You're A Classic

Hey! Are you ready for a new challenge with the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team? We are celebrating Father's Day. Make a project to celebrate Father's Day and link it by June 13th. And you just might be the lucky one to win a set of Mary's stamps.
I made a shaped card that I purchased from the Silhouette Store. I cut it the exact size that the file is. I thought it was going to fit in a #10 envelope, but it is just a little to big for one. So I'll be making an envelope for this one. I used some glossy accents on the rims and did some doodling. The sentiment is on the inside. It is from the 'Your The Man' stamp set. You can get your own set right here.
Head on over to Cardz TV and check out the creations my DT Sisters made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty space and create a project to link. Looking forward to seeing what you make! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge-Anything Goes

Morning Everyone!!! Glad you decided to stop by. Today is the start of a new challenge at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge. Our theme this month is Anything Goes. We've had summer temps here and I sure could use a vacation!! So this is the theme I went with. I decided to go with this darling image from Bugaboo Stamps. It is called Beach Frog-sand. Oh how I would love to be on the beach right now!!  I colored this darling digi with my Copics, cut it out and popped it on the front of my card using one thickness of foam tape. The sand bg paper is from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio open stock. The sentiment is from the 'Fun in the Sun' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I stamped it and used a Spellbinders Nested Pennant to cut it out. I popped up the middle with three thickness of foam tape, glued the ends and curled the tips of the pennant. That is it. We sure hope you will join us for our challenge. Since our challenges are now twice a month (15th and 30th), you will have twice the inspiration. check out rules at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge and while you are there you can see who is sponsoring us. Also check out the projects that my DT Sister's have made. Awesomeness for sure!!! Looking forward to seeing what your create using a digi and the summer/vacation theme!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Life's A Zoo

Good Monday morning all my bloggie friends!! I am so excited and honored to be the hostess for our challenge this week at Bitten By The Bug 2.  I thought really hard on what I wanted to challenge everyone to do. I came up with 'Life's A Zoo'. Make any project using a zoo animal from any Cricut cartridge. I don't know why, but when I think of zoo animals, lions always comes to mind. So I just had to cut this cute one from the Life's a Party cartridge. You can find him on page 26. I cut him at 3.5 inches. The bg paper is from sei-play day stack. The sentiment is from the 'Critter Captions' stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. The button is from my stash. To finish off my card, I put my cute little lion on an action wobble!!! Now, I couldn't get a good picture of him wobbling. I took enough, but they were all out of focus. Today is my hubbies birthday and I think he will like this cute little card!
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sisters have created from the zoo! Awesomeness for sure!!! And check out the rules for our challenges on the sidebar. I can't hardly wait to see what zoo animal you decide to create with!! You have until Sunday, June 2nd to link your project up. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Ribbons!

Good morning!!! Hope ya had an awesome weekend. We did! And now I'm ready for a new challenge at Paper Playtime. Our fearless leader has challenged us to use two or more ribbons on our project. Woo Hoo!! Gives me just another excuse to use some of the seam binding that I dyed and crinkled!!! I started with a 6x6 card base and covered it with this great paper from Echo Park-Sweet Day 6x6 stack. The big flower in the middle is from the Silhouette Store. It is file #42651. I cut it the size that the file is, not realizing that it was going to be this big. Hence the 6x6 card size!! But cha know, I love it being this size. I used my Sakura Gelly Roll pen in purple and made dots around the scalloped circle and Star Dust at the points of the purple flower part. The jewels in the middle and corner are from Bo Bunny. I crinkled and dyed the ribbon in two different colors. I think they complement each other nicely. The sentiment on the front and inside are from the Designers Choice stamp set from Scrappy Mom's Stamps. And that is it!!
Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out what my DT Sisters made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and create a new project using two or more ribbons and link it by June 9th. And who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win one for Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. Mary is sponsoring the challenge this time! Check out all of the challenge rules at Paper Playtime. Can't wait to see what you make!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Life's A Beach

Morning. Hope you have big plans for your Memorial Day weekend.
Today is my turn to have the honor of presenting the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. I kept with our challenge theme and made another Summer card. I once again used the Fun in the Sun cartridge. I cut the sandcastle this time. What better way to spend a summer day at the beach building sandcastles! I cut it at 3 inches. The clouds are from two different size Fiskars Punches. I put my sentiment on the inside. It is from the Sun Kissed stamp set from Scrappy Mom's Stamps.
Well, that is it for me today. You still have time to enter our current challenge. Just whip up a new project with a Summer theme and link it up by 10pm, EST, tonight.
Don't forget to check out all of the Daily Projects that my DT Sisters have been showcasing each day. If you haven't been checking them out, you sure are missing some awesomeness for sure!!!
I hope you have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

My Blogiversary

I have been so busy that I completely forgot my blogiversary!!!
May 10th, 2010 I decided to create my blog so I could enter challenges, never thinking that I would ever be accepted as DT Members on any of them!!
And my followers!! WOW!!! Thank You so very much!!! And everyone that comes by to see what I am up to. I so appreciate all of the awesome comments!!!
To celebrate, I am having a little give-a-way. There are several things that I can't craft without and I have decided to give three of these away, so you can see why I love using these items so much.
First is Cutter Bee Color Bee Scissors. These are great for everything. Even small pieces and tight places that you need to snip. Second is Tweezer Bee tweezers. I love these a lot! You squeeze, pick up and then unsqueeze. Holds small pieces so I can glue them wonderfully. Third is Quilling Glue. It comes in these little bottles that last a long time. I'm also including the cap with the little tip on it. That gives a nice thin line of glue. On most items, that's all you need. Great glue that holds tight.

All that I ask is for you to be a follower. I know, I usually don't make this a requirement for my give-a-ways. But since it is my followers that have gotten me this far, that will be a requirement this time. Also, and I am so sorry about this, please have a United States or Canadian address. This is due to the cost of postage. Also, only enter once and leave me either a blog address or email address so I can get in touch with you if you win.
I will hold this open until this Sunday which is May 26th. I will use random.org to choose the winner on Sunday evening. Good luck everyone! So looking forward to another great year of blogging!!! :)

Time for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 and our wonderful DT Sister Sarah is our hostess this week. She has challenged us to make a project and pass it on. You can use any Cricut cartridge and any theme. Just make a new project and pass it on to someone.
I decided to make a thank you card for one of my head cashiers at work. She is such a big help to me.
I cut the flower from the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge. It can be found on page 31. I cut it at 3 inches. I mounted it on a label that I cut from Lacey Labels. It is shape #41 on the overlay. And I cut it at 2.75 inches. The bg paper is from My Mind's Eye-Dolled Up 6x6 pad. My sentiment is from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I finished up my card by adding some buttons to it. Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure! And while you are over there, check out what the rules are of our challenges are and the head to your crafty space and create a project and pass it on!!

April Showers-May Flowers

I know it's the dreaded Monday, but hey, it's also the start of a great new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2!! Our hostess today is the wonderful DT Sister Melanie. She has challenged us to make a project using flowers from any Cricut Cartridge. I decided to use my much neglected April Showers cartridge to make my card. I was going to make an A2 card, but I cut my watering can and flowers to big. So I opted for a 6x6 card instead. I'm glad I did. I decided to pull out my Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals and Scalloped Ovals Large, and cut this great base to put my cuts on and layers for the inside. I popped up my base. I cut the watering can and flowers at 2.50 inches. The flowers can be found at the # 29 & 39 spots on the overlay and the flowers are at the #22 & 32 spots. I also cut an extra of the base piece for the watering can so I could pop it up and put my flowers between the layers. I then popped it up on the base piece. I added some faux half pearls from Recollections. I also embossed the flower stems using Cutterbug Bird Call embossing folder and the flowers with the Polka Dots folder. The sentiment tag is from My Craft Spot as is the sentiment that is stamped on the tag. The tag is from the Tiny Tags stamp set and the sentiment is from the Tiny Tags 2 set. The bg paper is from Echo Park-Sweet Day 6x6 pad. I finished off the front with some seam binding that I dyed and crinkled.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sister's have created for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! While you are there check out the rules to our challenges on the sidebar. Then head on to your crafty space and create a new project using flowers from any Cricut Cartridge!! You have until Sunday, May 19th to link. Can't wait to see what you make!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Buttons!!

Morning, morning!!! Hope all is well with you this fine Monday morning!! Are you ready for a new challenge at Paper Playtime? Our theme this time is 'Buttons'. I searched my Silhouette files and decided to make this card. It is called Card Kit Floral. It cuts the one base piece and then the flower, leaves and butterflies. I love how they turned out. I took a piece of orange cardstock to use as my card base and to cut the butterflies from. I cut extra butterflies so I could have some for the inside and to add to the top of the two on front so I could pull the wings up to make then look like they are in flight. I also added some small faux pearls down the body part. On their picture of this card kit, they have a great big gemstone in the center of the flower, but I added this big orange button from Bo Bunny to mine. I love it!! The sentiment is a wooden stamp from Inkadinkado that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I am well please with how this turned out. A CAS card. I'm starting to really like doing these.
Our sponsor for our challenge is The Robin's Nest with a $15 gift certificate to their online store. There is some great stuff over there!!!
Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out what my DT Sister's have made for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! And while you are there, check out the challenge rules. Then head to your crafty spot and create a new project using buttons. You have until May 26th to link. Looking forward to seeing what you make!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Mom

Good morning everyone!! Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was fabulous. Spent a lot of time in my Crafty Room!! Now I'm ready for the new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. Hope you are, too. Our wonderful Susan is our hostess for this challenge. She has challenged us to make a project honoring Mom. We also have a Guest Designer today~Michelle Criswell. She is so very talented.
I wanted to make a shaped card, so I cranked up my Gypsy Girl and pulled up the Elegant Edges cartridge. I welded to of the Eyelet 2-oblong shadows  together to make my shaped card. This cut can be found on page 52. I cut the oblong at 4.75 (2 of these), 3.75 and 3.00 inches to make my layers. 'Mom' was cut from the Mother's Day 2010 cartridge. This cut can be found at the #6 and #16 spots on the overlay. I then coated Mom in Crystal Stickles and the flower part in Cotton Candy Stickles. I added some faux pearl flourish's from Recollections. I finished off the front with a double bow using some ribbon that I dyed and crinkled. I added the sentiment on the inside. It is from the 'Mother's Day' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I'm real pleased with this card.

There's No Other Like My Mother

Morning everyone!!! Hope you are having a great end of the week. I'm so looking forward to this weekend. First one I've been off in 8 weeks!! I'm gonna craft 'all' day Saturday!!! Today is not just any ole Friday. It's the start of our new challenge for the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team. Our theme is to make a Mother's Day project. I just had to use my Silhouette Cameo for my card. I found this great Flower Swirl Card in the Silhouette Store and thought it would be perfect. It is an A2 size card. I so love how the Cameo cut the Flower Swirl just perfectly. I used Crystal Stickles and coated all of the flower swirls to give them some sparkle. My sentiments are Mary's 'Mother's Day' stamp set. You can get your very own set here. I added some Rhinestone Flourishes from Recollections. I also added a double bow using some ribbon that I dyed and crinkled.
Head on over to Cardz TV and check out the creations my DT Sister's made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to you crafty space and make a new Mother's Day project. You have until May 16th to link it so we can come by and admire it. And who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win a set of Mary's stamps!!! But ya gotta link up a new project before you can be in the running!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

The cardstock that I cut and put on the inside makes my card want to flap open so I held it in my hand to get a picture of it so you can see it closed. Sorry, the light kept reflecting off of the Stickles. Hope you get the idea of how it looks.
