Lettuce......

Morning!!! Here's hoping April brings Spring with it!!! I'm so ready. And Hubby is itching to get the garden planted.
Today starts a new challenge for us at Paper Playtime. And what a fun challenge it is!!! Our theme this go around is to use a 'Pun'.  Well, I have to admit that I had a hard time with this one. I couldn't come up with a good pun that I liked. Then I had a duh moment and said "Lettuce"!
I pulled out my Freshly Picked cartridge because I knew it had all those vegs on it. I found the lettuce on page 77. I cut it at 4.50 inches. The word lettuce was cut at 1 inch. I found the music notes on the 3 Birds On Parade cartridge. The are on pg. 67. I cut them at 4.88 inches. Yeah, I used my Gypsy Girl so I have an odd size there. But I think you could cut them at 4.75 and they would be okay. All of the cardstocks for my cuts and bg are from my stash. Most from my scrap bin. I used a Spellbinders Nested Pennant to write my sentiment on. I finished it off with some buttons from my stash.
Head on over to Paper Playtime and take a look at what my DT Sisters have created for some inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and create a new project using a 'Pun' and link it by Sunday, April 14th.
We have two sponsors for this challenge! The first one is a $15 gift certificate for The Robin's Nest. Go check out the products you can get. Some great stuff!!!
Our second sponsor is your choice of either a stamp set or metal dies from My Craft Spot. She has some great stamp sets and those little metal dies are great with the small stamps.
So get to crafting! Who knows, you just may be a lucky winner!!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!!! :)

Some Bunny Loves You!

Good Saturday Morning Everyone!!! I have a card to share with you today. It is my turn to feature the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut and keeping with our challenge theme for this week, I created another Easter card. Now this didn't turn out exactly how I had it pictured in my head, but I still like it. Using my Gypsy Girl, I welded the bunny head that can be found on the # 32 spot on the overlay of the Easter 2010 cartridge. Since it wouldn't look right opening up at the top of the ears, I welded it together at the bottom. Makes it really interesting, I think. Then I cut the face feature layer that is #42 on the overlay. I cut one where I hid all of the face features so I could have a solid background and one where I only hid the eyes so I could use faux brown half pearls instead. I cut all of these at 5.50 inches. I coated his little nose with glossy accents. And did a little bitty bit of doodling. I cut the scallop circle that can be found at the #52 spot on the overlay in two different sizes. One at 2.50 and the other at 2.25 inches. I then stamped my sentiments on the inside. The top one is from the Easter Punnies stamp set and the other is from the Happy Days stamp set. Both of these sets are from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. That is it for me today. Now if you haven't entered our challenge for this week, you still have time. Just make a new creations with the theme 'Happy Easter' and link it up by 10pm EST tonight. Make sure you use a Cricut cut on your creation.
Happy Easter everyone!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
This is really a chocolate brown, but it wouldn't photograph properly for nothing!!

I'll Bee Here For You!

Good morning!! Hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend. I sure did! I was off work and I had a great one. It rained, but hey, just gave me a better excuse to play in my crafty room!!!
Today at Bitten By The Bug 2 our challenge hostess is the very talented Brenda. She has challenged us to make a card using any card feature from any Cricut Cartridge.
I haven't used my Wild Card 2 cartridge much since I got it, so I decided I just had to pull it out. I cut the Beehive card on page 25. I cut it at 4.25 inches. The top layer I ran through my Big Shot using the Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder that my wonderful friend Mary sent me. I think it looks great!! I stamped the faces of both of my bees with Peachy Keen stamp set-Boy Mates Face Assortment and stickled their wings. Sorry, I totally failed to write down which one I used. The buttons are from My Mind's Eye. The sentiment on the front is from the 'Good Friend's' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps and the inside one is from the 'Buggy Punnies' stamp set from My Pink Stamper. I embossed the bottom of the sentiment piece on the inside with the Honeycomb Border folder.
Hope you hop on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the fabulous cards that my wonderful DT Sisters have created. Awesomeness for sure!!!! And then head to your crafty space and create a new card using the card feature from any Cricut Cartridge. Please no backlinks. You can view the rest of the rules on the sidebar at Bitten By The Bug 2. Looking forward to seeing what you create!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Easter/Spring

Welcome to the new challenge at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge. Our theme this month is Easter/Spring. This month I made four cards. My first card is Easter Bunny Cupcake by Meljen's Designs. The second one is called Cuddle Bun Buddies and it is also by Meljen's Designs. I colored both of them with my Copics. The second two are from Pink Cat Studio. I cheated with these. I used pre-colored digis. The top on is called Chicks Paint Easter Egg and the other is called Chicks Easter Balloon Ride. All of the sentiments are from the Easter Blessings and Easter Punnies stamp sets from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
We hope ya'll will join us for our challenge. Just make a new creation with a digi and have an Easter or Spring theme. Check out the rules over at The Scrapbooking Queen's and while you are there check out what my DT Sisters have created to inspire you. Looking forward to seeing what you create. Hope ya'll like my cards!!!! :)

Happy Easter

Are ya ready for a new challenge?! We have one for you over at Exploring Cricut. Our theme is 'Happy Easter'. Can you believe that Easter is this Sunday?! In celebration, we would love for you to join us for our challenge and create a card, layout or papercraft celebrating Easter. Make sure you use a Cricut cut on your project. You have until 10pm, EST, Saturday, March 30 to link your project. Just make sure it is a new creation (no backlinks please). For my card today, I used the Doodlecharms cartridge for my eggs. They are on page 89. I cut them at 2.25 inches. Then I used Cotton Candy, Orange Peel, Yellow, Lavender and Lime Green Stickles to decorated them. The basket can be found at the #10 spot the overlay for the Easter 2010 cartridge. I cut it at 3.5 inches. I popped it up on one thickness of foam tape. The patterned bg paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment is from the "Easter Punnies" stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. My sentiment on the inside if from Mary's "Happy Days" stamp set. Head over to Exploring Cricut and check out what my DT Sisters and Brother have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure! Then head to your crafty space and create a new project using a Cricut cut celebrating Easter and link it up so we can come by and admire it! Looking forward to seeing what you make. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Good Times-Cardz TV Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to our Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Good Times Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Dana's place than you are in the right spot. Didn't you just love her card?!! Awesomeness for sure!!
Our blog hop is showcasing Mary's new stamp set-'Good Times'. Such a wonderful set. But then, I think all of Mary's stamp sets are wonderful. You can buy your very own right here. Go ahead, hop over and take a look, I'll wait on ya. Told 'cha they are wonderful, didn't I?!
For my card today, I pulled my inspiration from one of the stamps and went from there. I cut this great ruler from the Locker Talk cartridge. It can be found on page 41. I cut it at 1.50. I did use my Gypsy Girl and hid all of the tick marks, except for the lines for the measurements. I then went over them with a black pen and wrote in the numbers. I added some faux stitching at the bottom of the ruler. The measuring tape ribbon is from The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby. The bg patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye-lime twist 6x6 paper pad. The buttons are from my stash. I stamped the sentiments and trimmed around them to the size I wanted. I then brushed a little bit of Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink around them and popped them up on one thickness of foam tape. These sentiments and the one on the inside are all on the 'Good Times' stamp set. I bet by now you know which of the stamps I pulled my inspiration from!! :)
Mary will be giving away two sets of her most awesome stamps. Now I just have to give some blog candy myself. All I ask is that your have a U.S. or Canadian address, due to the cost of postage. Sorry about that. Also, please leave me a way to reach you. A blog or email addy will do. I will draw on Sunday evening and post on Monday who the winner is. Bet ya wanna know what I'm giving, don't cha? How about 3 sets of We R Memory Keepers Washi Tape? Sound good to ya? Good luck to all!!! (See picture below)
It is now time to head on over to visit Pinklady Crafter. You are going to just love her card!! Because I know it is awesomeness for sure!!!
If you get lost somewhere along the way, you can come back here and check below and find your way.
Below the list is the picture of my blog candy.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

One of these days I hope to be able to get my pictures to turn out right. Sorry for the poor quality!!

Here's a photo of the "Good Times" stamp set for you to add to your post.

Egg-ceptional Easter Eggs

Well, don't I feel like a doodoo bird!!! Our power went off right after I got home yesterday and didn't come back on until later this morning so I wasn't able to get online to see that I totally goofed!!!
Yesterday was the start of our new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge. So here I am, displaying my card a day late. So very sorry Ladies!!!
Our challenge is hosted by our wonderful DT Sister Susan. She challenged us to use an Easter Egg from any Cricut Cartridge. I decided to go with the Elmo & Friends Holiday cartridge for my 6x6 card. Elmo 5 can be found on page 28 and I cut him at 4.5 inches. The bg patterned paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby. The Daffodil Crinkle Ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam. The sentiment is from the 'Easter Punnies' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. We sure hope you decide to join us for our challenge this week. Please use a Cricut cut on your creation and enter a new project. The other rules for our challenges can be found on the side bar at Bitten By The Bug 2 and while you are over there, check out the creations that my DT Sisters made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! You have until Sunday, March 24th to link you project up.  I sure hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Happy Bee-day!

Happy Monday morning!! Hope this finds you well and ready for a new challenge at Paper Playtime. We have a fun theme this go round. It is to use a bee on your project. Yep, that's right. A bee. Now I kinda fretted over this challenge until I decided what I was gonna do. I decided to make a shaped card, using a bee cut. This bee can be found on the Just Because Cards cartridge. It is on page 54. I used my Gypsy Girl and took the shadow, doubled it and then scooted one over and welded them together. The card and layers are all cut at 8.75 inches. This makes the card smaller than an A2, but that's okay. Since this bee doesn't have eyes, I used goggly ones. I aslo coated the wings in Diamond Stickes and the black stripes in Glossy Accents. The sentiment is on the inside. It is from the Little Critters stamp set from Scrappy Mom's.
Our sponsor for this challenge is The Scrapbooking Queen. One lucky person will get a "Royal Pain" stamp set.
Please head on over to Paper Playtime and check out the creations that my fabulous DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty spot and create a new (no back links please) project with a bee on it. Then link it up by Sunday, March 31st. Check out the rest of the rules over at Paper Playtime. Looking forward to seeing what you create! Hope ya'll like my little bee card!!!! :)

Chocolate Bunny

Good Morning! Hope you are having a great start to your weekend. And I hope you can get into your crafty space today. I'm at work, but I intend to head to mine when I get home! It is my pleasure to be able to present you with the Daily Project over at Exploring Cricut today. Since we have all of these Grands I thought I might had better get started on my Easter cards. Now, who doesn't like chocolate bunnies? Okay, I know everybody doesn't, but I sure do! I cute this one from the Easter 2010 cartridge. It can be found at the #25 spot on the overlay. I cut it at 305 inches. I also cut the Egg that is at the #19 spot on the overlay. I cut it at 4.25 inches using some paper that I got at Hobby Lobby. It is from their open stock. I just love how it makes my egg look professionality dyed!! The great sentiment is from the "Easter Punnies" stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I think it goes perfectly with my bunny! I finished the front with some brown half pearls from Recollections. On the inside I put a mini bunny, pearls and this sentiment is from Mary's "Easter Blessing" stamp set.
Now, if you haven't been checking with us everyday to see what my DT Sister's and Brother have been creating for their Daily Project, then you sure have been missing our on some awesomeness for sure!! Also, you still have time to enter our 'Luck of the Irish' challenge. Just create a new project with a Cricut cut of a shamrock on it and link it by 10pm, EST, tonight. Hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend! And I hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bring On The Bunnies

Well Good Morning to all of my Bloggie Friends! Hope this finds ya'll all well. Are ya ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2? My fabulous DT Sister Suzanne is our hostess this week. She has asked us to us a bunny from any cartridge. Now I love bunnies. Expecially the chocolate kind, but I wanted to go in a different directions with my card. No chocolate bunnies on this one. I pulled out my Kate's ABC's cartridge. I really love this cute bunny on it. It can be found on page 34. I cut it out at 4 inches. Using my Gypsy Girl, I also did some hiding and cut an extra dragonfly and flowers. I used some pink faux half pearls in the center of the flowers. The clouds are from a Fiskars punch. I added a tiny black pearl for the bunnies eye since it didn't have one. I did a tiny bit of doodling to finish off the front. The stamped sentiment is from the Easter Blessings stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Please head over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the rules for our challenges. It can be found on the sidebar. And while you are there, check out the projects that my DT Sisters created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty spot and create a new project using a Cricut cut of a bunny and link it to our challenge. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Luck O' the Irish

Well Good Morning! Glad you decided to stop by. We are having a new challenge at Exploring Cricut and we sure would love it if you would join us. Since St. Patrick's day is coming we are celebrating it with a 'Luck of the Irish' challenge. Creat a card, layout or papercraft using a Cricut cut of a shamrock. If you have been visiting me, you know that I just don't send out St. Patty's cards. But now that I have several, I just may need to send them to someone! For our challenge I fired up my Gypsy Girl and used the Celebrate With Flourish cartridge to create this card. The phrase can be found at the #9 spot on the overlay. I cut it and it's layers at 1.75 inches. The shamrocks are at the #10 spot on the overlay. I cut them at 2 inches. The ones I used on the inside were cut at 1.50 inches. The patterned bg paper has shamrocks on it. It is open stock at Hobby Lobby. The flower is from Sassafras. The sentiment is from the "Happy Days" stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I did a little doodling to finish up my card. How about heading over to Exploring Cricut and check out what my DT Sisters and Brother have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure! And then head to your crafty space and create a new project ( no back links please). Just make sure you link it up by 10 pm EST, on Saturday March 16th. Looking forward to seeing your St. Patrick's Day creations! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

It's SO You!!!!

Whoo Hoo it's Friday!!! And it's time for a new challenge for the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team. Our theme for this challenge is "It's SO You". Use 'your' favorite colors. Well, I can't seem to be able to decide what my favorite colors are. I tend to like red and brown. But I like blue, too. I decided to make a layout page instead of a card. You read that right! A layout and 'not' a card!!! I do have my moments here when I just have to make something other than a card. I love butterflies. They speak of rebirth. Just like when you get saved. You are reborn. I just love it!! The bg  patterned paper is from American Crafts. The papers I used to cut my butterflies are from my stash and scrapbin. The butterflies were cut from: the top left one: Tinker Bell & Friends at 4 inches and the one in the bottom right corner: Indie Art at 3.5 inches. The TB&F's one can be found on page 52 and the IA one is at the #4 spot on the overlay. I did a little bit of doodling and use Glossy Accents and Diamond, Frosted Lace, and Star Dust Stickles on them. Both of the sentiments are from the "Think Spring" stamp set. You can see it and all of Mary's awesome stamps here. Head on over there and take a look. I'll wait on ya. See, I told ya they are awesome, didn't I?! Now here's the deal, create a new project (no back links please), be it a card, layout page or craft project using YOUR favorite colors. Then head on over to Cardz TV and link it up so we can come by and admire it. And who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win a set of Mary's stamps!! Now wouldn't that be wonderful?! While you are over visiting Mary's place, check out what my DT Sister's created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure! And while you're at it, how about heading to their blogs and leaving them some comment love. We all love to hear what you think of our creations.
Well, that's it for me today. Hope ya'll like my layout page!!!! :)

So Lucky

Good morning!! Here it is the first Monday in March. Where did February go? Just zoomed by at my house. We are ready to start our March challenges at Bitten By The Bug 2. For our first one this month, our wonderful DT Sister Brenda is our hostess for this week. She has challenged us to make a project using a shamrock('s) from any Cricut Cartridge. Now I'm not one to send out St. Patrick's Day cards. I will wear green so I won't get pinched, but that's the limit of my celebration. So I'm really challenged when it comes to making a project. I cranked up my Gypsy Girl and keyed in shamrock into the search to see which carts had shamrocks on them. I decided to go with Paper Doll Dress Up. It can be found on page 40 in the accessories 3 layer. I cut them at 2 iinches. I didn't want to go with the ordinary green shamrocks, so I started searching in my stash for something different to cut them from. I came across the Cosmo Cricket-Mitten Weather 6x6 stack. I really liked some of the papers in it and thought they were just perfect. All of my cuts and the bg is from this stack. The mats I popped my shamrocks up on were cut from the Paper Trimmings cartridge. This can be found on page 44 in the square layer. I cut the mats at 2.5 inches. I stamped my sentiment on a piece of cream cardstock and trimmed it down. I inked around it and the shamrocks with some Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink. My sentiment is from the Happy Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I finished off my card with some white faux half pearls from Recollections.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out what my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and make a project for our challenge. Please make a new project (not back links please), my sure you link directly to your project and not just to your blog, make sure you use a Cricut Cut with our theme and also, please so we can more easily comment on your creation, turn word verification off. So looking forward to seeing what your make! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Happy Birthday Mom!

Hope ya'll are ready for a new week. Did ya have a good weekend? I did!! I was off work and I spent Saturday in my Crafty Room and had the best day!! And then yesterday was a wonderful day of worship! Now I'm ready for the new week to begin. And today starts a new challenge over at Paper Playtime. Our challenge theme for this go around is the easy-Anything Goes! Don't cha just love those?! And our sponsor for this challenge is The Robin's Nest. Go check out the great things they have to offer. They will be giving one lucky person a $15 gift certificate.
Today I am sharing a birthday card that I made for my Mom. Today is her big day! Happy Birthday Mom!!! She loves to get out in her flower gardens. Hence the flower card.
This awesome digi can be found over at SK Digi's. Sonia has some the cutest digi's on her site. Go check them out. This one is called Flowergang. I colored it up using my Copics. I used: B0000, G 21, 24 and 82, GY 03 and 63, R 32, 81 and 83, Y 02, 04, 11 and 13 and V 12, 15, 91 and 93.
I put the sentiment on the inside. It is from the Handwritten Notes stamp set from Papertrey Ink.
Well that's it for this time. I sure hope ya'll will head on over to Paper Playtime and check out the projects that my wonderful DT Sisters have made for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty space and create a new (no backlinks please) 'Anything Goes' project. Just make sure you link up by Sunday, March 18th. Make sure you read all of the rules over at Paper Playtime. So looking forward to seeing what you create! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

I just love that no matter what I do and how many pictures I take, the inside color is never right! The cardstock is the same as on the outside, but you would think that I went color crazy with how this looks!!! :)

Happy Birthday Grandson

Good Saturday morning to ya'll!!! I'm off today and plan to spend it in my crafty room. Hope you get a chance to create today, too. Yesterday was our oldest grandson's birthday. I swear it seems like just yesterday that he was born and not 14 years ago. He is growing into a fine young man. So proud to be his MeeMee!!
Today is my turn to present the daily project at Exploring Cricut. I sure hope ya'll have been checking out the other daily projects that my DT Sisters and Brother have been presenting. Awesomeness for sure!!!
I'm sharing the birthday card that I made our grandson. I used the Simply Charmed cartridge for the cake. It can be found of page 74 and I cut it at 3.25 inches. I did some doodling and added some Glossy Accents to it. The banner I stamped the sentiment on is from Spellbinders Ribbon Banners. The sentiment is from the Beary Sweet stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I hid the top part of the stamp because I wanted to use just the 'Happy Birthday' part. I just put a piece of scotch tape over it, stamped the part I wanted and pulled the tape off before I stamped my banner. I popped up the cake, but just glued down the banner. The bg cardstock is from DCWV-the Celebration Stack. That's it for me today. Now, if you haven't joined our 'Love Your Pet' challenge, you still have time. It doesn't end until 10pm, EST tonight. Just make sure you use a Cricut cut and make a new project (not back links please). Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
