Happy 4th!!!!

Hope ya'll had a great weekend and are looking forward to a wonderful week. For most, this will be a short work week, but not for me. We don't get that in the retail business. But we do have plans for the afternoon and evening of the 4th. Hope you have some wonderful things planned, too.
Talking about the 4th, that just so happens to be what inspired Diane to chose our theme for this weeks challenge at Exploring Cricut Our theme is 'Celebrate'. Celebrate the fourth or Canada Day or what ever it is that you celebrate in your country. The only thing that is required is to use a Cricut Cut of a flag.
Now I didn't make a card for this challenge. Yeah, I know!!!! Sharon didn't make a card?!! Since we have such big plans for the 4th, I just had to make a layout. I know I will get lots of pictures of at least the grands. Most of my layouts that I do manage to make are usually CAS. So is this one. I went with a black bg, added this great flag from the Independence Day cartridge that I cut at 5 inches. Then I pulled out the Stand & Salute cartridge and cut this great firework. It can be found on page 50. I cut it at 4 inches and the coated it with Star Dust Stickles to give it sparkle. The designer paper I am using as my base for my photo is open stock at Hobby Lobby. Then I added some Bo Bunny Anthem Jewels to finish it off. We sure hope you plan on squeezing in some crafty time this week and join us for our challenge. We so love to see what you create. Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out what my DT Sister's made for inspiration and while you are there check out the rules of our challenges. Then head to your crafty space and create a project with the theme 'Celebrate' using a Cricut cut. You have until 10pm, EST, Saturday, July 6th to link.
Hope ya'll like my layout!!!! :)

Summer Fun!

Hey, are you ready for some 'Summer Fun'?! We are having Inspiration Only week at Bitten By The Bug 2. We are sharing Summer Fun projects. So I just had to pull out my Teddy Bear Parade cartridge for this one. I used the darling little bear with the ducky floaty. I cut it at 3.5 inches. I glossy accented the goggles and the ducks bill and eyes. Did a little faux stitching and a tad of doodling then popped my cutey up on two thickness of foam tape. The sun is from a Stampendous stamp set. I stamped it and then cut it out. Added a little Copic to the cheeks for some color, then popped it up on one thickness of foam tape. The bg paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby. The 'sand' is some paper I pulled out of my scrap bin and tore. The sentiment on the front and inside are from the 'Fun in the Sun' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Would love for you to head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

For my card today, I used my Silhouette Cameo. This great cut is Design ID# 43823 in the Silhouette Store. I love it! The fireworks cut wonderfully!! I popped up the 'USA' with one thickness of foam tape and I added some jewels to the center of the firework bursts and in one corner. The jewels and bg designer cardstock are from Bo Bunny Anthem Collection.

Fishin' you.......

Good morning my friends!! Hope you have great crafty plans for the weekend. I'm here this fine Saturday morning to show you what I created for my Daily Project for Exploring Cricut. I never seem to have enough birthday day cards, so decided to make one for my stash. I used my way to much neglected Create A Critter cartridge. I cut the fish from page 43 at 2.5 inches. I wanted her big enough to put on an action wobble. I dug through my stash of papers and found this great ocean paper from Hobby Lobby's open stock. The sentiment is from the 'It's A Guy Thing' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The piece of seaweed on the inside is from the same page. I used some glossy accents and some Stardust Stickles on my little fish. And that's it for me today. If you haven't entered our current challenge yet, you still have time. Just make a new project, using a Cricut cut for our Father's Day theme. You can link by 10pm, EST tonight. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

It was hard to get a good picture of her wobbling. This was the best I could get.

Come And Get It

How are ya? Did cha have a good weekend? Ours was wonderful. Are ya ready for our new challenge at BBTB2? We have a yummy one for you. Our wonderful Stephanie is hosting this weeks challenge and she has challenged us to make a project using 'Summer Foods'. See why I said our challenge is yummy this week!! I love watermelons so I just had to use one on my card. I picked the one from the Designer's Calendar cartridge. Using my Gypsy Girl, I layed out three of the cuts. (There is only one layer) I hid the seed marks on one so I could have a black background for the seed color. Then I cut one in green and one in red at 2.5 inches. I cut the bottom part off of the red piece so the green 'rind' would show. Then I popped it up on one thickness of foam tape. I glossy accented the seeds to give them a little shine. The bg designer paper came from my stash. Cute, huh? The sentiment is from the 'Fun in the Sun' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The bow is some seam binding that I crinkled and dyed. I finished off my card by adding some small black half faux pearls.
Please head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check on the sidebar for the rules to our challenges. And while you are there, check out the creations my DT Sister's made. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty space and use a Cricut cut of 'Summer Food' and make a project. Then link it by Sunday, June 23rd so we can come by and admire it. So looking forward to seeing what you make!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Father's Day-Exploring Cricut

Are ya ready for a new challenge today? Today's is the start of our new challenge at Exploring Cricut. We are celebrating Father's Day. We would love for you to join in on our fun. Make a card, layout or papercraft using a Cricut cut for the favorite man in your life. Since I've already made my Hubby's and my Dad's cards, I really had to rack my brain for something to make. I went with a CAS card. I decided to go with the Block Party cartridge. I cut the grill that can be found on the #36 spot on the overlay at 4.5 inches. The bg gingham paper is from Hobby Lobby's open stock. Both the front and inside sentiments are from the 'You're The Man' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I finished off my card with a little doodling, glossy accents and some buttons from my stash. I ran some Charcoal Twine from The Twinery through the buttons. Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out what my DT Sister's made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head on to your crafty space and make a new project, using a Cricut cut and using the theme Father's Day and then link it by 10pm, EST, Saturday, June 22nd. I used some glossy accent on the black and white pieces. I also popped it up on one thickness of foam tape. My sentiment is from the 'Food Punnies' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I also popped it up on one thickness of foam tape. The designer bg paper is from Michaels. I finshed off the front with 3 little buttons that I also picked up at Michaels. On the inside I, the sentiment is from the 'Encouraging Thoughts' stamp set which is also one of Mary's-Cardz TV Stamps. I think this will be perfect to send someone who needs a little pick me up.

Paper Playtime-Anything Goes!!!!

So glad you decided to visit me this fine Monday morning!!! We have a new challenge over at Paper Playtime starting today and going through June 23rd. And I'm happy to announce that I am one of the sponsors. Check below for what I will be giving to one lucky winner. Our second sponsor is My Craft Spot. Kimberly will be giving winners choice of either a Metal Die Set or a Stamp Set.
Don't you just love 'Anything Goes' challenges? I know I do. I just had to use my Silhouette Cameo to make my card. I chose this great phrase that I just had to use. My Mom always told us that she loves us to the moon and back. So this brings some great memories to mind. This is #43513 in the Silhouette store. I enlarged it a little bit. I'm sorry, I totally failed to write down the sizes. I cut an extra cloud and stars to use on the inside. The great designer bg paper is from graphic 45. Well, that is it. I sure hope you plan on joining us for our challenge. Please make a new project (no back linking), link by June 23rd, link directly to your project and link back to Paper Playtime. So looking forward to seeing what you come up with!! Head on over and take a look at what my DT Sisters made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

For my project to day I made a couple of 3x3 thank you cards. I like to have a few on hand. I used the Create A Critter 2 cartridge for this cute little bear. I just love her hat. She can be found on page 45 and I cut her at 2.25 inches. I added a faux half pearl to the center of the flower and in one corner. I popped her up on one thickness of foam tape. The sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set from My Craft Spot. And that is all for today. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! And I hope ya'll like my little cards!!!! :)

Ladybug Hugs

Good Monday morning to ya!! Are you ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? Our wonderful DT Sister Susan is our hostess this week. Our theme is 'She's A Lady'. Susan has challenged us to make a project using any ladybug cut from any Cricut Cartridge. I decided to go with this cute ladybug from the Live Simply cartridge that I cut at 3.5 inches. It just has four easy cuts. Cut, glued it all together and I was done. Well, okay, I added some glossy accents to her spots and sis just a little bit of doodling. I also popped it all up on one thickness of foam tape. This great ladybug bg paper is from Recollections. I just had to add some ribbon and a bow. This is some that I crinkled and dyed. The sentiment is from the 'Think Spring' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I stamped it and then used an EK punch to punch it out and popped it up. I finished up by adding some buttons that I picked up at Michaels. Would love for you to head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Ice Cream!!

Good Monday Morning!! Hope you had a great weekend. We are so having summer temps and it goes perfectly with our theme for our new challenge at Exploring Cricut. Since June is 'National Ice Cream Month', Diane has challenged us to make a project using some kind of ice cream or popsicle. Just make sure your ice cream or popsicle is a Cricut cut. I went with this great ice cream from the Once Upon A Princess cartridge. Your can find it on page 57 and I cut it out at 2.5 inches. It has two scoops, but I only need one. I ran the cone through my Big Kick using the Tiny Mosaic embossing folder. The ice cream was embossed using the D'vine Swirl folder. I then popped it up on one thickness of foam tape. I added some little buttons (from my stash) as drips from the ice cream. The bg paper I found when I was digging in my stash. Haven't a clue who put it out. I didn't add a sentiment to this card. I will when I decide how I am going to use it. I hope you plan on joining us for our challenge. I so love to see what you create. Head on over to Exploring Cricut and see the rules for our challenges in the sidebar. While you are there, check out the creations my DT Sisters have made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure! Then head to your crafty space and create a new project using a Cricut cut of ice cream &/or popsicle and link you creation up by 10pm, EST, Saturday, June 8th.
