Love

Morning bloggie friends!! Hope ya had a great weekend!! I worked all weekend, but hey, that's okay. It just makes me that much for ready for the great new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. My wonderful DT Sister Julie is our hostess this week. She has challenged us to make a project with the theme Wedding/Wedding Anniversary. Since wedding season is upon us, now is a good time to get something made. I pulled out my Tie The Knot cartridge for this card. I used the card feature and cut the mat. It can be found in the #31 spot on the overlay. I cut it at 4.5 inches. Then on the #13 spot, you will find these cute little doves. I cut them at 1.75 inches. I used some faux pearl flourishes from Recollections to bling up the front. Then I finished the front off with a piece for crinkle ribbon and a double bow. Ribbon crinkled and dyed by 'Me'! On the inside I used a small piece of the flourish and used the 'Love' that cut from the mat. And of course, I can't get my picture colors to match no matter how many I take!!! Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sisters made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! And while you are there check out the rules to our challenges. They can be found in the right column. Then head to your crafty space and create something new with the theme, Wedding/Wedding Anniversary. You have until Sunday, May 5th to link it. So looking forward to seeing what you make!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

May God's Love........

How are ya'll doin'?!! Hope ya had an awesome weekend and are ready for a new week. Today marks the start of a new challenge over at Paper Playtime. Our theme this go around is to Emboss. Yep, pretty simple. You can either dry or wet emboss or if you so chose, do both. I decided to make a CAS card. I bought this great stamp set from Jaded Blossom called 'Simply Blessings'. Fabulous set of stamps. Great for Easter, baptism, etc. I chose the cross. First I used my Spellbinders Labels Eight and cut out this shape from cream paper, the next size up from black and then the next size from another piece of cream. I stamped the cross on the smallest piece. I then embossed the black piece using the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirl folder and the largest cream piece with the Swiss Dots embossing folders. The bg designer paper came from my stash. I've had it so long that I can't remember where I got it nor who put it out. I stamped the sentiment on the inside. This stamp is also from this same stamp set. And that's it. Like I said, CAS!!! Now, we would so very much love it if you decided to join us for our challenge. Just make a new project, using dry and/or wet embossing and then link it by Sunday, May 12th. Head over to Paper Playtime and check out the projects my DT Sisters made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Looking forward to seeing what you create!! Oh, and one more thing. The prize this time is being sponsored by The Scrapbooking Queen. The prize is 'The Royal Garden' stamp set. Now create and link. That's the only way to be in the running for a chance to win!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Happy First Birthday

Guess what? It's Saturday and it's my turn to present the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. I sure hope you have been checking in each day to see what my DT Sisters have been making for inspiration each day. If not, well you sure are missing some awesomeness for sure!!!
I needed a birthday card for a special little girl that I know. She celebrated her very first birthday. And since she loves Elmo, I just had to make this Elmo from the Sesame Street Friends Cartridge. He can be found on page 29 and I cut him out at 4 inches. I love this one because he looks so excited to being telling her 'Happy Birthday'! And of course I just had to put him on an Action Wobble. The bg cardstock is from DCWV. And the sentiment is from two different stamp sets by Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. For the 'Happy' I used the 'Classic Christmas' set and for the 'First Birthday' I used the 'Oh Baby' set. That's it for me today. If you haven't entered our current challenge you still have time. Just make a new project which includes a Cricut cut of a flower celebrating Spring. And link it up by 10pm, EST tonight. Hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend and that ya'll like my card!!!! :)

I had a hard time getting him in 'Action', but if you look closely, you can tell that he is!!

Purse card and box

Morning everyone!!! I have a couple of projects that I made that I want to share with you. I bought a Silhouette Cameo and am learning how to use it. I needed a card for our great granddaughter's first birthday this weekend. My friend Janis had made this adorable purse card and I knew I just had to buy that file and make one. Our granddaughter's party theme is owls, so I used the cute paper from K & Company. I found this adorable princess purse in the Silhouette store and just had to get it and make it for her, too. I really love that it cuts everything you need to make your project. Each piece is just the right size, etc. The box was so easy to put together. I finished the card and box with a Sassafras flower and some Studio G Gems. The ribbon on the purse box is some crinkle ribbon that I died. The inside of the purse card says Happy Birthday. I just couldn't get a good picture.
Now, don't think that I am giving up my Cricut, because I'm not!!! I so love my Expression and Expression 2 and I could never do without my Gypsy Girl!!!! The Cameo is just another tool to enhance some of my crafting. Hope ya'll like my purse card and purse box!!!! I can't wait to see how our great grand likes them!  :)

The front of the box. I added some acetate to the window.

Man Up!

It's Monday, and time for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our wonderful DT Sister Jayne is our hostess this go around. And does she ever have a hard fun challenge!! The theme is Man Up! Mad a bag, box or container for a man. See, I told you it was hard fun!!! Now, I'll be the first to say that I have a really hard time making a masculine anything!! Be it a card or whatever. I racked my brain on what to make. I decided to look at my cartridges that are more manly in my opinion. I decided to make the back pack from the Campin' Critters cartridge. It can be found on page 69. I cut it and it's layers at 10.75 inches. Now I've never made this before and I noticed some things that I did wrong. I won't point them out to you. I'm just going to pretend that it is perfect!!! :) I didn't go fancy with it since I'll give it to a guy. I did want to use a little pattern to it, so went with some pattern cardstock for that. The sentiment I added is from the Sun Kissed stamp set from Scrappy Mom's. This backpack box will be great to put a gift card and maybe a little small treat in it for a very special guy. Sure hope you decide to join our challenge. Head over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check the sidebar for the challenge rules. And while you are there, check out the creations that my DT Sisters have made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Then head to your crafty space and make something following our theme and then link it by Sunday April 28th. So looking forward to seeing what you make!!! Hope ya'll like my backpack!!!! :)

April Showers Bring May Flowers

So glad you decided to stop by on this fine Monday!! We have a new challenge for you over at Exploring Cricut. Diane has challenged us to make a project including a flower celebrating Spring! For my project I made a 6x6 card and used the April Showers cartridge. I cut the clous that can be found at the #6 spot on the overlay at 105inches, the umbrella that is at the #9 & 19 spot at 2.75 inches and the flowers that are at the #22 & 32 spots on the overlay at 1.25 inches. The grass is a Fiskars punch. I embossed the clouds using the QuicKutz Embossing Folder Swirls. I made two layers of grass, popping up the top layer. I put some faux half pearls in the center of the flowers. On the umbrella, I did a little doodling and added some White Opal Liquid Pearls to the tips of the umbrella and the handle. The 'raindrops' are Skittlz from Pez-A-Doodle Designs. I put the sentiment on the inside. It is from the 'Think Spring' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Now it's your turn. Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out what my DT Sisters have made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure! Then head to your crafty space and create a new project, using a Cricut cut flower and following our theme of 'April Showers Bring May Flowers'. You have until 10pm, EST, Saturday, April 27th to link you project. Looking forward to seeing what you create! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Cute As A Button

It's time for a new challenge for the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team and do we ever have a fun challenge for you!! Our theme is 'Cute As A Button', so we are asking you to use buttons on you project. Told you it was a fun challenge!! I wanted a chocolate chip cookie so I turned on my Gypsy Girl and went in search of one. Found this one on the From My Kitchen cartridge. Using my Gypsy Girl, I hid the gingerbread man that was with the cookie. I also hid the tick marks for the choc. chips. Instead of using the ones that cut, I used these chocolate colored tiny little buttons!! The great sentiment is from the new Foodie Punnies stamp set that Mary has. You can buy your own set right here. I finished off my card with a double bow that I made using some ribbon that I crinkled and dyed. Now, we really want you to come create with us. Head over to Cardz TV and check out what my DT Sister's have made. Awesomeness for sure. Then head to your crafty space and make something new (no back links please) with buttons on it. You have until noon, EST, May 2nd to link your project. And who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win one of Mary's stamp sets!! So looking forward to seeing what you make! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Welcome Baby

Welcome to our new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our wonderful DT Sister Caroline is our hostess and she has challenged use a Cricut Cartridge Baby Cut to make a new baby project. I don't need a baby card at the moment but I'm sure I will in the near future. I decided to go with the Heritage cartridge. I cut the baby stroller on page 38 at 4 inches. I cut it three times so I could paper piece the different colors. I added some faux half pearls is a soft pink to the center of the wheels and then popped it up on one thickness of foam tape. The sentiment is from the Tiny Tags Stamp Set from My Craft Spot. I stamped the tag and then the sentiment inside and trimmed around it. This is the first time I've used this set and I think I'm going to like it. The bow is some crinkle ribbon made by me. Yeah, I crinkled and colored my first ribbon and I'm loving it!!! I did a total of four different colors, and chose this one for this card. I think it goes perfectly with it! The bow on front is a double bow. First time I've tied one of those, too! I used the bow maker from 3 Girl Jam. Made it so much easier to make!! The designer papers I used are from My Minds Eye-Lost & Found-Market Street 6x6 pad.
We would so love it if you decided to join our challenge. Please us a Cricut cut and make a new project following the theme for this week. The rest of the rules can be seen on the side bar at Bitten By The Bug 2. And while you are over there, check out the creations my DT Sisters made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and get to creating!! Just make sure you link up no later that Sunday, April 21st. So looking forward to seeing what you make!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Little girls.......

Morning! Hope you had a great weekend and are now ready for a new challenge at Paper Playtime. Our theme is to make a card with more than one fold. I'm so use to taking a piece of cardstock cut the size I want it, folding it in half and creasing it and making my card. I just don't usually make more than one fold in my cards,  so I was excited to have this challenge. I colored up this really cute digi stamp from Pink Cat Studio. It is calle Lily Sunshine Fairy on Swing. I used my Copics and Spica Glitter Pens to color her. Then I used a Spellbinders Labels Eight to cut around the digi. I took an 8.5x5.5 piece of cardstock, folded it in half, creased and then took the top and folded it back in half, creased and made a z-fold card. Added some blue cardstock for the bg and then attached the digi to the front flap. The buttons are from my stash. I think I got those at JoAnns. The sentiment is from the 'All Girl' stamp set from Pink By Design. And that's it!! We sure hope you decide to join us for our challenge. Please make a new creation following the theme which is more than two folds and link back to you project, not just to your blog. You can see the rest of the challenge rules over at Paper Playtime. And while you are over there checking them out, go look at what my DT Sisters have created for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!!! Then head to your crafty spot and make a project and link it by April 28th so we can come by and admire it. Also, who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win the prize for this challenge. Our prize is being sponsored by Lucy. So you don't want to miss out on a chance to win!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

I cut a Spellbinders Grommet Tag to stamp my sentiment on. This sentiment and the one on the inside are from the Heart to Heart stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The bg paper I pulled out of my scrap bin. I added some faux half pearls to the umbrella and in the corner.

It's A Spring Thing

Morning, Morning, Morning!!!! Has Spring finally sprung? Oh I sure hope so!!! I'm ready and I know you are too!!!
We have a great challenge for you at Exploring Cricut. We are celebrating Spring, but with a twist. Diane challenged us to create a project using at least one button, 2 Cricut Cuts and 3 Colors of Pattern Paper or Cardstock. Now how fun is that?!!
I decided to pull out my poor neglected Create A Critter 2 cartridge to use to make my card. I went with a 6x6 so I could get what I wanted on it and it not be crowded. I cut the tulips on page 42 at 2.25 inches. The butterfly from page 41 at 1.75 inches. The grass (which I welded together so I could have it all the way across) from page 42 at 2.43 inches. And the 'sun' is the burst from page 52 and I cut it at 2.25 inches. I also did a little bit of doodling. The faces are from Peachy Keen Stamps. Snow Cuties-PK-500, Happy Lashes-PK-460 and Simply Simons-PK-530. My sentiments are from the 'Think Spring' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.  That's it.
Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out the creations that my DT Sisters and Brother made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and create a new project (no back links please) and come by and link it up. Make sure you follow the requirements of our challenge. At least 1 Button, 2 Cricut Cuts and 3 Colors of Pattern Paper or Cardstock. You have until 10pm, EST on Saturday, April 13th to link. Looking forward to seeing your creation!! Mix It Up

Happy Friday!!! Hope you have a great weekend planned. Today we have a new challenge for ya over at Cardz TV. Mary challenged us Cardz TV Stamps DT to make a creation using 3 Patterned Papers. Hence the title 'Mix It Up'. Just mix up those patterns. I went with the Create A Critter cartridge to make my card. I cut the cute frog from page 24 at 3 inches for the front and 1.75 for the one on the inside. I sent with goggly eyes. I so love these colored ones with the eyelashes. All of my papers are from my scrap bin. The striped and flower is two sided. Love those because they coordinate.  The sentiment is from the 'Toad-ally Awesome' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. That's it for me today. Head on over to Cardz TV and check out the creations my DT Sisters have made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty space and create a new creation using 3 patterned papers. Don't be a bear...

Morning ya'll!!! Hope you had a very Blessed Easter. And got to spend time with family and friends. We had a fabulous time at our DD and SIL. Great food and a great time with them and our Grands!!
And now here it is the first day of April. April Fool's Day. Don't let yourself get fooled!!!
It is also the start of a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our wonderful Guest Designer-Susan-has issued us a great challenge for this week. We are to use the Clown Bear from the Teddy Berar Parade cartridge. Now we know everyone doesn't have this cartridge, so if you don't use any clown from any Cricut cartridge.
For my card I decided to make it 6x6. That way I could cut my Teddy Bear Clown bigger. I cute him at 4 inches. And I just love him!!! I added some rhinestones from Recollections to the flower on his hat and the center of his flower buttons and in the corners. I didn't want the doggie balloon on his hand so I took some Cantaloupe Twine from The Twinery and attached it to the balloon so it could float in the air. I also wrapped some around my card. I took a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval and placed it behind my bear. The sentiment is from the Beary Sweet stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I used a Spellbinders Nested Pennant from my sentiment piece on the front. The striped bg paper is from DCWV-the Celebration Stack.
Head over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations my DT Sisters made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there check out the rules that are listed on the side bar.
The head to your crafty space and make a new creation with a 'clown' on it so we can come by and admire it. Make sure you use a Cricut cut!! You have until Sunday, April 7th to link up. Can't wait to see what you make!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Just don't understand why I use the same lighting and the inside color never looks like the outside!!
