The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge-#10

WOW! I can't believe it is the last Monday of June already!!! Seems like yesterday was the last Monday of May!!! Well, we all know what it means when it's the last Monday of the month, don't we?! Time for The Scrabooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge!! This is an anything goes challenge this go around.  This month we are using some wonderful stamps from DRS Designs. You need to hurry over there and check out their stamps. They have rubber and digi stamps and other things. I have the honor of using the Mind and Prayers Greetings and the Butterfly Corner stamps. I so love both of these. I decided to use them together on my card. But they would be wonderful using seperately also. I stamped the Butterfly Corner and then colored it using my Copics and Spira Pens. I wanted a little bit of sparkle to the butterfly and flower center. I love my Spira Pens for that. The Mind and Prayers Greeting I stamped along the bottom of my card. Then I added the faux pearl flourish to the open area to finish my card. This can be used for a thinking about you card, a sympathy card or just about anything kind of card you might need. I added a little bit of the pearl flouish on the inside. Head over and check out the creations my DT Sisters created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Then head into your crafty space and create something for us to come by and admire! And who know, you just might win the prize this month!!! You have until 12pm., Saturday, July 28th to link. Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Daily Project-Good Day Sunshine

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! Today it is my turn to present the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. Hope you have been checking out all of the daily projects. You're missing out if you aren't!! Also, you still have time to get your project linked for our current challenge. You have until 9pm, EST, tonight. Today I want to share a card with you. I used the Enjoy The Seasons Imagine cartridge. I printed and cut the sun from page 11 at 3 1/2 inches. I also printed and cut an extra pair of the sunglasses so I could pop them up. I went in hunt of some flowers to use. I found them and the clouds on the Give A Hoot cartridge. All can be found on page 59. I cut them at 3 inches. I used my Gypsy Girl so I could seperate the flowers so I could have different colors for the flower blooms. I hid the face features so I could use the Wide Eyed Kids stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps. I used my Fiskars punch for the grass. The sentiment is from the Sun Kissed stamp set from Scrappy Mom's. I used some white ink on a makeup sponge and dabbed it around to look like wispy clouds. I finished off with a little bit of doodling. Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Cardz TV Stamps Design Team Challenge #11-Anything Goes

It's time for a new challenge for the Cardz TV Stamps Design Team. And this one is so easy peasy. It is 'Anything Goes'!! Use any theme and colors you'd like. This challenge runs from June 22nd until midnight on June 24th. Mary will pick and post the winner on Monday, June 25th. And what does the winner get, you may ask. Well.....one of Mary's stamp sets of their choice, of course!!! You can go check them all out right here. I'll wait on ya while you go and look. Well, I was beginning to think you got lost over there!!! Pretty awesome stamp sets aren't they??!!! I sure do love using them!! For my card I used the Animal Kingdom cartridge. I cut the pig on page 83. Then I went to the 3 Birds-Straight From The Nest cartridge and cut the wings from page 43. See where I'm going with this? The bg paper is from my stash. I went a hunting and pulled it out. The piece behind my pig is I ran through my Cuttlebug using a Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities-Scalloped Oval. This is my last piece of this great cloud paper. Hobby Lobby doesn't have it any more!! I popped up the middle of the top wing and glued the back one. I hid the eye cutouts using my Gypsy Girl so I could use google eyes instead. Then I put here on an action wooble!!! Yeah!! Goes perfectly with the Critter Captions stamp that I used!!! The buttons are from my stash and I put some Blossom Twine from The Twinery in the holes and then attached them with glue dots. That's it!!! I had so much fun making this card!!! Not sure who I will send it to, but I bet I will come up with someone who would get a real kick out of it!!! Head over to Cardz TV and check out what my DT Sisters created for this challenge! Awesomeness for sure!! Then get to creating! Can't wait to come by and check out what you make!! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

My Pig Flies!!!!

Hello Kitty-Card Two

I'm gonna rush and get this card posted before I have to get ready for work. Go here if you want to see Card One. Again I am joining Mary-Cardz TV in seeing how many cards I can make from my neglected Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. For this card I cut the Strawberry on page 32. As before, I used Mary's awesome tip about cutting the blackout, the silhouette and the pieces. They all fit together so much better and make the cuts look so so much neater!! Thank You Mary!!!! I again cut my pieces at 3 inches and 1.75 inches. I dotted the black pits on the strawberry with some Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles. Then I wrapped some Peapod Twine from The Twinery up the side of my card and tied a twine bow. My sentiment is from Mary's-Cardz TV Stamps Garden Greetings set. I popped the sentiment piece and the strawberry up on one thickness of foam tape and finished off my card with some green faux pearls from Recollections (Michaels). The bg designer paper I used on this card is from Cosmo Cricket-Garden Variety Stack.
Pull out one of your neglected cartridges and see how many cards you can make from it!! Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Hello Kitty-Card One

Mary of Cardz TV  is doing a series of cards using her Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. She wants to see how many cards she can make from this one cartridge. She kinda issued a challenge for you to see how many you can make either from your HKG or any cartridge that you have neglected. I decided to see what I could do with my HKG cartridge. I decided I would add on the challenge of using Mary's Cardz TV Stamps on my cards. I just so love all of Mary's stamps. And if you haven't seen any of them, or own any of them, hop over and take a look. I'll wait............See, told ya!!
I hopped into my crafty room and designed a couple of cards last night and this morning I cut and put them together. I will be showing you my first one in this post and in a little while I will show you the other one.
For this first card I decided to cut the cherries on page 31. I cut them at 3 inches and 1.75 inches. Mary gave the awesome tip of cutting the blackout and the silhouette and then the pieces. I so loved doing it that way!! The pieces fit right where they should go and look so much neater!! Thank you Mary for that awesome tip!!! I dug around in my scrap bin to get the pieces for my cherries. The cherry bg paper is from the open stock at Hobby Lobby by Paper Studio. It is called Cherries. I used some Glossy Accents on the cherries and on the little pink pieces, I used some Clear Rock Candy Distress Stickles. I wrapped some Maraschino Twine from The Twinery around the bottom. I stamped my sentiment using Mary's Garden Greetings stamp set. Popped it and the cherries up on one thickness of foam tape, added some red faux pearls from Recolletions (Michaels).
Why don't you pull out one of your neglected cartridges and see how many cards you can make from it!!
Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Birthday and Pearls

The challenge issued by Bitten By The Bug 2 this week is to make a card, layout or 3-D project using any cartridge and any colors as long as it's made with the Cricut. And the theme is Birthdays and Pearls. Your project has to do with birthdays and have pearls on it. Now, this isn't my most favorite card that I've ever made. It isn't the worst I've made either! You sure wouldn't want to see that!!! I went with the Once Upon A Princess cartridge for my cuts for this card. Even the tags I used for my sentiment piece on the front!! The Happy Birthday was cut at 3 inches. I embossed the blue layer with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and did a little bitty bit of doodling on the present. The tags were cut at 1.75 inches. My sentiment is from the Encouraging Thoughts stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. The bg paper is from Sassafras-Bungle Jungle. I popped up the sentiment piece. I finished off my card with the pearls. I added one for the 'i' since it didn't seem to have a dot. If it did, I don't know where it went!! That's it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Rose

Hope all is well with my bloggy friends!! I have finally gotten my card done for the challenge that Bitten By The Bug 2 issued last week. It is to create a card, layout or 3-D project with a Cricut rose on it. I struggled with this one. Flowers aren't easy for me. So I got my Gypsy Girl and did a search for roses and decided on the cuts from Shall We Dance. They have this great single rose and this nice, I guess it is suppose to be a bouquet. I decided to go with both cuts. I did flip the single rose to face the other direction. I did all of my cuts at 2.25 inches. The rose on the inside is cut at 1.5 inches. The card shape, the bg paper and the sentiment piece are from Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Ten. I'm so loving doing these shaped cards from the Nestabilities!!! The bg paper is from Close To My Heart. My friend Lucy can hook you up with anything Close To My Heart that you might want or 'need'! The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Mini Messages stamp set. I popped the roses up on one thickness of foam tape and the sentiment is on two thicknesses. I finished off my card with some white faux pearls. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
Come back by tomorrow evening and I'll show you my card I made for the challenge issued this week.

Paper Playtime-Say It With Sentiments-Anything Goes

The third Monday of the month is here and we all know what that means!! Time for a new Say It With Sentiments challenge at Paper Playtime. The theme this go around is the easy peasy 'Anything Goes'!!! Just make sure you have a sentiment on it!! And we have a great sponsor this challenge. It is Freckled Fawn. They have the best Washi Tape!! I have never used it before and I'm so thrilled with the roll that I have. You will see it on my card. They also have ribbon and tags and other things, too. One lucky crafter will win a $15 gift certificate to Freckled Fawn. How fun is that?! You do have to enter our challenge and be a follower of Paper Playtime to be in the running for the prize. Also, please new projects, no back links. Okay, now onto my card. Since my Washi Tape has clouds and hearts on it (you will find it at the top of my card front and the top of the sentiment piece on the inside), I decided to go in that directions. I found this wonderful cloud paper at Hobby Lobby. It is from My Mind's Eye. I cut some clouds from the Create A Critter cartridge at 2 inches and some from the Simply Charmed cartridge at 1.75 inches. The hearts are cut from the Sweethearts cartridge at 1.25 inches. I also sprayed my clouds with Shimmer Spritz Sparkle and the hearts with SS Frost. The sun is from the Inkadinkado stamp set-kid quotes. The sentiment is from the Good Friends stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I popped up a set of each of the clouds to give it just a little dimension. That's it! Now it is your turn. Head over to Paper Playtime and check out the creations my DT Sister have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! And then get to your crafty space and create!! You have until noon, EST on Saturday, June 30th to link. Hope y'all like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Summer Fun

Oh do we ever have a great challenge for you today at Exploring Cricut!! We would love for you to make a card, layout or papercraft using at least '3' cricut cuts, '2' pattern papers and '1' embellishment of a summer fun activity, vacation, etc. You will have until 9pm, EST, Saturday June 23rd to link up your creations. Please link new creations. No back links. For this challenge I made a .....just wait....drum roll please..........a layout!!! Yeah!!! Not a card, but a layout!!! And I had fun making it!!! I just love all of the fancy layouts that I see out there, but that just doesn't seem to be my style. I go more for the simple. I do use bling on mine. Sometimes lots and sometimes a little, but most of mine are simple. For this one I used the Life Is A Beach cartridge. I cut the pail on page 60. Cut an extra shovel, sand and pail handle. And the flip flops from page 64. I cut extra straps. I also used the Elegant Edges cartridge. I cut the 'Hearts 2' cut on page 41. I cut the shift-oblong and it's shadow. All of my cuts were cut at 4.75 inches. The extra pail handle and flip flop straps I glued the ends of the handle and the tips of the straps and popped the rest of it up and popped up the extra bit of sand. I used these great Recollections Rhinestones that I picked up at Michaels. Wish I had gotten more of these. The Elegant Edges pieces are for photos. That's it. Please check out what my DT Sisters have created for your inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! And then link up your creation so we can come by and admire it!! Hope y'all like my layout!!!! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge-"I'm so glad, you're my Dad!"

This is my last Father's Day card for this year. I whipped this one up Saturday morning. I had to work that night and there is a young lady at work that I wanted to make a card for her to give to her Dad. Her Dad raised her, her brother and sister. One of the things that she loves to do is watch football with him. She talks about it every football season. So that is what I built my card upon. It is 6x6. Using the Wrap It Up cartridge I cut the phrase feature that goes with the football. It is the last item in the booklet. Sorry, I don't have a page number for you. I also cut the shift feature. Both were cut at 4 inches. The bottom layer (so to speak) has the football and the top layer has the seam and the ends of the football and an overlay (that's what I call them) for the phrase itself. I ran the football part through my Cuttlebug using the Tiny Mosaic embossing folder. I placed my piece with the football in the bottom corner and the phrase part hanging out of the folder. I think it turned out pretty good doing it that way. Then I glued the top layer down. I did not do any popping on this card because the phrase was to thin. The bg designer paper is from DCWV-The Guy Stack. Then I dug through my button jar until I found three buttons that I liked together. I put those on with glue dots. On the inside I used a Mary-Cardz TV Stamps stamp. It is from the Father's Day set.
I will be entering my card into the Cricut Cardz Challenge-#110. Make a card for Father's Day using any cartridge(s) and using any colors you'd like.
And she loved the card!! Hope ya'll like it!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Oh it's Saturday and I am off!! Whoo Hoo!!! Before I get started cleaning and doing laundry I wanted to show ya what I made for my turn at the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. On the shopping trip we took Memorial Day weekend I also bought the Noah's ABC Animals cartridge. I was in need of a young man birthday card so I used the lion that you can find on page 44. I cut him at 2 1/4 inches along with his layers. Some of the layers I used the hide contour on my Gypsy Girl to separate so I could cut different colors. My bg designer cardstock is from DCWV-Safari Kids Matstack. The brad in the corner is also from a set that goes with the Safari Kids cardstock. I clipped the prongs off and mounted it on my card with a 3D glue dot. That way I didn't have to worry about the brad on the back. My sentiment is from Critter Captions stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. You can never go wrong with any of Mary's stamp sets. Hop over and check them out, I'll wait on ya...............told ya didn't I?! I used a punch for the sentiment piece. That's it. I hope you have been checking out all of the daily projects that my DT Sisters have been posting all week. If not, go check them out. You'll be glad you did. Awesomeness for sure!! Also, if you have not entered our challenge, you still have time to create and link. You have until 9pm, EST, tonight. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
I put a brad on the inside just like I did on the front, but no matter what I did, I could not get a clear picture. I took so many and not a one turned out, so only a picture of the front this time.

Click here. I'll wait on you while you look. I told you they are fabulously awesome didn't I?! Bet you saw a set or two or three or maybe even more that you would love to own. You just might if you are the lucky one chosen. But you do have to enter our challenge to have the chance. Now onto my card. I used the Nifty Fifties cartridge. I cut the truck that can be found on page 61. I cut it at 2 inches and all of it's layers. I cut some extra wheels to use on the inside. I did some popping and a little bit of doodling to finish up my truck. The sentiment is from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps "Father's Day" stamp set. My bg patterned papers are from the DCWV-The Guy Stack. I stamped my sentiment on a piece of the light blue paper like I used for parts of the truck and then layered the same patterned papers under it. I dug until I found 3 buttons that were alike in just the right colorm I' real pleased with how well it turned out. I am so looking forward to seeing what you create for our challenge. Would love for you to check out the projects that my DT Sisters created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Water

Hello!!!! Hope all is going well with ya'll! Over at Bitten By The Bug 2  the challenge that started over there yesterday is 'Water'. Make a water card or project. Now, I know that most people think about swimming, sailing, waterslides, etc. when you hear water. I think-drinking water. Let me explain. Several of us at work have switched from drinking soft drinks to drinking water with Crystal Light in it. Some have been at it for a while, I switched a few months ago. It's hard to drink plain water and the Crystal Light doesn't taste like Kool-Aid (which I do not like). It makes drinking the water really easy. I haven't had a diet Mt. Dew since I switched. I've had tea once and it just didn't taste the same. I'm really enjoying the water and I do drink milk. Sunday when I was at work with another of the water/Crystal Light drinkers, one of our fellow employees came in and said she was getting off the soft drinks and going to the water/Crystal Light and wanted to know which we liked the best. We both agree that the Citrus flavors are the best. And Strawberry right behind that. So when I saw that the theme for their new challenge was water, I knew I just had to make our new recruit a card of encouragement! I used the Block Party Lite cartridge for the glass which I cut at 5.75 inches. (We usually just pour ours into our water bottles), but a glass works, too. I did cut the straw off. And since I designed my card on my Gypsy Girl, I hid the bubbles that were in the glass contents. I used the George cartridge to make my Crystal Light packets. I crimped the ends just a little and hand wrote on them. The sentiment is from the It's All About You stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I made my shaped card using my Cuttlebug and a Spellbinders Grand Labels Four die. I used the size smaller for the bg pieces. Oh, my glass is full of Water with Citrus Crystal Light in it!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Paper Playtime-Delicious Die Cuts-Vacation

Well, here it is, the first Monday in June and time for a new challenge at Paper Playtime. As is the norm for the first Monday of each month-it is the Delicious Die Cuts turn. Make sure you use a die cut on your card somewhere. Now, it doesn't have to be a Cricut cut. It can be from any die cut machine. I have the honor of sponsoring the challenge. I will be giving away 2-6x6 paper pads. They are the Lost & Found-Union Square and Madison Avenue. Great papers in these!!

The theme of our challenge is "Make a Vacation card". For my card I started with a cardbase that I cut using my Cuttlebug and a Grand Nestabilities Grand Labels Four die. I love the shape. My great friend Sherrie of Sherrie Scraps makes the most awesome shape cards. I am always in awe of her creations. Go check them out. Awesomeness for sure!!!! I used the next to the smallest size for my card shape (makes it just a little smaller than an A2 card) and then used the smallest size for my bg piece. I then got busy designing my card. I used the Life is a Beach cartridge. I cut the sailboat on page 57 at 3.75 inches. I also cut the sun that can be found on page 44. Using the hide contour on my Gypsy Girl, I hide the face features and cut it at 1.25 inches. I then used a Happy Lashes face from Peachy Keen Stamps in place of the face I hid. The sentiment is from the Fun in the Sun stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. Go check them out. You'll be glad you did. Especially if you purchase some and try them out. I finished off my card by doing some faux stitching and popping the sailboat and sun up. Now, we really are in high hopes that you decide to join our challenge. We so love to see what you create. You have until noon, EST, on Saturday June 16th to link your card. Please no back links. New creations only. Also, due to the cost of postage, I can only mail in the US or to Canada. I'm really sorry about that! Although you don't have to be a follower of my blog to win, you do need to be a follower of Paper Playtime. Hop over and check out the cards that my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! Then hop into you crafty area and create a Vacation card!!! Sure hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Father's Day

Happy Monday one and all!!!! Hope ya had a great weekend. Mine was spent at work, but that's okay. I'll be off this coming weekend. We have a great challenge this week at Exploring Cricut. Our theme is "Father's Day". We would love for you to make a card, layout or papercraft project for Father's Day using 2 Cricut cuts. Yeah, you heard me right. Two Cricut cuts. Memorial Day weekend Hubs and I went out of town to do some Joanns and Michaels shopping. It had been about a year since I've done this. I bought the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge. I just had to use it to make my project for this challenge. I always give my Dad a gift card for Father's Day. He knows what he's getting every year. I try to come up with different and unique ways to give it to him. I made the shirt shaped box on age 44. I used my Gypsy Girl and filled the page as much as it would hold. It ended up being 11.16 height x 11.78 width. I used cardstock from DCWV-The Guy Stack for all of my cuts. Since the cardstock is one sided I turned it upside down on my mat to cut so the pattern would be on the outside. I inked all of the edges with Tim Holz Tea Dye Ink. And since the collar would show white when it was turned down, I inked it really well. I think it looks just fine. I used the hide contour so I could cut the shirt, the tie and the pocket seperately. I then cut the shadow and phrase that is also on page 44. I cut them at 2 1/2 inches. I used the hide contour again so I could cut the collar part of the 'T' to match the shirt. I again used cardstock from the DCWV stack. I made a 4 1/4 x 3 inch card using the same cardstock that I cut the tie from as my bg. I'm gonna love using this cartridge!!!  Hop over to Exploring Cricut and check out what my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!! And then get to creating. You gotta have something for Father's Day anyways, so why not make it now?! You have until 9pm, EST, Saturday June 9th to link up your creation. I'm so looking forward to coming by and seeing what you make. I hope ya'll like my little box and card!!!! :)
