Bitten By The Bug 2-Couples Heart

What a fun challenge they are having over at Bitten By The Bug 2. And boy am I ever on top of it or what?!! I've gotten it done this week instead on next!! Haha They are celebrating St. Valentine's Day by using the Couple Heart from the Love Stuck 2010 cartridge. And of course if you don't have this cart, use a couple from another one. I just happen to have this cartridge. I didn't want to cut it in black. That's what I thought at first. But I wanted something totally off the wall. I decided to go with a pink, blue and white card. Okay, and a smidge of black for the stamped sentiment. I decided to cut the full heart out of pink. I misted it with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle. The top layer just had to be blue. The bg paper is from K and Company-Smitten stack. I've had this stack a year or two or maybe even three. Not really sure. I love the doily look on this piece. The sentiment is from one of Scrappy Mom's newest stamp sets called Mini Messages. Then I just had to use some Prima-Say it in Pearls on my card. These are pink. Real simple and quick to put together. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes

The challenge this week over at Birthday Sundaes is using a picture as inspiration. And it must include a heart. Here is the picture:

Yummy looking!! I made a shaped card using my Gypsy Girl and the Elegant Edges cartridge. I also cut the same shape for my layers. The yellow layer I used the Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) Hearts embossing folder on. Then I cut the cupcake from the Once Upon A Princess cartridge. I cut an extra of the frosting and the cupcake top layer so I could pop them up. I used the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls embossing folder on the frosting. I also used Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz on the top layer of the frosting. I used Glossy Accents on the top popped layer of the wrapper. The hearts I cut from the Create-A-Critter cartridge. I cut extras so I could pop up the top on the two on the sides and just double layer the one on top of the cupcake. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder on them. The sentiment is from one of the newest stamp sets from Scrappy Mom's called Mini Messages. All of the papers I used I pulled out of my scrapbin. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Challenge

The past two weeks have flown by and it is now time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. The theme for this challenge is 'It's So Sweet!' We would love for you to make a project using candies, sweet, love hearts, etc and not limited to Valentine's. I made a 6x6 card and used the Sweethearts cartridge. I cut the heart on page 72. I cut it at 5 inches using K and Company Life's Little Occasions-Primary stack. I cut the heart, X and O from page 36. I cut them at 1 1/2 inches twice so I could pop up one layer. I used the solid side of the pattern paper that I used for the background of my card. It is from K and Company Life's Little Occasions-Brights stack. The pearls and pearl swirls are Prima Say it in Pearls. The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps. I used the Hugs and Kisses set. Hop over and check out the awesomeness that my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Then get to creating!! So looking forward to looking at your projects. For my card I used the heart on the Smiley Cards cartridge. This is one of those freebies that they gave us for our Gypsy. I don't use it near enough. It has some really cute cuts on it. With the open mouth, it looks just like the heart is singing. So I added music notes that I cut from the Chore Chart cartridge. I did a little bit of doodling to finish up my card. The bg music paper is from Tim Holtz idea-ology-Vintage Shabby paper stack. And the awesome sentiment is from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set. It is one of Mary's-Cardz TV Stamps newest sets. Birthday Sundaes Challenge #42

The current challenge at Birthday Sundaes is to make a Birthday Card with sentiment. I decided to use the whale and starfish on the Create-A-Critter cartridge. The pattern paper I used for the whale is from K and Company and the bg pattern paper is from American Crafts. The sentiment is computer generated. I did just a tiny bit of doodling. That's it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Sweethearts Tag

The challenge that started this past Monday at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to make any of the tags from the Sweetheart cartridge. And if you don't have this cart, use a tag from another one. I have this one!!! I cut the tag base 5 times so I could stack them to have a thicker tag. I used my Gypsy Girl so I could get all of the pieces cut seperately. I used the hide contour feature for this. I cut two of the flowers so I could pop up the top one and several of the hearts so I could layer them. I used Glossy Accents on the flower, swirl and hearts after I did a little bit of doodling. The bling is from Prima-Say It With Crystals. The sentiment is from the stamp set Sweet Talk from Cardz TV Stamps. This set can be used for so many other things. Not just Valentines!! I punched a hole in the top and added a grommet. Then I tied some white tulle through it. Hope ya'll like my tag!!!! :)

A touch of Spring

It doesn't feel like Spring this morning as I get ready to head out the door for work. But it looks like it when we go out the front of our home. Aren't these beautiful. The buttercups in the bottom photo runs across the front of our yard. Just wanted to give ya'll a taste of Spring. Just wish the weather would stay Spring like!! Have an awesomely wonderful day!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Baby Carriage

This card is for the challenge that started last Monday-January 30th over at Bitten By The Bug 2. It is to use the baby carriage from the New Arrival cartridge. Good thing they let you use one from another cart!! I don't have New Arrival. I used the one on the Wrap It Up cartridge. The printed paper I cut it from and the bg paper is from Heidi Grace. I used Elegant Edges to create my shaped card. I welded it on my Gypsy Girl. The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps. I used the Oh Baby set. Such a super cute set. I didn't add anything on the inside other than a piece of the same pattern paper. I will use the white space at the top to jot a note on. I just love it when I can use pattern paper to help me decorate a card!! Hope ya'll like it!!!!! :)

Paper Playtime Cricut Creations Challenge #67

Here it is, the first Monday of Feb. Know what that means? Yep, a new Cricut Creations challenge at Paper Playtime. We were asked to use hearts or love on our creation. I went with both. I used the Cricut Essentials cartridge for my hearts. I used Heart 1 on page 32 and Heart 2 on page 34. The 'love' was cut from the Winter Woodland cartridge. I cut it's shadow also. I did some doodling and then used Glossy Accents ont he hearts and the top layer of 'love'. The added some white half faux pearls. The bg papers are from K and Company. On the inside I used the heart that cut from the outline one on the front. I stamped love all over it. That stamp is from Papertrey Ink Heartfelt Basics stamp set. It is now your turn to create!! Make sure you use a Cricut cut on your card, layout or other project. And make sure you use hearts or love on there, too. I'm so looking forward to seeing what you create. Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Happy Saturday morning!!! Hope everyone had a great week and are looking forward to a fantastic weekend. Today is my turn to share the daily project at Exploring Cricut. Hope you have been enjoying all the awesome creations my DT Sisters have been displaying this week for the daily projects. WOW the talent is just fantabulous!!! Today I have made a 6x6 card. I just recently got the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge and I just had to try it out. I cut 4 of the rosette on age 66 at 1 3/4 inches. I accordion folded the pieces and then glued them together. There is a little tab on one end of each of the pieces to use for gluing together. I then inked the edges. The center piece I cut one of the shift on page 66 and one of it's shadow. I decided to use the letter 'j' on my rosette center. I did not want the little circles to cut out so I used my Gypsy Girl and the hide contour so it would cut solid. Then I added the bling to it. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the green striped piece and some lace that I picked up at Walmart. The sentiment is a wooden stamp and I finished off with some Prima-Say it in Crystals. All of the cardstocks I pulled out of my scrapbin. Don't forget that our current challenge ends tonight at 9pm EST. I'm so enjoying seeing your creations, so please come join us!!! Cardz TV Stamps-Challenge #5

Welcome back to our new challenge at Cardz TV. I am so loving Mary's stamps. Go check them out here. Mary just released some new sets and they are just as awesome as the others!!!! The theme of our 5th challenge is 'Tickled Pink'. We would love for ya'll to create a card or craft project using pink as your primary color. This challenge ends at midnight EST on Sunday Feb. 5th. Mary will announce a challenge winner on Monday Feb. 6th. And that winner gets to choose one of Mary's stamp sets to be her's/his very own!! Today I made an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 size card. I went with that size so my tulips wouldn't be small. I used the Freshly Picked cartridge for my tulips. The sun was cut from Gypsy Wanderings. I used the hide contour and hid the swirl that would have cut out of the center of the sun. I also used my Gypsy Girl and flipped some of the tulips to face the other direction. The grass was punched from a Fiskars Grass Punch. I'm just loving this punch!! The bg paper I picked up at Hobby Lobby. It is part of their open stock. The sentiment is from Mary's new stamp set called Think Spring. Such a wonderful set!!!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #41

What a fun challenge they are having over at Birthday Sundaes this week. It is to make an easel birthday card. I haven't made an easel card in a while. I decided to go with the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge for this card. I just love this cut with the balloons. I used my Gypsy Girl so I could use the hide contour on the balloons. I wanted each of them a different color. I used some Glossy Accent on them so they would be a little shiny. The bg designer paper that I used is from DCWV-the Celebration Stack. I cut a small piece of red paper to stamp my sentiment on. It used a wooden stamp. I put some small blue bling on each side of the red paper. My stop for the easel part of my card is a Prima Pebbles that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. That's it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Flower

The challenge that started Jan. 23rd over at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to use the Bloom cartridge and make the six petal flower which is posititoned in row 4, key 10 on the overlay. And if you don't have this cart, use a six petal flower from another one. Well, I don't have this cart! Gasp!!! I know, what is wrong with me?! I'm not really great at making the flowers from the cartridges so I never bought it. But now, when they came out with the Flower Shoppe cartridge, I just had to have it. And I'm still not great at making the flowers!!! I can't seem to get the pieces that you twist done right. I did use Flower Shoppe to make these flowers. I used the flowers that are #'s 13 and 20 on the overlay. I also cut the leaves that are #'s 43 and 50. I cut two different sizes of the flowers so I could stack them. I glued one each of the two different flowers together and then popped the smaller size on top to give it the dimension. I used a big faux white half pearl for the center of my flowers. The bg designer paper is from DCWV-The Garden Party Stack. The flowers were cut from paper I dug out of my scrap bin. The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps set Think Spring. This is one of Mary's newest stamp sets. I love it!! Well, I love all of Mary's stamps!!! Hop over and check them out. I used some smaller faux white half pearls in the corner to finish my card. Paper Playtime-Challenge #66-It's a Blog Hop!!!!

It's the fifth Monday of the month, so we are having a blog hop over at Paper Playtime. Now if you came here from Mary's than you are on the right path. Her project was awesome, wasn't it?! Any type of project, be it a card, layout, altered item, etc. Couldn't be any easier than that!!! I made a-yeah you guessed it-card!!! I needed a thank you card so that is what I made. I decided to make a shaped card. I used Elegant Edges and my Gypsy Girl. I welded my shapes together and them resized the top piece. The sentiment piece is this same cut, just cut even smaller! The sentiment is a wooded stamp. The papers I used are all from my scrap bin. One of these days I'll have that thing almost empty. Well, maybe not! Hahaha. We have a sponsor for this hop. Exploring Cricut Challenge #9

It is time for the new challenge at Exploring Cricut. Our theme this go around is to make a card, layout or papercraft using: 1-ribbon, 2-cricut cuts and 3-jewels, buttons or brads. Of course you can use more of each if you like. Also, use any colors or theme that you want. I put some thought into this card. I dug through my stash. Looking at lot of my papers and cardstocks. I had picked up this paper pad a while back at Tuesday Mornings. It is from Making Memories. All of the papers are black and white. I decided that was the route I would go. I knew I wanted to make a butterfly because I just had to use this sentiment from my new stamp set Think Spring from Cardz TV Stamps. Mary's stamp sets are just awesome!!! I cut the butterfly and it's layers from the Once Upon A Princess cartridge at 3 inches. It can be found on page 59. The solid black pieces and the white body piece aren't from the paper pad. They are cardstock. I used Black Diamond and Clear Rock Candy Stickles on the black and white pieces of the butterfly and two tiny black faux half pearls for eyes. The shape that I used as my sentiment piece was cut from the Sophie cartridge. It can be found on page 54. It is called Accent 3 and I cut it at 2 inches. Now I did design my card on my Gypsy Girl and when I did this piece, I used the hide contour and hid some of the cuts on it. I wanted the outer piece and then the inside piece seperate. The white piece isn't from the paper pad. It is just a white piece of cardstock. The circle behind the butterfly was cut from the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. I cut it at 4.06 height. The faux white pearls are from Prima-Say it in Pearls. The red ribbon is from my stash. I wrapped it around my bg piece 3 times. I popped up the butterfly and the sentiment piece. The Scrapbooking Queen Royal Digi Challenge #4

Here it is, the last Monday of January. Wow, the year just started and the first month is at an end. Time sure is flying by! It being the last Monday of the month can only mean one thing-a new challenge at The Scrapbooking Queen Royal Digi Challenge!! This month's theme is 'Love'. I made 2 cards.
The first one I used a digi from Pink Cat Studio. It is called Monkey Valentine. I think it is so cute. I colored him with my Copics. Rounded the corners and popped it up. The bg designer paper is from Recollections (Michaels) called Monkeying Around Sock Stripe. The polka dot buttons are some I had in my stash. I think they came from Hobby Lobby. I tied some Maraschino Twine from The Twinery in my buttons. The sentiment is a wooden stamp.
For my second card I used a digi from Meljens called Puppy Love Frame. So adorable!! I again colored my digi with my Copics and rounded the corners. I didn't pop this one up. I used a Martha Stewart punch and punched out the hearts. I did some doodling and popped them up. The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps. I used the Barks and Bones set. I trimmed it down and popped it up also. The bg designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket-Togetherness/Reunion.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #100

The current challenge theme over at Cricut Cardz Challenge is 'It's June in January!'. Make a card for any occasion, using any cart(s) and any colors with summer as the theme. I made this card and didn't really like it. So I made another one. I liked it even less. Decided this one wasn't so bad after all. Guess you gotta make a really bad bad one to see one that isn't! When I thought of summer, I thought sunny. And who better than to welcome the sun than a rooster. I cut him from the Just Because Cards cartridge. The sun is from Create A Critter cart. The cute little face is from Snow Cutie Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Handwritten Notes stamp set. The papers I used are from my scrap bin. Really trying to use them up but I think the multiply when I'm not looking!! I used a little jiggle eye on the rooster. Did a little bit of doodling to finish up. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #40

I've had my card made for the Birthday Sundaes challenge but ran out of time to get it posted. With other things I had to get done and work and just everyday life. Some days are just more full than others. This week, they've been pretty full. The challenge is to simply make a birthday card and have your birthday wording/sentiment of the front. I don't think this is one of my better cards that I've made, but I think one of the Grands will really like it. I used Smiley Cards for my fish. The more that I look at her lips, the less I like them. I do like the polka dot paper, though. It is from my scrap bin. The bg papers are from American Crafts-Heat Wave pack. The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps, stamp set, It's a Guy Thing. Perfect to use for those hard to make guy cards, although this sentiment is perfect for either male or female. Well that's it. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)
I really don't understand why one picture looks pretty good and the very next one you take doesn't. Sorry the second one looks so bad!!!

Cardz TV Challenge #4

It's time for a new challenge at Cardz TV!! This challenge we are featuring the stamp set It's A Guy Thing.
That's also the theme of our challenge. We want you to make a 'guy' card. I'm usually challenged badly when I have to make a masculine card, but with this stamp set, the DCWV-The Guy Stack and the Handy Man Lite Cartridge, I had a lot easier time!!! I think this will be the perfect card for Hubby this summer when he starts redoing our livingroom floor!! I cut the wheelbarrow, the saw, hammer and nails. Did some doodling on them. Popped up the wheelbarrow and finished it up. Now it is your turn to create a card and link it up. This challenge will run for 3 days. January 27th, 28th and 29th. Bitten By The Bug 2-Numbers

Here's my card for this past Monday's challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2. The challenge is to use any numbers from any carts on your project. Easy Peasy-yeah right!! I had to put some thought into this one. What number or numbers to use. What occasion. How to lay it all out. Wasn't as easy as I thought it would be when I saw what the challenge was!! But then it hit me exactly what I wanted to do. I used my Gypsy Girl to weld my shape from the Elegant Edges cartridge together to get my shaped card. I used the shadow layer. It is #26 on the overlay. I cut the regular layer and it's shift for the front and inside of my card. 'True Love' is from the Tie The Knot cartridge. Bitten By The Bug 2-Caterpillar

I was beginning to think I wasn't gonna get a card made for this challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2! I had cut the card base a week and 1/2 ago and even designed my card on my Gyspy Girl, but then didn't get the chance until today to get it cut and put together. The card base is new to me. It is called a Double Dutch Fold Card. My wonderful friend and fellow DT Sister Deanna showed this fold card on her blog and I just had to give it a try.
The challenge is to use the caterpillar from the Walk In My Garden cartridge. And if you don't have this cart, use one from another cart. I also cut the flower from WIMG. The grass is from a Fiskers punch. I used little black faux half pearls for the eyes. All of the papers are from my scrap bin. I used some sky blue colorbox ink and rubbed and dabbed it on the white card base. The sentiment is from a Stampendous clear stamp set. Come back by tomorrow afternoon and I'll have the card up that I made for the challenge that started this past Monday. Hope ya'll like my caterpillar card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

It's my turn to do the daily project at Exploring Cricut. I decided not to make a card this time. Yeah, I know ya'll are in shock! I bought the Sweet Treat Boxes cartridge the first of the month and I just had to make a box.I cut #4, 14, 24, 34 and 44 on the layout. In the booklet it shows that it should be 3, 13, etc., but it is wrong. I used my Gyspy Girl, but you can also use your Expression easy enough. My box and it's layers were cut at 11.35 height. All you have to do on the Expression is to use fit to page. Make sure you take note of the size of the box and set your Expression to that setting for the layers. Take note that you will need to cut 2 of the box, because it only cuts half of it. I also used the hide contour so I could cut extra grass, flower and flower pot. I wanted an extra layer so I could pop them up. I used some Stardust Stickles on the 'sweets' on the sign and on the inside of the round window. I cut down part of a cartridge clear cover to put on the inside of the side windows. I also did some doodling with a white gelly roll pen. Remember to join our challenge. Birthday Sundaes Challenge # 39

Birthday Sundaes is having a fun challenge this week. It is to create a birthday card using a picture (see it posted on their blog) as inspiration. And they added a new twist. It is a requirement to use one visible element from the picture. For this one, it is a snowman. Also make sure you have birthday wording/etc. on the front of your card. I made a 6x6 card. I cut the circle and triangle from the George cartridge and the snowman is from the Paper Trimmings cartridge. I cut extra of the hat, scarf, mittens, boots and hearts so I could pop them up. All of the papers I used I dug out of my scrap bin. I hid the face features on the snowman (using hide contour on my Gypsy Girl) so I could stamp this cute face from Peachy Keen Stamps Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Handwritten Notes set. I did a little bit of doodling and finished my card with these little Crystal Stickers (that's what they are called on the package) that I thought looked a little like snowflakes. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Paper Playtime-Say It With Sentiments-Challenge #65

I haven't joined in on the Say It With Sentiments challenges at Paper Playtime since I'm part of the Cricut Creations team. But we can join in on either if we want. I decided to join in this week. The theme is 'TAGS'. Make a tag or use a tag on your project. I made a tag from the Tie The Knot cartridge. I cut one from black and two from the designer paper. I flipped one of the tags so I could have a match on the back. I did hide the cutout on the one for the back using my Gypsy Girl. The dp is Paper Studio-Antiquity Premium Cardstock from Hobby Lobby. I finished it off with some Prima Say it in Crystals and Iridescent Tulle. Hop over to Paper Playtime and check out what my DT Sisters have created! Awesomeness for sure!!!! Exploring Cricut Challenge #8

It's the third Monday of the month. Know what that means? Yeah, time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. For this challenge our theme is Happy Birthday. We would love for you to make a birthday project using the colors red, blue, yellow, green and white only. I had to put some thought into this one. I need a card for one of our granddaughters later this month so I thought in that direction. I decided to go with the Live Simply cartridge. I cut Butterfly 1 (which is the 1st cut on the overlay), at 2 1/2 inches and all of it's layers. The sentiment piece was cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge. It can be found on page 56. I cut the white piece at 1 3/4 inches and the red piece at 2 inches. All of my cuts were cut from scraps from my scrap bin. The bg designer paper is from October Afternoon-5 and Dime-8x8 pad. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Handwritten Notes stamp set. I masked Birthday so I could stamp Happy at the top and then Happy so I could then stamp Birthday. I used Lady Bug Momento Ink to stay within the color scheme. I used some faux half pearls and did some doodling to finish up my card. Cardz TV Challenge #3-'The 3 R's'

Welcome to our 3rd challenge for Cardz TV. Our challenge theme this time is "The 3 R's"-Ribbon, Rhinestones or Rick Rack. Use one, two or all three on a card. I went with Rhinestones and Rick Rack. We also had to use a Cardz TV Stamp on our card. I used Barks and Bones. My sweet little dog is from the Four Legged Friends cartridge. He is Dog 10. The heart with the cut out paw is also from this cartridge. I did some doodling around the heart and tiny little bit on the dog. I used faux half black pearls for the eyes and the Rhinestones in the top two corners. The bg paper is from my stash. The rick rack came from Hobby Lobby and the Rhinestones are from Studio g that I got from Walmart. This challenge is for three days. January 13th, 14th and 15th. Birthday Sundaes Challenge #38

Birthday Sundaes DT Members are back from their Holiday break and have offered up a great challenge for this week. They are offering the most popular of their challenges. Just create a new birthday card. Just make sure you add a birthday sentiment/wording on the front. They also said that you have the option of adding something 'new' on you card. I didn't do the 'new' part since I used all papers from my scrap bin and the flowers I've had in my stash for a while. The owl I cut from the Happily Ever After cartridge. I used some faux black half pearls on the eyes. The flowers are really brads from Paper Studio-Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby. I attached them with pop dots. The sentiment piece is from a punch and the sentiment itself is from two different stamp sets by My Pink Stamper. The 'Hoo-ray for you!' and 'It's your' are from Tweetie Hoo Puns and 'Birthday' is from Buggy Punnies. I masked parts to get the words I wanted. I added faux white half pearls to the sentiment piece. Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Happy Saturday!!! It's my turn to present the daily project at Exploring Cricut. I needed a birthday card for a friend so that is what I made. I used both my Expression and my Imagine. I used the Imagine cartridge Yummy to cut the cake. It can be found on pg. 6 of the booklet. I cut it and it's layers at 3 inches. I also did some color changes all of the pieces except the candles. Then I used the Create A Critter cartridge for the sentiment. It can be found on pg. 27. I cut it at 1 3/4 inches. The bg paper is from K and Company-Confetti. I used a Gelly Roll Clear Star Pen to do doodling on the letters and the Balloon Bling is from Paper Studio(Hobby Lobby). That's it. Don't forget to check out all of the daily projects. It's time for our first challenge of 2012 at Paper Cutz Challenge. Our theme is: 'It's a Brand New Year!' We would love for you to make a card, layout or craft project for the new year using any colors you would like. I made a layout for this challenge instead of a card!!! Surprised ya, didn't I?! I used Elegant Edges for the photo frames and Simple Charmed for the party horns. The Happy New Year I did on my Imagine using the Blast Off cartridge. I cut the frames from Core'dinations-Flower Power. The bg designer paper is from DCWV-the Celebration stack. 'celebrate' is from Paper Studio-Hobby Lobby, from a birthday set of bling. Bitten By The Bug 2-Ice Skate

Bitten By The Bug 2 has a new challenge. It is to use the skate/skates on the Winter Woodland cartridge. And if you don't have this cart, use a skate/skates from another cartridge. I cut two of the skate and ran the top layer through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dot Embossing Folder. Then I lightly inked the raised dots in blue. I cut off the bow that would have been on the skate so I could use some Caribbean Twine from The Twinery for my bow. I also used some to connect my two skates together. I cut the chair from the
French Manor cartridge. I also cut an extra so I could have the seat cushion a different color. I popped up the chair and drapped the skates over the top. The bg paper is from an 8x8 DCWV-the Doodlin' Around Stack. That design is on the paper. I think it looks like wall art. I did a little bit of doodling to finish it. I didn't put a sentiment on it as I'm not sure what I will use it for yet. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Paper Playtime-Cricut Creations-Challenge #67-Recycle

The first Monday of the month means we are having a new Cricut Creations challenge over at Paper Playtime!! And the theme is Recycle. We challenge you to use something recycled on your project or to recycle an item into something new. I really wasn't sure what I was going to do for this challenge. With that on my mind, I was puttering around in the kitchen and grabbed a Hershey Kiss w/Almonds. I thought, hummmm........ I could use the little paper tab as my recycled item. Now, I just had to eat enough to get the right tab for my project. Such a hard job, but hey, someone had to do it!!! Only took eating about 6 to get the right one. The 'kiss' is from the Doodlecharms cartridge. It is the candy corn cut. I used my Gypsy Girl and hid the lines that would have cut. I cut it from some silver cardstock I had in my stash. I think I had gotten it at Hobby Lobby a year or two ago. I cut two so i could pop up the top layer and put the tab between the layers. I used a stamp from Home for Christmas stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Mary's stamps are awesome and this shows that they can be used for other things. Not just seasonal. I computer generated 'Candy' using Curlz MT font at 48 pts. I then punched it out. I used foam tape to pop it up. The bg patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie 8x8 Paper Pad. That's it. Exploring Cricut #7-Winter Wonderland

AIt's the first Monday of the New Year!! It is also challenge Monday at Exploring Cricut. And we have an exciting announcement. We have two new Design Team Members!!! Head over and meet them and while you are there check out all of the awesomeness that my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Our theme this time is Winter Wonderland. Make a card, layout or papercraft project with a winter scene or activity. And as always, there is a wonderful prize to be had. But, you have to enter the challenge to be in the running for the prize!! For my card I decided to use my Imagine. I used the Enjoy the Seaons Cartridge. The Tree and layers I cut at 4 inches. The snowman and layers were cut at 2 1/2 inches. The circle with the snowflake was part of a border. I cut it out at 1 inch and cut it apart and only used the circle pieces. The other pieces were snowflakes and they did not cut really well for me. I think they will need to be cut bigger to come out perfectly. I did some popping and added a sentiment from the Home for Christmas stamp set put out by Cardz TV Stamps. Check out Mary's stamp sets. They are wonderful and not just seasonal!!! The bg designer paper is from Basic Grey-Eskimo Kisses-Powdered Sugar.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!! It's hard to believe that 2011 is over. This year went by way to fast. I'm looking forward to an awesome 2012. I made a card for a challenge that Jovan of Cards by Jovan is having. The post says you have until tonight, Sat. 12/31, but Jovan has extended it until Monday, 1/2. She is giving away an awesome prize. The challenge is to make a New Years project. It has to be a new project, not a back linked one. I used the Designer's Calendar cartridge. My designer papers are from my scrapbin. I used a doily on my card. I've seen them used by others and just had to get some. This is my first time using one. I sprayed some Frost Shimmer Spritz on the doily. You can't tell it in the photo, but it really gave it a nice sparkle. I used some Memory Thread in the button. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's A Holiday to Remember stamp set. I did some popping and a little bit of doodling. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Candle

The current challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to use the candle on the Wrap It Up cartridge. And if you don't have this cart, use a candle from another. I happen to have this one. The cake I cut from the Just Because Cards cartridge. I decided to let my bg paper do most of the work on this card. It is from DCWV-the Celebration stack. I did some popping and some doodling and finished up. Go over and join in on the fun!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge #4

It's the last Monday of the month. It snuck up on me big time. I totally forgot to get my stuff ready for The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge. This is our 4th challenge and it is 'Anything Goes' as long as you make a card using a digi image and make sure its all about Christmas and snow. All of the digis that I used are from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps. I used Copics to color them all.
This first one is called 'Cookies and Milk Cat'. The bg paper is American Crafts-Merrymint-Sugar Cookie. The sentiment, that I stamped all over the card, is a stamp from Cardz TV Stamps Home for Christmas set.

This next digi is called Girly Holiday Tree. Isn't she so cute? The bg paper is from my scrapbin. I added some polka dotted buttons with Maraschino Twine from The Twinery. The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps Holly Jolly set.

This next digi is called Holiday Tree. I just love it. So so cute. The bg paper is from Bo Bunny-Holiday Cheer. And the stamp is from Cardz TV Stamps Holiday Cheer set.

This last digi is also called Girly Holiday Tree. It and the above Girly one come as a pair. Look at those cute eyes! The bg paper on this one is from Canvas Home Basic-Christmas Brights. And the sentiment came from-you guessed it-Cardz TV Stamps Holly Jolly set.

Exploring Cricut-Daily Project

Ohhhhhhh it's Christmas Eve!! You know what that means!! Short sleep night!!! Those kiddies will be up if not before, at least by the crack of dawn in the morning!!! I get to sleep late. We have no kiddies at home any more!!! Although I will get up and go to church. :)
It is also my turn for the daily project over at Exploring Cricut. With my project I wanted to express my feelings for Christmas. We have one true 'reason for the season'. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. By God's grace, He sent us His Son to be born so that we can all be saved. What love could surpass that?!
I used the Inspired Heart Cartridge and cut the Nativity Scene in black. The backing I cut in gray. I popped it up. The cardstock I used for the background on my card is from me and my big ideas-Christmas Carol. I picked it up after Christmas last year. I stamped the sentiment on the inside. It is a wooden stamp.
All of us from Exploring Cricut want to wish each of you a most joyous and blessed Christmas. Just remember 'the reason for the season'!!!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #98

The current challenge over at Cricut Cardz Challenge is "Christmas~Tag You're It!" Make two Christmas gift tags using any cartridges and colors. I decided to go the real easy route and used the Very Merry Tags Cartridge. I cut the tag that is #21 on the overlay and #'s 11 and 38 to go on the tops of my tags. All of the papers I used are from my scrapbin. I used some white tulle for my tie at the top. Super simple and quick tags. Hope ya'll like them!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Winter Frolic Tag

The challenge that started last week at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to use the Winter Frolic Cartridge and use one of the tag features. And if you don't have this cartridge, use a tag from another one. I used the tag that is #44 on the overlay. Using my Gypsy Girl, I cut the tag at 5.50x4.46 each. I cut 2 in white and 2 in the blue. One of the blue I flipped so I could put it on the back and match up. I also cut Baby Jesus in the manager and the smaller star. I used the hide contour and hid different parts to get the colors that I wanted. I also hid the face features on Jesus' face so I could use a Peachy Keen. Each of these pieces were cut at 3.50x2.62. I used some Diamond Stickles on the star and did some faux stitching on the manager and around the tag. The sentiment is from the Classic Christmas Stamp Set from Cardz TV Stamps. Mary has some awesome stamps. Go check them out!! I masked most of the stamp so I could stamp just the word 'Holy'. I tied some light blue tulle at the top. That's it. Hope ya'll like my tag!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Challenge #6

It's Monday! Whoo Hoo!!! That means that this Monday is the start of a new challenge at Exploring Cricut!!
This will be our last challenge for 2011, but we will be back in January with some exciting challenges that you will not want to miss. We will also have some fantastic Guest Designers, too!!! Our challenge this week is to use a pine, fir, evergreen or Christmas tree in anyway you want, be it a card, a layout or some other project. It does not have to be Christmas related. Make sure you use a Cricut cut and a new project. I made a card. I used the double trees on the Winter Frolic Cartridge. I'm sorry, but I can't remember the page in the booklet you will find them. I used my Gypsy Girl. The trees were cut at 4.18x3.27. I ran a set of the trees off the top of my Gypsy Girl so I could cut the trucks in brown. The snowdrifts and snowflakes are from the Jolly Holidays Cartridge. They are #47 on the overlay. The snowdrifts are the layer and I cut them at 5.28x4.11. The snowflakes are the layer/shift. I used the hide contour and hid the snowdrift on that layer so I could cut only the snowflakes. I cut them at 9x4.55. I then ran the snowdrifts and snowflakes through my Xyron and then used Sugar Coating-Lily White Glitter on them. I ran some glue down the edges of the trees and glittered them, too. I popped up the trees and all of the snowflakes except for one of them. The sentiment is from Winter Wishes Stamp Set from K. Andrews Designs. At least $1 from the purchase of this stamp set goes to Adopt a Classroom. Each of her stamp sets benefit a different charity. Pretty awesome in my book and some pretty awesome stamp sets! All of the cardstocks I used were from my scrapbin, so I don't know who made them.

I made an A2 (4 1/4x5 1/2) size card. I used the Jolly Holidays cartridge. I cut the tag, layer and layer shift which is #49 on the overlay. I used my Gypsy Girl and hid the words, the berries-to get the tag and then the tag so I could get the berries the color that I wanted. I cut the tag at 2 1/2 inches and the holly and berries at 3 1/2 inches. The tag was cut using cardstock from Canvas Home Basis-Christmas Brights. The bg cardstock on my card is from Canvas Home Basis-Krafty Christmas. I cut 3 sets of the holly leaves and 4 sets of the berries. I popped up the holly on the front and coated the holly leaves and the berries in glossy accents. I used a piece of red tulle and tired a bow on the top of the tag. I then popped up the tag. The sentiment is from Mary's Home for Christmas stamp set. Your next stop is the awesome Candice's blog! Hope ya'll like my card. :)

Make a card, layout or craft project for Christmas using hearts and any colors you'd like. I was blessed to be able to get an Imagine from Walmart on Thanksgiving, so I decided to use it to make my card. I used the Snow Angel Imagine Cartridge to print and cut the 2nd house on page 26 of the booklet. I did all of the layers also. I cut an extra chimney and several extra of the tree. I popped up the chimney and the tree and then the house. The shape behind the house is from the preloaded stuff that is on the Imagine, as is the heart. The cardstock I cut the shape from is Little Yellow bicycle-Snowman Delight. I used the top part of the cardstock with the snowflakes on it. The print on the heart is from the Snow Angel cartridge. It has trees on it and one of them is the same as the tree in front of the house. I cut two hearts so I could pop up one of them. The faux pearls are from a Prima-Say it in Pearls that I cut apart. The sentiment is from the Home for Christmas stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Check them out! Mary's stamps are so awesome!! This is our last challenge for this year. We will be taking a break for Christmas. But don't fret to much. We will be back with a new challenge on Friday, January 6th, 2012. Oh My Gosh!!! Here it is Tuesday, 12/13 and it is the last chance to enter the challenge over at Cricut Cardz
I cannot believe I let it creep up on me like this! The challenge is called 'A Caroling We'll Go!' They want a card for Christmas based on your favorite Chrismas song, using any cartridge and colors. I decided to use my Imagine to make my card. The snowman is from the Enjoy The Seasons cart, the bg shape is programed into my Imagine and I got the print for it from the Snow Angels cartridge. I did some popping. My sentiment came from Cardz TV Stamps stamp set Holly Jolly. Mary's stamps are just awesome!! Go check them out! Okay, that's it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Daily Project

Morning!! Hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend planned. Today is my turn to show a daily project over at Exploring Cricut. One of these days I'm gonna surprise ya'll with something other than a card, but not today!! I used my Gyspy Girl, but did my pieces in sizes that you can do on your Cricut. I made a 6x6 card. The papers are from Paper Studio-Spunky Funky Christmas and Holly Jolly, also from Canvas Home Basics-Christmas Brights and Crafty Cardstock. I used the Christmas Cards Cartridge for my cuts. I used the cuts that are #'s 10, 20 and 30 on the overlay. I hid the cutouts on the back pieces. The back pieces I cut at 5 3/4 and 5 inch squares for the front and 4 1/2 and 3 3/4 for the inside. The stockings I cut at 7 1/2 inches for the one on front and 4 1/2 inches for the inside one. I used Peapod Twine from The Twinery on the top front piece. I stamped my sentiment on the cuff of the stocking. It is from Home for Christmas stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Check out Mary's stamps. They are fantastic!! Cardz TV Stamps Challenge #2

Guess what day it is? Come on...guess!!! You are so right!! It's time for another challenge for Cardz TV Stamps!!! Whoo Hoo!!! Our challenge for you, if you accept to take on the task, is to make a Christmas card, tags, mini abum, home decor item, gift or candy container, or what ever you'd like. Something 'Crafty Christmas'!! Your gonna love what Mary is giving away this time. Two stamp sets! Yeah!!! Encouraging Thoughts and Make a Wish. Check them out here. Mary's stamps are awesome!!! Now on to my project. Yeah, a project. Not a card this time. I know you're shocked! So am I!! LOL I altered a 7 inch paper mache box. I covered it with paper from K and Company-Secret Santa Designer Paper Pad that I picked up last year. The candy canes I cut from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. I used some glossy accents on the cutout parts of them. The large tag I hand cut. It is 4x2. I used a square punch to make the angle cuts on the top. I cut two and glued them together for thickness. I stamped it and the smaller tags with a sentiment from the Home for Christmas stamp set. The smaller tags are punched. I used my croc-a-dile and put an eyelet in the top and ran twine from The Twinery-Maraschino and Peapod-through them. I tied the small ones on the candy canes and the larger one is to attach to the lid. I also used some candy cane bling from Studio G that I picked up at Walmart. the Rudolph candy canes were made using brown pipe cleaners cut in half, twisted around the top on the candy cane and then shaped. I glued googly eyes on and a red pompom. I haven't made these since our children were little. Make sure you check out what my DT Sisters have made for your viewing pleasure. Awesomeness for sure!! Jesus-the reason for the season

I have a card that I made to share with ya'll. I bought some digi's from Bugaboo. Jodie has the Christmas ones on half price right now. The one I'm showing here is called 'Jesus'. I just love it!! After all, it is the 'reason for the season'!! Which is the sentiment on the inside of my card. I masked Jesus on a wooden stamp so I could stamp just the last part of the sentiment. I colored my digi with my Copics and a Spica Pen. The bg cardstock is from Graphic 45-Christmas Past. It is from last year. I didn't do any popping on this card so it will only take one stamp to mail it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!!! :)

Paper Playtime-Cricut Creations-Challenge #62

It's Monday again. But not just any Monday though. It's time for another Cricut Creations Challenge over at Paper Playtime. For this challenge we are asking you to make a Holiday project with buttons. You can make a card, layout, altered item, anything with paper. It's Monday!! And it's time for a new challenge for Exploring Cricut!! This week we are asking you to make a project with a sled on it. Now, it can be either a sled or sleigh. I went with the Joys of the Season cartridge for my sled. I cut the shadow and all the layers at 1 1/4 inches. I popped up the sled. You can find this sled on page 49 in the booklet. The bg paper is from My Little Shoebox-Jolly Holly-Mistletoe. I also cut one of the snowmen out and popped him up on the sled. I cut some white paper at an angle for a snow hill. Here We Go A Caroling Blog Hop

Oh how exciting!! I love blog hops. And if you arrived here at my blog from the awesome Cricut Chick's blog than you are going in the right direction. But now if you just stopped by for a visit, well, Thank You and if you would like to join us and hop along start at The Scrapbooking Queen's blog so you won't miss a thing. Now if you get lost, check at the end of my post and you will find a listing of all the awesome crafters on this hop. We all picked a Christmas Song and created something around it. I used the song-O Christmas Tree. I made two cards. On the first I used a wooden stamp by Hero Arts. I just love this Christmas tree. It makes me think of Charlie Brown's tree. Although this one does have more branches on it. I used my Copics and Spica Pens to color it. I trimed it down and then rounded the corners and popped it up. The bg paper is from My Mind's Eye-i believe-Trees. The backside of the paper has the dots on it. The sentiment is computer generated. I used Curlz MT font at 24pts. I popped it up on two pieces of foam tape. The second card I used a digi stamp called O Christmas Tree from Dude Time Doodles. I colored it with my Copics and Spica Pens. I then fussy cut it out and popped it up. The patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spunky Funky Christmas paper pack.The sentiment is computer generated using Frosty font at 28pts. I trimmed it down and rounded the corners. I cut a piece of the patterned paper to go behind it and then popped it on 2 pieces of foam tape. The striped ribbon is from my stash. The bling is Paper Studio gemstones. Sure hope ya'll like my cards!! :)

Paper Cutz Challenge #118-Jingle All the Way

Here it is Friday and lots going on today!! The main thing is the new challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge. Our theme is 'Jingle All the Way!' We would love for you to make either a card, layout or project using a Cricut cut, stamped or digital stamp image of jingle bells. You can use any colors you'd like. I decided to go with the jingle bells on the Wrap It Up Cartridge. I cut them twice so I could pop them up. I used glossy accents on the bells. My frame is cut from the Elegant Edges Cartridge. It is called Burst and is on page 43 of the handbook. The patterned cardstocks are from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio- Spunky Funky Christmas stack. My sentiments are from the Home for Christmas stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. These are some of the best stamps that you could ever hope to own! Mary is putting out some awesome stamp sets. A Couple of Cards

Here a couple of cards I made using two more digi's from Inked Treasures. The first one is Christmas Tree Bella and the second one is Christmas Ellie. I colored both using Copics and Spica Pens. The bg papers are from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Holly Jolly paper pad. The striped piece one the second one is from Canvas Home Basics Christmas Bright. The sentiment on both of my cards are from the Holly Jolly stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Mary has awesomely wonderful stamp sets! Head over and check them out. She is working on some new designs, too. The twine on the second card is from The Twinery. I finished up my cards by using these Christmas brads. I bent the brads in and used 3D pop dots to attach them to my cards. Hope ya'll like my cards!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes #37

This week over at Birthday Sundaes the challenge is to simply create a birthday card and to include birthday wording/sentiment on the front. Also, this is the last challenge of the year. They are taking a holiday break and will be back on January 8th, 2012. I was one of the shoppers that stood around the Imagines at Walmart Thanksgiving night! I got there at 7pm and chatted with the other 3 ladies there to get one. There were only 5 Imagines at the store here. I've been playing around with it. I updated it and cut this rooster and bird over and over. I just went with the colors that are on the Imagine More Cartridge. This cartridge came with the Imagine. I also wanted to print my own paper. I found this on the same cart. Hubby said it makes it hard to see part of the rooster and bird. He's right, but I really like how it turned out!! The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Tweetie Hoo Puns. I wrapped some twine from Papertrey Ink around the middle and popped up the images. The sentiment piece I popped up using two pieces of foam tape. I didn't do anything to the inside. GASP!!! I know! When I get the hang of using my new toy, I'll do something on the inside, too. I was just so excited to figure out how to cut without a border!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Meow...Mouse!

Hello!! Looks like I'm back to my can't get a project posted in a timely manner for the challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2! I've been kinda draggy lately. I think it's this crazy weather we're having here in Alabama. It snowed here yesterday! Yeah!! Now, we are 'not' the snow capital of the world. It didn't stick here in our little town but some other places had it on the grass and decks. It was really pretty and big flakes. Hope ya'lls weather isn't as crazy as ours!! Okay, now onto the current challenge. They are asking that you use the mouse on the Meow Lite Cartridge. And if you don't have this cart, use one from another cartridge. Now this isn't a cartridge that I had attended to buy. But some how or another it ended up in my buggy and came home with me. It really does have some cute cuts on it, and the little mouse is one of them. Using my Gypsy Girl, I flipped him so he would be facing the other direction, cut him twice so I could pop one layer up. I hid the eye so I could use a little black faux pearl instead. The Christmas tree is from the Celebrate With Flourish cartridge. I cut it twice and ran most of it off the screen so I could get the trunk in brown. Popped up one layer of the tree also. I used green and red bling for the ornaments. The star I colored with a gold Spica pen. The sentiment is from the Home for Christmas stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. I punched out a green and a red piece, off centered them, stamped and popped it up. I used the same green and red bling on the sentiment piece and in the corner, just different sizes. The striped paper is from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-open stock. I'm making Christmas cards for our Grands and since we have 9 of them and our oldest is engaged so that makes 10, I'm trying to keep them pretty simple. Ya'll still have time to make something with this cute little mouse and enter it over at BBTB2. Hope ya like my mousey card!!! :)

The Scrapbooking Queens Royal Digi Challenge #3

Here it is, the last Monday of the month. Now, where did November go? Kinda like my daughter asking me last night where the day went. I told her that it started and 30 minutes later is was over. Time is just flying by way to fast. And it being the last Monday of the month it means we are having a new challenge at The Scrapbooking Queens Royal Digi Challenge The theme this month is Christmas/Winter. The stamped image I used is Santa Lenny from Inked Treasures. I think he makes quite a handsome Santa. I colored him with my Copics and the fur is colored with a Spica pen. I fussy cut him out and popped him up on a piece of cardstock that I cut out with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Ovals Large, using my Cuttlebug. All of the cardstocks that I used for my card and cuts are from two different Canvas Home Basics that I got at Hobby Lobby. One is called Christmas Brights and the other Krafty Christmas. The ribbon is from my stash and the bling is Paper Studio Gemstones called Santa Hats. The sentiment is from the Home for Christmas stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Today is my turn to showcase the daily project at Exploring Cricut. I used Christmas Cards Cartridge to make this snowman card. He can be found 14 across on the second roll and then the layers going down under this column. I did not use the phrase. I laid everything out on my Gypsy Girl. I cut the card at 11.68widex6.06high, the snowman and his layers at 4.26widex12.10high, and the snowflakes at 4.08wodex8.34high. I ran the snowman pieces, the snowflakes and the hat pompom through my xyron and then coated them with Sugar Coating Lily White Glitter. The hat and scarf were also ran through my xyron and coated in Doodlebug Velvet Flock in blue. I love the sparkle the glitter gives my snowman and snow flakes. The bg paper I came across in my stash when I was hunting for something to use. I have no idea who put it out. The sentiment is a wooden stamp from A Muse Art Stamp. It is called Vintage Merry Christmas. Today is the last day to enter our lastest challenge. So hurry and get something entered! Bitten By The Bug 2-Joy

Boy did I even cheat on this card for the challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2. They asked for you to use the word Joy from the Winter Woodland Cartridge and if you don't have this one, you can use Joy from any cartridge. I cut it and it's shadow and then just the word in a smaller size for the inside. Did some doodling on them and then went totally blank on what I wanted to do with them. Hence it taking me forever to get this posted. I was digging in my stash and came across this paper that I had picked up at Hobby Lobby at some point in time. Must of been a while back since I had forgotten that I had it. I decided it would be great for this card. And then decided it would be great without any other embellishments. Just plain and simple. That's what I get when my mind just can't come up with anything else! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes

The current challenge at Birthday Sundaes is to use your old neglected stash (and tell in post what those items are) creating a birthday card with birthday wording on front. I thought and thought and thought what to make for this challenge. I dug around in my sticker bin and found these Disney Dimensional Stickers from Jolee's Boutique called Sebastian and Friends. I know I've had them for at least a year. I made a shaped card from the fishbowl cut on the Create a Critter Cartridge. I cut the water layer for the outside and inside. I used My Pink Stamper stamp sets Family and Friends for outside sentiment and More Punny-licious for the inside one. I used all of the dimensionals on my card. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Challenge #4

Aren't Mondays wonderful?! Well, every other ones are anyways. It means there is a new challenge at Exploring Cricut! I sure hope ya'll have been checking out the daily projects for my wonderful DT Sisters. They are just amazing!!! For this challenge we are using a turkey image. Use any cartridge. There are several with turkeys on them. For mine I used the turkey on page 70 of the booklet from the Create-A-Critter Cartridge. I cut the pumpkin from the same page. I pulled some scraps from my scrapbin to do my cuts with. My turkey and layers were cut at 3 inches and the pumkin was cut at 1 1/2 inches. The little quote oval was also cut from CAC. It can be found on page 60. I cut it at 3/4 inches. I use these great eyelashed google eyes for my turkey. I think it makes him look a little shifty. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's A Holiday to Remember stamp set. I stamped it, punched it out, popped it up and added some tiny faux black half pearls. I wrote on the quote oval. The bg striped paper is from Hobby Lobby. I then pulled down my button jar and started fishing out some orange buttons to add. Did a little bit of doodling to finish up my card. Now it's your turn!! Birthday Sundaes Challenge #35

I'm really running it to the end of the wire on the current challenge for Birthday Sundaes. Just a few more hours to create a card and enter. The theme is to include a tree on your birthday card and don't forget the birthday sentiment/wording on the front. I went with the tree on the Country Life cartridge. It can be found on page 52. I didn't cut the fruit. Just the leaves. Cut some extra of them to use on the inside and to fall off the tree. The sentiment is composed from two different My Pink Stamper stamp sets. The 'Have a tree-mendous' is from the More Punny-licious set and 'birthday' is from the Family and Friends set. I used a piece of tape and covered up the parts that I didn't want to stamp. Inked up the stamp and then removed the tape. The bg paper is from DCWV the Autumn Splendor stack. Did a little doodling with my white gelly roll pen and popped up the tree and sentiment. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Paper Cutz Challenge #117-Let's Talk Turkey

I goofed. I goofed big time!!! I failed to post my card for the Paper Cutz Challenge. Yeah. My brain must be else where. I think I'll blame it on being sick. Was off work most of last week sick as a dog. Doctor put me to bed. My brain had to have suffered from not being able to get into my craftroom. That has to be what did it. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!! HaHaHaHaHaHa
This go round we are 'Talking Turkey!!' We would love for you to make a card, layout or craft project for Thanksgiving using a stamped, digital stamp or Cricut cut image of a turkey. You can use any colors you'd like. I decided to color this awesomely cute turkey from Meljens Designs called Thomas Turkey. He's a very happy turkey. He missed being on the turkey platter!!!! I colored him with my Copics and then fussy cut him out. I cut this piece behind him with my Cuttlebug using a Spellbinders Nestabilites Labels Two and then wrapped some twine from Papertrey Ink around it and popped it up. Then I popped up the digi. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. Punched it out and popped it up. To finish my card, I ran some of the twine through these buttons that I had picked up at Walmart and used glue dots to put them on my card. We are all making a card using our favorite technique, card fold, colors, embellishments.....whatever we consider 'Our' style. There is also a challenge for you here. Do your style!! Now this is a really short challenge. You have until midnight, EST, Sunday Nov. 20th to create and link. And there is a prize! Mary is giving away her 'Thankful For You' stamp set. A winner will be announced Monday, Nov. 21st. Wouldn't you love to be able to win this set? Get busy creating!!! Now for my cards. Yeah, I did two. I guess my main style could be called cute cards. I can make serious and fancy cards, but really like making cute ones. My first card I used Four Legged Friends. I cut Dog 3. It is #13 on the overlay. I made a long card. It will fit in a #10 business size envelope. The bg paper is from some stack that I had taken apart. I think I had picked it up at Big Lots a couple of years ago. I used some bone and paw brads in the corners. The sentiment is from the Barks and Bones stamp set. My other card I used the Create-A-Critter cartridge. I cut the mouse from page 37. I used goggle eyes instead of cutting the ones from the cut. I decided it would be cute on an action wobble. This great bg paper is from Karen Foster-Christmas Sketch. The great sentiment is from the Home for Christmas stamp set. All of Mary's stamps are clear polymar stamps. Which means that they stamp fantastic every time!!! Now it is your turn. Bitten By The Bug 2-Contest-Boy Crazy

Bitten By The Bug 2 is having a contest sponsored by My Pink Stamper!! The winner gets her boy Crazy stamp set!!! This started last Wednesday, 11/9 and only goes for a week, so not much more time to enter but you can if you hurry. You are to make a new Cricut project that is masculine/boy themed. I decided to use the horse from the Create-a-Critter cartridge. Using my Gypsy Girl, I flipped him so he would face the opposite direction. I also used the hide contour and hid the eyes so I could use jiggle ones. My bg paper is from K and Company-Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy Pad. I used some twine from Papertrey Ink. The sentiment was computer generated using the Croobie font at 28 pts. Hope ya'll like my boy card!!! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #95

The current challenge for Cricut Cardz is "We're So Thankful!" Make a card for Thanksgiving using a card feature from any Cricut Cartridge and using any colors. I got my card from the Just Because Cards cartridge, the leaf w/swirl and the piece behind it is from the Thanksgiving cartridge and the Happy Thanksgiving is from the Wild Card cartridge. I cut the leaf and swirl twice in two different papers so I could piece it in my chosen papers. I used scraps from my scrapbin for my cuts and the bg. I did a little doodling to finish it off. You have until midnight, EST, Tuesday, November 22nd. to link up a card for this challenge. So plenty of time to join in on the fun. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Today is my turn to make a daily project at Exploring Cricut. Now if you haven't checked out the daily projects this week, you need to go now and look. Awesomeness for sure!!! Also, you have a little bit of time left to enter this weeks challenge. Today is the last day!!! Now on to my card. I decided to use the Simply Charmed Cartridge. I was going to cut the scarecrow, but decided instead to cut the scarewoman. Hahaha Just use that shift button and cut all the layers and you will have this cute little female scarecrow. Now, I did use my Gypsy Girl so I could use the hide contour to hide stuff that I didn't want to cut. All of my cuts are 4 inches. I used Peachy Keen stamp set Wide Eyed Kids Assortment for her face. The bg paper is DCWV-the Autumn Spendor stack. The others are from my scrapbin. The sentement is from two different stamp sets. The 'hello' is from My Pink Stamper stamp set Everyday Occasions. The 'my friend' is from K. Andrew Designs Amazing You stamp set. At least $1 from the sale of the K. Andrew stamp sets is donated to a charity. This sets charity is Doorways for Women and Families. I wrapped some twine from Papertrey Ink around the end and popped up the sentiment over it. I used a faux white half pearl for the center of the flower and did a little bit of doodling. Bitten By The Bug 2-Heritage Accent 9

I'm ahead of myself with this challenge! Woot Woot!!!! The challenge that started yesterday at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to use the Heritage Cartridge. And to use the Accent 9 cut. It is a fancy corner. I fired up my trusty Gypsy Girl and got to work. I decided to weld two of the corners together for each end of my card. I wanted to go with a totally different color than I normally use. I did look at the pinks and blues but went with green. Then I had to decide what to use as a back ground. I flipped through some of my stacks and decided to go with this pattern from Cosmo Cricket-DeLovely Mini Deck. I knew I wanted to make a friend card. I did a search on my Gypsy Girl and looked at all of the friend words and decided on this one from the Lacy Labels cartridge. Well it didn't take up enough room and I just had to fill those empty spaces. I had this faux white pearl flourish that I had used part of on a previous card. I cut it apart and used part of it on the top and the rest on the bottom. That left none for the inside. Not to fear! I have plenty of faux white half pearls! I just made a line down the side and across the top from the corner on the inside. That's it. Now, if you don't have the Heritage cartridge, there are some fancy corners on other carts. All they ask is it to be a new project. Come join in on this fun. Still plenty of time since I'm so early getting my project done!!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #34

The current challenge at Birthday Sundaes is to create a birthday card with birthday wording on the front. Now how much easier could that be?! I just purchased the Christmas Cards Cartridge for a mere $14!! I was thrilled!! The little bird caught my eye. I thought it would be perfect on a birthday card. I powered up my Gypsy Girl and went to work. I didn't want the birdhouse and the sentiment to cut so I used the hide contour on my Gypsy Girl. I had also hid the face features 'cus I wanted to stamp a face. I used Peachy Keen stamp set Everyday Character Face Parts and More. I stamped the beak first and because I thought the eyes were to close together, I taped over one, stamped it and then did the other so they would be right where I wanted them! I felt I needed to mount this cute little birdie on something so I went hunting on my Lacy Labels Cartridge for something. I cut this shape and it's shadow. Put some Blossom twine from The Twinery around the top piece and popped it over the shadow. The polka dot paper is from American Crafts and the others papers are from my scrapbin. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. I thought I was finished but I felt it needed something else. I had picked up these little polka dot buttons by Studio G at Walmart and decided that would be the perfect finishing touch. So here you are. Another birthday card! Oh I almost forgot, I used Lavender Stickles on the pompom and cuff of the boggin! There is still time to enter this challenge. You have until Saturday. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Yeah, I know I'm behind here. Halloween was last week, but I just had to get my card in for the challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2. I let the bg paper from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spooksville Stack do most of the work for me. The sentiment is from Spooky Sayings stamp set that Mary of Cardz TV fame has put out. Paper Playtime Cricut Creations Challenge #60

This is my second post for today. If you are looking for or want to check out my card for Exploring Cricut, click here. Today at Paper Playtime we are showing Thank You projects. Now I want to take a moment and thank everyone that entered a project in last weeks 5th Monday challenge. WOW!!! Wonderful!!! Hope all of ya'll join us for this challenge, too! The only requirements for this challenge is you have to use at least one Cricut cut and make a Thank You project. Very simple. I went with the Elegant Edges cartridge. I used my Gypsy Girl and welded my shape together to make a shaped card. This one is Flower 2 on page 59. I used the shift for my card base. And then cut the frame shape for the overlay on the front. I used a wooden stamp for my sentiment and then accented it with some faux half pearls. The inside pieces are the shift cut also, just smaller. The circle behind the top sentiment piece is what cut from the center of the front piece. It took longer for me to decide what shape I was going to cut than it did to cut and put it together!! Exploring Cricut Challenge #3

I am so excited! It's time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. It's been changed up a little bit. Instead of doing a partricular cartridge, we will now be asking for partricular things. Like this week our challenge is to make a project using leaves and an acorn and in Fall colors. I started one card for this and didn't like how it was going so didn't finish it. Then I made the one I'm showing. Liked it better, but still wasn't as happy with it as I wanted to be. So I did a third card. It turned out cute but it wasn't what I wanted either. Since I was running out of time, I really needed to go with either the one or the other. So I went with this one. I really love the bg papers. They are doing most of the work for me. It is from DCWV-the Autumn Splendor Stack. I have used so much from this stack that I'll have it all used up before long. The acorn and the leaf border are from Give-a-Hoot cartridge. Both can be found on page 31 of the handbook. The acorn is the Accent and the border is the Border. I cut them several times in different colors so I could piece them to get the colors I wanted. The hide contour on my Gypsy Girl wouldn't work on these, as the lines ran all together. I'm sorry, but I failed to take note of the sizes I cut them. I added the leaf brads in the top corners and one on the inside. Please take a moment to check out the projects my DT Sisters created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Paper Cutz Challenge #116-Gobble Gobble

I can't believe it is November already!! Didn't this year just start like yesterday?! You know since it is now November, Thanksgiving will be in a few days and then Christmas will be here a few days after that?! Okay, not really, but it sure will seem that way! I'm so looking forward to gathering with the family and having a great time and good food. This week at Paper Cutz Challenge our theme is Gobble Gobble. We would love for you to make a card, layout or any project for Thanksgiving incorporating a recipe for your favorite Thanksgiving Dish. Use any colors that you would like. I decided to make a layout this week. Bet you wasn't expecting that, was ya?! I couldn't figure out how to do my recipe into a card so I went with a layout. Since I got it finished, it hit me how to do it into a card. Sometimes my duh moments hit me a little to late. LOL I used the Thanksgiving Cartridge for my pie and pumpkin. I cut two of the pumpkins so I could pop it up. I also cut two of the dark crust piece and popped it up after coating it in Glossy Accents. I also used some glossy accents on the stem of the pumpkin. I used Diamond Stickles in the openings on the crust and on the steam. The Pumpkin Pie recipe was done on the computer. Printed it out, trimmed it down and rounded the corners. The bg of my layout is from DCWV-the Autumn Splendor Stack. Now, I've never made a pumpkin pie, but my Mom makes them and they are divine!!! I so love her sweet potato pies, too!!! Yummy!!!!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #33

This week at Birthday Sundaes the challenge is to make a Birthday Card. Yeah!! Just make sure there is a birthday wording/sentiment on the front. I needed a Birthday card for my brother-in-law. So when I got up this morning, I hopped into my craftroom, colored up this digi called Wat-a-Catch from Di's Digi Downloads. The sentiment is from two different stamp sets. The 'Fishin you a' is from Scrappy Mom's Amusing Animals stamp set. I masked the last part of the stamp so I could use the first part. The 'Happy Birthday' is from My Pink Stamper Family and Friends stamp set. the bg paper is Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio open stock. I cut out, trimmed down and rounded corners. I didn't do anything on the inside. I left it totally bland so Hubby can write his brother a nice message. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Make a card for Halloween using 'any' Halloween image you'd like from any cartridge and colors. I used the Mini Monsters cartridge. I cut the ghost with the ball and chain. I cut two of the top layers so I could pop it up. The eyes are from Hobby Lobby-Spare Parts-Googly Eye Brads. The bg papers and the papers I used for my cuts are from my scrapbin. I also used Lemondrop twine from The Twinery. My outside and inside sentiments are from Spooky Sayings stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. That's it. The Queen's Royal Digi Challenge #2

It's the last Monday of the month. In fact, the last day of the month. So Happy Halloween!!! Don't eat to much of the kiddies candy when they go to bed!! It's also time for a new digi challenge for The Queen's Royal Digi Challenge. Our theme this month is Fall/Thanksgiving.
My first project is a 12x12 layout. Thought I was gonna say a card didn't ya?! There's my trick for today!!! I used Harvest Bella from Inked Treasures. Isn't she so cute. And she so loves her pumpkins. All of the patterned designer papers I used are from Gooseberry Patch. The photo mats I cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge. I used the shift key and frame feature for Butterfly 1 on page 30. I cut the frame and then the backing, I cut by hiding the center cutout for the frame. The big one was cut at 4 3/4 inches and the small one at 3 1/2 inches. The pumpkins I cut from the Create-a-Critter cartridge. I popped them up. I left one side of the frame unglued so I can slip a photo in after Thanksgiving.
My second project is a card. I can't help myself!!! The digi I used for this one is Pumpkin Love from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps. Also keep up with Heidi here to see what she's doing with 2 Cute Stamps. These are the sweetest pumpkins. Now for my card. I went with a 6x6 card. I cut the digi out using the center point on my Expression. I used the Elegant Edges cartridge. I cut Swirl 1-shift on page 25. The gingham paper is from Gooseberry Patch and the pumpkin paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby. I think I must have gotten it last year since there was only one piece. I used some Mandarin twine from The Twinery. I used EK Success Scallop Scallop punch on the gingham piece. I used some foam tape and popped up the digi image. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's A Holiday to Remember stamp set.
The third project I made is another card. This one is an A2 size card. For this one I used the Windy Play digi from Di's Digi Download. Isn't this adorable?! The bg designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket-Nutmeg-Autumn. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's A Holiday to Remember stamp set. I used foam tape to pop up the digi image.
For my fourth project I used Pumpkin Pie digi from The Stamping Boutique. Is this not yummy looking?! I can't hardly wait for my Mom to start making her awesome pumpkin pies. Sooooo gooood!!! The bg designer paper is from DCWV-the Autumn Splendor Stack. I rounded the corners of my digi piece and popped it up. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. It is also popped up.
For this last project I did, I used the Driftwood Border digi from Delicious Doodles. I colored it and then cut it out and cut the middle out of it, too. I chose this Bible verse from Dee's Bugaboo Boutique. Dee does these awesome word art with Bible verses. She has a new one every Tuesday. And another wonderful thing about them is that she lets you have them for 'free'!! Yeah! I thought this one from Galations 6:9 went perfectly with this digi. The bg paper that I used is from DCWV-the Doodlin' Around Stack for All Year Round. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Scattered Straw.
All of the digi's were colored with Copics. I also used some Spica pens on three of them.
I'm sorry, I have not finished the insides of these cards. GASP!!! I know!! Totally not me!!

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Happy Saturday everyone!! Hope ya'll are having a great weekend so far! Today it is my turn to showcase a Cricut Cartridge of my choice at Exploring Cricut. If you haven't entered our challenge yet get busy! You have until 9 pm EST tonight to link your creation. And if you haven't been checking out our daily projects, head over and take a look. Some awesomeness from my DT Sisters!!! Now on to my project. I made a birthday card for a special friend. Her birthday isn't for a couple more weeks but I wanted to be ready. I used the little bird from the Disney Princesses Happily Ever After cartridge. It can be found on page 59 under the icon feature. I cut the bird and it's layer at 3 inches. I cut 2 of the bird so I could have the black for the beak and legs. The other cut I trimmed off the beak and legs. And I also cut the shift layer for the bird. The piece I mounted my bird on is from the Elegant Edges cartridge. I cut the Bird 2 shift piece on page 40. I cut this piece at 3 1/2 inches. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. I trimmed it down and then cut a piece a little bigger for the backing. I did a little bit of doodling and added some little pink faux half pearls to the top two corners. The bg dp is from Cosmo Cricket-Nutmeg-Cinnamon. The green paper is from a heidi grace paper pack and the peach and pink are from sei-chickadees paper pad. Hope ya'll like my card. Paper Cutz Challenge #115

It's Friday again and we all know what that means! The weekend is ahead 'and' it's time for a new challenge at Paper Cutz Challenge. Our theme this week is "Turning Over a New Leaf". We would love for you to make a card, layout or craft project for Fall using LOTS of leaves and any colors you'd like 'Except' green and blue. Now, I'm here to tell you that I really had to keep going through my stash to find something for the bg that didn't have any green or blue on it. And I have some great leaf papers that I would have loved to use, but couldn't. I found this in my DCWV-the Autumn Splendor Stack. The tree I cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge and the pumpkins are from the Create-a-Critter cartridge. The leaves are a punch that I've had forever, welllll maybe not forever, but a long time. I used the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder on my tree. Birthday Sundaes Color Challenge #3

Hello everyone!!! The challenge over at Birthday Sundaes is a color challenge. I usually have a hard time with these. And boy did I with this one!! I picked and discarded choices right and left until I was happy with my combo of colors and papers. The colors you are to use are purple, green, white and black. Can also use neutrals if needed. I cut the birds on page 23 from the Birthday Bash cartridge. I could let you believe that I meant to have the balloon go off the top of my card, but that would be dishonest. I laid everything out on my Gypsy Girl and cut away. Put it all together and laid it on my card and realized that it was to big for the A2 card I had prepared!!! I turned my Gypsy Girl back on and looked and sure enough, there it was. Bigger than my card! I had not even caught it!! Duh(slap on the forehead)!!! Oh well, it will be alright. I think I like it. I have a friend at work that is having a birthday Thursday. This one will go to her. I pulled scraps from my scrapbin to make this card. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Tweetie Hoo Puns stamp set. I did some doodliing and popping and finished this card up. Hope ya'll like my it!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut

It's time for our second challenge at Exploring Cricut. We are using the Celebrations Cartridge for this challenge. The candy on page 111 to be exact. I decided to use the card feature for my card. Just use the fill the page feature on your Expression and it will make it as big as it can. It's not quite a 6x6 card when folded, but almost. And the corners are already rounded!! I seperated my candy using my Gyspy Girl so I could have them all different colors. I also seperated the center design, by using the hide contour feature. I cut each of the bigger pieces twice at 3 1/2 inches and the smaller ones once at 2 1/2 inches. I used glossy accents on one each of the bigger pieces and the small pieces. The bg paper is from American Crafts-halloween. The sentiment is from a wooden stamp. I used the back of the bg paper and then used scissors on the ends and added tiny faux black half pearls. The twine is Mandarin from The Twinery. I felt it needed something else, so I added the spiders on the outside and the web on the inside. They are from Hobby Lobby. A really cute new set of bling they have out. And there is a prize! Go visit and check out the details! Happy Birthday Grandson

Our next to the youngest grandson had a birthday last week and I made him this birthday card. The cupcake was cut from the Cupcake Cricut Lite Cartridge. I won this cart from a BBTB2 blog hop. Thank you Jeri!!! I cut the #17 cupcake on the keypad and the letter j that's #27 on the keypad. The wrapper was cut from a piece of scrap from my scrapbin. The bg paper is from DCWV-the Celebration Stack. I covered the chocolate frosting with glossy accents and put the star buttons on for sprinkles. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. That's all. And guess what, I'm not entering this card into any challenges. I just wanted to show ya'll what I made for our grandson. Hope ya'll have an awesome Sunday!!! My Sheri Crafts Challenge #71

My Sheri Crafts current challenge is all about pumpkins. Really simple challenge. Just include a pumpkin of any kind on your project. I cut my pumpkins from the Freshly Picked cartridge. My hay bale is from the Old West cart, the corn stalks from the Just Because Cards and the crows are from the Celebrate With Flourish cart. The bg paper is from the Paper Loft-Autumn Splendor-Scarecrow. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. Thought this would make a good Thanksgiving card. This challenge started last Saturday and runs for another week. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Contest Time!!

Bitten By The Bug 2 is having a contest with a fabulous new sponsor!! Erica at Crafty Sprouts is giving away the set Totally Witchin' to one lucky winner! Wootwoot!! All you have to do is make a Cricut Halloween project using the color purple. I decided to go with the Mini Monsters Cartridge for my card. I cut the elephant looking creature. The pattern paper I used to cut my creature with is from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spooksville Paper Pad. The solids are scraps. The bg paper is from Bo Bunny-Boo Crew Ghoul Friends. I put my little creature on an Action Wooble. I love these things!!! The Trick or Treat is Say it with Wire-Treasured Memories. It is blog candy I won from a blog hop at BBTB2. Thank you Krista!!! I love it!!! I hid the eyes so I could use these googly ones. One oval and one round. I think it turned out pretty cute. The contest started this past Wednesday, October 19 and is going for just one week. You still have enough time to create something and enter. But now if you don't want to bother, that's okay by me. Gives me a better chance of winning that stamp set!! Bahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!! Hope ya'll like my little wobbly creature card!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Hello Kitty Halloween

Oh this is so fun!! A Hello Kitty Halloween challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2!! They are wanting you to use the Halloween Cat from the Hello Kitty Cartridge. And of course if you don't have this cart, use a cat from another cart and make it a Halloween theme. I think Hello Kitty is just the cutest. I cut her and the jack-o-lantern. The bg paper is from a Martha Stewart stack from last year. The sentiment is a stamp from my stash. I popped up Hello Kitty using one piece of foam tape and the pumpkin with two pieces. I did a little bit of doodling to finish up. Since the challenge goes for two weeks, you have another week or so to enter this challenge. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Paper Cutz Challenge #114

It's Friday and my vacation is almost over. Yeah, I've been on vacation this week. My sister was here from Texas. We had an awesome time. Was sad to see her leave yesterday. Now, I've got to play catch up!! Another thing for today is the new challenge at Paper Cutz. The theme is "In The Pink". We want you to make a card, layout or craft project for Breast Cancer Awareness month using Pink and any other colors you'd like. My bg dp is Pink Ribbon Paper. I got it last year at my LSS when it was open. I saved it until now to use. I think it is so pretty. The bra cut is from Forever Young Cartridge, page 61. The dp I used for it I got from my scrap bin. I did some doodling with a white gelly roll pen. My sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's stamp set Believe in Miracles. I stamped it in black so it would pop out at ya from my card, since everything else besides the doodling is a shade of pink. Even the bling ribbon. It is from Colorbok. Another item I had gotten last year from my LSS. Now it is your turn. Create away and enter so we can come a admire. You have until midnight, EST, Thursday, October 27th to link up your creation. Exploring Cricut Daily Posting

Today is my turn to have the daily posting at Exploring Cricut. I focused on the Forever Young Cartridge. I cut the hats on pages 57 and 63 and the layers. Everything was cut at 2 inches. All of the solid papers except for the white are from K and Company-Life's Little Occasions-Brights and Primary Paper Pads. The bg patterned paper is from k i Memories Girly Girl Paper Pad. The sentiment is from K. Andrew of Getting Cricky, stamp set Fashionable Friends. At least $1 of the sale of this stamp set goes to Cancer Angels. All of her stamp sets have a Charity Counts that is donated to for each set sold. My BFF's Mother has breast cancer and she wears some of the prettiest hats. She is from the old school where hats are fancy. And boy are some of hers fancy!!! They are all so beautiful. I made this card in honor of her and her beautiful hats. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Paper Cutz Challenge #113-Stars, Circles and Diamonds, Oh My!

It's Friday and time for a new challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge. The theme is 'Stars, Circles and Diamonds, Oh My!' We would love for you to make a card, layout or craft project for Halloween using stars, circles or diamonds and any colors you'd like. I picked one of Mary's stamps from her Spooky Sayings set. You can check out Mary's stamps here. They are awesome!!! I built my card around the sentiment. I cut the moon (circle) from the George Cartridge, the tree and tombstones from the Mini Monsters Cartridge, the wolf from the Old West Cartridge and the cloud is from Stand and Salute Cartridge. I double cut the moon, wolf and tree so I could pop up one of the layers. I stamped the sentiment, trimed around it, added some tiny black half pearls and popped it up. A quick and easy card and I already know whom I'm giving it to. My BFF's son will love it. Check out what my DT Sisters have created for this challenge. Awesomeness!!!! It was really hard to get a good picture of this card. First the moon and sentiment piece turned out yellow and on this one is it a funky yellow/orange. It is suppose to be the orange like the inside piece is. Now that picture is more right. Go figure. Sometimes I just can't seem to be able to make a decent picture!!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #30

For challenge #30 over at Birthday Sundaes this week the theme is Fall Colors. They want a birthday card with fall colors and birthday wording/sentiment on the front. I made a Cricutless card for this challenge. I pulled out my Cuttlebug and the Spellbinders Nestablilities-Pumpkins set. I haven't used this set in a really long time. I cut them using the gingham paper from DCWV-The Autumn Splendor Stack. I did enough so I could pop up the top layer. The bg paper is from Cosmo Cricket-Falling Down. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. I stamped, trimmed it down, and cut a piece of the bg paper and the gingham paper to back it. I also popped it up. A real simple card, but I think I really like it. Hope ya'll do, too!!! :)
By the way, this challenge goes through this Saturday so you have enough time to join in!!

Bitten By The Bug 2-Vulture

Am I on a roll or what with my cards for the Bitten By The Bug 2 challenges! This one started yesterday! Woot Woot!!!! For this challenge they want you to use the vulture from the Life's A Party Cartridge. And of course if you don't have this cart, use any other bird as long as it is as cute as this vulture is!!! Now I would never just say, 'I think I'll make a card with a vulture on it'. Not exactly my type of bird, but I had a good time making this card. I cut my vulture from scraps from my scrap bin. The bg papers are from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spooksville Paper Pad. The vulture cut doesn't have the pirate bandana. I added it from the cut on page 34. I thought he would be cuter with it. I searched my wooden stamps for a sentiment to go with this card. I know this isn't what this sentiment would normally be used for, but I thought it would do just fine. I stamped it and then used my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch on the bottom. The inside sentiment is also a wooden stamp. This challenge lasts 2 weeks from yesterday, so ya'll have plenty of time to create something with this really cute vulture or other cute bird and join in on the fun!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Challenge #1

I am so excited to be a part of this great Design Team!!! We will be exploring Cricut Cartridges and inspiring you to use your Cricut!! Every other Monday we will post a new challenge using a certain cut from a Cricut Cartridge and we hope ya'll join in on the fun!!! You can make a card, layout or paper craft. For our first challenge we are using the Art Philopsophy Cartridge. Everyone doesn't have this cartridge (I don't), but if you do please join us. We are using the square from page 43-square 3 and at least any two flowers. I used the flower and layer to it from page 29. Diane was very gracious and provided us that did not have this cartridge the cuts we needed for this very first challenge. The square was cut at 4 1/4 inches and the flowers and layers at 2 inches. I was so excited when my package came in the mail. I decided to do a 6X6 card in honor of Breast CancerAwareness. The striped dp is from Heidi Grace. I used it as my bg and for the butterflies. The small ones are a Martha Stewart punch and the larger one I cut from the Elegant Edges Cartridge. I used my Gypsy Girl and the butterfly from page 30-border feature. I used the hide conture feature and hid everything except one of the butterflies. I then enlarged it to 3 3/4 inches and cut one in the striped and one in blue. Now if you don't have a Gypsy, I think if you cut it at 4 inches it would be fine. I used 3D Zots under the wings to make them stand up and white half pearls in the center of the butterflies. I have these huge ones that I placed in the center of my flowers. The pink swirls are Recollections from Michaels. The sentiment and breast cancer ribbon are from My Pink Stamper Everyday Occasions stamp set. I finished off my card by using Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz all over the front to give it some sparkle. We hope ya'll will join us! There is a prize for this first challenge! One of our DT Sisters-Emily-has graciously donated some Close to my Heart paper as the prize. The challenge lasts until midnight, Saturday, October 15th. and on Sunday a winner will be picked. Looking forward to seeing your projects!!! Hope ya'll like my card.

There is a brand new challenge blog that has gone live today!! Check out Exloring Cricut. The first challenge will be Monday, October 10th. So make sure you mark your calendar and come back and join in on the fun.
There will have a challenge every other Monday and each day, except for Sunday, there will be a post from one of the DT Members. Each post will feature a Cricut Cartridge.
