3-D Flowers

Morning! Hope ya'll had a great weekend. I had a super busy one. I worked both days.
I hope ya'll are ready for a new challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. Our hostess for this challenge is our wonderful Susan. She has challenged us to use the 3-D rose on the Art Philosophy cartridge. And if you don't have that one you can use any other 3-D flower cut. Just make sure it is a Cricut cut.
Since I don't have the Art Philosophy cartridge, I went with the Flower Shoppe one. I cut the flower on page 16. I bought this cart thinking that I was gonna make all of these wonderful flowers and use them on everything. Well, I haven't done any of that!! I think this is the second time I've used it. So I was so happy to see this challenge so I could would use this cartridge. I used a soft pink for the bottom on the flower. The next layer up is the petals. You have to cut 6 of these. They are red. The next one is maroon and then the center is yellow. That is the part I had the most trouble with. It didn't want to twirl how I wanted it to!! But I finally got it. I used a faux half white pearl in the center. I then drizzled thin lines of glue around and sprinkled Sugar Coating-Lily White Glitter on it. I finished off by spritzing Sparkle Shimmer Spritz by Tsukineko on it to give it a little shimmery shine. I don't think you can tell it in the picture though. My flower was cut at 2.50 inches.
Now I had to decide what to use my flower on. It's to big to put on a card and mail out. It would so get crushed!! So I thought a box would be perfect. I dug out my Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge. I went with the box on page 59. I cut it at 9 inches out of Cosmo Cricket cardstock. It turned out a little smaller than I thought it would but I really like it. It will be perfect to put something small in and give as a gift. I added some Prima-Say it in Crystals for the sides. There you have it! My 3-D flower on a gift box.
Head over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the flowers my DT Sisters have used on their creations. Awesomeness for sure!!!!
I sure hope ya'll decide to join us for this challenge. If you do, please make sure you use a Cricut cut of a 3-D flower, make a new project (not back links please) and please link directly to your project. Can't wait to see what you make.
Hope ya'll like my 3-D flower and gift box!!!! :)
I'm sorry you can't see the side of the box very well. I took picture after picture but none of them would come out. This is the best I could get.

A Hint of Green

WOW!! Can you believe it is the last Monday of February already?!!
We know what happens on the last Monday of each month, don't we? A new challenge at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge. Our theme for this challenge is 'A hint of Green'. We sure hope you decide to join us. Our challenge will last until March 24th., so plenty of time to join in.
I made two 6x6 cards for our challenge. The first one I used this great Pot O Gold digi from Meljen's Designs. I colored it using my Spica Glitter Pens. I wanted it to have a lot of sparkle. I did use a Copic-Boooo to color in the background. I trimmed it down and rounded the corners. I also rounded the corners of my card and the mats. The gemstones are from Paper Studio-Hobby Lobby. I added the sentiment on the inside. It is from the Happy Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I also added some of the gemstones on the inside.
For my other card I used the darling Turtles-good luck digi from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored this one with my Copics. I used E11, E13, E37, G14,G21, G24, N-O Y2, Y4, Y13 and YG9. I also use my Silver Spica on the buckle. I used a Spellbinders Grand Labels Four to cut out the digi. I trimmed off the top and bottom tips so it wouldn't hang off the top mat. I finished off the front using some Sassafras Flowers and some Studio G Gems. I also put the sentiment on the inside using the Happy Days stamp set, a flower and gems.
Head over to The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge to check out the projects that my DT Sisters have created. Awesomeness for sure!! Also check out the new revised rules for our challenges while you are there. Then get to creating so we can come by and admire your handy work!!
Hope ya'll like my cards!!!! :)

I could  not get a good picture of the inside. It kept being this color instead of the green like it should be.

Love Your Pet

Oh my goodness! Do we ever have a great challenge this week for ya over at Exploring Cricut!! Our theme is "Love Your Pet". Make a card, layout or papercraft containing your favorite pet or any animal of your choice. And ya'll will never guess what I made for this challenge! Noooooo, not a card!!!! You heard me right! Not a card!!!! Is something wrong with Sharon?!! No, nothing wrong. I just had to make a layout using some pictures I took of our Bassett Hound when we had snow last month. T-Bone loved it and had a great time playing in it. I used Doodlecharms cartridge for the snowman. He can be found on page 82. I cut him at 3.5 inches. I hid his face and the button holes so I could use some black faux pearls and buttons instead. The tree is from Paper Doll Dress Up. It is on page 52 and I cut it at 6 inches. I then ran it through my Big Kick using the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder. The bg snowflake paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby. The top left picture was taken in the morning when it had just started snowing good, so not a lot on the ground yet and the light was still pretty good. The other two were taken late in the afternoon when it had snowed like crazy for a while and then we had thunder snow and it came down fast and hard for about an hour giving us two extra inches on top of the two we already had. The outside light wasn't so good any more, but I just had to get pictures of T-Bone playing. I cut white cardstock to put behind the pictures. The journal piece is from an EK punch.
Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out the pet projects that my DT Sisters and Brother have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and get busy. Make a new project (no back links please) conatining your favorite pet or any animal and please make sure you use a Cricut cut on your project. Link by 10 pm, EST, Saturday, March 2nd.
Hope ya'll like my layout!!!! :)

Luck of the Irish

Hello!!! Hope you've had a great week and looking forward to an even better weekend! It's time for a new challenge at Cardz TV Stamps DT. We are celebrating St. Patty's Day!! Our theme is to  make a card, layout or craft project using stamped, digital or electronically cut shamrocks or leprechauns. Now I have to say that I don't send out St. Patricks Day cards. And this is a hard challenge for me because of that. So I decided to go super duper simple on my card. I cut the shamrock from the Create A Critter 2 cartridge. It can be found on page 38. I cut it at 4 inches. The smaller one on the inside was cut at 2.75 inches. The sentiment is from the Happy Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
The bg paper is from My Mind's Eye-Happier-6x6 paper pad.
Guess what else I did?! I put my shamrock on an action wobble!! How fun is that?!
Head on over and check out what my DT Sisters made for St. Patty's Day. Awesomeness for sure!!
Then head to your crafty space and create a new project following our theme and link it up by noon, EST, Thursday, March 7th. And you know, you just might be the lucky one to win one of Mary's stamp sets!!!!
Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Happy Birthday!!!

Good morning!!! I sure hope ya'll had a great weekend. I sure did. Great Saturday and an awesome day of worship yesterday, so I'm ready to tackle this week. We are starting it off over at Bitten By The Bug 2 with a wonderful new challenge. Our hostess for this week is my wonderful DT Sister Stephanie. She has challenged us to use purple for February's birthstone, the amethyst. Also use a cake or cupcake from any Cricut cartridge. Hope ya'll are up for the challenge, 'cus this is a good one!!
I made an A2 card using a purple card base. The on top of that I put a black layer and then I put this great patterned paper I found when I was rummaging through all of my stash. I was a shaped piece of cardstock but I liked it so much I just had to cut it down for this card. Using the Elegant Edges cart I cut two of the oblong shadow shapes from page 61. I know it has a name but I'm sorry that I didn't make note of that. I cut two at 4.25, one at 3.75 and one at 3.25 inches. I did some faux stitching around the edge of the black layer and on the tags. Then I wrapped some Orchard twine from The Twinery around the tags. On top of this I popped up the cupcake that I cut from the Once Upon A Princess cart. You can find this one on page 49. I cut it at 3.50 inches. I used my Gyspy Girl to design my card, so I hid the tick marks on the icing and the little sprinkles so they wouldn't cut. I used some Studio G gemstones instead. Also added some in one corner. I finished off my cupcake with some doodling. I added my sentiment on the inside. It is a wooden stamp that I have in my stash. I finished if off with the stitching and a bow made with the Orchard twine and gemstones in one corner.
Head on over to Bitten By The Bug 2 and check out the great projects my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and create a project using purple and a Cricut cut of a cake or cupcake. Please make sure you use a Cricut cut and make a new project for this challenge. No back links please. Also, please make sure you link directly to your project and not just to you blog site.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Our Love Story

Good morning!!! So glad you decided to stop by and see what I've been up to. Today starts a new challenge over at Paper Playtime. If you decide to take this challenge, all we ask is that you make a new project, link back to Paper Playtime, turn off word verification, post a direct link to your project. You can enter as many times as you like as long as each entry is a 'new' project. Oh yeah, and for this challenge we are asking you to use a 'sentiment stamp' somewhere on your project.
I have one more Valentine to show ya'll. For this one I used the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge from my Gypsy Girl. I cut the heart that is #18 on the overlay. And I also cut the tag from the same spot. I cut the shadow of the tag. I cut two hearts on the front at 2.5 inches and the tag at 3.5 inches. The hearts on the inside were cut at 1 inch and the white tag at 2.5 inches. I overlaped the hearts. The sentiments are from the "Be My Valentine" stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The Our Love Story is one stamp that I hid the other words as I stamped each one so I could put them inside of the hearts. I did some doodling and faux stitching on the hearts and tags. I finished off my card with some heart buttons that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out what my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then create a project and link it so we can come by and admire it. You have until March 3rd to join in on the fun! Looking forward to seeing what you make.
Our sponsor for this challenge is our very own Lucy. One lucky person will win the 'Crafted With Love' stamp set from Close to my Heart. See photo of this set below.
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
Oh, and it looks so much better in person. The pictures don't do it justice!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Morning!! Yeah, I know Valentine's Day was this past Thursday and not today!! Really I do! Hahaha
I just had to show ya'll this great little card I made for my Saturday Daily Project for Exploring Cricut. And since our challenge this week is Valentine, I just had to make this one Valentine, too! I've mailed this little cutie out to a special little princess that is celebrated her first Valentine's Day this year. Her name is Scarlett and she is the apple of her parents eye!
I started out by using a Close To My Heart Speckled Background stamp and stamped all over my white cardstock to use for my bg. I really like how this turned out. Then I pulled out the Elmo & Friends Holiday cartridge and cut Elmo 4 from page 25 at 3.50 inches. I put him on an action wobble!!! Yes I did!! You can find these to purchase at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Shoppe. The sentiment is from the Be My Valentine stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The two little hearts are from a punch that I've had for years.
Hope ya'll have been checking out all of the Daily Projects that my DT Sisters and Brother have been presenting each day. If not, you sure are missing out on some awesomeness for sure!!
Also, if you haven't entered our current challenge you still have time. Just make a new project celebrating Valentine's Day and then link it up by 10pm, EST tonight. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Love Is In The Air

Good morning all of my bloggy friends!! If you visit me on a regular basis, I'm sure ya'll know that I enter most of Bitten By The Bug 2 challenges. Well, I was asked if I would like to be on their Design Team!! Yes you read that right!! I was told to think about it for a few days and let them know. So instead of instantly screaming and yelling YES YES YES!!!!!, I took a couple of days to think. Then I said I would be honored!! So here I am, my first day on the Design Team for Bitten By The Bug 2 and am I ever excited!!
Our hostess for this weeks challenge is my DT Sister Brenda. The theme is 'Love is in the Air'. We would so love for you to create a 'new' card, layout or other project, using a heart or a Cupid from any Cricut cartridge to celebrate Valentines and love. You have until 11:59 pm, EST, Sunday, February 17th to link up your project.
I decided to make a 6x6 card. I used cream cardstock as my base. The first layer is a piece of red cardstock from Recollections and on top of that I put a piece of pattern cardstock from the Love 6x6 pad from Recollections. It is a Valentine's Day stack. I inked the edges with some Tattered Rose Distress Ink.
I pulled out my Sweethearts cartridge and decided to go with the heart and love sentiment on page 34. I used my trusty Gypsy Girl and turned the heart at an angle and welded it to the sentiment. I cut them at 5.25 inches in the same red cardstock. I did some doodling with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen. To finish off the front I cut apart some Prima Say It In Pearls. On the inside I used the same cardstocks and finished my layers with a piece of the red and then the cream for my inside sentiments. These are from the "Be My Valentine" stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I then finished the inside with a small piece of the pearls.
Well, that's it for my first day as a new DT member for Bitten By The Bug 2.
I sure hope that you decide to join us for this wonderful challenge. Just make sure you use a Cricut cut of a heart or Cupid, make a new project, link back to Bitten By The Bug 2. Can't wait to see what you create!!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

"Be My Valentine"

Good Monday morning!! Hope ya'll had a great weekend. I sure did! Now I'm ready to show ya'll the cute little 3x3 Valentine's I made for the new challenge we are having at Exploring Cricut. Our theme this go around is "Be My Valentine". We always give the Grands a little heart box of chocolates so this year I decided to go with little Valentines. I used both Create A Critter and Create A Critter 2 on these. The heart balloon can be fouond on page 49 of the CAC cart. I cut it at 2.5 inches and I also used the phrase on that page which I cut at 1.25 inches. From the CAC2 cart, I cut the flying heart-pg. 31 at 1.25 inches, bananas-pg. 34 at 1.75 inches and phrase from same page at 1.25 inches and then the bee from pg. 31 at 2 inches with it's phrase at 1.5 inches. I used patterned papers from the With Love 6x6 paper pad from Recollections on all of my little cards. I also used my gelly roll pen, American Crafts glitter red pen, Diamond Stickles and glossy accents. The faces are from Peachy Keen stamps. Bee-Simple Sallies, Flying Heart-Wide Eyed Kids and Balloon Heart-Simple Simons. I used two of Mary's Cardz TV Stamps. Happy Days and Be My Valentine sets. Also used an Inkadinkado wooden stamp.
Now it is your turn. First head over to Exploring Cricut and check out the projects my DT Sisters and Brother have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!! Kidz Valentine Kardz

What child doesn't like getting a Valentine card?! I know that our Grands love getting them. They love showing me all the cute little cards that get from their classmates and seem to always like the ones that I make them. Our theme for our new Cardz TV Stamps DT Challenge is to make three 3x3 Valentine Kidz Kardz. I used the Create A Critter 2 cartridge for all three of my cuts. I used the Heart on page 30, that I cut at 2.75 inches. The Butterfly from page 32, that was cut at 2.25 inches. And the Apple from page 37, which was cut at 3.25 inches. The bg papers on all three cards are from studio g that I picked up at walmart. And the sentiment on the inside of all three are from the Happy Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.

I think the Grands will really like these. I just need to make a few more!! Head on over and check out all of the adorable little 3x3 cardz that my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and create some cardz to link up. You have until noon, EST, Thursday, Feb. 21st to link. So looking forward to seeing what 'cha come up with!! Celebrate Spring!

I am so ready for Spring!!! Our temp today was in the mid 60's and should be that tomorrow. I love it!! But alas, they say we will have really cold temps by next week! :( Booooooo!! But for now I will enjoy. Across our front yard we have a line of what we have always called Buttercups. Now, before anyone wants to correct me, I know that they are daffodils, but we grew up with them as being buttercups. By either name, they are beautiful and the row in front of our yard is in full bloom right now! Yeah! Full bloom!! So in honor of our 'buttercups', that is what I put on my card that I am entering into the challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. The challenge for this week is to make a new card or project using a Cricut cut for a spring theme. And my buttercup is just perfect for this challenge!! I cut it from the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge. It can be found on page 32. I cut it at 3.25 inches. The butterfly can be found on page 34 and I cut it at 1.25 inches. The grass can be found on the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge in the #42 spot on the overlay. I cut 3 at 1.25 inches each. The middle one I flipped and trimmed down to fit between the two on each side. The clouds are from two different sized EK punches. I love how I can just punch out a cloud if I need one. I used a Star Dust gelly roll pen and added the silver lining to the clouds and some doodling on the flower and butterfly. My sentiment is from the Think Spring stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I popped up the buttercup, butterfly and both sentiment clouds on one thickness of foam tape. Well, that's it. Hope ya'll like my card! :)

You are my sunshine!

Happy Monday morning!!! Hope ya'll had a great weekend. I spent all of mine at work. But hey, that's okay. I'll be off next weekend!! Today starts a great new challenge at Paper Playtime. We sure hope you plan on joining us. We have a super easy challenge for you. Use a border punch. Now what could be easier than that?! I decided to use this great Pixie Dust Studio digi called Fall Pixie. I think she is adorable!! I colored her using my Copics. I used quite a few of them. E000, E00, E11, E13, E15, G21, G24, R00, RV00, Y11, Y13, YG63, YG67, YG82, YG95, YG97, T0, at you Spica 07-Olive and 12-Silver. I then used a Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Oval to cut her out. The bg patterned papers are from Heidi Grace. I took a piece of the green patterned and used my EK Scallop Scallop punch and punched the top and bottom to make my sentiment piece. The sentiment is from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. When our daughter was little I use to sing You are my sunshine to her all the time. Bless her heart! I finished off my card with some rhinestones from Recollections. Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out the creations my DT Sisters have made. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty space and get to creating. Make sure you use a border punch and create a new project to enter. You have until Sunday, Feb. 17th to link. Thank You!

Here it is, the first Monday of February. Hope everyone had a great January. Ours was unusal to say the least. We had to many days that were in the 70's. Storms. And then the great blizzard (by Alabama standards)! One day of everything shutting down!!
Okay, now down to business. Today is my day to present the Daily Project over at Exploring Cricut. We needed a Thank You card for one of hubby's friends. Hubby requested a bear in a tie dyed shirt. Okay. I can do that. Well, couldn't find any tie dyed paper. Just so happened we had to be in a city that has both a Michaels and a JoAnns (which our little town doesn't have), and of course I had to visit both. Found some tie dyed paper!!! Whoo Hoo!!! So using the Teddy Bear Parade I cut the bear and clothes at 5 inches. I used the pants an shirt for the Chef. He is at the #21 spot on the overlay. Using my Gypsy Girl I hid the items I didn't want to use and hid the button cut outs on the shirt. I used the tie dyed that I got at Michaels for the shirt. It is a piece of Recollections from the open stock. I made a 6x6 card and decided to use the tie dyed piece that I got at JoAnns as the bg. And then I just had to put him on an action wobble!!! You can buy these great little toys at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Shoppe. I put the sentiment on the inside. It is a wooden stamp from my stash.
Now, if you haven't entered our challenge yet, you still have time. Just make a new project using 1 embellishment, 2 pattern papers and 3 cricut cuts. You have until 10pm tonight to link up. Check out the daily projects that my DT Sisters and Brother have been posting each day. Awesomeness for sure!!!
Hope ya'll like my card! :)
