Happy 2014

I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas!! We sure did. Wonderful time spent with family.
Are you ready for the last challenge of the year for Exploring Cricut? Also, I don't usually combine my challenges or anything. But we are having a Linky Party at Bitten By The Bug 2 and both of the themes has to do with New Years. Exploring Cricut is to make a card, layout, or papercraft celebrating a New Year and our Linky Party at BBTB2 is to make a New Year's Card. I don't send New Year's cards out so I just wanted to make the one. I used the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge and cut the Baby New Year. It can be found on the #3 spot on the overlay. I cut the bear and all of the New Year's layers at 3.5 inches. I went to Hobby Lobby in search of New Year's paper but couldn't find any so I used the fireworks paper that I had from the 4th of July. I used my Grand Scalloped Oval die cut and my Big Kick and cut the oval to mount my Baby New Year on. I popped it and the bear up on one thickness of foam tape. I put my sentiment on the inside. It is from the 'Classic Christmas' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. We hope you intend to join us for our challenge at Exploring Cricut. You will have until Saturday, January 4th at 10pm EST to link up your new New Year's project. Also, we would so love for you to join in our Linky Party at Bitten By The Bug 2. Just link your card and wish each other a Happy New Year!!!
I'm so looking forward to seeing your New Year's projects!!! Head on over to Exploring Cricut and Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!
Have a wonderful and safe New Year's!!!! :)

Another Gift Tag

Good Monday morning all of my Crafty Friends!!! I would usually be saying, 'Are you ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2', but we aren't having a challenge this week. We are posting Gift Tags again, but this time just for inspiration. I once again used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 to make my tag. I cut the snowflake from the Christmas Noel cartridge. It can be found at the #49 spot on the overlay. I cut it at 3.25 inches. I cut three so I could stack them and give it some strength so I could pop it up on the tag. I spritz the snowflake real good with some Frost Shimmer and then the last little bit of Sparkle Shimmer Spritz that I had. The sentiment is from the 'Very Merry' stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. The bow is from some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled. The designer paper was in my stash. I sure hope you plan on heading over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and checking out the tags that my DT Sister's have made. Awesomeness for sure!!!!
Hope ya'll like my tag!!! :)
Merry Christmas all of my Crafty Friends!!!

I'm really trying to get the hang of this new camera I got. Hopefully soon!!! :)

Noel

Happy Saturday!!! Christmas is almost here!! Just a few more days!! I'm excited. Are you?! I'm honored to have the Daily Project today at Exploring Cricut. I have made another Christmas card. For this one I went with a 6x6 size. I cute the Noel from the Christmas Noel cartridge. It is cut at 4.5 inches. I lost a couple of small pieces so I used tiny red bling for the berries. The bg paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby. I added some bling in the corner and on the inside. My sentiments are also on the inside. I used the 'Holly Jolly' and the 'Home For Christmas' stamp sets. They are from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. Mary has awesome stamp sets!!!
I hope you have been checking our the daily projects that my DT Sister's have been presenting. If not, you sure are missing out on some awesomeness for sure!!! Also, have you entered our 'It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas' challenge? If not, you still have time. Just make a new Christmas project using any Cricut cartridge and any colors. You have until 10pm, EST, tonight to link it.
Hope ya'll like my Christmas Card!!!! :)

Gift Tag

Morning Everyone!! Hope all is well with you. My talented DT Sister Laura has challenged us to a 'Gift Tag Challenge' this week at Bitten By The Bug 2. This wasn't the first tag that I made for this challenge. I had made some small ones to use on the presents we're giving, but I got an idea churning in my head and I just had to redo my tag. Used Tags, Bag, Boxes and More 2 for the tag. It can be found on page 53. Using my Gypsy Girl, I made it 5.25 high x 4.25 wide. I love the scalloped top. I cut one in white and one in this Echo Park cardstock that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. It is in their open stock. I then cut this great church from the Christmas Noel cartridge. It can be found on the #45 spot on the overlay. Before I added the snow pieces and the snowy parts of the church, I sprayed them with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Love the sparkle it gave it without having glitter on my tag. I hope you can see it in the picture. The sentiment stamp is from the 'Joy Filled Christmas' stamp set from My Craft Spot. I'm loving this set. The sentiments are just wonderful. The bow is made with some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the tags that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!!!! While you are there, look in the sidebar for the rules for our challenges. Then head on to your craft space and create a new gift tag using a Cricut cut and link it by Sunday, December 22. Can't wait to see what you make!!
Hope you like my tag!!!! :)

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas

Morning!!! Hope your weekend was great. Today starts a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. Our challenge today is to make a card, layout or paper craft for Christmas, because 'It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas'!!!
I decided this challenge called for a layout. I started with this great bg. This is from an old Me & My Big Ideas pack. I've had it a while. All of my cuts are from the Teresa Collins-Dec. 25th cartridge. The 'Merry Christmas' was cut at 2.5 inches. The silhouette of Santa and Reindeer was cut at 2 inches and the Tree was cut at 5 inches. I cut the photo mats from Spellbinders Grand Label's Four. The 'Dec 25' is from the 'Very Merry' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. Mary has the most awesome stamps that you can ever get!!!
Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out the projects my DT Sister's created. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and create a new Christmas project using any Cricut  Cartridge. You will have until 10pm, EST, Saturday, December 21st to link it.

Winter Is On The Way

Good Monday morning!!! Are you ready for the new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our hostess this week is yours truly. Yep, me. Since winter is right upon us and I know there are those that have been enduring winter weather for weeks now, I decided to issue the challenge for you to make a winter project. I made a layout in preparations of us maybe having some snow this year. Now mind you, I hope we don't, but you never know. I didn't want all of my snowmen to look alike, so I cut the one on the left from the Christmas Cheer cartridge. I cut him at 3.75 inches. He is on page 122. The middle one is from Doodlecharms cartridge. He is on page 82 and I cut him at 2.5 inches. The one on the right is from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. You can find him on page 77 and I cut him at 3 inches. I used faux half black pearls for their eyes. The tree is from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I cut it at 7.5 inches. I'm sorry, I failed to make note which page it is on. I cut the snowdrifts by hand. I then sprayed Sparkle Shimmer Spritz to give it some sparkle. The photo mat paper is from the Recollections paper pad called Jolly Holiday. I got it last year after Christmas.
Please head over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the projects that my DT Sister's created. Awesomeness for sure!!! While you are there look in the sidebar for the rules for our challenges. Then head on into your crafty room and create a new Winter Project using Cricut cuts. You have until Sunday, December 15th to link your project. Can't wait to see your Winter Projects.
Hope ya'll like my layout!!!! :)

Winter Fun

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!! Hope all is well with you. Are you ready for a new challenge at Paper Playtime? I know I am. Janis has challenged us to make a project featuring Winter Fun.
Now, my idea of winter fun is staying inside when it's cold outside!!
I hunted through the Silhouette Store and found this great Winter House. It is #5059. I thought it would make a great Christmas card. I coated all of the snow and the snowmen with Star Dust Stickles. The designer paper I used is from Nikki Sivils. If you look closely, you can see some stars on it. I thought it fit perfectly with my cut.
Why don't you head on over to Paper Playtime and check out what my DT Sister's have created. Awesomeness for sure!!! And while you are there check out the guidelines for our challenges in the sidebar. Than head to your crafty space and create a project with some 'Winter Fun'! You have until Sunday, December 22nd. to link. You could be the lucky one to win the $10 online gift certificate that our sponsor Lucy is giving to her Close to My Heart store. But you have to link up a project before you can have a chance to win!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

From Our House........

Today is my day to present the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. I made a really simple card for today. I'm not sure I am pleased with it though. The concept in my head was great, but it on the card isn't the same. But I'm going with it anyways!!!
I wanted to make a door. I used George and Basic Shapes to cut it out. I used the rectangle shape and the square shape for the window. Using my Gypsy Girl I made them the size I wanted to fit an A2 card. The wreath is from the Christmas Noel cartridge. I cut it at 1.5 inches. I added some tiny red bling for berries and a black faux half pearl for the door knob. I put my sentiments on the inside. The top on is from the 'Holly Jolly' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps and the bottom one is from the 'Joy Filled Christmas' stamp set from My Craft Spot. That is it for me today.
I hope you have been checking out the daily projects each week. If not, you sure are missing some awesomeness for sure!!! Also, you still have time to enter our 'Christmas Card' challenge. Just create a new Christmas Card using any Cricut Cartridge and any colors, and link it by 10pm tonight. \
Hope ya'll like my simple Christmas Card!!!! :)

Winter Wonderland

Good Morning!!! Are you ready for a new Linky Party with the Cardz TV Go-to Galz? With winter right upon us and some places already dealing with the white stuff, we are having a Winter Wonderland Linky Party. Create a winter wonderland scene in your project. Oh how fun!! Snow on paper and not outside!!! I've made a layout for my project. Just in case we do get some of the white stuff, I'll be ready. I used my Silhouette Cameo. The Polar Bears Building a Snowman is #49783 and the tree is #23026. I'm not sure if you can tell it in the picture, but I used Star Clear Gelly Roll pen at the top of the snow on the tree. I also used blue and light pink Wink of Stella glitter pen on the pom pom and the center of the bow. These can be bought at Amazon.com. I used Sparkle Shimmer Spritz all over my layout to give it sparkle. Hope you can tell. Then I added my photo mat and sentiment mat. The sentiment is from the 'Snow Day' stamp set. Mary has so many awesome sets. Head on over here and check them all out. I hand cut the snowdrift. Ok, that is it.
Head on over to Cardz TV and check out the projects that my Linky Sister's have made. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty space and get to creating!! You will have until Dec. 19th to link up your project for a chance to win a set of Mary's most awesome stamps!!! So looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Gift Container

Good Monday morning my wonderful crafty friends!! Hope all is well with you and that you had a wonderful weekend. Are you ready for our new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our most fabulous leader Susan is our hostess this week. She has challenged us to make a Holiday Gift Container.
I started out making a box and decided that I just didn't like it. So back to the drawing board, or Gypsy Girl, I went. I decided on a bag instead. I found this most fabulous DP at Hobby Lobby in their open stock. It is from Echo Park. I just love it. It is two sided and I like both sides but my favorite is the side with the stars on it. Makes me think of the Christmas Star. I didn't make note of the size I cut the bag, but I made it fit to page. The poinsettias are from the Winter Woodland cartridge. You can find it on page 40. I cut them at 2.25 inches. I didn't cut the center piece because I wanted to use bling instead. I glued one to the bag and popped the other one up on one thickness of foam tape. The bow is some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled. The tag is from the Tiny Tags Metal Die and the sentiment is from the 'Joy Filled Christmas' stamp set. Both of these are from My Craft Spot. Kimberly has some great die sets and wonderful stamp sets.
Would love for you to head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!!! And while you are over there, check out the rules for our challenges in the sidebar. Then why don't you head to your crafty space and create a new Holiday Gift Container using a Cricut Cut and link it by Sunday, December 8th. I so love seeing what you come up with.
Hope ya'll like my Gift Container!!!! :)

It can be found on the #36 sport on the overlay. I cut it and it's shadow at 3.5 inches. The bg paper is from Echo Park that I got at Hobby Lobby. The sentiments are from the 'Joy Filled Christmas' stamp set by My Craft Spot. Kimberly has some wonderful stamp sets. That is it. See, I told you it was CAS.
