Snowman Tag

Evening crafty friends!! I missed entering last weeks challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2 and by golly I was entering this weeks for sure!!! Their theme is Snowmen. How easy!! The hard part was deciding which snowman to use from all the choices. I decided to go with the one on the Smiley Cards cartridge. It is in the #26 spot on the overlay. I cut him at 3.5 inches. I put some glossy accents on his glasses to make them shine. The buttons are from Walmart. And I did a little bit of faux stitching on his hat. The tag was cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge. I'm sorry, I failed to note which page, but I do know I used the one that is #10 on the overlay. I cut 5 of these at 6 inches. I glued them all together to give my tag strength. The top layer is from Hobby Lobby's open stock. The two scallops were cut using the QuicKutz Cookie Cutter Die-Nesting Flowers. The 'snowflakes' were cut using Spellbinders Pendants-Contemporary Hearts. I thought they worked perfect for snowflakes. I used some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz on the large scallop and snowflakes. Then I coated them, the small scallop and snowman with Sparkle-Seer Shimmer Spritz. I popped up the snowman on one thickness of foam tape. The sentiment is from the Snow Day stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I used my Croc-a-dile to punch the hole in the top and added a grommet. The lace and cording are from my stash. Hope ya'll like my tag!!! :)

Fishing you a great day

Happy Monday!! Hope ya'll had a great weekend. I know that I did! Are you ready for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut? We have a great challenge for you this week. Our theme is "Cricut Choice". Create a card, layout or papercraft using at least 1 embellishment, 2 pattern papers, and 3 cricut cuts. I went with a 6x6 card for this challenge. I used two cuts from the B is for Boy cartridge and one cut from the Live is a Beach cartridge. I cut the fish bowl that is in the #7 spot on the overlay of the BIFB cart. I cut it at 4 inches. I also cut the fish from the same spot, but it is the layer. I cut one at 2.5 inches and two at 2 inches. The coral is from the LIAB cart. It can be found on page 68. Since I used my Gypsy Girl to design my card, I hid one of the pieces of coral that I didn't want to use and seperated the other two so I could make them different colors. I cut them both at 2.50 inches. The designer paper I used inside of the fishbowl is from Flair Designs-One Fish, Two Fish-Hit The Beach Collection. The bg designer paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle-Girl Green Stripe. The sentiment if from the Amusing Animals stamp set from Scrappy Mom's. I finished off my card with some bling in each corner of the sentiment piece. Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out the amazing projects that my DT Sisters and Brother have created. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty space and get crafting a project to enter. Make sure it is a new project, that you follow the guidelines of the challenge and that you provide a link to Exploring Cricut so others can find us and join in on the fun. You have until Saturday, 9pm EST, Feb. 2nd to link your project. And who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win the great prize!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge

Good morning!! It seems like it has been forever since we had a new challenge for The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge. Well, since the end of November!! This month we are using digis provided for us by Alicia's Little Shop and she is also our sponsor this month. She will be giving one lucky person 2 free images or the winners choice. Our theme this month is Anything Goes. I choose the Photographer Stamp and the Coloring Alicia Stamp to use on my cards. I used Copics to color both digis. The bg designer paper for the first card is from Heidi Grace. The sentiment is from the stamp set Heartfelt Wishes from Cardz TV Stamps. For my second card I used pattern cardstock from Basic Grey. I cut the digi out using Spellbinders Grand Labels Four. I also cut mats using the pattern cardstock. I finished the front by adding some Faux Pearls from Recollections. I put the sentiment on the inside. It is from the Girls Just Want To Have Fun stamp set from Scrappy Mom's. (I'm giving this card to my BFF for her birthday next month)  I hope you decide to join us for our challenge this month. You will have until Feb. 24 to link up your project. Just make sure it is a new project and that you use a digi stamp. Hope ya'll like my cards!!!! :)

what's shakin'?

Today starts the new challenge at Cardz TV Stamps DT. Our theme this go around is "Color Challenge". Make a card, layout or craft project using Red, Black & White ONLY! Yep, you read that right. At first I thought, 'Oh my gosh! What in the world can you make using only three colors!' But it was easier than I thought it would be. I went with the Create A Critter cartridge. I cut the skunk and flower from page 61. I cut them at 3 inches. The sentiment is from the "FAQ's" (frequently asked questions) stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
The sentiment piece is from the Spellbinders Grommet Tags set. I used two brads on the ends and popped it up on one thickness of foam tape. The fun part of my card is that I put my little skunk on an Action Wobble! I so love these things!! Head on over to Cardz TV and check out the creations my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!! Then head to your crafty space and create a new project to enter into our challenge. You have until noon, EST, Thursday, Feb. 7th to link. Just make sure you make a new project, follow our theme, and provide a link back to Cardz TV so others can come by and join in on the fun. And last but for sure not least, you just might be the lucky ducky and win one of Mary's very own stamp sets!! Now, how fun is that?! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Feel Better Soon

Good morning!! Hope you had a great weekend. I know I did! Today starts a new challenge at Paper Playtime. Our theme for this challenge is 'Use some brown'. We would love for you to join us for our challenge. Just make a new project, be it a card, layout or paper creation and 'use some brown' somewhere on it. Easy Peasy!!! I needed a get well card for a dear friend so I decided to incorporate it into this challenge. As you can see I incorporated my brown onto my card by using it as part of my sentiment tag. This great butterfly can be found on the Once Upon A Princess cartridge. It is on page 59. I cut it at 2.50 inches. I totally failed to note what size I cut the inside one at. The tag can also be found on this same page. I cut it at 1.25 inches. I also did a little bit of faux stitching around the back part of the tag. I used Glossy Accents and Stardust Stickles on the butterfly. I used a black pen and made eyes since it didn't have any. The bg pattern paper is from MME-Sunny 6x6 stack that a wonderful friend of mine sent me. Isn't is beautiful? I so love butterflies!! The sentiment is from the stamp set Heartfelt Wishes from Cardz TV Stamps. And that's my card. Hope ya'll like it!!!! :)
Head over to Paper Playtime and check out the creations my DT Sisters created. Awesomeness for sure. And then head to your crafty space and make a new project to link up. You have until Sunday, Feb. 3rd to enter. Please make sure you link goes directly to you post and that you mention and link back to Paper Playtime so others can come by and join in on the fun, too. Our sponsor for this challenge is The Robin's Nest. One lucky entrant will win a $15 gift certrificate to use. How fun will that be?! So get to crafting. :)

Give-A-Way

Give-A-Way is now closed. Good Sunday morning my Bloggy Friends!!! I said that I would have a give-a-way before the end of last year. Well, guess you guessed by now that I didn't. With Christmas and inventory, end of month and end of year at work, I just let it fall by the way side. But now I'm gonna take care of that.
The only rules are you be a follower of my blog and you have a U.S. or Candian address (due to cost of postage)-sorry. That's it. Please leave only one post with a way for me to get a hold of you. I will make this one a short one. How about until Wednesday, January 23rd, 9pm, Central Time. Then I will let random.org pick a winner. I will post shortly after the winner is picked.
Thank you to all of my followers! You just don't know what it means to me that you have chosen me to follow. It sure makes my day to read all of the awesome comments that ya'll leave me on my creations.
Good luck!!! :)
Oh, bet ya wanna know what I'm giving away, don't cha?!
I'll also throw in a surprise or two.

Hey Chickie! Happy Birthday

Happy Saturday everyone!! Hope ya'll had a great week and looking forward to an awesome weekend.
I have the greatest honor of being the one to present you with a Daily Project for Exploring Cricut today.
I needed a birthday card for one of the ladies I work with. Some of the customers that shop in the store where we work think we are sisters. Not that we look that much alike, but we are built the same, have short brown hair and wear glasses. Guess it's enough. So I call her 'Sis' a lot. I pulled out my Create A Critter 2 and Elegant Edges cartridges to make this card. I found this cute little 'chickie' on page 44 of the CAC2 cart and thought she would be just perfect. I cut her and her layers at 3.25 inches. I wanted something to mount her on so I cut this shape from page 45 of the EE cart. I cut the oblong shift and it's shadow. Using my Gypsy Girl, I hid the cutout of her eye so I could use a brown faux pearl instead.  The sentiment on the front is from the Farmyard Funnies stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.

The inside sentiment is a wooden stamp from Stampabilities that I got at Hobby Lobby. I finished off my card with some bling and a flower from Recollections (Michaels). Sure hope ya'll like my card!!
I also hope that ya'll have been checking out the daily projects that my DT Sisters and Brother have been presenting each day. If not, you are missing out on some awesomeness for sure!!!
And if you have already entered our current challenge at Exploring Cricut, get busy and create something to enter!! You have until 10pm, EST, tonight to link a new project with the theme "Baby It's Cold Outside". Use a cricut cut and make a card, layout or papercraft with anything doing with snow and winter.
Have a fantastic weekend!!! :)

Hoo's having a Birthday!

Evening everyone! Hope ya'll had a great day. Ours was full of rain and cold weather. Not just little rain, but pourdown rain!! We've had this going on for days now and I think we've had enough, but alas, it is suppose to rain for the next two days, too!!! Since I was off work today, and it was raining, I headed to my crafty room to do a little bit of crafting. I made this cute birthday card for one of our grands. And I'm entering it into the challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2. This week they want a Cricut bird and branch. I used the Wild Card 2 cartridge. This is the first time I've cut any of the cards from this one. I went with the owl on the branch that can be found on page 45. I cut it at 4.50 inches as it says to on the page. I think it turned out so cute!!! I did use some glossy accents on the eyes and did some faux stitching around the glasses. On the inside I added a circle scallop that I cut from a Quic Kutz Nesting Flowers Cookie Cutter Die using my Big Kick. I added my sentiment on it. This one can be found on the For The Birds stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I hope ya'll like my card!!! I really hope our granddaughter does! :)

Frosty

Evening!! I spent a good part of my day in my crafty room and got some DT projects done. I also made a card for the Sketchy Friday Challenge at SK Digis. Sonia has a great sketch for this challenge. And the best thing is that you can use any of her digis on your project!! She even has free ones that you can use. I made a 6x6 card and used one of the super cute Ice Cube Snowman digis. I colored him using my Copics. I used B0000, BG-70, E-31 and T-0. I used a Spellbinder's Classic Scalloped Circles Large to cut him out. The bg designer paper is from the Paper Studio-Classic Snowflakes-Blue. It is open stock from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment is from the Snow Day stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. I used a strip of Surf Blue Tulle down the middle of my card and also made a little bow from some. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Baby It's Cold Outside

Hello Everyone!!! And welcome to our first challenge of the New Year at Exploring Cricut. Our challenge theme is 'Baby It's Cold Outside'. For my project, I used the Sesame Street Seasons cartridge. I cut the snowman from page 63 at 4 inches. I hand cut the snow hill that he is sitting on. The sentiments on the front and inside are from the Snow Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. Snowflakes

I missed the last two challenges that Bitten By The Bug 2 had before they took time out for the holidays. Working retail during the holidays makes crafting a hard thing to do. So I am happy that I'm joining in on their first challenge for 2013. The theme is 'Snowflakes'. They want a new project using a Cricut cut of a snowflake. I went with this one from the Paper Trimmings cartridge. It can be found on page 62. I cut the big one at 3.25 inches and the small ones at 1.50 inches. I cut the shift also which makes the background of the snowflake. I ran the snowflake themselves through my Xyron to glue them up good so I could coat them in Sugar Coating LilyWhite Glitter to give them snow sparkle. The bg is embossed with Time Holtz Alterations Snow Flurries embossing folder. I popped up the big snowflake but not the little ones. I put my sentiment on the inside. It is from the Snow Day stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Little Blessing

Welcome to the first challenge of the new year with the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team. Our theme for this first challenge is "Baby New Year". Bet you're thinking a New Years card and it's the 11th already! Noooooo!! Mary asked us to make a card, layout or craft project for a new baby!! And that is our challenge to you. All we ask is that you make a new project. No back links please. And you have longer to join us for our challenge. You have until noon, EST, Thursday, January 24th to link you project. So plenty of time to play along.
For my project I made an A2 card. I cut this darling little bathing baby boy from the Baby Steps cartridge. You can find this little cutie on page 48. I cut him and all of the layers at 3 inches. I did design my card on my Gypsy Girl so I could do some hiding, etc, so I could cut some pieces in different colors. One of the things I hid was the face features. I used a Peachy Keen stamp instead. You can find this darling little face on the Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment PK-450 set. I popped up everything except the sentiment piece. I stamped it, trimmed it down, notched the end and glued it straight down. This sentiment can be found on the "Oh Baby" stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.

Adorable set for those baby cards!!
The bg papers are from a ki Memories-Baby Cakes stack. I've had this one a few years.
Well, that's it for today from me. Head on over to Cardz TV and check out what my DT Sisters have created. Awesomeness for sure!!!!
Then head to your crafty space and create a New Baby project and link it up. Who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win one of Mary's awesome stamp sets!! But you have to enter a project to be in the running!!
Hope ya'll like my card!!!!! :)

Dogs Leave Paw Prints On Your Heart!

Happy Monday everyone!! Today is our first challenge of the year over at Paper Playtime. And do we have a great challenge. Our theme is 'Pets'!! We all love our pets so we have decided to honor them with this challenge. We have 4 dogs. Three are short hair chihuahuas and one is a bassett hound. I couldn't find a bassett hound cut on any of the Cricut cartridges but I did have this chihuahua cut from the Four Legged Friends cart. Our two girls are black with white and our male is white with black. The girls also have gray on them because of age. So that is the color scheme I went with. I cut her at 4.25 inches. She can be found at the #15 spot on the overlay. The Paw Heart on the inside is at the #39 spot on the overlay and I cut it at 1.25 inches. The bg pattern paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle. I used a rhinestone from Recollections on the collar. I also did a little bit of doodling to finish my card off. Head on over to Paper Playtime and check out the creations my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!! Then head to your crafty space and create something representing your pet, be it a card, layout of papercraft. Just make sure it is a new project. No back links please. You have until Sunday, January 20th to link. Oh, I almost forgot. Betcha wanna know what the prize is for this challenge. One lucky ducky will win the 'Royal Sayings Too' stamp set from The Scrapbooking Queen!! You have to enter a project to be in the running, so get to creating!! Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Happy Birthday Son-in-Law

Happy Saturday!! Hope ya'll have had an awesome week. Today it is my turn to present the daily project at Exploring Cricut. Since our son-in-law is having a birthday the first of next week, I thought I'd better get him a card made. It's kinda a joke between me and him about his birthday. I tend to forget it. Not just once, but every year!!! One year I didn't get his card to him until our DD's birthday which is in Feburary!!! So this year I'm gonna give him a shock and have a card early. I used the Create a Critter 2 cartridge for this darling little golfer bear. Our SIL loves to golf so thought this was perfect. He can be found on page 46. I cut him at 3 inches and the green at 3.25 inches. I did a little bit of doodling and finished it off with an Action Wobble. Hope you have been checking out the daily projects that my awesome DT sisters and brother have been presenting each day. If not, head over and take a look. Such wonderful inspiration!! Also, you still have a little time to enter our New Years challenge. You have until 10pm EST tonight to create and link up a new project. Just make sure you use a Cricut cut. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)
