Hey!

what's shakin'?  LOL Today just happens to be my turn to present the daily project at Exploring Cricut and I'm still in the Disney mood! This time I cut Mike from the Disney Best of Pixar cartridge. You can find him on page 45 and I cut him at 4.5 inches. I used some glossy accents on his eye, teeth, tongue, horns and nails. The bg dp is from DCWV-8x8-the Doodlin' Around Stack. I've had this stack for a while. I hand wrote the 'Hey!' on the front and the inside sentiment is from the 'FAQ's (frequently asked questions)' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. And to finish off my card, I put Mike on an action wobble!!!
Have you been checking our all of the daily projects that my DT Sister's have been posting each day? If not, you sure are missing some awesomeness!!! And have you entered our 'Cricut Choice' challenge this week? You still have time to do this, ya know. You have until 10pm, EST, this evening to link up a project.
Hope ya'll like my Mike card!!!! :)

For my card I went with a big fire to toast up my marshmallows. I cut this on my Cameo. I found the cut file in the Silhouette Store. It is #9715. I didn't cut all of the pieces that is in this file. I only wanted the fire and logs. Those cute marshmallows are also from the Silhouette Store. It is #42905. Aren't they cute with those smiling faces?! The designer bg paper is from Bo Bunny. I've had it in my stash for a good while. Thought it was perfect for this card! I did some chalking on my fire. Not sure if you can tell it or not. I popped up the marshmallows and branch. I put my sentiment on the inside. It is from the 'Be My Valentine' stamp set. You can purchase this set at Cardz TV Stamps.

Just Soaking up Rays!

Are you ready for a new challenge? The fabulous Michelle is our hostess for our challenge this week at Bitten By The Bug 2. She has challenge us to make a project with a water theme. Now how fun is that? Hubby and I aren't huge water people. In fact I don't think he has been in the water since I don't know when!! But this year I've visited my BBF and been in their pool a couple of times and one of our grands had a birthday party at the Aquatic Center and I just loved the water slides! So I decided to-hold on to your hats now-make a layout page!! Yes, you read that right. A layout page. Not a card!!! What was I thinking?! I just had to cut this lady in the inner tube from the Fun In The Sun lite cartridge and the last time I did, I made a card. So I decided on a layout this time. She is in the #15 spot on the overlay and I cut her at 5 inches. The sun is from the Just Because Cards cartridge. It can be found on page 44 and I cut it at 7.5 inches. Her bathing suit, hair ribbon and the photo mat are dp from My Mind's Eye. The journal piece is the other side from that same cardstock. I added a quadruple bow that I made from some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled. I love how full it is.
I popped up the sun on one thickness of foam tape and put my bathing beauty on an action wobble!!
The bg dp is from American Crafts. The sentiment that is on the journal piece is from the 'Fun in the Sun' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
That's it for me today! Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations that my DT Sister's made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure! And while you are there check the sidebar for the rules to our challenges. Then head to your crafty space and create a water theme project and link it by Sunday, September 1st. Looking forward to seeing what your come up with!
Hope ya'll like my layout page!! It makes me want to head to my BFF's and jump in their pool!! :)
I'm sorry, but I don't have a picture of her wobbling. Just couldn't get a good one that was in focus.

Look how full that bow is.

Reach for the Stars

Have we ever got an easy and fun challenge for you this week at Exploring Cricut. Diane has issued the challenge of using Cricut Choice. Use at least two cricut cuts from any cricut cartridges on you project. Now how easy is that?
I'm still in that Disney mold from our challenge last week and decided to use the Disney Best of Pixar cartridge. I used Pearl from page 28 and Peach from page 35. Pearl is cut at 3.5 inches and Peach at 2 inches. The bg paper is some that I dug up from my stash. Wish I had a bunch of this! I totally don't know where I got it from but I love it!! I've got to search my stash some more!! No telling what other treasures I might find! I popped Peach up on one thickness of foam tape and put Pearl on an action wobble!! So fun!!! I sued some glossy accents on the white of her eyes. The sentiments are for the 'Of Mice & Lil Men' stamp set from K. Andrew Designs.
Okay, now it is your turn. Head on over to Exploring Cricut, check out the rules for our challenges, check out the projects that my DT Sister's made for inspiration-awesomeness for sure! Then head to your crafty space and create a project to link by 10pm, EST, Saturday August. 31st. We are so looking forward to seeing what you create!
Hope ya'll like my Pearl and Peach card!!!! :)

You're so Tweet!

Morning! Can you hear the birds singing this morning? Don't they sound so wonderful!!! Today our theme for our new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to use a Cricut cut of a bird on a project. Our wonderful DT Sister Melanie is our hostess this week. Head on over and check out her project and the projects of my other DT Sister's. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there, check the sidebar for the rules of our challenges.
For my card this week, I went with the Chore Chart cartridge. This bird in it's cage is found at the #49 spot on the overlay. I cut it at 3.75 inches. I cut an extra cage so I could pop it up. I added a tiny black faux pearl for the birds eye and a rhinestone from Recollections on the top of the cage. The dp is from Karen Foster. I found it in my stash. The sentiment is from the 'For the Birds' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
We sure hope you are going to join our challenge this week. You have until Sunday, August 25th to link.  Looking forward to seeing what you create.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!

Your are in my Thoughts and Prayers

Morning!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I worked half of mine and we went to the Ice Cream social after Church last night. Which was pure fun!!! Yeah, I ate way to much ice cream and toppings, but I can diet today!!
Today starts my vacation. I think I'm excited! It will be a super busy week. Instead of Spring cleaning, we will be doing Fall cleaning. Inside from top to bottom and outside, too. I'm hoping to be able to get into my crafty room at some point, but I don't know. I may be to tired!!
Well, enough of my chitty chat.
Today starts the new challenge at Paper Playtime. Our fearless leader Janis has challenged us to use 'pearls' on our project. I couldn't decide what I wanted to make. I thought about all of the beautiful cards I've seen with all these embellies and pearls all over them, but that just isn't my style. I cranked up my laptop and got into my Cameo software to see what I had there. I picked this great card base by Lori Whitlock. It is called 'Wave'. It is #44894 in the Silhouette Store. The one in the store had cloud paper on it, so I went with that on mine. Now, what to add to it. Went searching some more and found this adorable bird I had bought. It is called Imaginisce Bird and is #41942. I cut both the card base and the bird at the sizes that they download into the software at. I did cut an extra base and top layer for the inside and then made another piece smaller for the inside of my card. I popped up my bird with one thickness of foam tape. I didn't cut the eye for the bird as I wanted to use a black faux half pearl instead. This and the pearl flourish is from Recollections. The sentiment is from the 'Heartfelt Wishes' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. You can get your very own set right here. But ya know what, you just might be lucky enough to win a set if you enter our challenge. Mary is our sponsor and will be giving away one of her stamp sets. But you have to enter our challenge to have a chance to win!! Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out the rules to our challenges and while you are there check out the creations that my DT Sister's have made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Then head on to your crafty space and create something and use some pearls on it, then link it up by Sunday, September 1st. So looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Keep on Swimming!

Keeping with our 'Disney Dreaming' theme for our challenge this week at Exploring Cricut I went with Cleo from the Disney Classics cartridge for my Daily Project. She can be found on page 57 and I cut her at 4 inches. I used some glossy accents on her eyes and popped her up.
Well, that is it for me today. I hope you have entered our challenge this week. If not, you still have time. Until 10pm, EST. So get to creating and linking!!! And by the way, have you been checking out the daily projects that my DT Sisters have been presenting? If not, you sure have been missing some awesomeness for sure!!!
Hope ya'll like my Cleo card!!!! :)

My inside sentiment is from Mary's 'Good Time's' stamp set.

Monday Morning with Bitten By The Bug 2

Okay, so I couldn't come up with a clever title for my blog post!!  But hey, it is Monday and Bitten By The Bug 2 is starting a new challenge. Our wonderful DT Sister Julie is our hostess this week and she has challenged us to use a moon or star(s) from any Cricut Cartridge. I went with this cute moon from Campin' Critters cartridge. It can be found on page 39 and I cut it and it's layers at 3 inches. I used some glossy accents on the eyes and star and Star Dust Stickles on the cuff of the cap and the dot where the star is attached to the tip of the night cap. The bg paper is from my stash. The star gemstones are from Hobby Lobby. The triple bow is some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled. I haven't added a sentiment to this one yet. Not sure what I am going to use it for.
Head over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sisters have created for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!
While you are over there check the sidebar for the rules for our challenges. Then head to your crafty space and get to creating. You have until August 18 to link up your project. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!!

Disney Dreaming with Exploring Cricut

Morning Crafty Friends!!! We are having a really fun challenge this week at Exploring Cricut. Our theme is Disney Dreaming. Our trusty leader Diane has challenged us to create either a card, a layout or papercraft using a Disney character from any Cricut Cartridge. See, I told you it was a fun challenge didn't I?
For my card I went with a 6x6 and used Disney Classics cartridge. I just love this cut of Flower from Bambi. Isn't she so adorably cute?! She can be found on page 69. I cut her and all of the layers at 4.5 inches. I like to cut my Disney charters big so the small parts are teeny tiny!! The only thing that was way to small was the dot in her eye, so I used my white gelly roll pen and dotted her eye. Hehe! I made a funny!!! :) The bg paper is from a Disney paper pad I picked up a good while back at Hobby Lobby. I used some glossy accents on her eye and mouth. Star Dust Stickles in the center of the flowers. All of the sentiments are from the 'Family & Friends' stamp set from My Pink Stamper. I finished off my card by adding some pearl flourishes.
Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out the creations that my DT Sister's made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head on to your crafty space and create something using any Disney Character from any Cricut Cartridge. You have until 10pm. EST, Saturday, August 17th to link you project. I'm so looking forward to seeing what you come up with!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

I was so afraid that I would have a hard time with this challenge. But I was 'happy' to realize that it was really an easy one! I went shopping in the Silhouette store and found this adorable bumble bee. It is #39896. I cut this little cutie out, put it together, stickled the wings with Crystal Stickles and used Glossy Accents on all if the black parts. I did a tiny little bit of doodling. Hope you all have fun with this linky party! Good luck everyone...we can't wait to see what you create

I made an A2 card for our very first Go-To Galz Linky Party! I popped into the Silhouette Store and went shopping for things to do with sewing. This is what I came up with:

Pretty cute, don't ya think? I finally used that craft sewing machine that I just had to have a few years ago, that hubby bought me for my birthday. Shhhh, don't tell him, he thinks I had already used it!! As you can tell, I got it off to a bad messy start and I can't stitch a straight line!! But I think it adds charter to my card! This pin cushion is #10576 in the Silhouette store. I'm still learning all of the ends and outs of using my Cameo. But I'm loving it! The bg DP is from Cosmo Cricket-Garden Variety. And the awesome sentiment is from one of Mary's new stamp sets called 'Sew Much Fun'!!! You can buy your very own set right here.

I hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
