Bitten By The Bug 2-Garden

Well I'm back!! I made both of my cards today for the challenges at Bitten By The Bug 2 so that is why I'm posting again. The challenge that started yesterday is to make a project using the theme "Garden". Hubby has planted us an awesome garden again this year. We are already enjoying squash and he's been eating cucumbers. I noticed we had beans when I was out there a while ago. The corn is tasseling and have fuzz where the ears will be. Now if the tomatoes will just hurry up, I'll be happy!!! Okay, enough of my rambling. I used the Pooh and Friends cartridge to cut my vegetables. They can be found on page 32. I cut them at 3 1/4 inches. I used a Snow Cutie Face from Peachy Keen Stamps, on my tomato. The sentiment is from the All Girl stamp set from Pink By Design. The bg papers are from Cosmo Cricket-Garden Variety. I hope ya'll like my card! I sure like this one better that the other. You can find it just below this post or go here. :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Kitchen

I had decided that I wasn't gonna post this card. I'm really not happy with it at all. You know how you have something in your head but it doesn't work out on paper? That's this card. I figured I would just try and fit in some time at some point to make another card for this challenge, but with the way my work schedule is this week and this coming weekend, I won't have time, so here it is. The theme for this challenge that started last week at Bitten By The Bug 2 is "Your Kitchen". Make a project based on something you find in your kitchen. I cut these oven mitts from the From My Kitchen cartridge. It can be found on page 53. I used the flip feature on my Gypsy Girl for one of them so the 'thumbs' could face each other. My bg papers are from Cosmo Cricket-Garden variety. I used some Buttercream twine from The Twinery at the bottom on my card. The sentiment is from the Of Mice & Lil Men stamp set from K. Andrew Designs. And that's it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge #9-Father/Guy Thing

It's that time of the month again! You know, the last Monday. First I want to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day!! Praise The Lord for our men and women who have and are serving our country and for fighting for our freedom!! Now, on to the other reason I'm here this morning. Today is the start of a new challenge at The Scrabooking Queen's Royal Digi Challenge. For challenge #9 we would love for you to create something, using a digi with the theme Father/Guy Thing.
Since June is Father's Day month I just had to make Father's Days cards. I made 2 cards.
For my first card I made a 6x6 card and used a Meljen's Designs digi stamp called Number One Dad Stitched. I colored it with my Copics and then cut it out using a Spellbinder's Nestabilities Large Octagon. The bg designer papers are from DCWV The Guy Stack. I added some buttons from my stash. The inside sentiment is from the Father's Day stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
For my other card I used a digi from Pixie Dust Studio called Fishing Friends. I used my Copics to color this digi also. Then I cut it out with a Spellbinders Grand Nestablities Grand Labels Four. I didn't want to make a really big card so I went with another 6x6 and angled the digi. The larger bg designer paper is from atd Family Outings and the other pieces are from my scrapbin. The sentiment is from the Father's Day stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps.
Please hop over and check out the creations that my DT Sisters made for some inspiration. I'm tellin' ya that there is true awesomeness for sure over there!!!! Then hop into your crafty space and create something to link up for us to come by and admire. You have until 12pm, Saturday, June 23rd to link.
I sure hope ya'll like my cards!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Click here if you are hunting the Cardz TV Challenge.

Happy Saturday!!!! Hope you are having a great weekend. I plan on it. Hopefully by getting into my crafty room. It feels neglected. Haven't been in there much this past week. Work got in the way. It's my turn to present the daily project at Exploring Cricut. Sure hope ya'll have been checking out what my DT Sister's daily projects. Some awesomeness for sure!!! Also, don't forget to get your creation linked for our current challenge. It ends at 9pm EST tonight. You just might be the one to win the Cricut Cartridge!
On to my card. Keeping with the theme of our challenge, I used a cartridge that I had only used once before and also used my Imagine again. I used the Hey Diddle Diddle Imagine Cartridge. I printed and cut the flowers and bird from page 23 at 5 inches. And I printed and cut the sun from page 8 at 3 inches. I sure don't use my Imagine enough!! It was so easy to just print and cut and then put my card together! The sentiment is from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps More Encouraging Thoughts Stamp Set. I did some popping and called my card done. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
I'm so sorry that these are not the best pictures in the world. I took so many and believe it or not, these were the best!!!

Cardz TV Challenge # 9-"Say I DO"

I'm so excited!! It is time for a new challenge at Cardz TV. Our theme this time is "Say I DO". We would love for you to join us and make a card, favor or craft project for an engagement, wedding shower or wedding. This came at a perfect time as I just found out a sweet man that I use to work with will be getting married in July. This is the card I made for them. I started out with a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of white cardstock. Folded in half makes a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 A2 size card. I than added a 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 piece of designer paper from graphic 45-Romantique. Using the Elegant Edges Cartridge, I cut the oval and it's shadow on page 29 at 3 inches. I than cut the 'W' monogram on page 35 from the Tie The Knot Cartridge at 2 inches. I popped up the monogram and then popped up the Elegant Edges piece. I punched some butterflies using my Martha Stewart punch. I used the same paper that I used for the monogram for the bottom piece and the dp for the top piece. I glued the bottom down and just the middle of the top so I could fold the wings up after putting some faux half pearls down the middle. I finished off the front of my card by putting some Prima Say it in Pearls on it. I put my sentiment on the inside. I used Greater Love stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. These Bible Verses are fantastic!! I thought, 'Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:7, 8 were just perfect for a wedding card. I hope my friend thinks so, too. Hop over and check out the fabulous creations my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!!  Now, we really would love to see your "Say I DO" creation. Make sure it is a new project, no back links please. And who knows, you just might be the one to win the set of Cardz TV Stamps of your choice that Mary is giving away. Now this challenge goes from May 25th until midnight, EST on May 27th. So looking forward to seeing what you create!!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!!!! :)

Paper Playtime-Say It With Sentiments Challenge-Friendship

Time for a new challenge at Paper Playtime. Since it is the 3rd Monday of the month, it is the Say It With Sentiments challenge. Our theme for this challenge is Friendship Card. We sure hope you decide to join us. We have two great sponsors for this challenge. Our first sponsor is our very own Amy. She will be giving away the card that she has made plus a card kit so you can make another one just like it. Our other sponsor is our very own Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Castle Shoppe. She will be giving the Nursery Stamp Set & a pack of 4 Action Wobbles. So get busy making a Friendship Card!! But before you get started, why don't you take a look at my card!! I used the Create-a-Critter cartridge. I cut the alligator, the bird and the sun. I used my Gypsy Girl so I could hide the eyes. I used oval goggle eyes on the alligator and a little goggle eye on the bird. For the sun, I stamped it's face with a Snow Cuties' Face Assortment stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps and then put it on an Action Wobble. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's stamp set Mini Messages. I used a punch to make the tag for the sentiment. I added a small grommet and used some Cantaloupe Twine from The Twinery for a tie on the tag and wrapped some around the bg designer paper on my card. The bg designer paper is from the DCWV Safari Kids Mat Stack.
Head over and take a look see at what my DT Sisters have created. Awesomeness for sure!!! They are so talented!!!! Then head to your craft space and make a Friendship Card and then link it up so we can drop by and admire it!! You have until noon EST on Saturday, May 2nd. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
I tried to get a picture of the Action Wobble, in action, but I just wasn't fast enough without the picture being blurry.

Exploring Cricut-Cricut Choice

Time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. And what a fun challenge we have for ya'll this time!!! It is "Cricut Choice"!! Use a cartridge that you have not used or used very litte and create a card, layout or any papercraft. I decided to use my Imagine to create my card. I used the Lori's Garden cartridge. I think this is like my second time to use it. Now why haven't I used it more?! I started with a piece of 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch piece of kraft paper, folded it in half to make an A2 size card. I rarely use kraft paper on my projects, but thought it would be great for this card. I cut the Hummingbird on page 6 at 2 inches. I also cut the flowers on page 13. I cut those at 4 inches. I did a lot of popping on this card. My sentiment is from the Encouraging Thoughts stamp set from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. I stamped it on kraft paper and then trimmed it down. The bg designer paper I used is from My Mind's Eye-Lost & Found-Union Square 6x6 pad. I really hope you join us for our challenge. You have until 9pm EST, Saturday, May 26th to link your creation. Can't wait to come by and admire what you make. Make sure you go check out my DT Sisters creations. Awesomeness for sure!!!!  Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Bakery

I really enjoyed creating my card for the challenge this week at Bitten By The Bug 2.  Their challenge is to make a project using anything you would find in a bakery. You just have to make sure you use a Cricut Cut. I decided to make an apple pie. The pie is cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I cut it twice and then pieced it together to get the pie plate a different color. The apples I cut from the Country Life cartridge. The bg paper is from a Martha Stewart stack I found in my stash. The twine is Buttercream from The Twinery. And the sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Girls Just Want To Have Fun stamp set. I finished off my card with a tiny heart button from my stash. That's all folks!!! Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Exploring Cricut-Daily Project

Happy Weekend!!! Hope you are having a good one and that it is sunny and beautiful where you are.
It just so happens to be my turn to present the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut! I decided to use the Four Legged Friends cartridge this time. I haven't used this one in a while. I got this new stamp set called Little Critters from Scrappy Mom's and just had to use a stamp from it! So I cut this adorable mouse. It can be found at the #27th spot on the overlay. I cut him at 3 1/4 inches. I then popped him up. I added some Sassafras Blossoms in the corner. They came with the buttons already on them. The bg paper came from First Edition-Spring Feast Paper Pad. It came with this great design on it, so I let it do part of the work on my card. Hope you entered a creation in our challenge. If you haven't, you have until 9pm EST tonight to get something created and entered. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Frame

The challenge that started this week over at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to make a scrapbook layout using a Cricut frame on it. But they did say that if scrapbooking isn't your thing, just make a project using a Cricut frame on it. I made an 8x8 layout page. I used the Elegant Edges cartridge to make my frame. Since I used my Gyspy Girl to design my layout, I didn't pull out the cartridge or the booklet. It can be found at the #10 spot on the overlay. I used the oblong frame feature. I cut it at 6 1/2 inches. The designer paper that I used to cut the top frame piece from is First Edition-Spring Feast. I used 2 of the little butterflies that cut out in the top right corner. I used faux half pearls on them and on the butterfly cutouts on the frame. MeeMee was welded together using letters from the Ashlyn's Alphabet cartridge. I used some pink Prima Say It In Pearls and the big butterfly is also from Prima. Guess I'm gonna have to get an up-to-date photo of myself made to add to the frame. Hope ya'll like my layout page!!!! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #107

Go here to join my Blogaversary Give-a-Way.

The current challenge at Cricut Cardz Challenge is called "There's no other, like my Mother". They want a card for Mother's Day and you can use any cartridge and colors that you'd like. I went with 3 Birds-Straight From The Nest cartridge. I cut the birds in two sizes to have a Momma and a Baby. The bg designer paper is from October Afternoon. My sentiment is from Mary's Cardz TV Stamps. I used the Mother's Day set. I finished off my card by adding the button in the corner. I got it from my stash. I do believe it came from Hobby Lobby. That's it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2 Ice Cream Cone

Go here for my Blogaversary Give-a-Way.

Oh I love Ice Cream!! My most favorite is Dutch Chocolate that Blue Bell makes. Makes the best milk shakes, but good to just eat, too! So when I saw the challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 was to make a project using the Ice Cream Cone from any Cricut cartridge, I was excited. Now this is the challenge that started Monday of last week. Yeah, I'm a bit behind. But hey, I got it done!! But I have to admit something here. I cheated. Yes, I'm a cheater. I dug and dug through my stash and found this paper pad that I totally forgot that I had and I let this great paper do most of the work for me!! So I cheated and labored very little on this card. I did cut my Ice Cream cone from the Once Upon A Princess cartridge. I used the Cuttlebug and embossed the cone using the Tiny Mosaic folder and used the D'vine Swirl folder on the ice cream. I cut two ice cream part so I could pop up the top layer. And no, I didn't go Dutch Chocolate. I went Chocolate Chip. I used faux brown half pearls for the chips. Then I added some in two corners. The great pattern paper came from October Afternoon-5 & Dime 8x8 Paper Pad. Hummmmmm, wouldn't it be great to get an Ice Cream cone for 5 or 10 cents again?!! The great sentiment is from Mary-Cardz TV Stamps. Mary has also just released the new May stamps for preorder!! That's my card!! Hope ya'll like it!!!!

Paper Playtime Delicious Die Cuts Challenge #74

Go here to enter my Blogaversary Give-A-Way

It's the first Monday of the month and we know what that means! Time for a new challenge at Paper Playtime. Since it's the first Monday, it is a Delicious Die Cuts challenge. That means that you will need to use a die cut machine cut somewhere on your project. I used the Florals Embellished cartridge. On page 66 you will find Butterfly 3. I cut one at 3 3/4 inches and one at 1 3/4 inches. I found out that it won't work cutting them at 1 3/4 inches. The only thing I salvaged from that was the flower stem. So, remember, bigger cuts from this cartridge!! All I did was put the butterfly together and pop it up on my card. The bg papers I used are from the Paper Studio-Daydream Doodle Paper Pack. This is Hobby Lobby's brand. The sentiment is from the Encouraging Thoughts stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. I punched it out with an EK Success punch. I did a little bit of doodling and added some half faux pearls to finish off my card. Make sure you check out the projects that my DT Sisters created to inspire you. Awesomeness for sure!! Then we would love for you to give our challenge a try. Just make sure you link your creation up by noon EST on Saturday, May 19th. Our sponsor for this challenge is our very own Lynn. She will be giving a Visa prepaid card away. Isn't that awesome?!! But the only way you have a chance to win it, is if you enter our challenge!! I hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut Challenge-Celebrate Mother's Day

It's time for a new challenge at Exploring Cricut!! Our challenge to you is to 'Celebrate Mother's Day' by making a card, layout or papercraft. My card is really simple. I mean, really simple!!! I used the flower on page 32 of the Florals Embellished cartridge. I cut it and it's layers at 2 1/2 inches and 1 3/4 inches. I put the layers together and popped the one on the front. I also did a little bit of doodling. The bg paper I pulled out of my scrap bin. The yellow piece I used my Scallop scallop punch on. The sentiment is from the Mother's Day stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. I added the polka dotted buttons to finish my card. See, I told ya, really simple!! Now we would love for you to join us. Create something to celebrate Mother's Day and link it up by 9pm, EST, Saturday May 12th. And why don't cha check out the creations my DT Sisters made. Awesomeness for sure!!! Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Click here for the Paper Playtime Blog Hop and Challenge #73

Welcome to Cardz TV Stamps Design Team 'Mom's The Word' Blog Hop!!! Now if you came here by way of Kate's blog you are in the right place!! Saw some awesomeness there didn't ya?! If you just happened by to pay me a visit, why Thank You, but why don't you start at the beginning-Mary's blog and hop along with us. Mary will be giving away 2 sets of her Cardz TV Stamps. Winners choice. Run over and check them out right quick. I'll wait on ya...........awesome aren't they? The very best!! For our blog hop we are featuring a card, craft or gift for Mother's Day. I had so much fun making the last box that I did-you can see it here, I just had to make another one. I used the Sweet Tooth Boxes cartridge. On page 21 is a cube box and a scallop lid. I cut them at 11 inches. I also cut the tag that is on page 54. I cut the top one at 7 1/2 inches and the white part at 8 inches. The cardstock I used is from the Paper Studio-Daydream Doodle Paper Pack. This is Hobby Lobby's brand. It was so easy to put together. I ran a layer of two sided tape around the side edge of the lid and ran this lace (from stash) around it. Decided it needed a little more. So I cut stripes of the half faux pearls and ran them along the lace. Now I'm here to tell you that just putting them on doesn't work!! I had it sitting on the kitchen table and the next day the pearls had fallen off!!! The preglue on the back just wouldn't stay on the lace. I went back and added glue dots to the back of the pearls. Fixed the problem!! I stamped my sentiment on the top of my tag. I used the Happy Days stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps.  I had picked up some Prima Flowers-Sugar Blooms at Hobby Lobby. Love all the different colors. I used those in two of the corners and on the bottom of the tag. I just had to use some Prima Say it in Pearls on the boxlid and tag, too. To finish it off I added a stick pin that I made. That's it! Sure hope ya'll like it!!!
Now it's time to hop over to DeNetra's blog and check out her creation. You won't be sorry, that's for sure!!!! Now if you happen to get lost, check the end of my post for a listing of all of the hop stops.
And what is a blog hop without a little bit of candy. I don't have a picture, but I'll tell ya what I'm giving. I have a set of Prima Flowers and some Smooch Spritz to give-a-way. You don't have to be a follower, but I sure won't turn you away! Sorry, but due to postage cost, I will have to ask that you have a USA or Canadian address. Also leave me a way to contact you if you win. I will announce the winner on Monday, May 7th. That's when Mary will announce the winner of the stamps sets, too.
