The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge

Hello, hello, hello!!!! Hope all is well with ya today! Here it is, the 30th of the month once again. Now where did July go? It zoomed by so fast!! It is now time for the new challenge at The Scrapbooking Queen's-Royal Digi Challenge. I have made two cards this month since I missed last month. (Way to much going on at work) I used 'Happy Little Whale' digi and 'Flower Power Car' digi. Both of these are from Meljen's Designs. Melissa has the most adorable digis!! You just have to go and check them out. I'll wait on ya.........See I told you they are adorable!! How many did you buy? Or are you trying a few freebies first?
For 'Happy Little Whale' I went with a 6x6 card. I colored her with my Copics and Spica glitter pens. I then used a Spellbinders Grand Scallop Oval die to cut it out. The bg paper is from American Crafts. The 'congrat' sentiment is from the 'Mini Messages' stamp set and the 'Whale done' is from the 'Amusing Animals' stamp set. Both of these are from Scrappy Mom's.
For 'Flower Power Car' I made an A2 card. I colored my car using my Copics and Spica glitter pens. Then I just cut it down and rounded the corners. The bg paper is from my stash. As I was hunting for some kind of flowery paper, I found this chevron paper and just had to use it instead. I finished my front off with some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled. On the inside I put a small bow and the sentiment is from the 'Good Friends' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Well, that's is for me today!! Head on over to The Scrapbooking Queen's and check out what my DT Sisters have made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there, make note of the rules for our challenges. Then head to your crafty space and color up a digi or two and come back and link up your project! Can't wait to see what you make!!
Hope ya'll like my cards!!!! :)

Crazy for Christmas!

Good Monday morning everyone!!! Can you believe it is the last Monday of July already?! That means we are less than 5 months away from Christmas!! Yikes!!!!!
Are ya ready for a new challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our wonderfully talented DS Sister Jayne is our hostess for this week and she has challenged us with 'Christmas In July' as our theme!! And you can use any Cricut cartridge, too!!! Now how about that?!! I always try to make the Grands a Christmas card even if I don't get any made for anyone else. So I am glad to be able to get another done. I made a 6x6 card so I could cut my Oscar The Grouch bigger. I cut him at 3.5 inches. I had to give him a little bit of sparkle, so I used some Diamond Stickles on his Santa hat. I glossy accented his tongue. The sentiments are from the 'Christmas Joy' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I added some Solid Maraschino twine from The Twinery and made a little bow with some of the twine. I attached my sentiment under the bow area. The bg paper came from my stash. My guess is that I got it at Hobby Lobby at some point. To finish off my card, I put Oscar on an action wobble!!! Yes I did!! I so love these things!!!
Why don't cha head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the creations that my DT Sisters have made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! And while you are there, check out the rules for our challenges in the sidebar. Then head on into your crafty space and make a project following our theme 'Christmas In July' and then link it by Sunday, August 4th. We so love it when you join in on our fun. Looking forward to seeing what you make!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

The cow is from the Animal Kingdom cartridge. (I haven't used this cartridge in like forever!!) You can fin it on page 85. I cut it at 3.5 inches. I used some glossy accents, some faux black half pearls and did some faux stitching.
The sentiment is from the 'Critter Captions' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.

Let's head to the Beach!!!

Good Monday morning to ya!! Hope you all had a great weekend. Are you ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Now for my card. I pulled out my Life's a Beach cartridge for my 6x6 card. I cut the pail and shovel from page 60 at 3.5 inches, the flip flops from page 64 at 2.5 inches and I welded the waves together that can be found on page 45 so they would fit all the way across my card. Yeah, I used my Gypsy Girl to design my card. The sun is from the Inspired Icons stamp set from Stampendous. I stamped it and then cut it out. I used a copic to give it rosy cheeks. The sentiment is from the 'Sun Kissed' stamp set from Scrappy Mom's. The bg top paper is open stock from Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. I finished off with a little bit of bling from Bo Bunny Anthem Jewels. Well, that's it for me.
How about heading off to your crafty space and create a 'Beach' theme project and link it for our challenge? We sure love it when you join in on the fun!!

A Slice of Summer

Morning everyone!!! I sure hope you had a great weekend and are now ready for a new challenge at Paper Playtime. We have been challenged to create a project using Pattern Paper. I knew that I wanted to make a layout page for summer. Just wasn't sure what direction I wanted it to go in. I decided to first pick out my pattern paper. Went shifting through my stash and came across this tree paper. So I went from there. I knew there had to be a great tree in the Silhouette Store. Went a hunting and found this great tree. It is #28874. Needed some clouds and a sun. So I went with #40584. Wanted to have a journaling card. Found this one that is in a set of four, #41874. I thought it was perfect since it had the cutout of the sun and cloud. I cut it three times in each color. I wanted to fill in the cutout of the sun and cloud with the right colors instead of the trees from the paper showing through. The sentiment is from the 'Fun in the Sun' stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.  I am going to put my photos on the tree. I think that will be cute. I think my favorite part is the red swing. I remember having a tree swing when I was growing up. So much fun!!!
We sure hope you will join us for our 'Pattern Paper' challenge. You will have until Sunday, August 4th to link up a creation. Who knows, you just might be one of the lucky winners this go around. We have two sponsors. The first is The Robin's Nest with a $15 gift certificate. There are some awesome stuff that you can choose from. Our second sponsor is My Craft Spot with a choice of either 1 metal die set or 1 stamp set. Kimberly has some awesome stamps and die sets to choose from.
Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out what my DT Sisters created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Then head to your crafty space and create a new project using 'Pattern Paper'. Can't wait to see what you make!!
Hope ya'll like my layout!!!! :)

Christmas In July

Good Saturday Morning Everyone!!!! I have the honor of presenting the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut today. I decided to stay with the theme of our blog hop. You have hopped, haven't you? If not, you sure are missing out on some awesome projects!!! And if you haven't entered our challenge, you still have time. Just link by 10pm, EST, tonight. Make a new project, using a Cricut cut and make a Christmas project.
I again used my 'Jolly Holiday's' cartridge. I cut another one of the cute houses on it. This one has a reindeer on the roof. So very cute. And only a few cuts!! Can't beat that. This one can be found on the #41 spot on the overlay. I used the same Echo Park designer paper and the snowman stamp that I stamped, colored with my Copics and cut out. I sprayed it with some Sparkle Shimmer Spritz, too. The sentiment on the inside is from a wooden stamp that I have in my stash.
That's it for today. Don't forget to check back Monday and see who has won my blog candy from the hop.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Ice Cream!!!!! :)

Did you know that July was National Ice Cream month? I did, but haven't really given it much thought since I think any month is a good time to eat ice cream!! Our wonderfully talented DT Sister Brenda is our hostess for this weeks challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. She has challenged us to make a project using any Cricut cut of ice cream. I decided to make a 6x6 card so I could make my ice cream cone big!! I used this great cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge. It can be found on page 44. I cut it at 5,25 inches. I didn't cut the piece that would have the face on it because I wanted to use this cute Peachy Keen. It is from the Happy Lashes Assortment-PK-460. I added some Cappuccino twine from The Twinery and my finishing touch was to put my ice cream cone on an action wobble!!! That's why it has the happy face!!! The bg designer cardstock I used is from American Crafts.
I sure hope you plan on joining us for our challenge. We love to see what you create. Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sister's have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! And while you are there, check the sidebar for the rules to our challenges. Then head to your crafty space and create something using a Cricut cut of ice cream. So looking forward to seeing what you come up with! You have until Sunday, July 21st to link your project.

I'm the first stop for the hop. So welcome, welcome, welcome!! You are going to so love all of the creations that you are going to see along the way!!! Now for my card:
I decided to pull out my much neglected 'Jolly Holidays' cartridge to make my card. I went with the cut that is at the #43 spot on the overlay. So easy!! Just a few cuts and you have this super cute house with Santa's legs sticking out of the top of the chimney!!! Guess he had to many cookies at the other houses he'd already visited!!! The snowman is a wooden stamp that I stamped, colored the hat, nose and scarf with my Copics and then cut out. The bg designer paper is from Echo Park. I finished by spraying some Sparkle Shimmer Spritz on my card. The sentiment on the inside is from a wooden stamp that I have in my stash. Now we're not just having a blog hop, we are also having our usual challenge. Just use a Cricut cut and create a new Christmas project. You have until 10pm, EST, July 20th to link you creation. Hamm

I'm  not talking food here!! I'm referring to our new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 and it isn't food! Our wonderful DT Sister Michelle is our hostess this week and she loves 'Disney' a whole whole lot!! She has challenged us to make a project using any of the Disney cartridges and if you just happen not to have any of them, then just use a Princess from any cartridge.
I went with the Toy Story cartridge. I cut Hamm from page 54 at 4 inches. To tell you the truth, I have never watched the Toy Story movies. I only bought this cartridge because our youngest grandson loves Woody and I just had to make him a card using Woody. So I don't know if Hamm is male or female. I decided to chance it and made mine female. Hence the glittery nails. I used Star Dust Stickles to give them that glittery glow. I mounted her on an Action Wobble!!! I haven't been using these a lot lately so I just had to give her some shimmy!! The sentiment is from the 'Punny-licious' stamp set from My Pink Stamper. The tag here and on the inside are 'Tiny Tags Metal Dies' from My Craft Spot. The sentiment on the inside is from the 'Tiny Tags 2' stamp set from My Craft Spot. I tied some 'Pink Sorbet' twine from The Twinery in the hole at the top of both tags. The bows are some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled. The bow on the front is a triple bow. This is the first time I've made one of these. I love how it turned out. It makes it so full looking.
Now, I sure hope you intend to join us for our challenge. Are rules are really simple. Please remember that we are a Cricut cut challenge blog. Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the rules that are posted on the sidebar. And look at what my DT Sisters have made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head on to your crafty spot and create a project using either a Disney cartridge or a Princess from any cartridge. I'm so looking forward to seeing what you make!! You have until Sunday, July 14th to link you project.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Here she is shimmying!!!

Tag-Paper Playtime

Hey ya'll!! Hope ya had a great weekend!! We sure did! Are ya ready for a new challenge at Paper Playtime? We are making 'Tags' for this challenge. There are so many different ways to use tags. Attach them to cards, gifts, projects, just about anything and anywhere. But now, I don't usually make a lot of tags except at Christmas. So I went to the Silhouette Store and checked out their tags. I found this one that is called a String Tie Pocket Tag. It is Design # 31292. It has a pocket and a tag on the inside. How fun is that?! I used some cardstock from Little Yellow Bicycle that I found in my stash to cut my tag from. For the circle tabs, I just flipped the cardstock and used the back to cut them. The twine is Strawberry Twine from The Twinery. The pearl topped brads are Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. The pearl flourish is from Recollections from Michaels. The crinkle ribbon is seam binding that I crinkled and dyed. On the tab on the inside I stamps my sentiment from the 'Rejoice' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
We sure hope you will join us for our 'Tag' challenge. The wonderful Mary of Cardz TV and Cardz TV Stamps is our sponsor for this one. She will be sending lucky crafter a set of her most awesome stamp sets. So head on over to Paper Playtime and check out the rules for our challenges, and then look at the wonderful tag projects that my DT Sister's have made. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and get to crafting. Looking forward to seeing your card project!! You have until Sunday, July 21st to link it up!
Hope ya'll like my tag!!!! :)

Happy Fourth

I hope you had a great 4th. We had a blast spending time with family and friends and the fireworks we got to see were totally awesome!!!
Today I have the pleasure of showcasing the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. I just had to keep going with our 'Celebrate' theme. Making a project celebrating July 4th or Canada Day or how ever you celebrate in your country.
Again I made a layout. It goes perfectly with the one that I made for the challenge. I just need more than the two!!!
I used Stand and Salute cartridge. I cut the fireworks at 4 inches. They can be found on page 50. Then over on page 68 you will find the phrase '4th of July'. I cut it at 5 inches. I once again coated the fireworks with Star Dust Stickles. I did a little bit of doodling on the phrase. I also used the same paper for my photo mat that I used on my other page. Finished it off with the Bo Bunny Anthem Jewels.
Now, if you haven't had a chance to join us for our challenge, you still have time. You can link right up until 10pm, EST tonight. Just make sure you follow our theme and use a Cricut cut.
Hope ya'll like my layout!!!! :)

Let Freedom Ring

Morning everyone!!! Are ya ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our wonderful Susan is our hostess for this challenge. She is in the Patriotic Spirit and has challenged us to show our Patriotism. And that's what we want you to do, too!!! Show you pride in the USA!!!! And those that are not from here, we would love for you to show the patriotism for your country. I decided to go with a 6x6 card this week. I also pulled out my Stand & Salute cartridge. I cut the phrase, 'Let Freedom Ring' from page 30 at 4 inches. I also cut the shadow. I don't usually do that, but it just seemed to need it for this card. I used some Diamond Stickles on the star above the 'i'. This awesome designer bg paper is from Hobby Lobby. It is Paper Studio, open stock. The buttons I also picked up at HL. They are Prima Wood Buttons. The faux pearls are Bo Bunny Anthem Jewels.
Now it is your turn. Just make a card, layout or paper project using a Cricut Cartridge showing your 'Patriotism', and then link it by Sunday, July 7th. Check the side bar at Bitten By The Bug 2 for the rules for our challenges. And while you are over there checking that out, take a look at what my DT Sister's made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! So looking forward to seeing what you create!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
