I just wanted to let all of my awesome bloggy friends know that we are okay. God blessed us and kept us and our home safe. We seem to set in a V. They come out of the next county over and either go south or north of us. The first went south before daybreak Wednesday morning. It hit a hop, skip and a jump from us in a little community and then went on to do more damage further down. We lost power then. When it came back on, we didn't have cable, phone or internet service. We were depending on others to give us updates. The next round came a bit later. I had sent hubby into town to run a couple of errands. On the way back when he crossed the interstate bridge, he saw it crossing to the north. This is the same one that our daughter had seen north of her home before it had gotten to the interstate. The same one that did so much damage to our wonderful town. No power after that at all. So so much damage. And the weather sirens kept going off. Over and over and over. Way into the night Wednesday night. I can't help but cry as I type this. I hadn't been anywhere until today. Only saw pictures from the paper we get from Birmingham. Those tore my heart out, but seeing some of it today was worse. And I didn't even see the worse of the damage. Don't know if I want to. I just thank God that we are all safe. I'm thinking only one was killed here in our county. Thankful for that. Our power came on about mid morning today and got the cable, phone and internet back about mid afternoon. I know there are those that were praying for us. Thank you so very very much. I love ya'll so much. I have the best bloggy friends in the world!! I'll be back to posting in a day or two. Love ya'll!!! :)
Oh, and I want to tell ya, cold showers are awful!!! Takes your breath away. But I don't like to stink. That hot water felt so good a little while ago. And I don't know if I want chicken in a while. We were grilling stuff that was still icy. Why did I have so much chicken?! No more. Just a little from now on!! LOL

Sharon - happy to hear that everything is okay for you and your family. I can't imagine what everyone is going through where these awful storms hit. It sure makes the petty stuff we go through in everyday life seem so trival.
Take care of yourself.

So happy to hear you and your family are safe and sound. This one was really bad...so many people suffered so many losses. We are far enough south that we had no issues from this one, but my heart hurts for the many who lost everything. Happy to see you back up and running!

Praise the Lord !!!! Girl I have been checking your blog 3 or 4 times a day! I even pulled up the Cullman Newspaper and checked the Obits!!When I saw you sweet lil smiling face on my blog this morning all I could do was thank the Lord and wipe away tears ! Wheeeh.I went to FB, they have a place where you can inquire about missing people from the storms, but I dont know your last name and I am not sure if you live in Cullman our in a small town around there. I have been frantic ! I knew the damage we had was bad at the lake and before we lost power I knew your area had been hammered.I am SOO thankful that y'all are OK! I'm glad you don't stink too! lol
Love ya, Joy
