Jitterbuggin-Get in Shape! and Cricut Cardz #63

Oh I just love it when I can get more than one challenge covered with a creation!!! Sherri over at Jitterbuggin did something different for this challenge. She said to make a shaped card. Any shape, any theme, just not square or rectangle. Oh, and use your Cricut! Then over at Cricut Cardz challenge #63 is to make a card for St. Patrick's Day, using any cartridges and colors. The only catch is that you can't use any Shamrocks on your card!!! How fun!!! So I decided to make the leprechaun from the Simply Charmed
Cartridge into a shaped card. I took the shadow, put 2 of them on my Gypsy Girl's screen, flipping one of them and attaching them at the side. I than cut the layers. I hid the face features so I could use this adorable face from Peachy Keen's Boy Mates Face Assortment stamp set. Now, you have until Tuesday night to enter either or both of these challenges. So create and then hop over and link your creation up! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Paper Playtime Digi Monday!!!

This is just our second Digi Monday at Paper Playtime, but I'm already loving it!!! We have some awesome sponsors and they have given us some of the cutest digi stamps to showcase for ya'll!! I have chosen two to use today. The first one is from Digis With Attitude and the second one if from Prairie Fairy Designs You need to check out their sites and get a load of their creativeness. They both have some awesome digis!!!
This first one is called Mickey Monkey. I colored him with my Copics. I'm still learning how to use these so bear with me please. I just thought he was so cute! Even though he has this 'attitude'! The sentiment is computer generated and then punched with an EK punch. All the bg papers/cardstock are from my scrap stash. The grapes on the inside were cut from Preserves Cartridge.
This next one is called The Urge. I also colored her with my Copics and used scraps from my stash to make this card. The sentiment is computer generated. The inside I just used a stripe of the cream backed paper, so I didn't take a picture of it.

I know these are not my best cards of late. My Mojo has been missing in action the past few days. I vow to try to do better!!!
It is now your turn to create. Since it is Digi Monday, that means anything goes. So create, link and check out the DT's awesome creations!!! Looking forward to seeing what ya'll come up with!! Hope ya'll like my cards!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2

If you are here for the Hello Cupcake Blog Hop just click here
I'm running it right down to the nitty gritty again this week with the Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge. For this one Shelly is the host and she said to use the fishing boy from A Child's Year Cartridge. And if you don't have this cart then use any fish from another cart. Well, I don't have this cart, so I went with others. For the Fishing Pole and Fish I used Simply Charmed, the Pond and Grass are from Create A Critter and the Worm is from Pooh and Friends. I was really not sure where I was going with this card. It's like I decided what I wanted to use and then just got lost. Since I had to get it going and put together and posted, I just threw this card together. To me, that's exactly what it looks like. Thrown together. Now, they will post another challenge tomorrow over at Bitten By The Bug 2 so hop over and check it out in the morning. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Hello, Cupcake Blog Hop

Give-a-way is now closed. Will announce winner Tuesday 3/1.
WootWoot!! It's Saturday and that means our Cupcake Blog Hop has begun!!! Now if you came here from Simply-Pam's then you are in the right spot, but if not go here and start at the beginning with Janis. (Didn't Pam just knock you over with her creations?!!) For this awesome hop we are bring you 'cupcake' themed items. We were told it could be anything. Meaning it didn't even have to be paper based!! Well, all of mine are paper based! LOL What I want to show you first is the little invitations that I made. Had the Grands in mind when I made these. This is what I started with:
These are little wooden rectangles that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I get these ideas in my head when I'm trying to go to sleep and this one hit me one night and thought that these would be cute to use as invitations. I measured and then cut the papers I used with my paper trimmer. The back is covered in cream and the fronts are some cupcake papers I picked up from the open stock at HL. I cut the little cupcakes on the front from ONce Upon A Princess Cartridge. I cut them and the layer at 2 inches. I did not cut the swirl. And since I used my Gypsy Girl, I hid the face features so I could use Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps I cut the icing from core-dinations-Flower Power. It cuts sooooo good on the Cricut!!! I then used some Rock Candy Distress Stickles on the icing to give it a little shine. On the back I used a stamp that is just lines and then wrote the invite on it. I hunted an invitation stamp at HL, but they didn't have one that would fit. :(  But I still think they turned out pretty cute!!

My next project is a gift bag and tag. I bought a package of pastel color gift bags at HL on 1/2 off. I picked the pink on to use. Guess 'cus I always think of cupcakes as being female! I don't know why! (Insert shoulder shrugs here) I just do!! I measured the front of the bag. Mine is 8 by a little over 10. I cut my cupcake paper to fit and glued it down. Took my Once Upon A Princess again and did this cupcake with 'cupcake' on the top!! Sooooo cute!! I designed her on my Gyspy Girl so I could get her the right size. I used George and did a rectangle at 8x10 and then enlarged the cupcake until I liked the fit. On your Cricut you can cut her at 8 inches and she should fit perfectly!! I did all of the layers for her. I just love her smile. I used Diamond Stickles on the icing and the inside of her eyelashes and smile. Then I did some faux stitching. Next, I cut a gift tag from OUAP also. I cut it and it's layer at 2 3/4 inches. I cut 2 of the bigger piece to
to make it more thickness. The little cupcake is cut at 1 1/4 along with it's layers.I used the Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps on this little cupcake. I also stickled the icing.. Then I used some Sorbet twine from The Twinery for the tie. Perfect for a little girl! Well, maybe even a big one!!! LOL

For my last project, I made a card. Now, ya'll must know that I just had to make a card, too!!! The cupcake cut for this one if from Smiley Cards. I know that this is a cart that was a download for just Gypsy owners, cut I just had to use it. I sooooo love the big fluffy icing!! My most favorite part of a cupcake!!! But you could use any cupcake from all the different ones on different carts out there. I cut mine at 3 3/4 inches for this A2 (4 1/4x5 1/2) card. The icing paper is the back side of some Christmas paper I had in my scrap stash. Love the swirl it has in it. I used Peach Keen Stamps Princess Face Assortment for this face. Used Glossy Accents on the icing to give it some shine. I then popped her up on the card. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Simply Sweet Occasions and the inside if is from Family and Friends. The outside sentiment I stamped and then cut with a one inch circle punch. Punched several and stacked them instead of popping it up. The cupcake wrapper is after the fact. The fact that I ate the cupcake!!! HaaaaHaaaa!!!!
Here'sssss my card!!

For some reason, these look a little fuzzy. The original didn't. Don't know why they do here. Sorry!!!
Now it is time to hop along to the next stop. Go visit Corri-Buglvr and check out her awsomeness!!!
If you get lost along the way just come back here and check out the list at the end of this post.
Janis has some great giveaways on her blog that she is asking for you to visit and leave a comment on all the hop stops to qualify for. Also she asks you to have a USA shopping address.
Now, if you have made it this far, I sure want to Thank You!!! And I hope ya'll like all of my creations! :)
Oh yeah.........I've got some blog candy myself. Well, one item. How about this Cartridge?!
I've never given a Cartridge away before. I really like this one. And by the way, it has a cute cupcake cut on it!!! All I ask is that you leave one comment, a way for me to get a hold of you and due to postage cost, a US or Canada address. You don't have to be a follower, but I sure would love it if you decided to!! I'll draw the winner around 10pm CST on Monday Feb. 28th and announce the winner on Tuesday March 1st.

Flaunt It Fridays #13

It's Friday!!! Only one more day of work and then I'm off!! WootWoot!!! Oh yes, and it's another challenge over at Flaunt It Fridays This week we are flaunting Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge. Match 2 on page 124 in my handbook. Now, we have had some 'real' challenges with this cut! We have found that you need to cut the cover on page 123 which is called match 1 and then the insert on page 124!! It should fit together that way!! I cut several of these trying to get the reg. cut and shift to fit from page 124. Thinking that match 2 was a whole box set. Duh!!! You would think as long as I've had this cart that I would know, but I just never cut the boxes!! Anyhooooo, I finally made the box right (I think) and did it in this deep pink. Then I cover the front with this polka dot paper. Then I sit trying to come up with something to put on the top. I thought about these free digis that I got from Stamp Fairy Go check it out. She has some super cute digis!!
I decided to use this little alien. Colored it up, cut it out with a Nestablities Scalloped Oval, inked  it and popped it up on the front. I think one of the Grands would love this with either gum or a special little prize in it. Now it is your turn. If you don't have this cart, there are boxes on others, so use one of those. And if you have a Gypsy, this cart was one of the free downloads! So create away and come over, link up you creation
and check out the awesomeness from the DT!!! Can't wait to see how you 'Flaunt' your stuff!!! Hope ya'll like my box!!! :)

My Sheri Crafts #45

I had so much fun making this card for My Sheri Crafts The challenge this week is 'All About Girls'! So I pulled out the Once Upon A Princess and Twinkle Toes Cartridges and looked over the booklets. When I saw the dancing Poodle on Twinkle Toes, I just had to use her!! And I just had to do her in pink and purple.
The bg paper is some that I found in my stash. I've had it for years and I think it came from Walmart. 'all that Jazz' is also from Twinkle Toes. I added some bling and did some doodling. Now you have plenty of time to enter this challenge. Sheri won't post a new one until Saturday. So get to creating and enter!! Hope ya'll like my 'girly' card!! :)

Cricut Cardz #62

Well Mary posted a great challenge over at Cricut Cardz ...Cup of Cheer. You are to use a cup image on your card from any cartridge and use any colors you'd like. Over at Mary's personal blog Cardz TV she does these awesome videos. One that she does on a regular basis is called 'Coffee and Cardz'. Crafters send Mary cards and she features them on 'Coffee and Cardz', along with your blog if you have one. So, when I saw that she wanted a cup, that is what I thought about. I used Gypsy Wanderings for my cup. Celebrations for the little cards and Designer's Calendar for the watermelon, clover, heart, flower and awareness ribbon. I did the sentiment on the computer and then punched all the way around it with Mary's favorite punch-scallopscallop. Now you have until midnight tonight to enter a card. So get to crafting!! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Crafty Creations #106

Yeah I know I'm pushing it close this week with the challenges. For Crafty Creations challenge #106, the theme is 'thank you'. I decided to make two thank you easel cards. I made one using a 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of cardstock and the other using a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece.  The pattern cardstock that I used is from Basic Gray-Ambrosia-Fresh-squeezed and the more solid isAmbrosia-Citrus. I used Lyrical Letters and Sweethearts Cartridges for the 'Thank You's. I put a piece of ribbon and some buttons on to hold up the back piece. I used twine from Papertrey Ink and The Twinery in the buttons. The bottom sentiments, 'Your Awesome' and 'Very Much' were done on the computer. Now, they post a new challenge on Wednesday so you should have just enough time to enter. Hope ya'll like my cards!!! :)

Hello, Cupcake! Blog Hop Starts HERE

Jitterbuggin-Happy Birthday

This week at Jitterbuggin, Sherri said to make a birthday card. Follow the sketch, and add some rickrack somewhere on it. And don't forget to use your Cricut for something!! Well, it just so happens that I need a birthday card for our oldest Grandson. He plays softball so I thought the ball playing bird from 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge would be perfect!! I think he turned out so cute. I got the rickrack at Hobby Lobby Friday from the left over Valentine section. It was 66% off!! Can't beat that! The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety stack. Now, you have until midnight, February 22nd to enter so you have time to create a birthday card and go enter. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Cardz TV Spring Challenge

Mary with Cardz TV has issued a challenge! It is the 'All About Spring Challenge'!! You can make any kind of project relating to Spring. A card, layout, altered item, etc. I decided to make a Spring layout. The base of my layout is from DCWV-The Green Stack. Spring is cut from Gypsy Wanderings, Flowers are from Country Life cart, the tree and apples is from Stretch You Imagination and the photo spot was cut from Lacy Labels Cartridge. Mary is giving us until February 24th to enter her challenge so you have some time yet to create and link! So........create and link!!! Hope ya'll like my layout!!! :)

Paper Playtime Challenge #39

Well, another weekend is over. Boy they sure fly by when you're having fun!!! I stayed in my craft room almost all day Saturday. Then DD called and invited us over to grill out. Of course we went!!! Then two of the Grands came back home with us. So very little crafting done after church yesterday. Did get back in after they went home. But it was so good to have them here. Will have to get the other two over soon. So it's Monday and we all know what that means. Don't we?! Well I thought you knew!!! It means a new challenge
over at Paper Playtime and Team 1 has some awesome inspiration for ya'll!! The theme this week is Technology. Now I bet you are thinking 'What?!'. Use a Technology Image. Think Comupter, iPod, iPhone, etc. Now I thought and thought what could I make using Technology. And then my Cricut Circle Cartridge-Cricut Everyday came and I knew what I was going to do!! The bg cardstocks are from DCWV The Mango Frost Matstack and Cardstock Matstack. I also used a couple of little flower wood stamps I have and stamped and colored them. Now, take a look at what I made:

The one piece of Technology that I think I have to have to be able to craft with!! I just love it!!
Now ya'll need to create something with paper and hop over and link it up for us to admire. (You have until midnight, Saturday, Feb. 26 to enter.) And while you are there check out what Team 1 has created. Also, you just might be the lucky one to win the $10 gift voucher from Michelle's Scrapbooking and More, the home of Pixie Cottage Stamps . Check out her stamps. They are truly amazing!! Looking forward to seeing your creations soon!! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Bitten by the Bug 2

If you are looking for Sensational Scenes Blog Hop go here

I know I have pushed this right up to the last minute to get my project done for this week's Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge. They post a new one in the morning. This one was to use the heart border and a decorative
heart from the Martha Stewart Seasonal Art Cake Cartridge. And if you don't have this cart, use any other cartridge. Well, I don't have this cart so I used Love Struck 2010. I also used this velumn with the red hearts on it as my bg paper. I think it looks great on the blue card base. I also stamped my sentiment on the velumn. After I did, I took a piece of paper, pressed down on the stamped area and rubbed to lift off as much of the ink that would come off. This lightened it and also kept it from smearing. On the inside I use the one little heart that cut whole from the decorative heart piece and a stripe of the velumn. Guess I won't tell you to hop over and join in on this challenge but you sure can join in on the one that they will post tomorrow!! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

There is also a list of everyone at the bottom of this post if you want to refer to that. We are show casing projects with a scene. You know, like grass and sky scene, water scene, snow scene, etc. I just recently got the Pooh and Friends Cartridge. (All of the cuts on my card are from this cart.) Tiger is my favorite from the Pooh series but I just had to use Rabbit. Rabbit is on pg. 43. I also used the basket of apples from pg. 43, wheelbarrow-pg 34, vegetables-pg. 32, sign-pg. 41, fence (cut twice-one flipped)-pg. 30, grass-pg. 29, tree-pg. 46 and sun-pg. 21. All of the cardstocks and papers that I used except for the light blue piece are from my scrap bin. Even the card base. Now I just love using up scraps!!!  I had so much fun making this card. I did not put any kind of sentiment on it, 'cus I haven't decided how I will use it yet. Sorry, I do not have cut sizes, because I designed it all on my Gypsy Girl.

Now your next hop stop is Lauren
Christina asks that you comment on all blogs post and then end with her blog, leaving a comment there for a chance to win a Scrappy Mom Stamp Set of your choice that has been donated by Tammy and Mel.

We sure have some talented followers!! This week at Flaunt It Fridays Team 2 is 'flaunting' Model 1, Emblem Silhouette Feature, from the Forever Young Cartridge which is on page 24 in the booklet. I used my Gypsy girl to design my card. I used the shift on the emblem feature. I did two of those, flipped one and then welded them together to make my shaped card base. Then I did a smaller cut of the same in the pattern paper which is from s e i-Chick-a-dee paper pad in pink. Then I cut my silhouette. I put some clear bling around the top and did some doodling. On the inside I also cut a smaller white piece to use to write a message on. I haven't put a sentiment on it, 'cus I'm not sure what I will use it for. I used the cutout for the inside. Didn't want to waste it!! Now it's is your turn to 'flaunt' your stuff. Hop on over, check out the creations my Team mates made to inspire you and link up your creation!! You have plenty of time. We won't post a new challenge until next Friday. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Paper Playtime #38

I'm so glad it's Monday!!! I worked all weekend. This was my Sunday to work. Thirteen + hrs. I'm bushed!! And it was so pretty yesterday. High's in low 60's, sun shining and oh such a nice day, and I had to spend it at work!! People were coming in buying stuff to grill out and telling us that they were! :( I'm off today! Wootwoot!!! I'll be doing some crafting for sure! But wait, this is Monday, so that means it's Valentines
Day!! Hope ya'll get what you want the most. I don't get candy. Okay by me. I really don't need it. DH gave me money. Now I really like that!! Bet you can guess what I spent it on. Yeah, crafty stuff!! May not be romantic, but we've been married so long.  Oh, and it also means a new challenge over at Paper Playtime This week Team 2 is up for the challenge. Oh, guess you want to know what the challenge is don't cha?! Make any type of paper project using 'Animal Print' of some kind. It can be paper, Cuttlebug embossed, stamp, anything animal print. And I bet ya'll can guess what I made can't ya?! Yep, a card. When I think of animal print, I always think of cats. So I used the Animal Kingdom Cartridge and cut a tiger. That's all. Just a tiger. The sentiment I did on the computer and cut it out and notched the ends. The animal print bg paper is from Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby brand) Safari Paper Pack. And that's all.. Really simple fast card. Now it is your turn. Hop over and check out the awesome creations by the other Queens and King and then link up your creation! You have until midnight Saturday, February 19th. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Cricut Cardz #61 and Crafty Creations # 105

If you are looking for Flaunt It Fridays blog hop post click here
This week over at Cricut Cardz Mary wants you to make a Valentine's card using any cartridge/'s and the colors blue, green and white only. You have until midngith EST, Tuesday, February 15th to enter. And then over at Crafty Creations Shelly is hosting and she wants you to use 3 words on a card or project. They post a new challenges every Wednesday. Now I knew I could combine these 2 challenges!!! I used the 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge. Those birds on there are just the cutest things!! I decided to use the Mailbird and the phrase that goes with it. Now, I know my bird looks a little purple, but it really really is blue. It's just that when I added all these other shades and the greens, it makes it look purple. When it's by itself, you can see that it is a shade of blue. The bg paper is a really soft shade of green. I didn't cut the eye. I used a clear bling for it. I cut some hearts from George, added a couple to the mail bag and then put some like they are flying out of the bag. Now it's your turn to hop over to these blogs and enter a creation!! It's so much fun!!! Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Friday, February 11, 2011

Photos are now up!!

I really don't know what happened here! I thought I had put the pictures on, buy maybe I didn't!! Sometimes my mind goes on vacation without me and doesn't come back for a little while. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!! LOL The photos are now posted. Sorry !!!! :)

Flaunt It Fridays Blog Hop

I am so excited to present ya'll with my creations for this awesome Blog Hop. If you came from Janis'
blog, then you are in the right spot. If you didn't, start at the beginning here. Weren't Janis' creations just awesome?  We are 'flaunting' Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge this week. We are using either/or/both Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy on pages 36 and 37. This will be your challenge this week also. Then we got to pick another cut from PDDU and make a creation from that cut also. For my Ann and Andy I decided to make a couple of treat bags. I had picked up these white bags on clearance at Hobby Lobby a while back and thought they would work perfectly. All I did was cut a piece of cardstock and used my ATG and put it on the front of my bags. I designed everything on my Gypsy Girl so I would know just the size to cut Ann and Andy. I took a rectangle from George and sized it the size of the front of my bag and then sized Ann and Andy to fit inside. I just love the size of them. Made them so easy to work with. I hid their faces so I could use Peachy Keen Stamps. I used Simple Sallies and Simple Simons Face Assortments. They worked perfectly!!!

Then I decided to make a card for my other project. Yeah, I know. I do make a lot of cards!! I just had to make this little 'bunny girl'. I think she is just so cute!! I used Peachy Keen Princess Face Assortment to stamp her sweet little face. I used some pompoms on her little bunny slippers. The sentiment I did on the computer and then used a circle punch to punch it out. The bg pattern paper is from My Little Shoebox-All a Flutter-Social Butterfly. Makes me long for Spring!!!

Jitterbuggin-Black/White/Red and Hearts

This week at Jitterbuggin Sherri wants a card using black/white/red, with any sketch, use your Cricut and include 3 Hearts. The banner was cut from the Jubilee cartridge, the heart flowers from Give A Hoot and the heart in the right corner is from Cindy Loo cart. The bg paper is from DCWV-La Creme Stack. Banner sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Handwritten Notes stamp set. Heart flowers sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Heartfelt Basics set. Heart sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Family and Friends stamp set. I popped everything up with foam tape. The heart in the top right corner on the inside is what cut out of the center of the heart flowers. I stacked them to get the dimension. You have until midnight on February 16th to enter. So hop on over and join in on the fun! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Bitten by the Bug 2-Fence

What a fun challenge Bitten by the Bug 2 is having this week! The challenge is to use the Fence/Gate on the Bloom cartridge. Welllllll I don't have this cartridge! So since you can use another cart if you don't, I went with the Heritage cartridge. I cut the fence/gate and then cut one side of the gate so it would open. I cut the tulips from Walk in My Garden cart and the sun is from Hello Kitty Greetings. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Handwritten Notes stamp set. The bg papers are from my scrap bin. In fact, all the papers/cardstock except for the card itself are from my scrap bin. Hop over and make a project using a fence/gate! They won't issue a new challenge until next Monday, so you have oodles of time! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)
