So Lucky

Good morning!! Here it is the first Monday in March. Where did February go? Just zoomed by at my house. We are ready to start our March challenges at Bitten By The Bug 2. For our first one this month, our wonderful DT Sister Brenda is our hostess for this week. She has challenged us to make a project using a shamrock('s) from any Cricut Cartridge. Now I'm not one to send out St. Patrick's Day cards. I will wear green so I won't get pinched, but that's the limit of my celebration. So I'm really challenged when it comes to making a project. I cranked up my Gypsy Girl and keyed in shamrock into the search to see which carts had shamrocks on them. I decided to go with Paper Doll Dress Up. It can be found on page 40 in the accessories 3 layer. I cut them at 2 iinches. I didn't want to go with the ordinary green shamrocks, so I started searching in my stash for something different to cut them from. I came across the Cosmo Cricket-Mitten Weather 6x6 stack. I really liked some of the papers in it and thought they were just perfect. All of my cuts and the bg is from this stack. The mats I popped my shamrocks up on were cut from the Paper Trimmings cartridge. This can be found on page 44 in the square layer. I cut the mats at 2.5 inches. I stamped my sentiment on a piece of cream cardstock and trimmed it down. I inked around it and the shamrocks with some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. My sentiment is from the Happy Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I finished off my card with some white faux half pearls from Recollections.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and make a project for our challenge. Please make a new project (not back links please), my sure you link directly to your project and not just to your blog, make sure you use a Cricut Cut with our theme and also, please so we can more easily comment on your creation, turn word verification off. So looking forward to seeing what your make! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

LOL, Sharon. I will send my son a St. Patty's card, but that is about it - and that is ONLY because he looks so Irish!! You did a wonderful job on your Shamrock enhanced card. Great papers and layers. And of course I always love the inside of your cards too.
