Paper Playtime #44 Digi Monday-Friends

I hope ya'll had a wonder and Blessed Easter! Nothing better than attending church, celebrating what Christ did so selfishly for us and spending time with family. Makes for a perfect day!! Hope your's was perfect, too!
So now it's Monday and time for Digi Monday at Paper Playtime This month we are doing it a little differently. Instead of it being anything goes, we are doing a theme!! Our theme is 'friends'. Make a paper project for or about a friend. The digi's that I used are from Di's Digi Downloads She has some of the cutest digi's! Hop over and check them out!! Adorable!!! I made two cards. Yeah I know. Couldn't help myself!  For the top card I used Hoppy Bunny. Isn't she so sweet with her flowers! I colored her with Copics. I ran her through my Cuttlebug with a Nestablities Labels Two die cut. Popped it up on my card. Then I added some K and Company flowers. These were some blog candy I won. My sentiment is from two different stamps. 'my friend' is from My Pink Stamper Everday Occasions set and the rest of the sentiment is from Stampin' Up Whimsical set that is blog candy that I won. The card base and bg cardstock I pulled out of my scrap bin. Now for the other card. I used Maisy on Chaise Lounge. So sweet with her little puppy! Colored her with my Copics, too. The two bg papers are from Fancy Pants-My Family stack that I had picked up at Hobby Lobby at half off. I rounded the corners of everything. I had these floral surfaces by Petaloo that I first sprayed with Tutti Fruitti Glimmer Mist and then with Sparkle Shimmer Spritz. The sentiment I did on the computer. I punched it out and punched a couple more to give it thickness and then popped it up. I was going to say that I punched it off center so I could bling it up, but I didn't mean to punch it that way. So I added the bling to fill in the space. I think it turned out pretty cute that way. I then added bling to the center of the flowers.

Hand update: Got the stitches out last Tuesday. Doing hand exercises. Have to wear handbrace 24/7 until this Tuesday, then just at night. I'm in high hopes that when I can take it off during the day that I can get back to crafting!! I can't grip tightly 'cus I have no strength in my hand but I'm working on it!! My guess is that I will be back at work next Wednesday so won't be able to visit your blog as often! :(

Flaunt It Fridays-#20

I'm just loving Fridays. Not just because it's the end of the week, but there's a new challenge over at Flaunt It Fridays This week we are 'Flaunting' the Cindy Loo Cartridge. And it is 'Anything Goes' this week!! So just chose what 'YOU' want to 'Flaunt' and create!!! Now, if you don't have this cart, just use something similar and craft away! And hey, for an added challenge, try something different from what you did last week. Last week I did a bookmark and the week before I did a card so this week I did a layout. Yeah, not a card!! And I have to say that I really really love this layout. A whole lot better than last weeks bookmark!! I used the frame and flowers from page 51. I cute one frame in pink and the other in lilac. The flowers in purple and dark pink. The blings were clear, so I used some Copics, pink and purple and colored them. Did some faux stitching, popped up the flower buds and leaf inserts. The frames I did not glue down at the top so I can insert photos. I think this will be great for some Easter photos. Now it's your turn to 'Flaunt' your stuff. Flaunt It Fridays-#19

Friday again! It's Friday again! WhooHoo!!! A new challenge over at Flaunt It Fridays is waiting for ya'll to create and enter!!! This week we are 'Flaunting' the Simply Charmed cartridge. The 'fish 2' on page 41. It is the fish that you get with the shift key. All of it's layers are the shift also. Now I have to tell ya'll that I'm not really crazy about my project. I wanted to do something different since I made a card last week. I cut this tag from Tags/Bags/Boxes & More cartridge. I cut 4 to make it thick. Then I added my fish, etc. I got on the computer and printed 'read' three times , cut it out and then rounded the corners. Did some faux stitching on it and said, okay, it's done, but I'm not really happy with it. Ya'll have a week to create and enter. So get to 'Flaunting' and link up your project! Can't wait to see what ya'll make. For an added challenge, make something different from last week. While ya'll are over there linking up, take a look at what the DT has created to inspire ya'll. Paper Playtime-#43

It's Monday. Yeah, Monday. Usually Mondays aren't all that great for most, but this one is! Why? Well, we have a new challenge for ya'll over at Paper Playtime so that makes it a 'great Monday'!! For this challenge the theme is weather. Use sunshines, rain, rainbows, clouds.....or anything that pertains to the weather. Just as long as it is made from paper. It can be a card, layout, altered item, etc. So create and enter by midnight CST on Saturday 4/23. Plenty, plenty of time! And while ya'll are over there linking, check out what the other Queens have created to inspire ya'll!!! I decided not to make a card for this challenge. I know! Hold your chest 'cus you're having heart failure, cus Sharon didn't make a card!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!! I used Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge for all of my cuts. The rainbow/unbrella/raincoat I coated in Glossy Accents and the sun I coated in Aleene's Paper Glaze. I used this big pink bling in the center of Kitty's bow. The right bottom corner is where I'll put a photo when I come across one that will be perfect there. The back ground that I mounted everything on is American Crafts-Heavenly Clouds, that I picked up at Hobby
Lobby. Okay, now it's your turn to enter a project. Can't wait to see what ya'll create. Hope we have as many entries as we did these past 2 weeks for Digi Monday. Can you say WOW!!!! And all the entries were awesome!! Looking forward to seeing ya'll there! Hope ya like my layout!!! :)

Baby Card and Surgery Update

There is a Baby Shower this afternoon for a couple at Church. They are having a littl girl. This is a diaper, shampoo, lotion, etc. shower. Mom and I went in together for all the needed goodies. Last week before surgery day, I made this card. I used the Sugar and Spice Cartridge, Ki Memories-Baby Cakes cardstock pack for the background. I stamped Congrats on the inside. Mom wrote a little message for us. I think it turned out really cute. Photo posted below my rambling!!
Update on surgery. We were there alllllllll day!! It went well. I'm all bandaged up. From just below my fingers to almost my elbow. Am not allowed to even use my fingers for a couple of weeks although I have to keep wiggling tem so they don't stiffen up. Came home nicely doped up. Doesn't take much to work on me. I take enough meds for my RA so I don't like to take much of other stuff. I don't want to get depended on it. I figure that if I can handle RA pain, I can handle other pain also.  I've been going in my craft room and longingly looking at my stuff! LOL I've been visiting blogs. Takes a little longer to comment using just my left hand but am getting a little faster at it. I've gotten some blog awards lately and will be posting those at some point in the next week. Those that have blessed me with them, I just want you to know that I haven't forgot and Thank You!!! I'm hoping to lose a pound or two since it takes me longer to eat lefthanded. I'm getting full quicker. Maybe I've hit upon a great weight loss plan!! Well guess I'll hush for now. Come back by tomorrow and see what I've made for the new Paper Playtime challenge. Flaunt It Fridays-#18

It's Friday again so that means a new challenge over at Flaunt It Fridays This week we are 'Flaunting' the sheep on page 42 on the Country Life Cartridge. I wasn't really sure what I was going to do with this. I thought about making a banner but didn't know what I would use it for. So, I keep thinking. I shuffled through all the stash of papers/cardstocks that I have and came across this this Cosmo Cricket-Garden Variety stack that I have. I flipped through it and found this cute little red cardstock with these white burst things on it. I decided that would make a cute sheep. Kept shuffling and found this My Little Shoebox-Black Sheep cardstock that I have. Decided it would be perfect for the background. Then I had to come up with a sentiment. Different was going though my mind so I came up with 'Dare To Be Different'. I printed it on my computer and then used a circle punch and punched it out. Punched out several circles to give it some depth. Added some blue bling and a white little dash to the eye area to finish it up. Now it's your turn to 'flaunt' your stuff. Now if you don't have this cart, use a similar cut from any cart and create and then hop over and link it up so we can visit you and admit it. For an added challenge, try making something different from last week! You have a week to enter. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Mother's Day

This week over at Bitten By The Bug 2 the challenge is to make a Mother's Day card. If you have the Mother's Day 2010 Cartridge, use any of the sayings on it. If not, there are sayings on other carts or you could weld some using your Gypsy or Design Studio if you have one of those. Or you could just cut the letters and use them that way. I chose to cut the word 'Mother' and it's bg from the MD2010. I found this  pink with flowers cardstock in my scrap bin and thought it would be cute to use. I have these great K and Company Flowers that I won as blog candy that I thought would look great on my card. Decided it needed a little bit more so I used some pink bling. That's all. Just a really quick and simple card. Now hop over and link up a Mother's Day creation!! You have plenty of time since a new challenge won't be announced until next Monday!! My Sheri Crafts-#51

This week over at My Sheri Crafts the theme is 'April Showers'! We had one of those last night, but it was more than a shower!!! Big time storm. Lightning, thunder, wind, etc, but turned into a beautiful day today!! A little chilly for a Spring day though. So my card is the aftermath of an April Shower. I used Nate's ABC's Cartridge for the main image and Pooh and Friends for the clouds. Cut a piece of brown cardstock with a , I guess you could call it a swirl blade, to be the mud. Glued the bottom part of the image but not the handle and cattail. I like how it stands out. I didn't put a sentiment on this one. I will when I decide what I'll use it for. Sheri will have a new challenge Saturday, so that means ya'll have plenty of time to create an 'April Showers' project and link it up! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Missing In Action

Hello all my awesome bloggy friends!!! I just wanted to let you all know that I will be missing in action for just a little while. I know I haven't been the best blog follower lately and I'm really sorry for that. I've been trying to get some design team projects done ahead so I will at least have a little to post. This Thursday I will be having carpel tunnel surgery done on my right hand. And since I am right handed, there will be no crafting of any kind going on for a few weeks. Oh how I'm going to miss crafting!!!! I will take this time to visit all of you that I have negelected so terribly. I will be slow typing only left handed so I hope ya'll will just bear with me. I will have a project ready for a blog hop I'm in later in the month. I will do an announcement about it in the next day or so. I have some DT things to wrap up, photo and schedule for my blog so I may not have anything new up until Friday for Flaunt It Fridays. DH and I just spent the weekend at our DD/SIL's babysitting their 4 Chicks. We are worn out. We aren't as young as we use to be, but we had the best time with them!!! So my wonderful friends, I will have a little bit posting so please check back and I'll be back full force as soon as possible!! Love you all!!!! :)

Flaunt It Fridays #17

Ahhhhh, we are back to a challenge every week over at Flaunt It Fridays. The blog hop 2 weeks ago was so much fun and thank you to all that visited me and left such wonderful comments!! This week we are 'flaunting' the Disguise Bird on page 36 on the 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge.  My sentiment I cut from letters from the Don Juan cartridge. I designed everything on my Gypsy Girl. The letters for the sentiment I kerned together and after I put them on my card, I did some faux stitching on them. All, including the cardbase, came from my scrap bin. Couldn't believe I had a piece of cardstock this big in there! I also used scallopscallop punch on the top piece under the sentiment. Now it is your turn to 'flaunt' your stuff. And for an even better challenge, try to do a project that is different from the last one you 'flaunted'. But whatever you 'flaunt', we want you to link it up so we can come and admire it!!!
