St. Patrick's Day

Morning!! Know what day it is? It's Friday and time for a new card challenge at Cardz TV. For this card challenge, Mary wants St. Patrick's Day cards. I'm not into giving St. Patrick's Day cards, but I found this totally adorable pattern at the Silhouette Store called Lucky Pup. File # 38841. I just knew it would make an adorable card. I added Glossy Accents on his eyes, nose and toes, made him some rosy cheeks with freckles and then mounted him up on one thickness of foam tape. I put my sentiment on the inside. It is from the 'Happy Days' stamp set. Mary has the best stamps. And they stamp so wonderfully!! You can get your very own set by going here. The bg paper is open stock at Hobby Lobby.
Head on over to Cardz TV and check out the cards my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Then head to your crafty space and make a St. Patrick's Day card. Just make sure you link it up by noon, EST, March 13th. Who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win a set of Mary's stamps!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Fluttering by..........

Morning!! Are ya'll ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our wonderful DT Sister Maureen is our hostess this week. She has challenged us to use a Cricut cut as a stencil on a card or project. I really had to think about this one, but finally decided that I wanted to use a butterfly. I chose the one on the Indie Art cartridge. I cut it, laid it out of my cardstock with the pieces that cut out on the wings and started spraying it with different colors of Glimmer Mists. I know I used yellow, green, 2 shades of blue, orange, frost shimmer mist and I don't know what else. I so love how it turned out!!! I know there are a few messy places on it, but that's the beauty of it, I think. Where the cutouts were, I filled them in with my Wink Of Stella Silver brush pen. Both sentiments are from the 'Buggy Punnies' stamp set from Robin-My Pink Stamper. I finished my card by adding some faux half white pearls. Now, it's your turn! Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!! Then check out the rules for our challenges in the side bar. Next, head to your crafty space and create a card or project using a Cricut cut as a stencil. Don't forget to link it up by Sunday, March 2nd. We so love seeing what you make.
Hope ya'll like my Butterfly Card!!!! :)

Bag, Box, or 'Tag'

Morning, morning, morning!!!! Did you have a good weekend? Mine was pretty good. Had to work Saturday night, but had an awesome day of worship yesterday in church. Nothing beats being in the house of our Lord. Today begins the last week of February. Can you believe it?! This month has just zoomed by way to fast. It also begins our new challenge at Exploring Cricut. Diane has challenged us to make a 'Bag, Box, or Tag' and to include a ribbon on it. Just make sure you use a Cricut cut. I decided to go with the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More 2 cartridge and make the Butterfly Tag that can be found on p0age 73. I cut it at 4 inches. I added some faux half white pearls and a ribbon and a dobule bow from seam binding that I dyed and crinkled. And that's it. Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out the projects that my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and make either a bag, box or tag using a Cricut cut and link it by 10pm, EST, March 1st. Can't wait to see what you make!!!
Hope ya'll like my tag!!!! :)

Puppy Happy Birthday

I don't seem to get a lot of my cards and things posted that I don't make for a challenge. So I decided to post this birthday card that I made for our daughter for her birthday this past Saturday. I know this darling little puppy doesn't look anything like an English Bulldog (they have two), but I thought it was so cute that it was a good substitute. He came from the Silhouette Store. He is file #40082. I put his head on an action wobble. Haven't used one of those in a while. The sentiment is a wooden stamp that I have in my stash. Hope ya'll like my card!!! Our daughter did!
Have an awesomely wonderful crafty day!!!! :)

President's Day

Happy President's Day!! I'm jealous of you that are off today. I get work. Well, those that are off, enjoy you day. May it be crafty!!!!
Over at Bitten By The Bug 2 our wonderful DT Sister Laura has challenged us to  make a project with a Patriotic theme for President's Day. Now I'm not really good at these holidays like this. And since part of last week was so crazy for me, I just threw a card together. Sorry this isn't my best, but I hope at least one of you will like it.
I used the Designer's Calendar cartridge and my Gypsy Girl. This cut of Washington also had Lincoln  with it. Using my Gypsy Girl I deleted Lincoln so only Washington would cut. 'President's Day' phrase is also from DC. The bg dp is open stock from Hobby Lobby. I didn't put anything on the inside. I know!!! I always finish the insides of my cards, but I didn't this time.
How about heading on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the amazing President's Day projects that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!!! While you are there, check out the rules for our challenges in the right sidebar. Then head to your crafty space and create a project to link up. You have until Sunday Feb. 23rd. Can't wait to see what ya'll make!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Hello Kitty Daily Project & Picture of Blog Hop Candy

Good Saturday Morning Everyone!!!! I hope ya'll have had a great week. I'm on mini vacation, and I've been crafting along with getting some cleaning done. It is my pleasure to share the 'Daily Project' at Exploring Cricut. I have made a 6x6 card using Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. This Hello Kitty can be found on page 49. I cut her and the layers at 4.5 inches. The bg dp is from Recollections-With Love 6x6 pad that I got, I think last year. I didn't center the layers. I decided to line them up along the bottom and right side for a change.  I added some seam binding ribbon with a double bow. To finish off my card I added some little buttons. I didn't put a sentiment on it. I will when I decide what I will use it for.
Did you do our hop? If not, you still have time. Also you have until 10pm, EST tonight to enter our challenge. Just make a new Valentine project using at least one jewel.
Click here to see my hop project and leave a comment to be in the draw for the blog candy.
A picture of the candy is below the picture of my card.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Happy Birthday

Are ya'll ready for the first challenge of the year at  Mary's Cardz TV Card Challenge? I'm ready!!! For challenge #1 Mary asked us to make a Birthday Card. Since I was in need of one for my Mom's birthday at the first of next month, I thought this was perfect timing. My Mom loves hummingbirds. She has so many that visit her every year. I decided to put one on this card for her. This file can be found in the Silhouette Store. It is #26974. I popped it up on one thickness of foam tape. The bg DP is from My Minds Eye-Happier 6x6 pad. The ribbon/bow is some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled. The sentiments are from the 'Make a Wish' stamp set. It is one of Mary's earlier sets, but I just love it. Well, I love all of Mary's stamps. You can check them all out here.
Head on over to Cardz TV and check out the 'Birthday Cardz' that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and create a card. You have until Thursday, Feb. 27th. to link your card. Who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win your very own set of Mary's set. Which set would you choose? Can't wait to see your Birthday Card!!

My Crafty Room

WARNING!!!!! Picture Heavy!!!
This week at Bitten By The Bug 2 we are not doing a challenge. We have decided to share our Crafty Space with ya'll. And we are asking you to share your space with us. I love seeing other spaces so I can get ideas on how to organize my over abundance, hoard, stash of supplies. We will tell you a little about ourselves and how we got started in this great hobby, passion, love of all things crafty.
I started scrapbooking before there was a Cricut or any type of dye cut or embossing machine. I purchased all of my stuff from Walmart. Most of it was papers, stickers and chipboard cutouts. I had everything in a few boxes that I would pull out, set up on the kitchen table and then pack back up when I was through. I started because I wanted our children to have something made by me to remember their childhood. Then our DD, SIL and grands moved in with us while they built their home, so my scrapbooking supplies were packed away. I didn't get back into any crafting for some years. During this time, the Cricut came out. I really wanted one. Bugged hubby forever it seemed like before he broke down and got me the Baby Bug. This was just before the Expression came out. If I had of known they were putting out a new one, I would have waited!!! Took a bit over a year to get one of those!! I decided to turn the front bedroom into my Crafty Room. It has evolved over the years to how it is today. Hopefully this summer I can start on the back bedroom. It will be turned into my Crafty Room. I have some big plans for it. Already running ideas by Hubby.

On this table is where my Expression, Expression 2, Sewing Machine, Cuttlebug and Copic Markers live. The top shelf has tins and a bin that have my embossing folders and die cuts for the Cuttlebug in them. The box/basket on the right has bling in it.

This is craft central. This is just a long folding table. My Silhouette Cameo and Laptop live on one end. I have supplies that I use all the time real handy. Scissors, glitter pens and things like that are right at hands length in mugs. The wire rack under the shelf on the right has my ATG Gun on it. On shelf just above is my glue, glimmer mist, and various other things. The top shelf has my Imagine cartridges, ink pads and various other items.

To the right of my table are bins I bought at Walmart. They are stacked and hold my papers and cardstock. Well, not all of it. But a whole lot. You can only stack just so many of those things since they are plastic.

I have a few stamps. Okay, a lot of stamps. The display shelves are what Hubby has picked up at yard sales over the past few years. The containers with the green tabs on the front house my Cricut cartridges, overlays and booklets. Takes up a lost less room than keeping them in the boxes. Each one holds 16. I have 10. I like 4 spaces having them all full. You can see my Baby Bug in the bottom left hand corner of the picture. Yeah, I still have her!

This is the closet door. Love using a shoe bag to hold my punches. I have my mats for both the Cricut and Cameo on these pegs that end up being behind the bedroom door when it is opened. Easiest way for me to store them and they don't take up shelf space.

This is my Crafty Room. I love it but  am looking forward to designing my new Crafty Room. I will post pictures when that happens.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the crafty spaces of my DT Sister's. Visit their blogs to check out all of the details. Then we would so love for you to link up a picture of your crafty space.
Hope I have given you some ideas on how to organize and I know I will get some good ideas from my DT Sister's and all of you!!!! :)

Valentine's Day Challenge and Blog Hop

Can you believe Valentine's Day is this Friday? Are you ready. Do you have all of your Valentine's made. How about your goodies? If not, how about joining us at Exploring Cricut for our Valentine's Day Challenge and Blog Hop. You are sure to get some great ideas and who knows, you just might win some blog candy, too.
Now, if you came here from Exploring Cricut, then you are on the right track. If you just stopped by, I'm so glad you did and since I'm the first stop of the hop, we would so love for you to join us.
I have a friend that has a sweet little girl that I always send a card to for whatever holiday it is. This is the Valentine Card that I am sending her this year.
She likes Elmo, so I used the Elmo & Friends Holiday cartridge and cut this Elmo from page 22 at 3.5 inches. I think he is just darling. I popped him up on 1 thickness of foam tape. I added some jewels in the top corner and one on the inside. The sentiment on the front is from an Inkadinkado wooden stamp from my stash. The inside sentiment is from the 'Be My Valentine' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I cut extra hearts to put on the inside. A really CAS card to make.
I hope ya'll like my card!!!

Now, the next stop on the hop is my wonderfully talented DT Sister Donna. I just know you are going to love her creation!!!
Now, I can't let this hop go by without offering some blog candy. Check out what I'm offering. All I ask is that you please have a U.S. address. Sorry. And please leave just one comment. I will let random.org pick the winner on Saturday night and will post on Sunday.
Okay, so I totally failed to get a picture on here of the goodies I'm giving as blog candy. So I'll just let it go as, you will like what you get! :)

We hope you plan on joining our challenge. Make sure you use a Cricut cut from any Cartridge and use at least one jewel. Looking forward to seeing what you create for Valentine's Day!!!

Love

Good Tuesday morning everyone!! It's time for a new Linky Party over at Pause Dream Enjoy? Janis has challenged us to use Hearts on our projects for this Linky Party. With Valentine's Day the end of next week, that shouldn't be a problem for us. I decided to make a layout and a card for this challenge. This Silhouette file is called Heart Love. It is file #54660. I hunted through my stash and found this great Daisy Bucket Designs-loves me...loves me not designer paper from 2008 was just perfect for the background of my layout. The designs printed on it meant I didn't have to embellish it much. Just the great Heart Love and the hearts that cut out for the corners of my photo mat. The photo mat dp is also from this same set of papers. For my card, I made the Heart Love smaller to fit on the front of an A2 size card. I used the hearts that cut out of it for the inside. The sentiment is from the 'Be My Valentine' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
I think this will be perfect for Hubby for Valentines. The layout is ready for the picture that will be taken of us at the Valentines Banquet at church. First year we will attend since I've always had to work that night in years past. I'm totally excited. Just got to go shopping for something special to wear now!!
Head on over to Pause Dream Enjoy and check out the creations that my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and create a project with hearts on it and link it up by Feb. 17th. Can't wait to see what you link to our Linky Party!!!
Hope ya'll like my layout and my card!!!! :)

Happy Valentine

Good Morning! Are you ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our talented DT Sister Jayne has challenged us to make a Valentine. And you have to use a heart!! Well, what's a Valentine without a heart?! I decided to go with the Love Struck 2010 cartridge. I cut the conversation hearts. I always liked those thing when I was growing up. Can't stand the taste of them now!! But the grands sure like them! I'm sorry, but I totally forgot to write down the size I cut them at. The inside sentiment is from a wooden stamp that I have in my stash. A real CAS card.
Why don't cha head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations that my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!! While you are there, look in the sidebar and read the rules for our challenges. Then how about heading on to your crafty space and make a project and link it up by Sunday, February 9th. So looking forward to seeing your Valentine.
Hope ya'll like mine!!!! :)

I wanted to share the card I made for my Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. I just love this little puppy cut from the Sweethearts cartridge. Love the heart over the eye. I cut this little cutie at 3 inches. I love the 'Puppy Love' phrase. The sentiment on the inside is from a wooden stamp that I have in my stash. The pattern bg paper was also in my stash.

If not, you still have time! Get to creating a Cricut Choice project using 2 Cricut cuts, the color blue and pattern paper. Then link it by 10pm EST tonight.
