Overlay

Morning, morning, morning!!! Hope all is well with all of my Crafty Friends!! Are you ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? My wonderful DT Sister Melanie has issued a great challenge this week. Use an overlay cut from any Cricut cartridge. When I saw this challenge I thought, 'Okay then. Now what will I make for this one. Hummmmm.....' Then I thought of my Lacy Labels cartridge. Using my Gypsy Girl, I welded two together and made a shaped card. I made it a little smaller than I had intended, but I  really like this size. This cut can be found at the #27 spot on the overlay. And I cut it at 3.5. I added some bling from Paper Studio-Hobby Lobby to the center of the flowers. The sentiment is from the 'Encouraging Thoughts' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Don 't let the thoughts of this challenge keep you from joining us. There are several cartridges out there with overlays on them. Just pick one and come join in on the fun. Before you do though, how about heading on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and checking out the projects that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there, check the sidebar for the rules for our challenges. Then get to creating!! We so love to see what you come up with!! You have until Sunday, October 6th to link your project.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Sweet Baby

Morning Everyone!! Hope ya had a great weekend and are now ready for the new challenge at Paper Playtime. Our challenge, if you so want to join in on the fun, is to use Red, Yellow and Blue. And our sponsor is KaDoodle Bug Designs. She will be giving a $10 gift certificate. She has the most adorable cut files!!! In fact, my darling little elephant is one of hers!
Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut this adorable little Baby Elephant. I'm sorry, I didn't make a note of the size. It's just what came up when I loaded it onto my mat. The ribbon/bow is some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled. I love the triple bows. Makes it so much fuller. I put my sentiment on the inside. It is from the 'Sweet Talk' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. We sure hope you plan on joining us for our challenge. Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out the creations that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure. And while you are there, check the side bar for the guidelines to our challenges. Then head to your crafty space and make a 'Yellow, Red & Blue' project and link it by October, 14th. So looking forward to seeing what your create!!
Hope ya'll like my little elephant card!!!! :)

I am pleased to show you the card I made for my Daily Project today at Exploring Cricut. Both can be found on page 25. I cut the owl at 2.5 inches and the branch at 1.75 inches. The cloud paper is from my stash. The sentiment is from the 'For the Birds' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.

Morning Folks!! Have you had your County or State Fair yet? Ours came early this year and just ended the first of this week. On the norm it would have been this week.
Fair just happens to be the theme of our Cardz TV Go-to Galz Linky Party
I used 3 different Silhouette store files on my card. For the 'Fair' banner, I used County Fair Banner, #44498. For the Cotton Candy, #45435 and for the Snow Cone, #19115. All of the goodness of fair eating!! I put the sentiment on the inside. I used the 'Good Times' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Head on over to Cardz TV and check out the creations that my DT Sister's have made. Awesomeness for sure!!! And then head to you crafty space and create a project with a 'Fair' theme. You have until October, 10th to link it up. So looking forward to seeing what you make!

Friends Furever

Good morning everyone!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our theme this week is 'Dog or Cat'. Use a dog or cat from any Cricut cartridge on your project. I haven't used my Kate's ABCs cartridge in a long time and it just happen to have this darling cut of this little girl with her beloved dog or cat. I really am not sure which it is. I'm more inclined to think dog but it kinda looks cat, too! Either way, you can just tell that they are 'Friends Furever'!! I cut here at 4 inches. She can be found on page 60 in the booklet. I added some punched clouds and the sentiment is from the 'Barks and Bones' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Now we are in high hopes that you plan on joining us for our challenge this week. Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations that my DT Sisters made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there, check the sidebar for the rules for our challenges. Then head on to your crafty space and create a new project with a Cricut cut of a dog or cat on it.
So looking forward to seeing what you come up with!! You have until Sunday, Sept. 29th to link up your project.

"What's Cooking"

Morning everyone!! Hope your weekend was a good one. Are ya ready for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut? Diane has a fun one for us this week. The theme is 'What's Cooking'. Make a project with a cricut cut of something from the kitchen or anything kitchen related. I went with the From My Kitchen cartridge. I cut the toaster that can be found on page 33 at 2.5 inches. When you have a toaster, you gotta have toast. So I made some using part of the bread cut from page 64. I cut them at 1.5 inches. Needed a plate, so I cut the one on page 55 at 1.75 inches. The little pats of butter I hand cut and then used glossy accents on them and on the toaster, too. The bg paper is some that I got from Michaels. The sentiment  is from the 'Foodie Punnies' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out the creations my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there, check out the rules for our challenges in the side bar. Then head on to your crafty space and create a project with a kitchen theme. You have until 10pm, EST, Saturday, September 28th to link up your project. So looking forward to seeing what you make!!

Autumn

Good Monday morning everyone!!! So glad you decided to stop by and see me. I have the honor of being the hostess for this weeks challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. Since the first day of Autumn is this coming Sunday, I have challenged my awesome DT Sister's to make a project with an Autumn theme using any Cricut cartridge. I decided to make a layout for this challenge. I know Hubby will be raking up some leaves before we know it and I intend to get some photos of our Bassett Hound-T Bone playing in said leaves. So I knew I would need a layout to put a photo one. I cut the big tree from the Create-a-Critter cartridge. It can be found on page 68 and I cut it out at 8.5 inches. I didn't cut all of the layers as I didn't want the face on the trunk. The Wheelbarrow is from the Pooh & Friends cartridge. It is on page 34 and I cut it at 2.5 inches. The leaves are from the tree. I used my Gypsy Girl and hid everything but the cutout of one of the leaves. I then just duplicated it and got a pile of leaves to match my tree. The clouds are from a punch. The sentiment in the corner is from the 'Fall Fun' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I plan on putting my picture on the open space and do my journaling on the tree trunk.
I sure hope you plan on joining us for our 'Autumn' challenge. Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the projects that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there, check the side bar for the rules for our challenges. Then head to your crafty space and create a new project to link by Sunday, September 22nd. So looking forward to seeing what you make!
Hope ya'll like my layout!!!! :)

Apples

Morning, morning, morning!!! Hope all is well with you and that you had a wonderful weekend. I did. And now I'm ready for the new challenge at Paper Playtime. Janis has challenged us to use apples on our project. I decided that I didn't want to make a card this time. So I headed to the Silhouette Store and typed in apples and found this cute favor box with an apple on it. It is Lori Whitlock-Apple Favor Box-#46914. The cardstock I cut it from I found in my stash. Haven't a clue where it came from. I just love the pattern and thought it would be cute since the back was a solid red. Perfect for the inside. The band is cream and the apple I cut from the red side of the cardstock. The gingham ribbon is also from my stash. That is it! I really love how it turned out.
How about heading on over to Paper Playtime and checking our the projects that my DT Sister's made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you're there, check out the rules for our challenges. Then head to your crafty space and create a new project using apples and link up by Sunday, September 29th. Can't wait to see what you make!!
And to make it even better, if you link up a project, you will be in the running for one of Mary's Cardz TV Stamp sets. You can check all of Mary's stamps out by heading over to Cardz TV Stamps.
Hope ya'll like my Apple Favor Box!!!! :)

Happy Birthday Bear

Morning everyone!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend planned. I hope to get into my crafty room this afternoon after work. But for right now I would love to show you the card I made for the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. I needed a birthday card for one of the girls at work, so I pulled out my Teddy Bear Parade cartridge. I decided to go with the bee bear. I cut the bear and the bee layers at 3.5 inches. The bee is #13 on the overlay. I coated the bee wings and the tops of the antenna  with Star Dust Stickles. I did a little doodling and added some freckles. I put a faux white half pearl in the center of the flower and in one corner. The sentiment on the front is from the Buggy Punnies stamp set and the inside one is from the Sweet Occasions stamp set. Both of these are My Pink Stamper stamps. That's it for me today.
I hope you have been checking each day for the daily projects that my DT Sister's have been making. If not, then you are missing some awesomeness for sure!!
Also, have you entered our current challenge? If not, you still have time. Just make a new project with the 'Back to School' theme, using the colors red, green, white, black, orange and yellow.
You have until 10pm EST tonight to link.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Jars, Jams & Jellies

Good Friday Morning my Crafty Friends!! Hope you have had a good week and are ready for a new linky party with the Cardz TV Galz Linky Party. Our theme this time is 'Jars, Jams & Jellies'. We would love for you to join us. Make a card, layout or altered project using a jar. I made a Halloween card. I used Mary's 'Love in a Jar' stamp set. I stamped the large and small jars. Colored the edges of the jar part with a NT Copic marker and the lid with a gold studio g marker. My candy corn is from the Silhouette store. It is #47266. There are other cuts in this file, but I only used the candy corn. I use a Nestabilities Scalloped Oval for the layer that I mounted my jar on. I popped it on my card. My sentiment is from the "Thankful For You' stamp set. The inside sentiment is from the "Happy Day's" stamp set. You can find all three of these stamp sets by going here. The patterned bg paper is from K & Company.
Head on over to Cardz TV and check out the creations that my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty space and create a new project using a jar and link it by September 26th.  So looking forward to seeing you jar projects!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Ohhhh do we ever have a fun challenge for ya this week at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our wonderful Jayne is our hostess this week and she has challenged us to make a shaped card or layout. Since I need several Halloween cards for all of our grands, I decided to go in that direction. I pulled out the Mini Monsters cartridge and cut this cute Frankie shaped card. It can be found under the card feature on page 44. I cut it at 4.25 inches. I used some faux black half pearls for the center of his eyes. I then used my Tiny Tags Metal Dies and mad the tiny tag and then stampe 'Dude!' on it from the Tiny Tags 3 stamp set. These are from My Craft Spot. The inside sentiment is from the 'Happy Days' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. That's it! A quick simple little shape card that I know one of the grands is gonna love!!

Now on to what I created for this blog hop. The only requirements we had was we had to use teal.
Since we are also celebrating Amanda's Birthday, I went with a birthday card. And I have to tell ya that I really went CAS on this card!! I had gotten this Ki Memories -Celebrate-6x6 paper pad at Walmart and I found all of my papers (except the base of the card) in this pad. Don't cha just love doing that?! I was excited to find teal in there!! The second layer and the middle candle foot the bill perfectly. I cut the ribbon from a Silhouette file. It is #3055 at the Silhouette store. I used the back of the middle layer as it is solid. I used some faux half pearls in the corner. These are from Recollections. My sentiment is a wooden stamp from my stash. CAS and I love it!!!!
Happy Birthday Amanda!!!!
Thank you Amanda for letting me be a part of this awesome hop!

Spider Fun!

Good Monday morning everyone!!! Hope ya had a great weekend and are now ready for another fun filled challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2! Our wonderful leader Susan has issued the challenge for us all to make either a French Fry box or a 3D Box. I found my French fry box on the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge. It can be found on page 69. I cut it at 4 inches using this great cardstock from the Paper Studio-Spooksville 8.5x11 pad. I've had it a couple of years and I'm still loving the papers in it. I then cut these spiders from the Designer Calendar cartridge. It can be found on page 48. I cut it at 2 inches and then I cut off the piece of web that is at the top of the spider. I used some AMetal Nailheads for the eyes. I also popped up 2 of them. I think this will be a super cut candy holder for the grands this year!! What do you think?
Okay now, it is time for you to get busy. Head over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations my DT Sisters made-awesomeness for sure-and while you are there check out our challenge rules in the sidebar.
