I sure waited to almost the last minute to make my Mom's Mother's Day card. But hey, I got it done!! I used Kate's ABC's Cartridge for the vase and flowers. I some what followed the colors in the handbook for the flowers. I dug around in my scraps and came up with the pattern paper I used for the vase. Then pulled the pattern paper out of my stash for the bg. I didn't want to just use plain. I've just started using tulle and I have to say that I really like it. I only bought white to try it out. When Hobby Lobby has it half off again, I'm getting other colors!!! The sentiment was a stamp I picked up when our LSS was open. I punched it out and then went digging through my little containers for something to attach it with. I knew I had something about Mom but couldn't remember what or where. Finally I found the right container. Little brads that say 'Mom'. I punched a hole in the tag and attached it with the brad to the bow. I put a small glue dot on the back of the bow to hold it down to the front of the card. I took a pink Copic and colored the half pearls to use in the center of some of the flowers. I didn't add anything to the inside. I know, I'm shocked at myself!! LOL But I will write my Mom something really sweet in there. I have been blessed with the best Mom in the whole world.
I'm entering my card in the Paper Cutz Challenge #90. The challenge is to make a card, LO or craft project for Mother's Day using any colors. You have until midnight EST on Thursday 5/12 to enter. Sure hope ya'll like my card and Happy Mother's Day to all you great Mom's!!! :)
