here and went straight to Summer. I think we almost skipped Winter, too!!! We would so love for you to create a card, layout or papercraft celebrating Spring in the colors pink, green, yellow, purple, blue and white. I thought this was gonna be a piece of cake. I was so wrong!!! I had to put a bit of thought into this challenge. So I decided to pick my sentiment first and build around that. I used the Walk In My Garden cartridge for my flowers. They can be found on page 100 under the border feature. These are sunflowers. I didn't let it cut the little dots since I was cutting them at 2 1/4 inches. I used a black bic marker to make the dots instead. The sun is cut from the Life is a Beach cartridge, at 1 inch. Since I used my Gypsy Girl to design my card, I hid the dots on the sunflowers and the face on the sun using the hide contour. The grass is a Fiskars punch. I love it!! Makes cutting grass so much easier!!!  All of the papers I used to cut my flowers, sun, grass and bg paper are from my scrapbin. The sentiment is from the Think Spring stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Mary has some awesome stamps. Head over and check them out! Don't forget to check out the creations that my DT Sisters have created for insiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! You have until 9 pm, Saturday, March 31st. to link your creation. I'm so looking forward to visiting you and admiring what you make. Sure hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Cardz TV Spring Blog Hop

Welcome to Cardz TV Spring Blog Hop! If you got here from the fantastic Melissa's blog, than you are in the right spot. Wasn't her creation just awesome?! But if you just happened to stop by for a visit, well Thank You, but start at Mary's and hop along with us. Mary will be giving 2 sets of her fabulously awesome stamp sets to one lucky winner. Check out Mary's stamps here. I'll wait on you while you head over there and look.............awesome aren't they?! Our hop runs from 12:01 am EST, Saturday, March 24th until midnight EST, Sunday, March 25th. Now, onto my card:
I used the Simply Charmed cartridge. I cut the little ducky in the egg. Now, the cartridge only has the duck and the bottom half of the egg, and I wanted a top part, too. So using my Gypsy Girl, I added another piece of the egg and flipped it so I could see what size to cut it. I wanted it just a little bigger than the bottom so it would hide the duck. I cut an extra of the back piece of the bottom half of the egg so I could pop up the front. I added a brad to the side. All of the papers that I used for the egg and the bg papers are from my scrapbin. I used some Lilac Twine from The Twinery and wrapped it around the middle of my bg pieces. I also put some in the big button and tied it in a bow. The sentiments are from one of Mary's newest stamp sets, Farmyard Funnies. Such a cute cute set!! I did a little bit of doodling, used giggle eyes, coated the duck beak in glossy accents and use just a small amount of stickles on her little bit of feathers on the top of her head. She had to have a little bit of sparkle to her!! And added the buttons. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
Now head over to the fabulous Jeri's blog and check out her awesome creation. And if you get lost along the way, just hop back by and check the list below so you can find your way.
Leave me a message and I'll draw a winner for the blog candy that I will be giving away. (Photo below) You don't have to be a follower, but I will welcome you if you want to follow me. Also, due to postage, please have a U.S. or Candian address. I'm truly sorry about that.

Birthday Sundaes-Animal

What a fun challenge Birthday Sundaes is having this week. Create a birthday card with an animal on it. And remember to put the birthday sentiment/wording on the front. I had started designing another card for this challenge and didn't like the direction it was going. So I headed back to the drawing board, so to speak, and came up with this one. I cut the monkey and vines from the Create A Critter cartridge. The pattern papers are from the DCWV-Animal Crackers Stack. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. I did a little bit of doodling and put my monkey on an action wooble!! Yeah!! Makes him look like he is swinging!!! A real simple card, but I love it!!! Hope ya'll do, too!!! :)
 Here he is in action!

Bitten By The Bug 2-Welcome

The new challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to use the word 'welcome' on your project. You can use any cartridge. Since I need a card for a Baby Shower I'm attending this Saturday, I decided this would be the perfect time to get it made. I cut the 'Welcome Baby' and the onesie from the 3 Birds Life's A Party cartridge. The Scallop Square and the rounded square were cut from the Sugar and Spice cartridge. The scallop sentiment piece I cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge. The pattern papers are from K and Company-Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl Paper Pad. I added some faux stitching and some pink faux half pearls to finish off my card. Hope ya'll like it!!!! :)

Paper Playtime-Say It With Sentiments-Challenge #70

Gosh! March is more than half over! Can you believe it? Me either!! But here it is, the 3rd Monday of the month. Know what that means? Time for a new challenge for Paper Playtime-Say It With Sentiments! And our theme this time around is 'For The Guys'!! Now, I always have a hard time making a 'Guy' card. But I'm gonna tell ya that since I got the It's A Guy Thing stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps, I have an easier time! I just pick a stamp to use and build a card around it. That's what I did with this card. I chose the stamp 'You're the REEL deal!'. I knew that I wanted to use a rod and reel and a fish. I cut the rod and reel and the fish from the Simply Charmed cartridge and the pond is cut from the Create A Critter cartridge. I used some Glossy Accents on the pond to make it shiny. I put a little Star Dust Stickles on the fish. On it's fin and a little dab on the tail. The face is from the Critter Faces Set A Medium from Peachy Keen Stamps. I did a little bit of doodling. I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it down and used my Tim Holtz Distress Tool on it. The bg paper is from atd-momenta-Super Paper Pad-Family Outings. I think this will make a great birthday or Father's Day card. My BFF's Dad loves to fish, so I may give this one to her for him.  It makes him so happy to think she makes cards just for him. I love it!! He is such a sweet man. Head over to Paper Playtime and check out what my DT Sister's have created. Awesomeness for sure!! And then get to creating!! I'm so looking forward to seeing what you make. Link your creation up by noon, EST, Saturday, March 31st. Our sponsor for this challenge is Crop Stop. They are giving one lucky winner a $15 gift certificate. But the only way you will have a chance to win is if you create a project and enter our challenge! See ya there!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

It's Saturday and I'm off!! Whoo Hoo!!!!  I always look forward to every 4th Saturday! I work the other 3. Oh, and it's my turn for the Exploring Cricut Daily Project. I was flipping through the Baby Steps booklet when I did my challenge card and I saw this cute little bird and just knew I had to use it for a card. And what better than for my 'Daily Project'! It can be found on pape 59. I cut it at 2 3/4 inches. I cut the branch from the Create A Critter cartridge. It can be found on page 25. I cut it at 2 1/2 inches for the outside branch and 1 1/2 inches for the inside branch. I used the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder on my branches and on the nest. I used a jiggle eye on my little bird. The sentiment is from the Mini Messages stamp set from Scrappy Mom's. The bg paper is from BoBunny.
I sure hope ya'll have been checking out the daily projects that my DT Sister's have been sharing. Awesomeness for sure!!!! And don't forget to get your 'Food Frenzy' project entered by 9pm, EST, tonight! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Link your card up at Cardz TV and you just might be the lucky winner of one of Mary's awesome stamp sets!! I used the From My Kitchen cartridge to cut my cow. I wanted her to look different than norm since we are all so different. She has personality!! The patterned papers I used are from my scrapbin. I just dug through and found what I thought went pretty well together. The ribbon is from my stash as are the buttons. I used two of the stamps from the Barnyard Funnies and the word 'and' is from Mary's stamp set Think Spring. I used some Diamond Stickles on the tip of her tail and on her hair. Some Glossy Accents on her spots, hoofs, snout and utter. The little bitty pieces that go in the ears were so small that they tore so I used some Worn Lipstick Stickles instead.  Head over to Mary's Place and check out the cards that my wonderful DT Sisters created! Awesomeness for sure!! Then get to creating your card and link it up. I'm so looking forward to seeing what you make. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes-Green

The challenge at Birthday Sundaes is to make a birthday card and use green on it. When I thought of green, frogs came to mind. And I so love this cutie from the Create A Critter cartridge. I cut him at 3 inches along with his layers and the lily pad. I used some Glossy Accents on his red cheeks. I wanted it to look like he was floating on water, so I embossed the bg with the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls embossing folder. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Buggy Punnies set. The flower is from my stash and the green rhinestone is from Studio G. I did a smidgen of doodling and used some foam tape to do some poppin'. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
I'm really sorry this second photo is so bad. I took a bunch and this was the best!

Bitten By The Bug 2-Bunny or Chickie

What a fun challenge Bitten By The Bug 2 is having this week! They want to see bunnies or chickies on your project! I knew I wanted to make an Easter Card. (Gotta get those made for the Chickadees) But I wanted to use a different bunny instead of the traditional we usually see. So I went with this one from the Four Legged Friends cartridge. Isn't she a cutie?! I used some Glossy Accents on her eyes to give them a little shine and some Crystal Stickles on her ears, tail and tummy for some sparkle. I did a little bit of doodle on her. I popped her up using foam tape. The sentiment is a wooden stamp that I got in some blog candy I won. I trimmed it down, rounded the ends and used some of the bg paper as a backing and popped it up after doing some faux stitching on it. The bg designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket-Pixie-Licious-Flower Fields. The ribbon is some I had in my stash. Not sure where it came from. I did add a couple of little heart buttons in the top left corner and some doodling around the pink layer of cardstock. That's it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Food Frenzy Challenge

It's time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. Our theme for this challenge is 'Food Frenzy'. Create a card, layout or papercraft using any cricut cut of food. Can be recipes, table decor or anything with food. I've got baby on the brain. Oh No! Not me!!! Our oldest granddaughter is expecting our first great-granddaughter in May!! And then one of the guys that I work with, him and his wife are expecting. So we talk baby a 'little' bit at work!! So when I saw what our challenge was, I knew I had to use baby food on it. I pulled out the Baby Steps cartridge for my cuts. I cut the Bowl from page 38, but did not want to use the fork. I cut the spoon from page 58 instead. I cut these at 2 inches. The baby food can be found on page 66. I cut it at 1 1/2 inches. I used my Gypsy Girl so I could use the hide contour to get different colors for some of the pieces. The bg paper is k i Memories-Baby Cakes Pack. The sentiment is two different stamps sets from Cardz TV Stamps. The word 'Sweet' is from the Sweet Talk set and the words 'Baby' and 'Girl!' are from the Oh Baby set. I did a little bit of doodling and added some little heart shaped buttons to the corners of the sentiment piece. Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out the projects that my DT Sisters have created! Awesomeness for sure!! And then get busy and create something for our challenge!! You just may be the lucky one to win the prize!! But you gotta enter before you can win!! Just make sure you get your creation linked by 9 pm, EST, Saturday, March 17th. Looking forward to visiting your blog and checking it out!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Shamrock

This week at Bitten By The Bug 2 they want a project featuring a shamrock and the color green. I'm not the best at doing St Patty's day stuff, but I do try. This is my second attempt to get a card made for this challenge. I just didn't like the first. It wasn't right. It went into the recycle box. I was working on another card at the same time (do ya'll do that, too?), and I had picked this card base and bg papers for the other card. But decided it would work better for my shamrock card. I cut the shamrock and it's shadow from the Designer's Calendar cartridge and the rainbow was cut from the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge. The rainbow had a cloud on each end, but I cut off one of them so I could slip it under my shamrock. The sentiment is from a stamp set that Hobby Lobby put out. I've had it for several years. It has different stamps for different holidays. I did a small bit of doodling. That's it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Happy Birthday Cake

Good morning Everyone!! The sun is shining here, but it is a bit chilly. I have a card that I am entering into two challenges. The first challenge is Cricut Cardz Challenge. For challenge #103 Mary is asking for a birthday card with a cake or cupcake on it using any cartridge and colors. The other challenge I am entering it in is Birthday Sundaes. For challenge #46 they are asking for a birthday card with a birthday sentiment. Make sure the sentiment is on the front. Easy peasy. I decided to use the cake from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I didn't want the face on the cake. I decided to put faces on the flames of the candles. I used the Simple Simons Face Assortment stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps. The bg paper is from DCWV-the Celebration Stack. I used some Glossy Accents on the frosting and the candle flames. I cut an extra set of these so I could pop them up. I added three buttons to my card. Ran a small piece of Marashino Twine from The Twinery through the holes. I also did a little doodling. My sentiment is from a wooden stamp.  Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

I have decided that when you have so much white on the inside, it makes it really hard to get a good picture.

Paper Playtime-Delicious #69-Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

It is the first Monday of March so that means its time for a new challenge at Paper Playtime. Check out our new name! We will now be going by

Since there are other die cut machines out and about, Janis decided that we would expand from not just Cricut, but Cameo, eCraft, etc. Any die cut machine will do. And our theme for our challene is 'Flowers, Flowers, Flowers'. So make something with a die cut on it and flower(s). It can be a card, layout, alter project. Anything really as long as you have a die cut on it. I cut the hummingbird from the Art Nouveau cartridge. My Mom loves hummingbirds and I just had to cut this one to put on her birthday card. I cut it and all of it's layers at 3 1/2 inches. I used a brown faux half pearl for it's eye. I popped it up on 3 layers of foam tape. I wanted it to look like it was 'above' the flower. The flower is a Prima Flower. The set these (one on the inside also) are from is called Jardinere Londonerry. The piece I have the hummingbird and flower on was cut from the George cartridge. I cut two for the front so I could pop up the top one and one for the inside and then a smaller one for me to write my Mom a note on. The Happy Birthday is from the Handwritten Notes stamp set from Papertrey Ink. The bg paper is from My Mind's Eye Paper Pad. And guess what?! I'm sponsoring this challenge. So check out the picture at the end of my post to see what you could win. Now I want you to head over to Paper Playtime and check out the creations that my DT Sister's made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! And then get busy and create and then link up by noon, EST on Saturday, March 17th. Hope ya'll like my card! My Mom loved it!! Her birthday was this past Saturday. :)

Exploring Cricut-Daily Project

Well it's Saturday. And I get the ha 'pleasure' of working tonight. And I also have the great pleasure of getting to present the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. Hope ya'll have been checking out the daily projects my DT Sisters have been creating this week. Some awesomeness for sure!! And don't forget that you have until 9pm, EST tonight to link up your project for our current challenge. I promise I'll be by to visit and admire your creativity!! I've got Spring on the brain. I was flipping through the booklet for the Art Nouveau cartridge and came across this vase. Thought the flowers were very pretty and so Spring looking, so decided to give it a try. It can be found on page 71. It is called Vase 3. I cute all of the layers at 3 inches. And guess what? I didn't even use my Gypsy Girl for this card!! Really----I didn't!!! I'm just so glad I remembered how to work the buttons on my Expression!!!! Haha I pulled all the papers from my scrapbin except for the card base. I used the Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder on the bg paper. Thought it added a nice touch with the vase. I also used some white tulle. Wrapped it around the bg paper and tied a bow at the side. Put some foam tape on the vase to pop it up and put it over the tulle. The sentiment is from the Think Spring stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Mary has the best stamp sets. Hop over and check them out. I stamped it on the same paper as the bg, trimmed it down and cut a piece of the green to go behind it to set it apart from the bg paper. I also used foam tape on the back. I added some Recollections pearls in the corners of the sentiment piece. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
