Christmas Card

Hello! Did ya have a good weekend? Hope so. Are ya ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? The fabulous Michelle is our hostess this week. She has issued a Christmas Card Challenge. Make a Holiday card. Just make sure you use a Cricut image.
I decided to go simple with this card. I have this great paper pad from Recollections called Holly Day Wishes. I picked it up last year. I picked out this piece with the ornaments in the corner to accent my card. I cut the poinsettias from the Christmas cartridge at 3.35 inches. (I designed it on my Gypsy Girl) The sentiments are from the 'Christmas Joy' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I used some clear bling in the center of the poinsettias. That's it. Simple and quick.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and take a look at what my DT Sister's created. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there check out the rules for our challenges in the sidebar. Then head to your crafty space and create a new Holiday card using a Cricut cut and link it by Sunday, December 1st. Looking forward to seeing your Holiday card!
Hope ya'll like my Christmas card!!!! :)

Anything Goes

WOW-can you believe that Thanksgiving is this Thursday?! This month is almost gone. But before it is, we have a new challenge for you over at Paper Playtime. Our wonderfully awesome leader Janis has challenged us to an 'Anything Goes' challenge. Whoo Hoo!!! Now nobody has any kind of excuse not to join in on the fun!! Just head on over to Paper Playtime, check out the projects that my DT Sister's made-Awesomeness for sure-and check the sidebar of the guidelines for our challenges.
I've had this cut in my file for my Cameo since I first got it just waiting for Christmas to come so I could make a card from it. It can be found in the Silhouette Store. It's number 5748. I so love it!!
I used some Diamond Stickles on the stars. I added a clear rhinestone flourish to finish off my card. The designer paper is from Harmonie. The inside sentiment is from the 'Classic Christmas' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
I hope you plan on joining us for our challenge. You just might be the lucky winner of a $20 gift card to Too Cute by Jessica. You have until Sunday, December 8th to link your project.
I hope ya'll like my 'Joy' card!!!! :)

All I want for Christmas is...

I hope ya'll have great plans for this fine weekend. I'm at work, but that's okay. I'll be home in a while. It is my pleasure to showcase the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut today. I'm still trying to get a few Christmas cards made. I used the Create a Critter 2 cartridge and cut the Christmas tree from page 65 at 4.25 inches. I cut the puppy and bone from page 71 at 2 inches. The bg paper is some I've had in my stash for years. I used some Crystal and Star Dust Stickles on the ornaments, star and the Santa hat. The sentiment is from the 'Very Merry' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. And that's it. I hope ya'll have been following our Daily Projects. If you haven't, then you have been missing some awesomeness for sure!!! Also, you still have time to enter our 'Count Your Blessing' challenge. You have until 10pm, EST tonight to link up. Count Your Blessings

Good Monday morning! Hope ya'll had a great weekend and are now ready for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut.
Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week. I am so ready for some turkey and dressing and cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie and all of the awesome trimmings!!! Now I'm gonna have to figure out where I'm gonna get it at since I have to work Thanksgiving day. :(
With Thanksgiving in mind, Diane has issued the 'Count Your Blessings' challenge. Just make a card, layout or paper craft celebrating Thanksgiving. This go around I decided to make a layout. Using the Create a Critter cartridge I cut the title(3 inches), turkey(3.5 inches) and pumpkin(3.5 inches) from page 62. The Corn(2.5 inches), Pie(3.5 inches) and phrase(2.75) from page 64. The pattern papers are from sei-nutmeg 12x12 cardstock pad that I've had for a few years. I cut a Nestabilities Scalloped Oval using my Big Shot to mount the phrase on. I'm please with how it turned out.
Now it is your turn. Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out the awesomeness that my DT Sisters have created. And while you are there check out the rules for our challenges in the sidebar. Then head to your crafty space and create a new project to enter in our challenge You have until 10pm, EST, Saturday, November 23rd to link it up.
Hope ya'll like my layout!!! :)

Christmas Candy Display Part Two

Are ya'll ready to see the Christian side of the display? Now, I have to warn you, this one is really picture heavy. Lots of pictures. I got all of my cuts done and decorated this side and had a space at each end that I didn't have anything to put there. So when I went home, I cut some more. Now, it took me there abouts 3 days to cut the cuts, put them together and decorate the display. Both sides.
The boss is totally thrilled with how I decorated the Christmas Candy Display. Guess I'll have to start thinking up what to do for Valentine's pretty soon.
Hope ya'll like this side, too. :)

This is #23546. I cut one for both ends of the display.

I am so pleased with this side. I love it!!! The Designer Cardstock is from Echo Park. Yeah, I got it at Hobby Lobby. It's part of their open stock! Thought it was perfect for this side and the ends.

The boss mentioned that he had seen a picture somewhere with Santa bowing and worshiping Jesus and he had his toy sack with him. I knew that I needed to fill this end with this cut. The Baby Jesus, Santa and Star are #36249 and his sack is #4115. The Joy To The World is # 4678.

Ahhhh the Nativity. My most favorite cuts. The little sheep #5186. The Wise Men #'s 5468, 5469 and 5470. The Angel #5728. The Cow #5184. Mary, Baby Jesus and Joseph #4912. The Star #35777. The Shepherd #5139. The Camel #6034. And the Donkey #5185.

O Holy Night #4684. Peace on Earth #35020.

Christmas Candy Display Part One

Well, I wrote up this post, scheduled it and was expecting it to go live today, and it has disappeared!! Haven't a clue when it went. So I'm writing it again. When I posted the Halloween Candy Display that I decorated, I said I was going to do the Christmas one, too. And that I would show ya'll what I came up with. Well, here is one side of it. This is the commercial side. The other side is the Christian side with the true meaning of Christmas. That post should (I sure hope so) show up tomorrow. So come back by and let me know what you think of it.
I used files I purchased from the Silhouette Store and cut on my Cameo for all of my cuts.
The snowflakes are from different files. Some had several snowflakes and I used only one and the other two are from single files. Sorry, I didn't make note of the numbers. I just typed in snowflakes in the search.
I free cut the snowdrifts and then used some Doodlebug Design-Sugar Coating-Lily White Glitter for sparkly snow.
I like how it turned out. I think all of the cuts are really cute.
Hope ya'll like it!!! :)

Peace on Earth

Morning my awesome crafty friends!! Hope you are ready for a new challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our most fabulous DT Sister Julie is our hostess for this week. She has asked us to make a White on White Christmas card or project. I was so afraid that this was going to be a hard challenge, but it really wasn't. I just thought about what is naturally white and went from there. I used the Noah's ABC Animals cartridge to cut my dove. It is on page 83 and I cut it at 3.75 inches. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the mat. I'm sorry, but I haven't a clue what this one is called. I used my Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen and dotted the centers of the snowflakes. Both sentiments are from the 'Classic Christmas' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the projects that my DT Sisters have made. Awesomeness for sure!!! While you are there, check the rules for our challenges in the sidebar.
Then head to your crafty space and create a White on White project and link by Sunday, Nov. 17th.
So looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Sparkle

It's time for a new challenge at Paper Playtime and Janis has challenged us to 'Sparkle'!! Make a project with some sparkle to it. Since I wanted to get a head start on some Christmas cards, I thought why not. I can make one sparkle. I hunted through the Silhouette Store until I found this great North Pole sign. It is # 15131. I coated all of the snow and icicles in Frosted Lace Stickles. 'Sparkle'!!! The designer paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle. I've had it a little while. I thought it was just perfect. The inside sentiment is from the 'Christmas Joy' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out what my DT Sister's have created. Awesomeness for sure. And while you are there check in the sidebar for the guidelines for our challenges. Then head on to your crafty space and create a 'Sparkle' creation and link it by Sunday, November 24th. Who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win the prize this time. Mary of Cardz TV fame is our sponsor. She will be giving a set of her most awesomely wonderful stamps. You can check them out here.
Hope ya'll like my North Pole card!!!! :)

Rocking around the Christmas tree

Hello! Hope ya'll had a great week and have a wonderful weekend planned. I'm here to show you what I made for my 'Daily Project' at Exploring Cricut. I decided to keep with my challenge card and make another Christmas card for my stash. This time I made a 6x6 card. I tend to make that size when I use the licensed cartridges since they have some tiny pieces. I went with the Elmo & Friends Holiday cartridge. I cut Big Bird that is on page 57. I cut him at 5 inches. I think he is so cute. And I know just who I'll be sending this card to. The bg paper is from the Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) Sant & Friends 6x6 pack. And the sentiments are from the 'Holly Jolly' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I used some bling that I got at Hobby Lobby. And to finish off my card, I put Big Bird on an action wobble!!! I just love those things!!
I hope you have been keeping a check on the daily projects each day. My DT Sisters always make the most awesomest projects. Also, you still have time to enter our Cricut Choice challenge. You have until 10pm, EST, tonight to link up a new project.
Have a wonderful weekend!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Prize Box for Work

The boss decided that we would have a Thanksgiving give-a-way for our employees. And he wanted me to make a box for the employees to put their entry in. I scoured work until I found the perfect box. I hit Hobby Lobby with work money (love spending someone else's money!) and bought quite a few things. I purchased the stuff I needed for the Christmas Candy Display Decorations while I was there. (Those posts will show up next week. Be on the lookout for them.) The paper I covered the box with is open stock. Hobby Lobby just didn't have a big selection of open stock Thanksgiving paper. But I like this one and so did the boss. I then went to the Silhouette Store and started hunting cuts.
The boss was thrilled with it.
Hope ya'll like my box!!! :)

This is #50839. I cut extra of the acorn and leaves. This is the front of the box

This darling turkey is #48204. I think he is adorable! This is one side.

On the other side is this great pumpkin. It is #46704.

Football

Are you ready for the new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our fearless and awesome leader Susan is our hostess this week. She has challenged us to a Football Challenge. Make a man project she said. Well, I'm not really real good at makes men projects and I almost didn't join in on this one. But I kept thinking about it and decided to make a box. I used Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge. This box is on pg. 19. I made it fit to page. Then I used my 3 Birds on Parade cartridge and made this cute football bird. He can be found on page 51. I cut him out at 2.5 inches. The helmet and football on the sides were also from this cartridge, but I failed to write down the sizes that I cut them. The paper I covered my box in is open stock at Hobby Lobby. The tag on the top is cut from the 'Tiny Tags Metal Dies' from My Craft Spot. The sentiment on the tag is from the 'This 'n' That' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I tied some Cappuccino Twine from The Twinery on the tag.
Now it's your turn. Head over to Bitten by The Bug 2 and check out the projects that my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!! And while you are there, check the sidebar for the rules to our challenges. Then head to your crafty space and create a new Football Man Project. You have until Sunday, Nov. 10 to link up. Can't wait to see what you make!
Hope ya'll like my box!!!! And by the way, we 'ARE NOT' Alburn fans. Our son-in-law, daughter and their children are. This box will be used for one of the grandsons.  :)

Let it Snow!

Now I really don't want it to snow. Well, not snow and stay. A little white stuff coming down and melting is more my style! Today starts the latest challenge at Exploring Cricut. Diane has issued the Cricut Choice challenge!! You can use any cartridge(s) that you like, but your project has to have one pattern paper, 2 cricut cuts and 3 colors. I wanted to get started on my Christmas cards so I decided to go with the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. I just love this little snowman. He can be found on page 77. I cut him at 4 inches. The snowflakes are from the Lacy Labels cartridge. They are in the #14 spot on the overlay. I cut them at, well doggone it, I didn't write it down! Sorry about that!! I sprayed then with Frost and Sparkle Shimmer Mists. The bg paper is from the Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) Santa & Friends 6x6 pack. The sentiments (inside and out) are from the 'Holly Jolly' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Head over to Exploring Cricut and check out the projects that my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!! And while you are over there, check out the rules for our challenges in the sidebar. Then head to your crafty space and created a new project to link up by Saturday, Nov. 9th, 10 pm EST.
Can't wait to see what you make!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
