Princess-Birthday

Good Saturday Morning!!! Here we are at the end of another month. September is just around the next bend. Where did August go?!
I am here this morning to show ya'll what I made for my Daily Project post for Exploring Cricut and More. One of the granddaughter's has a birthday next month so I decided to go ahead and make her card. I went with another box card. Bet that one surprises ya, doesn't it???!!!! This one is called Princess Castle and is by Lori Whitlock. It is file #56157 in the Silhouette Store. I just love the panel behind the castle with the clouds on it. It gives it a real 3-d effect when you look right at it from the front. The pattern papers I used are from Lawn Fawn-Hello Sunshine 6x6 pad. The sentiment is from the 'Build A Birthday' stamp set from My Scrap Spot. To finish it off I added some pink bling. I really think our granddaughter is going to love this birthday box!!
Have you entered our challenge yet? Well get to that crafty space and get to creating!! You have plenty of time. The link won't close until 10pm, EST tonight!!
Hope ya'll like my Princess Castle box card!!!! :)

Thinking of you.......

Good Tuesday morning!! Can you believe that August is almost over? I'm not ready for the summer to end although I will love the fall crisp in the air.
This just happens to be the mid-point of the current PDE Linky Party and it's time for us of the 'B' Team to show off our creations. If you don't already, the theme is 'Metal Dies or Punches'. I bought this great Spellbinders Die D-Lites called Flutter Tree at Hobby Lobby a little while back and decided it would be perfect on a sympathy card. I did the little butterflies in two colors so I would have some extras. The punched border is from an EK Scallop Scallop Punch. The sentiment on the front is from the Just a Little Encouragement stamp set and the one on the inside is from the Encouraging Thoughts stamp set. These are both from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The pattern bg paper is from AHeidi Grace-Sunshowers 6x6 pad.
I hope you plan on joining us for our Linky Party. Just whip up a great project using 'Metal Dies or Punches' and link it so we can come by and admire it. Can't wait to see what you make!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Congratulations!

Morning everyone!! Hope your weekend was a great one. Mine was most fabulous!!! Spent several days at the beach with my BFF and our hubbies. We were going by ourselves but things worked out for the hubbies to join us the second day we were there. Glad they did!! Great times!!!
Are you ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our wonderfully talented DT Sister Maureen has challenged us this week to make a project with either a dress or dress form on it. I was a little stumped on this one at first. What kind of sentiment would you do with a dress on a card? So I went to searching for dress cuts on my Cricut cartridges. Low and behold, I found this darling little dress on the Baby Steps cartridge. You can find it on page 29. I cut it at 3 inches. I popped it up on this shape that I got from Elegant Edges. It can be found on page 50. I totally failed to write down the size I cut it. And of course I had the perfect sentiment for a darling little dress like this!! It is from the 'Congratulations' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I added some gems from K & Company to give it some bling. On the inside I added the little booties that are cut with this dress and the heart cutout from the front of the dress and some more of the gems. I so love how it turned out and now I know what kind of sentiment you can use on a dress card!!!
How about heading on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sisters have made. I promise you they are awesomeness for sure!!! While you are there check the sidebar for the rules for our challenges then head to your crafty space and create a project with a Cricut cut of a dress or dress form. Can't wait to see what you make!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

May your birthday be.......

Good Monday morning!!! Got back yesterday from a little trip to the beach and boy was it great!!! So relaxing and fun. But now it is back to work and challenges. Today starts the new challenge at Exploring Cricut and More. Our theme is Happy Birthday and must include something sparkly or glittery. Since our daughter-in-laws birthday is this week I decided this was the perfect time to get her card made. This beautiful flower is from the Silhouette Store. It is by Miss Kate Cuttables and is file #64233. I sized it up, but not sure of the measurements. I thought I had guessed just right for an A2 card, but I guessed wrong. So I made a 6x6 card instead. I added some seam binding that I crinkled and dyed. Also some Bubblegum sequins. I brushed the dark edges of the flower and buds and the dark part of the leaves with a Clear Wink of Stella brush to give it a sparkle. I then popped it on one thickness of foam tape. The sentiments are from the 'Build A Birthday' stamp set by My Craft Spot.
Head on over to Exploring Cricut and More and check out the projects that my DT Sisters made. Awesomenss for sure!! Check the sidebar for the rules to our challenges and then head to your crafty space and create a Birthday project with some sparkle or glitter. Can't wait to see what you make. You will have until 10pm, EST, Saturday August 30th to link your project.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Hello Sunshine!

Hey, did you know that today is the start of a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Well, it is. And our wonderfully talented DT Sister Laura is hosting this week. She said to use a Cricut cut of a 'Sun' on our project. I decided to use both my Cricut and my Silhouette this week. Well, to be honest with you, I cheated a little. I already had this cute frog and mat cut out but didn't use it so decided it would work for this card. The sun is from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. You can find it on page 36. I cut it out at 1 1/2 inches. I coated it with Clear Wink of Stella Brush so it would sparkle. The frog is a Miss Kate Cuttables file and the mat is from the Silhouette online store. I coated the eyes with glossy accents and the crown with the Wink of Stella. I added some enamel dots from Doodlebug Design. The sentiment on the front is from the 'Simply Said' stamp set and the inside from the 'Toad-ally Awesome' stamp set. Both of these are from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The pattern paper is some that I pulled out of my scrap bin.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations made by my DT Sisters. Awesomeness for sure!!! While you are there read our rules in the sidebar. Then head to your crafty space and make a project using a Cricut cut of a sun. Can't wait to see what you make!!
I think I will give this card to our son for his birthday. It just happens to be next month.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

School Bus!

Are ya'll ready for school to start back? I think some are already there. Our local schools started Wednesday. The grands weren't all happy about it, but the Moms sure were!!!
Today is my turn to showcase the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut and More. I decided to keep with our challenge theme this week. I found this great School Bus box in the Silhouette Store and just had to cut it to go with my School Bus Box Card. I really like how it turned out. It is by Snapdragon Snippets and is file #64211. I pulled up the tutorial to see how to put this thing together.
Have you entered our current challenge yet? If not, you still have time. Just create a Back to School project and link by 10pm, EST tonight.
Also, check out our daily projects. If you haven't been, you sure are missing out on some awesomeness for sure!!!
Well that is it for me today. I hope ya'll have a great weekend planned. I get to work all weekend. But hey, that's alright. Next weekend I'll be at the beach!!
Hope ya'll like my Bus Box!!!! :)

Happy Birthday Boys!

Morning, morning!! Here we are at the half way point of the PDE 'Kid's Theme' Linky Party. That means you have one more week to create and link a project with a Kid's Theme.  For my project I made a couple of box cards. Two of our grandsons (brothers) play football. One for PeeWees and the other WeeWees. And they both happen to have the #70 on their jerseys!!. And both of their birthdays are next month. So I decided to make a Football Box Card for each of them. This file is by Lori Whitlock and is #60655 in the Silhouette Online Store. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut them out. The only thing that I did different is flip the sides that the helmet and football are on and to flip the papers. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot. I used the Tiny Tags 3 stamp set. I stamped them on a tag that I cut from the Tiny Tags Metal Dies that are also from My Craft Spot.
Hope you are planning to play along with us. Head on over to Pause Dream Enjoy Linky Parties and check out the rules and while you are there be sure to look at what my DT Sisters have made for some inspiration. Awesomenss for sure!!!
Can't wait to see what you make.
Hope ya'll like my box cards!!!! :)

Getting to Know Me Blog Hop

Morning. I was tagged by my friend Gloria. I'm so honored that she thought of me for this hop. Thank you Gloria. I joined Gloria's blog from the very start. She is very talented. We are on Mary's Cardz TV Design Team together. How about heading on over to her blog and checking out her creations. Just go here. You will not be disappointed.

This is a totally different type of blog hop. There are four questions that I will be answering. I'm good at thinking words but not as good about getting them written down. But I will do my best.
1. What am I working on?
I work a lot on design team projects. I work so it is sometimes hard to get any other crafting time
in. I try to make cards that I know I will be needing for occasions, like birthdays, etc. I did make
this card for the fun of it the other day that I haven't shown on my blog. I'm totally in love with
the box cards. I used my Silhouette Cameo to make this one. I know one of our granddaughters
will love getting this card.

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I think everyone's work if different. Each person has their own personality that shows through their work. I love the elaborate layout pages but I don't scrapbook elaborately. I'm more of a simple scrapbooker. Most of my cards are more on the simple side also. But I do like bling and action wobbles and glittery goodness. I just don't use them all of the time.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
Crafting relaxes me and helps me get away from the everyday happenings. I love to just get in my crafty room, look at all of my papers, bling, etc. and think of what I will be creating next. I love to give a homemade card to my family members and friends. Makes me feel good to know that I made it and that they like what I make for them.

4. How does you writing/creating process work?
I'm not really sure how to answer this question. I think about the theme and then what cut I want to use, be it a Cricut, a Silhouette or a SVG cut. And I go from there. Sometimes it doesn't work out like I have it in my head, but most of the time it does. If it doesn't, I toss it in the recyle box and start over. Sometimes I savage it in some way.

I have tagged two wonderfully talented ladies. You will get to know them next Monday, August 18th.

Deanna and I serve on Mary-Cardz TV Design Team together. I love Deanna's style of crafting. She makes the most beautiful things. Head on over to her blog and check it out. You will love what you
see.

Shawnee of Sunshiny Cards

Shawnee is also on Mary's DT. I don't know how she finds time to craft with all she has on her plate. Children and children and children. And then school on top of that. I love Shawnee's style. And I think you will to if you head over to her blog and take a look.

Have a wonderful day everyone!!! :)

Apple for the Teacher

Morning. Hope you had a great weekend and are geared up for another challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our wonderfully talented DT Sister Jaren is hosting this weeks challenge. She has challenged us to use a Cricut cut of an Apple on our project. I decided since it is back to school time that I would make a school related card. I cut the phrase from the Create-A-Friend cartridge. It can be found on page 16. I cut it out at 3 1/2 inches. I did a little doodling and coated the apple with some glossy accents. I brushed on some clear Wink of Stella on the stem and leaf. The bg paper is from the Echo Park-Paper & Glue 6x6 pad. I added some enamel dots in one corner on the front and the inside. The sentiment on the inside is from the 'School Days' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the projects that my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!! While you are there check out the rules for our challenges in the side bar. Then head to your crafty space and create a project with a Cricut cut of an apple on it. Can't wait to see what you make!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Back to School

Back to School-what musical words to some Mom's!!! They were to mine when the kids were starting to get on every ones nerves with their fighting from being around each other for to long. But now, I sure miss those same kids being young and being under foot. Well, I do until I really think hard about it!!!! :)
Our theme for our challenge over at Exploring Cricut and More this week is 'Back to School'. Just make any school related project. I found this great School Bus Box Card in the Silhouette Online Store. It is by Snapdragon Snippets and is file #63813. I totally love the box cards!!! And when I saw this one I knew it was just perfect for our 'Back to School' challenge this week. The kiddies around here will be boarding the school buses come Wednesday morning. Some are ready and some are not!!
I am really thrilled with how this turned out.
Now it is your turn. Head over to Exploring Cricut and More and check out what my DT Sisters have created. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then check the rules in the sidebar and head to your crafty space and create a 'Back to School' project to link. You will have until 10pm, EST, Saturday August 16th to link. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Hope ya'll like my latest box card!!!! :)

Guess that is it for me today. Hope you checked out our blog hop and have entered our challenge. You still have time. Link by 10pm. EST, tonight. Also, don't forget to check the Daily Projects that my DT Sister's present each day. If you don't, you are missing some awesomeness for sure!!!
