Cardz TV Stamps Design Team-Brew Ha Ha Blog Hop

Oh have we got something great to show y'all!!! Today we are celebrating the newest stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. It is a very special stamp set. It is called Brew Ha Ha. Catchy name huh? Now this set is special because the entire Cardz TV Stamps Design Team helped come up with the stamp sayings. We had a great time hearing what everyone thought and then voting on our most favorites. It was so hard to chose just a few. They were all so good. But I think we have chosen the best and we sure hope y'all think so, too. And you can use them for things besides coffee, tea, etc. Such versatility! Our hop starts right now:Saturday, September 1st-12:01 am EST and ends Sunday, September 2nd-11:59 pm EST. Now if you got here from Kristin's place then you are headed in the right direction. Isn't she so very crafty?! Awesomeness for sure!! If you just happened to stop by for a little visit, why thank you. Would love for you to join us for our hop. Go over to http://www.cardztv.blogspot.com to start from the beginning. Since this is a hop, there just has to be some blog candy involved. Miss Mary will be giving two of her awesome stamps sets to one lucky winner. Go check them out here. She will be announcing the winner on Monday, September 3rd. Now don't miss any of the stops because there will be some blog candy along the way. You will find a picture of what I'm giving at the end of my post. Also there will be a listing of all the stops there as well, so you can find your way if need be.
Now I don't drink coffee, tea or soft drinks. So I wanted to make my card different. I love all of the sayings on this new stamp set, but the 'my cup runneth over!' is just fabulous to me!!! The first thing that came to mind is my cup running over with all the blessings, etc in my life. So I went in that direction with my card. I cut my cup at 2 inches from the Dreams Come True cartridge. It can be found on page 53. I used some paper from Heidi Grace for my cup. The flowers are on one side the the green on the other. I glued down the bottom, sides and handle of my cup and then used a piece of foam tape to pop up the top so I could put my sentiment strips coming out of the top of the cup. Each of the sentiments are from different sets of Mary's stamps except for 'Family'. It was computer generated. Thankful and Blessings are from the Thankful for You set, God is from Encouraging Thoughts set, Faith is from More Encouraging Thoughts and Friends is from the Good Friends set. And my cup runneth over! is from the new Brew Ha Ha set! All of these can be found at Cardz TV Stamps. I then popped up my cup on a mat that I cut using a Spellbinder's Scalloped Ovals. Added some buttons from my stash to the corner. Now your next stop on our hop is Janis. I know you are gonna just love her creation. Awesomeness for sure!!!!  Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Now for my blog candy. I am giving there neat buttons from Tim Holtz to one lucky commenter. I don't require you to be a follower of my blog to win (I won't turn you away if you want to follow me though), but I do request that you have either a United States or Canadian address. I'm sorry about this, but with the cost of postage I just need to limit where I can mail out to. Also, please comment only once and leave me a way to get in touch with you if you should win. Either a blog or email addy. I will announce the winner on Monday, September 3rd.

Exploring Cricut-Daily Project

Happy Saturday!! Hope your weekend has gotten off to a great start. Today just happens to be my day to present the daily project at Exploring Cricut. And do I have a surprise for y'all!!! It isn't a card!!!! You heard me right! I didn't make a card this time!!! We have secret sisters at church and I made this project for mine's August gift. I used the Chip Decor Cartridge. It is exclusive to Hobby Lobby to use with their Paper Studio Chip Decor. Each project in the booklet tells you what size to cut so it will fit. I used the word 'Faith'. First I painted it with white acrylic craft paint. The paper I chose is from Hobby Lobby's open stock. This one is called Faith Text. Since the word Faith is longer than 12 inches I had to piece my paper. Good thing there isn't a set pattern to this paper. The booklet said to cut it at 5.5 inches. I coated part of the work with Modge Podge, put the paper down, lifted up the next part, applied Modge Podge, layed the paper down until I had it all attached. Then I coated the top of the paper with Modge Podge. Now to decorate it but to not over do. First I wanted to cover the seam that the paper piecing made. I used some Fluerettes by Mark Richards for that. Then I added a Prima Flowers Elegance Opal butterfly at the bottom of the 'i' and a Feather Flair from Dress It Up to the bottom of the 'F'. And that's it. Hope you made a project for our Back To School challenge. If you haven't, you have until 9pm, EST, tonight to link one up. I promise I'll come by and admire what you make. And have you been checking out the daily projects that my DT Sisters and Brother have been making? If not, you sure are missing some awesomeness!!! Hope y'all like my project for today. :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Back To School

Back to School seems to be a big topic right now for challenges. The DT's I'm on have done them and now   Bitten By The Bug 2 is doing one for their challenge this week. I decided to go in a little different direction with my card. When school starts here it always means that the kids will be playing sports. Football is first and then the others follow. So I went with the balls 2 cut from the Recess Cartridge. It can be found at the #32 spot on the overlay. I embossed the basketball and football with the Cuttlebug Tiny Mosaic Embossing Folder. The bg paper is open stock from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment I printed on the computer. The two footballs in the corner are brads I picked up at Hobby Lobby. A really quick and simple card. Hope y'all like it!!! :)

Great Give-A-Way at My Crafting Channels

Nana at My Crafting Channel is having this fantastic give-a-way. She is trying to build up her followers so she decided to give away a $150.00 JoAnns Fabric gift certificate. Yeah, you read that right!! She said that when she gets to 250 followers she will do the draw. Now that's one gift certificate that I would love to win!!! So head over there and follow Nana. She is an awesome crafter, too!!! :)

Happy Birthday

One of the sweet young ladies that I work with is having a birthday this Friday, and I just had to make her a card. She is such a very special young lady. She is my head cashier on Thursday nights and we have a really good time. We get our work done, but have fun doing it. I cut the cake from the Smiley Cards that is on my Gypsy Girl. I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder D'Vine Swirl on the icing. The flames of the candles were colored with Spica Glitter Pens. I hid the face features so I could stamp one on. I used the Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps. The bg pattern papers are from DCWV-the Celebrations Stack. I put some Maraschino Twine from The Twinery, around the top of the top layer. My sentiment is from the Mini Messages stamp set from Scrappy Mom's Stamps. I trimmed it down and popped it up over the twine. Then I put the cake on an Action Wobble. I think she will love it!!!
Since I have twine and an action wobble on my card I will be entering it into the Action Wobble challenge. Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)
I couldn't get a real good picture of it wobbling.

The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge #12

WOW! Can you believe it is time for a new challenge at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge!! Seems like we just started the last one! Boy these months are just flying by way to fast!! Our theme for this challenge is 'Back to School'. We would so love for you to create a card, layout, altered item or any creation using a digi and with the theme of 'Back to School'. You have until Saturday, September 22nd. to link you project. All we ask is for it to be a new creation and to follow or theme. I made 4 cards for this challenge. For my first card I used a darling stamp from Bugaboo Stamps. It is called School Bear Pencil Sharpener. So adorable!! I colored it with my Copics and used Spica Glitter Pens for the handle and metal part of the pencil. I printed out two and cut out just the head and arms of one so I could pop it up. Love how that turned out. the sentiments were computer generated. Printed, cut and corners rounded. the little red shaped buttons are some that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The bg tablet paper is frm Sassafras-Bungle Jungle. I'm giving this card to our youngest Grandson. He started Kindergarden this year. The other cards are going to his older brother and two sisters.
The digis I used for the other three cards are all from Pink Cat Studio. The first one is Back to School Betty, the second is Back to School Lily and the last is Back to School Billy. And I have to admit something here. I cheated with these three. Yeah, I used colored digis instead of coloring these myself. My time has been a little limited so I decided to go with the precolored. I love them and the ease. Although, I really love coloring!!! All I did for the two girls is use 2 sizes of Spellbinders Scallop Ovals to cut my mats, stamp the sentiments, trim and round the corners and add some buttons from my stash. For Billy I trimmed and rounded the corners around the digi, stamp, trim and round corners on the sentiment and add the buttons. The bg papers for these are from my stash. Now the sentiment stamps are from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps stamp set School Days. Just perfect for these back to school projects. Now it is your turn. Create, link and then we can come by and admire your craftiness!! Hope y'all like my cards!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Back to School

Happy Monday and welcome to a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. I'm guessing that all the kiddies are back in school by now. Our grands started back last Monday. To celebrate the beginning of a new school year, Diane challenged us to make a card, layout or papercraft with a school theme in primary colors. Now, I have to admit that I was blank about primary colors. I looked at hubby and asked him. We decided they were yellow, red and blue. So to make sure, I googled it. Pretty bad when you are out of school so long that you start to forget the easy stuff like that!! LOL I decided I wanted something different for this card. I turned on my Gypsy Girl and started punching in different school related things to see what the cartridges had on them. I finally decided to go with the Simply Charmed cart. It has several different things. I chose the paper and pencil from page 53 and the scissors and glue from page 54. I didn't use the layers that had the face cutouts because I wanted to stamp my own. My paper is cut at 3.50 inches and the other pieces at 2.25 inches. I popped the glue, scissors and pencil up on one thickness of foam tape. The happy face and sentiment on the paper are from the School Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. These are the best stamps!!! The faces are from the Simple Simons Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps. Pop over to Exploring Cricut and check out what my DT Sisters and Brother have created to inspire you. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Then head to your crafty space and make a Back To School project using Primary Colors and link it up so we can come by and admire it. Just remember, it has to be a new project. No back links please!! You have until 9pm, EST on Saturday September 1st to link.  Hope y'all like my card!!! :)
It was super hard to get a good photo of the card front. Ended up taking it at an angle.

Bitten By The Bug 2-Vacation

Morning Bloggie Friends!!! Thought I'd hop on today and post the card I made for the Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge for this week. Did ya hear that their challenges are for only one week now instead of two? That means I have to really get on the ball every week to get something made and entered!! Their challenge this week is 'Vacation'. We have taken 'Staycations' for so many years now that I wasn't sure what to make. But now this year, I will be going to visit a friend on my vacation and I'll be driving. Soooooo, I decided to once again pull out Hello Kitty Greetings and make the adorable car on page 64. I cut the silhouette, and then all of the layers at 3 inches. The car was cut from Cosmo Cricket-Pixie-Licious-Flower Fields cardstock, The blue bg and the pattern paper I used for the road are from Ki Memories-Little Guy paper pad. I had to have a sun and cloud. Those are also from Hello Kitty Greetings. I realized that I forgot to note what size I cut the sun and cloud. I didn't even make note of the pages they are on. Since I didn't have a stamp that says 'Road Trip' I computer generated it, printed it out on some of the blue paper, trimmed it down and rounded the corners. I took a piece of the pattern paper to back it with. Then to make my card even more fun, I put Hello Kitty and her car on an Action Wobble!! Now how fun is that?! I just love these things!! Okay, that is all. Sure hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #114-"Critter Cuties"

Mary posted a new challenge last Wednesday for the Cricut Cardz Challenge. She wants a card using a 'critter' from any cartridge(s), and using any colors or theme you'd like. Okay, I thought. This should be really easy. Well, the thought was easy, but decided what 'critter' to use wasn't!!! I finally decided to go 'kitty', like in Hello Kitty. I used the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge and cut the Cheerleader Kitty on page 59. I cut her at 4 inches. Two of our granddaughters are cheering again this year so I made of these cards. I decided to go more simple with these. I wanted mats behind Hello Kitty so I cut the shift oblong Dots One on page 34 of the Elegant Edges cartridge. The red one is 5.5 inches, the blue 4.5 inches and the sentiment piece on the inside at 3.5 inches. I added some gemstones from the Paper Studio(Hobby Lobby), and did some doodling with my white gel pen. Then since Hello Kitty is a cheerleader, she just had to be able to move, so I put her on an action wobble!!! The only thing different about my two cards is that I turned the mats on the other one the other way. Had to make a little bit of difference in them. I really think the granddaughter's are gonna love their card!! Hope y'all like it!!! :)

Poor Hello Kitty is gonna be real dizzy!!!

Wobble Wednesday Challenge #23-Christmas

The current challenge over at  Action Wobble Challenge is to create a project, card or layout that has a Christmas theme and of course, an action wobble. I thought of and discarded several ideas before I came up with my card. I went with the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge to cut my cute little decorating birdie. It can be found on page 44. I cut it at 4 inches. The pattern bg paper is from the Paper Studio-Holly Jolly Paper Pack. I decided that my little birdie needed big eyes so I used some black faux half pearls. When I attached the string of lights, I bowed it a little so they would stand out. Couldn't decide how or where to add a sentiment. I decided to accent the 'peace on earth' that was right there on the paper. I used my Fiskers photo corners punch. I punched so I would have four. Two to glue down and two to pop up. I added some buttons from my stash and finished my card by doing a little doodling with my white gel pen. And then of course, I put my little birdie on an action wobble!!! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

It's my turn to present the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. I just love doing these. I can make anything that I want as long as I use a Cricut Cut somewhere on my project. I never seem to have a Thank You card when I need one so I decided to make three. I used Elegant Edges cartridge to cut the sentiment mat on the front of my card. You can find it on page 51. It is the book cut. I cut it at 3 inches. 'Thank You' is a wooden stamp from my stash. The bg pattern paper is from Close To My Heart. Isn't it pretty? I finished my card by adding Say It In Crystals. I used three different sets. That's it. Hope you have been checking out the daily projects that my DT Sister's and Brother have been presenting. Awesomeness for sure!! Also, if you haven't entered our challenge yet, you still have time. Just create a new project with at least 2 Cricut cuts and 1 monogram. Bitten By The Bug 2-Elephantly Speaking

I made this card for the new challenge that started 'today' over at Bitten By The Bug 2. The challenge is to make a project using an elephant from any cartridge and any theme you choose. I fired up my Gypsy Girl and typed in elephant to see which cartridges have them. I decided to go with the Pooh and Friends Cartridge. I cut Lumpy from page 35 at 3.5 inches. I hid the eye cutouts so I could use these tiny black faux half pearls instead. It messed up when it cut the tuff of hair so I recut it and the tail. The extra tail I popped up. Also did a little bit of doodling with my white gel pen. The two patterned papers are from K&Company Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl Paper Pad. I was thrilled when I found the elephant paper in it!! I used Spellbinder's Scalloped Ovals and cut the mat and the piece for the sentiment and the pieces on the inside. The sentiment is from the 'Sweet Talk' stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I finished off my card by adding some pink faux half pearls. I think this will be perfect when I need the next baby girl card. Bet y'all didn't expect to see a card from me this quickly, did ya?! Hope ya like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Monogram

Hello and Happy Monday!!! Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was a little busy but good. It's time for the new challenge at Exploring Cricut. We would love for you to make a card, layout or papercraft that contains 2 cricut cuts and a monogram. You can use any Cricut Cartridge('s) that you want for this challenge. Please new projects only. No back links. Our next to the youngest grandson loves firetrucks and since his birthday is coming up I decided to get his card made and use a firetruck. I cut this firetruck from the Beep Beep cartridge. It is in the #7 spot on the overlay. I cut it at 2.25 inches. I cut extra ladders so I could pop it up. The mat behind the firetruck can also be found on the Beep Beep cartridge. It is in the #42 spot on the overlay. I cut it twice at 3 inches. I ran the top on through my Big Kick using the Cuttlebug Polka Dots Embossing Folder and then popped it up on top of the other one. I then popped the firetruck up on the mat and added some glossy accents to the siren light, the headlight and the hose nozzle. The 'J' was cut from the Art Nouveau cartridge at 2 inches. It can be found on page 48. I did some doodling on it and then popped it up. The bg paper is from Ki Memories-Little Guy Paper Pad. I added the sentiment to the inside of my card. It is from the Happy Days stamp set from Mary-CardzTV Stamps. (Mary's new July releases are now shipping so hop over and check them out!!!!) I also added a ladder and a 'J' cut at 1.25 inches to the inside. Head over to Exploring Cricut and check out what my DT Sisters and Brother have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! You have until 9pm, EST, Saturday, August 18 to link up your creation. So looking forward to coming by and checking it out!! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Balloon

Evening everyone!! Got into my crafty room after church today. Sure have missed it most of this past week. Busy one at work and no time to craft. I made a card for a couple of challenges. First is Bitten By The Bug 2. Their challenge that started last Monday is Fly Away!-Hot Air Balloon. Make a project using a Cricut cut of a Hot Air Balloon. And if you don't have a cart with one on it, you can opt to use an airplane. The other challenge I am entering is the one over at Action Wobbles Challenge. For their challenge you are to have something on your project that starts with a 'B' and of course an action wobble. I pulled out my Pop-Up Neighborhood Cartridge to cut my Hot Air 'B'alloon. It can be found on page 69 in the booklet. I cut the one on the front at 4 inches and the one for the inside at 2 inches. I decided to step outside of my funsey cards zone and went with some Tim Holtz Lost And Found paper for my cuts and bg papers. The brown card base and sentiment piece are from my stash. Check out the map on the balloon!! I placed it so the United States would be where it can be seen. Pretty cool huh?!! I inked everything with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Ink. The sentiment is from the Ticket Talk 2 stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. Then I mounted my Balloon on an action wobble!! So fun!!!!!! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Back To School

The challenge at Action Wobbles challenge site is to make a project using an action wobble and school themed. My card fits both challenges nicely. I cut the school bus from the Beep Beep cartridge. It can be found at the #15 place on the overlay. I cut it at 3 inches. I used some glossy accents on the head light and on the windows. I put some red candy dots from Peebles on the wheels. The bg paper is from the open stock at Hobby Lobby. The sentiment is from the School Days stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. (Mary's new July releases are now shipping so head over and check them out!!!) And of course my school bus is on an action wobble!!! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)
My bus on the move!!!

Paper Playtime-Die Cut Creations #81-Hot & Spicy

It's the first Monday of the month so we are having a new Die Cut Creations challenge at Paper Playtime. This means that you are to create any creation as long as it has a die cut on it. We aren't picky about the die cut machine you use, we just want you to use one. Also, please follow the theme which is Hot & Spicy for this challenge. Interpret any way you wish: weather, food, etc. Also, please make a new creation. No back links please. Our sponsor for this challenge is The Robin's Nest, with a $15 gift certificate. Head over and check out the great stuff she has. I so love the dew drops!!
I decided to cut the hot air balloon on page 69 from the Pop-Up Neighborhood cartridge for my 6x6 card. I cut all of the layers at 4 inches. The bg designer papers are from my Mind's Eye-Lime Twist-Out of the Blue-6x6 designer cardstock paper pad. I love this piece with the hot air balloons on it. Thought it was just perfect for my card. I did some faux stitching with my white gel pen. I added these great Cherry Chocolate Drop Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest to the balloon, corners and inside of my card. I finished my card with this great sentiment from the Of Mice & Lil Men stamp set from K Andrew Designs.
