Trick or Treat

Halloween is almost here! Can you believe it?! Where did October go? Bet you have some kind of an idea what our theme this week is for Bitten By The Bug 2. Our most wonderful DT Sister Jayne is our hostess this week and she has challenge us to use any Cricut Halloween cut. Now you have a chance to make that last Halloween project that you need! I had a totally different card made for this challenge. But the more I looked at it, the less I liked it. I just didn't like it at all, so I made this card.
I used the Elmo & Friends Holiday cartridge and cut the Elmo on page 41. I cut him at 4.75 inches. The bg paper is from My Mind's Eye. The sentiment on the front is from the More Spooky Sayings stamp set. The one on the inside is from the Trick or Treat stamp set. Both of these sets are from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. To finish off my card, I put Elmo on an action wobble!!! This card is going to a friends little girl who loves Elmo. She loves the wobble cards that I send her.
I hope you plan on joining us for our challenge. How about heading on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!!! And while you are there, look at our challenge rules in the sidebar. Then head on to your crafty space and create a project and link it by Sunday, November 3rd. So looking forward to seeing what you make.
Hope ya'll like my Elmo card!!!! :)

Here Elmo is wobbling along to collect some more Halloween candy!!

Googlie Eyes

Good Morning my awesome crafty friends!! Hope ya had a great weekend. Are you ready for a new challenge at Paper Playtime? We have a super fun one for you! Use Googlie Eyes on your project. Told ya it is a super fun one didn't I?! And I had the most fun making my project.
Warning!!!!! Picture heavy post!!!!
My boss wanted me to decorate the Halloween Candy display at work. He sent me to Hobby Lobby to purchase some Halloween fabric to cover the top. I also purchase some tulle to tie on the ends. It looked good but left me feeling like I had to do more. I came home and got to hunting in the Silhouette Store for some Halloween cuts. I found this cut trio set. It's #33323. I just love them!
I cut eight of each. I didn't cut the center of their eyes as I used googlie eyes instead. I am so pleased with how this turned out. And my boss. He loves it!!!! My next decorating project will be when the Christmas Candy comes in at the first of November. I'll be sure to post photos of that one, too.
Now, we sure hope you plan on joining us. All you need is some googlie eyes on your project. See the rest of the guidelines to our challenges at Paper Playtime. And while you are there check out the creations my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!!! You have until November 11th to link you project.
Hope ya'll like my Googlie Eyes Project!!!! :)

The frost is on the pumpkin!

I so love Fall. It and Spring are my most favorite seasons. The air isn't hot but not cold either. Just perfect for my liking. Today is my day to have the honor of presenting the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. I used the Simply Scarecrows cartridge to cut my scarecrow. It and it's layers can be found at the #5, 15, 25, 35 & 45 spots on the overlay. I cut it at 3 inches. The pumpkins were cut from the Create-a-Critter cartridge. It can be found on page 70 and I cut them at 1 inch. I added a little bit of Crystal Stickles to the top of the pumpkins and scarecrow for the 'frost'. The sentiments are from the 'Fall Fun' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
I sure hope you have been checking out the Daily Projects at Exploring Cricut. If you haven't, you sure are missing some awesomeness for sure!!! Also, you still have time to get a new Halloween project made and join our current challenge. It ends at 10pm, EST tonight. Hope to see your project there.
Well, that's it for me today. I sure hope ya'll like my scarecrow card!!!! m:)

Halloween

Halloween is almost here. Can't wait to see the little ones in their costumes. So much fun!! Our theme for this challenge is, you guessed it-Halloween!! And the clinker to this challenge is you can only use the colors black, orange and/or purple. The Cardz TV Go-to Galz Linky Party is going to be so much fun with all this Halloween going on!! Make a new Halloween project and join us!! And if you need some inspiration, head on over to Cardz TV and check out the projects that my DT Sisters have made. Awesomeness for sure!!!
I decided to make some treat bags for my project. I found these at the Silhouette Store. The spider bag is #48683, the cat bag is #48676 and the bat bag is #48675. I used some solid twine from The Twinery. I used Mandarin, Charcoal and Lilac. I used Mary's 'Going in Circles' stamp set for these.
You will have until noon, EST on Nov. 7th to link up your project.
Hope ya'll like my little treat bags!!!! :)

Don't know why this  bag looks yellowy. It is orange. I promise!!!! :)

The circle looks yellowy here. It is orange, too!! :)

Pumpkin Time

Good Morning!! It's if feeling like Fall where you're at? It sure is here and I'm loving it!!! I love it being cool enough to just wear long sleeves but not a jacket. Are you ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our most fabulous DT Sister Caroline is our hostess this week. She has challenged us to make a card or project with a pumpkin on it. I decided to make a layout. Yeah, a layout instead of a card!! I used Freshly Picked cartridge for the Pumpkins. I cut 3 at 4.75 inches and 2 at 4.25 inches and 1 at 2.25 inches. I used Pop-Up Neighborhood to cut the Wagon. I cut it at 4.5 inches. The pattern paper that I used for the photo mats are open stock at Hobby Lobby. I will use the space on the hay for my journaling. The sentiment at the top is from the 'Thankful for You' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I did a little bit of doodling on the pumpkin leaves.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the projects that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there check out our challenge rules in the sidebar. Then head to your crafty space and create a project using a Cricut cut of a pumpkin. You have until Sunday, Oct. 27th to link.
Hope ya'll like my layout!!!! :)

Happy Halloween!!

It is Monday and it's time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. Diane issued us the challenge of creating a card, layout or paper craft for Halloween using our favorite Cricut cuts and include at least two cuts. I went with the Trick or Treat Lite Cartridge. I cut the Treat Bag that can be found at the #38 spot on the overlay. I cut it at 3.5 inches. I then cut the Candy that is at the #39 spot on the overlay at 1.5 inches. I cut all of the layers including the shadow. I haven't had this cartridge very long and things seem to go together kinda funny. But I like it anyway. The outside sentiment is from the 'Candy Corn Kisses' stamp set from My Craft Spot. This set was blog candy that I won from my wonderful friend Sherrie. Thank you Sherrie!!! The inside sentiment is from the 'Trick or Treat' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The bg paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby that I've had a year or two.
Head over to Exploring Cricut and check out the projects that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!!!! And while you are there, check the sidebar for our challenge rules. We sure hope you plan on joining us. We so love to see what you create. You will have until 10pm, EST, Saturday, Oct. 26th to link your project.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Awareness Month

Good Morning! Hope you had a great weekend and are ready for another great challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our wonderfully talented DT Sister Brenda is our hostess this week. She has challenge us to make a project to support a health awareness. It can be breast cancer, lupus, leukemia, etc. You pick for your project.
I have two cards for you today.
The first is for Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that results in a chronic, systemic inflammatory disorder that may affect many tissues and organs, but principally attacks flexible (synovial) joints. It can be a disabling and painful condition, which can lead to substantial loss of functioning and mobility if not adequately treated.
It can attack just one area of joints like your fingers and hands, or your feet, ankles and toes, knees, elbows and even your neck.
It can be a silent and hidden condition. Anyone you meet in life could have RA and you may not know it.
I used Stand and Salute cartridge on both of my cards. I cut the ribbon at 5 inches and another at a 5.25 inches. The designer papers are from the Kathy Davis-Poppies-6x6 pad. RA's ribbon is Blue and Gold.

My second card if for Fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia (FM or FMS) is characterised by chronic widespread pain and allodynia (a heightened and painful response to pressure). Its exact cause is unknown but is believed to involve psychological, genetic, neurobiological and environmental factors.
When you have a flare up with Fibromyalgia, you feel like you have the flu. If you have ever had the 'real' flu, where you body aches so bad you can't hardly stand yourself, that is how fibro feels during a flare up.
Fibromyalgia's ribbon colors are two shades of purple. A light and a darker. I used the 'Believe in Miracles' stamp set from Scrappy Moms.

Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia can be partners. Some people have both. But it doesn't mean that everyone that has RA will have Fibro and vise versa.
I know a lot about both because I have both of them myself. I have RA in every joint of my body. A lot of people don't know. Because as I said it can be a silent and invisible condition. I have an awesome rheumatologist. He is also a researcher. Working to find a cure. I am on good meds. I also take a shot every week. Hubby gives me my shot. I thank him every time for hurting me because I know it is what helps keep me going.
RA and Fibro are manageable. You can live a good life with both.
Because God has this and he helps me keep going every day, I know that I will do just fine!!!
If you know anyone with RA and/or Fibro, please be patient with them. Some days it is hard to get going and some days it's  hard to keep going. They can be slow to walk, slow in doing things and sometimes can be cranky. Just look past all of this and look into their heart.
We need to pray for the elderly that have RA and/or Fibro. Medicare doesn't pay much for the more aggressive medicines like the shot that I take. I can not imagine how they get by each day with their pain. But yeah, I do know how. God carries them. But it is a real shame that our elders aren't helped better than they are. The reason I'm still working is for the awesome insurance that I have.
Okay, I think I've rattled on enough. I don't usually open up like this. I'm too much of a private person. I don't like to complain nor do I ever want anyone to feel sorry for me. There are others that are way worse off than I am and don't have the help that I have. Those are the ones that I feel for in my heart.
I hope you will head over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the Awareness projects that my DT Sister's have made. Awesomeness for sure!!!! And while you are there, check out our challenge rules in the sidebar. Then head to your crafty space and create an Awareness project using a Cricut cut. You have until Oct. 20th to link. We all seem to be effected by something in ours or a loved ones life. And we all need to be 'Aware'!! I am so looking forward to seeing what each of you create.
Hope ya'll like my cards!!!! :)

Thank You

Thank you for coming by and visiting me. I so love it when you do. Today starts a new challenge at Paper Playtime. We were asked to use ribbon and buttons on our project. Well, I needed a thank you card so I went to hunting in the Silhouette store for one to cut. I found this one by Lori Whitlock. It is called Bracket Thank You Card and is #36698. It took me a whole lot longer to pick what to cut and the papers to use than it did to cut and put this card together. I pulled this piece of cardstock out of my stash. Love the Autumn colors. Then I put cut two of the inside pieces. One to go behind the front so you can see the cutout of the 'thank you' and the ribbon. Then I cut a couple more an smaller sizes to layer. The buttons are from my stash. They are from last year and are studio g buttons. Super simple and would be quick if I didn't take forever picking out papers, card!!! Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out the creations my DT Sister's made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! And while you are there, check out what our guidelines are for our challenges in the side bar. Then head to your crafty space make something using ribbon and buttons. You have until Sunday, October 27th to link up your project. And you know, you just might be the lucky one to win the $10 online gift certificate that Lucy is sponsoring this week. But ya gotta enter to have a chance to win!!
Hope ya'll like my Thank You card!!!! :)

Howdy Partner!

Morning everyone!! So glad you stopped by. I have the pleasure of presenting todays Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. I decided to stay with our Blog Hop and challenge theme and made another birthday card. I used the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge again. This time cutting Cowboy 2. He can be found on page 53. I cut him at 3.5 inches. I used the same bg paper and buttons as before. Love how you can use some of the same things and just one or two things different and have another great card. The sentiments are once again from the 'Country at Heart' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Have you hopped with us and joined our challenge? If not, you still have time. You have until 10pm, EST tonight to link a project.

a sign of the season

Good morning my crafty friends!!! Hope ya'll had a great weekend. I sure did. Well part of it anyways. On Saturday we attended our church picnic and then that evening we went and watched two of the grandsons play football. Yesterday I worked. But still a good weekend.
We have a great challenge for you this week at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our wonderfully talented leader Susan is our hostess this week. She has challenged us to make any project using a Cricut cut of a maple leaf. I know there is a great one on the Art Philosophy cartridge, but since I don't have that one, I went a hunting and found one on the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge. It can be found on page 52. I cut them at 1.5 inches. The swirls are from the Cricut Alphabet cartridge. I cut those at 1.75 inches. I can't seem to be able to find my cartridge, so I don't have a page number for you. I designed my card on my Gypsy Girl. I used some Star Dust Stickles on the leaves. The sentiments are from the 'Fall Fun' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The bg paper is from my stash.
I hope you have plans to join us for our challenge this week. If you are, head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the rules for our challenges in the sidebar. And while you are there, check out the creations my DT Sisters made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head on to you crafty space and create something using a Cricut cartridge cut of a Maple Leaf. You have until Sunday, Oct. 13th to link your project.
Hope ya'll like my Maple Leaf card!!!! :)

Happy Birthday Exploring Cricut!!

It is a wonderful day today at Exploring Cricut. It is our 3rd birthday!!! And to celebrate it, we are having a 'Happy Birthday Exploring Cricut Blog Hop'! We sure hope you will hop along with us and then create a card, layout or paper craft celebrating a birthday event using a Cricut cartridge. You can use any colors but it must include at least 1 button, brad or jewel.
Now, if you can my way from Exploring Cricut then you are headed in the right direction. If you just happened to stop by and visit, well Thank You! Why don't you hop along with us then. If you get lost along the way you can come back by and check a list of the stops at the end of my post.
For my card today I went with the 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge. I have sorely neglected this great cartridge. I cut the darling Cowboy 1 that can be found on page 38. I cut him at 3.5 inches. I so love the banana across his face and that cool hat. I used some glossy accents on his eyes and did a little bit of doodling. The sentiment is from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I stamped it using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Punched it out with a 1 1/2 circle punch. I also punched a 1 3/4 inch circle to go behind it. I then took some Cappaccino Solid Twine from The Twinery and made a lasso around the sentiment. Did a little bit of doodling with my white gel pen. Finished off my card with some brown little buttons from my stash. The bg paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby.
I hope ya'll like my card!!! :)
I hope you will join us for our challenge. You will have until 10pm, EST Saturday, Oct. 12th to link.
Check out the rules for our challenges in the side bar at Exploring Cricut. There will be blog candy offered there. There also may be some along the hop. You will just have to visit everyone and see. I will be offering some blog candy myself. I have been dying and crinkling my own ribbon. So I will be giving 4 different colors. I will be using random.org to pick the winner and will post late Saturday night Oct. 12th. You don't have to be a follower, but I do ask that you have a U.S. address. I'm sorry I can't ship anywhere else. The winner will have a week to contact me with a way to get in touch with you.

Now I want to say: Happy Birthday Exploring Cricut!!!! Thank you Diane for allowing me to be on this awesome Design Team. I am loving it and can't wait to see where this next year will take us.

Your next hop stop is my wonderful DT Sister Donna. I know she has some awesomeness in store for your enjoyment!!
