Birthday Sundaes Challenge #45

Well I missed last weeks challenge at Birthday Sundaes. I got my card base made but totally ran out of time to get it finished. But I've got this weeks done!!! This week is to 'Get Messy'. Create a birthday card using lots of inking, paints or mists and to include a birthday wording/sentiment on the front. I used the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge to make Flower 6 on page 53. I cut it at 2 inches-4 times. I folded it and glued the edges together. I cut some circles and glued one to the bottom and one to my flower on top, then glued it to the rosette. This flower is from Pink Paislee. It is a (Mist)-A-Bles Muslin Flower. I misted it and the rosette with Popsicle Glimmer Mist. I've been trying my hand at making some stickpins. I decided I just had to add a couple to the flower. The pins themselves I picked up at Michaels a good while back and the crystals are from Hobby Lobby. Picked them up at half off.  The doilie is from Wilton that I picked up at Walmart. I misted it with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. I had a bit of the pink Prima Say it in Pearls left, so I cut it apart and added that to my card. The bg pattern paper is from s e i and the sentiment is from the Handwritten Notes stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I inked the edges of the pattern paper and my card base. Hubby said he likes it, but that I'll never be able to get it into an envelope. Told him I guess I'll just have to make a box for it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Close up of the flower and rosette.

Bitten By The Bug 2-Monogram

This week at Bitten By The Bug 2 their challenge is to use any cartridge and make something with a Monogram on it. I made a card. Bet I surprised ya there, didn't I?!! Haha We have secret pals at church and I decided this would be a great time to make her another card. I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge and cut the tag. I cut the initials from Ashlyn's Alphabet. I popped up the 'K' with some foam tape. The bg cardstock is from the Mariposa Stack and the tag and initials are from the Marisposa Cardstock Stack. I used some hemp for the tie and added a butterfly charm that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. That's it. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Exploring Cricut

Oh my, have we got a great challenge for ya'll this week at Exploring Cricut! Our theme is 'There's No Business Like Show Business'! Sounds exciting doesn't it?! Make a project using any cricut cut(s). It can be movie night, play, concert, recital, any type of entertainment. I used the Twinkle Toes cartridge for my cuts. I cut the piano that is in the #22 spot on the overlay, dance 1 that is the first spot on the overlay and the music notes that are the #25 spot on the overlay. I cut the piano and it's layers at 4 1/4 inches. The dance was cut at 3 3/4 inches and the music notes were cut at 2 1/2 inches. All of my cuts were cut from papers that I pulled out of my scrap bin. I used some Lavender Stickles on the bows in the dancers hair. I did some doodling on her shirt and shoes and on the piano and music notes. The bg music paper is from the Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby brand)-Antiquity Paper Pack. I did not put a sentiment on my card. I will when I decide what occasion I will use it for. Head on over to Exploring Cricut and check out what my DT Sisters created. Awesomeness for sure!! I can't wait to see what you create and link up. You have until 9pm EST, Saturday, March 3rd. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

The Scrapbooking Queens Royal Digi Challenge #6-Anything Goes and a little Green

Well, here it is, the last Monday of Feburary. And since it is the last Monday, it is time for a new challenge at The Scrapbooking Queens Royal Digi. Our challenge for this time is 'Anything goes and a bit of the green. Make a card using a digi image and make sure you use a bit of green.
My first card I used Ava Shamrock digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps. She is just so very cute. I colored her with my Copics, trimmed and rounded the corners. Then mounted it on the same green paper that I used for the background paper and then popped it up with foam tape. The pattern cardstock is from Cosmo Cricket. The sentiment is from the Thankful for You stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Mary's stamp sets are just the best. I used some Prima Say it in Crystals to finish off my card.
For my other card I cheated. I used a precolored digi called Betty Holding Flowers from Pink Cat Studio. She is just precious! I trimmed and rounded the corners and popped it up with foam tape. I added 3 buttons in the corner that I picked up at Walmart. The bg cardstock is from DCWV the Doodlin' Around 8x8 Stack. It does so much of the work on this card!! My sentiment is from the stamp set Think Spring from Cardz TV Stamps.
That's it. Hope over to The Scrapbooking Queens Royal Digi Challenge and check out what my DT Sisters have created for inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Now it is your turn. You have until 12pm, Saturday, March 24th to link up your card. Looking forward to seeing what you create!!
Hope ya'll like my cards!!!! :)

I used the lipstick from the Forever Young cartridge. The bg paper is from my scrapbin. I added some little white faux half pearls. The sentiment I used is from Mary's Garden Greetings stamp set. For my other card I cut the cherries from the Country Life cartridge. I used the Snow Cutie Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps to stamp the faces on my cherries. I then coated them with Glossy Accents to make them shine. I did some doodling on the cherries, stems and leaves. I punched the sentiment piece and then stamped it using Mary's Garden Greetings stamp set. I added some studio G gems. The bg paper is from Nikki Sivils-Cherry Overload. Bitten By The Bug 2-Boots

What a fun Springy challenge they are having over at Bitten By The Bug 2. The challenge is to use the garden boot cut from the Nate's ABC's cartridge. I thought for a while and did a little sketching while I was watching TV Monday night before I came up with my card. I didn't have a cartridge that had a bench so I made my own using my Gypsy Girl and the George cartridge. I used the rectangle shape and stretched it into the size I wanted for my bench and then did the legs how I wanted them. Then I welded it all together so it would cut out in one piece for my card. I kept looking at it in that kraft paper color and decided I just didn't want the whole bench kraft color, so I cut the piece for the bench part and glued it on. The flower pots are from Pooh and Friends cartridge. I again used my Gypsy Girl to do them. I didn't want the flowers to be the same as the pots so I used the hide contour feature and hid them from the pots and then hid the pots so I would get just the flowers. I cut extra of the pots so I could pop up the top layer. I did a little doodling on the flowers and leaves. I popped my garden boots up in front of the bench. Added some bling to the center of the flowers and the corners of the sentiment piece. I used the Think Spring stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps for my sentiment. I stamped it and then trimmed down the cardstock and rounded the corners of the blue and then white piece behind it. I'm rather pleased with my card. Hope ya'll like it, too!!!! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #102

The current challenge for Cricut Cardz Challenge is called 'A Stitch in Time'. Make a card for any occasion using real or faux stitching and any cartridge(s) and colors. I decided to cut the butterfly on the Art Nouveau cartridge. I used Star Dust Stickles on different parts of the butterfly to give it a little sparkle. I popped it up on shapes that I cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge. I cut it twice with the back piece being 1/2 inch bigger that the top one. Same on inside and then an even smaller piece to jot a message on. I used some lace that I had picked up at Walmart. Then popped the shapes on the card. The sentiment was computer generated then thimmed down and rounded at the top corners. I used some oval white faux pearls from Martha Stewart to finish up my card.  Oh the stitching. I did some faux stitching around the bg piece of cardstock with my while gelly roll pen. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Paper Playtime Say It With Sentiments Challenge #68

Here it is, the 3rd Monday of Feb. And that means a new Say It With Sentiments challenge at Paper Playtime. Our theme for this challenge is 'Pets'!! How fun is that?! Make a project using any animal. I used my Expression 2 for this card. I just had to cut this little dog from the Cricut American Alphabet cartridge that was preloaded on my Expression 2. This little dog is on page 33 of the booklet. The pattern paper I used to cut my little dog is from DCWV-the All about Girls stack. The sun is cut from the Just Because cartridge. It is #21 on the overlay. The face is from Peachy Keen  Boy Mates Face Assortment stamp set. My sentiment is from the Barks and Bones stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. Mary's stamps are awesome!! Go check them out. You won't be disappointed. I stamped my sentiment, trimmed and rounded the corners. The bg paper is from Hobby Lobby-open stock. The grass is from a Fiskars punch. I added some bling and did a little bit of doodling to finish up my card. Head over to Paper Playtime and check out my DT Sisters creations. Awesomeness for sure!!! And don't forget to link up your creation. You have until noon EST, Saturday, March 3rd. And who knows, you just might be the lucky one to win the $15 gift certificate that our sponsor Crop Stop is giving away. Looking forward to checking out your creations. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
I'm also entering my card in the Die Cuttin Divas favorite pets challenge.

Exploring Cricut Daily Project

It's my turn to display the Daily Project at Exploring Cricut. Hope ya'll have been checking out the other daily projects this week. Some awesomeness from my DT Sisters!! This past Wednesday was our DD's birthday. I'll not tell her age, but when she was little, I would rock her to sleep and sing You are my Sunshine to her. I'm sure she went to sleep so she wouldn't have to hear me sing!!! Hahaha I decided to make her a really simple card this year. I cut the sun from the Life Is A Beach cartridge at 3 inches. It can be found on page 44. I used my Gypsy Girl so I could hide the face features. I cut a circle at 1 1/4 inches from the George cartridge. It can be found on page 108. I cut two, stamped a face on one and popped it up. The face is from the Snow Cutie Face Assortment set from Peachy Keen Stamps. I used some Pearlescent Chalks-Shimmers on the sun. And also gave a little color to the cheeks. I then popped up the sun on my card. The piece that I stamped my sentiment on was cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge. I cut the oblong-shift on page 41. Using my Gypsy Girl, I cut it at 1 3/4 width and 3 1/2 height for the bottom piece and 1 1/2 width and 3 1/4 height for the top piece. I then turned it sideways. I popped it up also. I then added the polka dot buttons with Lemondrop Twine from The Twinery to the bottom of my sentiment piece. My sentiment came from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps. The bg cloud paper is from American Crafts-Heat Wave. The happy birthday on the inside is from a wooden stamp. Have you entered our challenge yet? If not, you have until 9pm EST tonight to get something linked. Have an awesome weekend everyone! Hope ya'll like my card. DD did!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Couples Heart

What a fun challenge they are having over at Bitten By The Bug 2. And boy am I ever on top of it or what?!! I've gotten it done this week instead on next!! Haha They are celebrating St. Valentine's Day by using the Couple Heart from the Love Stuck 2010 cartridge. And of course if you don't have this cart, use a couple from another one. I just happen to have this cartridge. I didn't want to cut it in black. That's what I thought at first. But I wanted something totally off the wall. I decided to go with a pink, blue and white card. Okay, and a smidge of black for the stamped sentiment. I decided to cut the full heart out of pink. I misted it with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle. The top layer just had to be blue. The bg paper is from K and Company-Smitten stack. I've had this stack a year or two or maybe even three. Not really sure. I love the doily look on this piece. The sentiment is from one of Scrappy Mom's newest stamp sets called Mini Messages. Then I just had to use some Prima-Say it in Pearls on my card. These are pink. Real simple and quick to put together. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes

The challenge this week over at Birthday Sundaes is using a picture as inspiration. And it must include a heart. Here is the picture:

http://www.mysweetandsaucy.com/2011/02/valentines-day-treats/
Yummy looking!! I made a shaped card using my Gypsy Girl and the Elegant Edges cartridge. I also cut the same shape for my layers. The yellow layer I used the Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) Hearts embossing folder on. Then I cut the cupcake from the Once Upon A Princess cartridge. I cut an extra of the frosting and the cupcake top layer so I could pop them up. I used the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls embossing folder on the frosting. I also used Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz on the top layer of the frosting.  I used Glossy Accents on the top popped layer of the wrapper. The hearts I cut from the Create-A-Critter cartridge. I cut extras so I could pop up the top on the two on the sides and just double layer the one on top of the cupcake. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder on them. The sentiment is from one of the newest stamp sets from Scrappy Mom's called Mini Messages. All of the papers I used I pulled out of my scrapbin. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!!
I'll be back later today with two cards that I made for a couple of challenges. :)

For my card I used the heart on the Smiley Cards cartridge. This is one of those freebies that they gave us for our Gypsy. I don't use it near enough. It has some really cute cuts on it. With the open mouth, it looks just like the heart is singing. So I added music notes that I cut from the Chore Chart cartridge. I did a little bit of doodling to finish up my card.  The bg music paper is from Tim Holtz idea-ology-Vintage Shabby paper stack. And the awesome sentiment is from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set. It is one of Mary's-Cardz TV Stamps newest sets. Hop over and check them out. They are the best. Stamp perfectly every time. You next hop stop is the awesome Jeri's place.

Bitten By The Bug 2-Sweethearts Tag

The challenge that started this past Monday at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to make any of the tags from the Sweetheart cartridge. And if you don't have this cart, use a tag from another one. I have this one!!! I cut the tag base 5 times so I could stack them to have a thicker tag. I used my Gypsy Girl so I could get all of the pieces cut seperately. I used the hide contour feature for this. I cut two of the flowers so I could pop up the top one and several of the hearts so I could layer them. I used Glossy Accents on the flower, swirl and hearts after I did a little bit of doodling. The bling is from Prima-Say It With Crystals. The sentiment is from the stamp set Sweet Talk from Cardz TV Stamps. This set can be used for so many other things. Not just Valentines!! I punched a hole in the top and added a grommet. Then I tied some white tulle through it. Hope ya'll like my tag!!!! :)

A touch of Spring

It doesn't feel like Spring this morning as I get ready to head out the door for work. But it looks like it when we go out the front of our home. Aren't these beautiful. The buttercups in the bottom photo runs across the front of our yard. Just wanted to give ya'll a taste of Spring. Just wish the weather would stay Spring like!! Have an awesomely wonderful day!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Baby Carriage

This card is for the challenge that started last Monday-January 30th over at Bitten By The Bug 2. It is to use the baby carriage from the New Arrival cartridge. Good thing they let you use one from another cart!! I don't have New Arrival. I used the one on the Wrap It Up cartridge. The printed paper I cut it from and the bg paper is from Heidi Grace. I used Elegant Edges to create my shaped card. I welded it on my Gypsy Girl. The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps. I used the Oh Baby set. Such a super cute set. I didn't add anything on the inside other than a piece of the same pattern paper. I will use the white space at the top to jot a note on. I just love it when I can use pattern paper to help me decorate a card!! Hope ya'll like it!!!!! :)
Check back with me late tomorrow afternoon and I'll have the card for the challenge that started yesterday posted.

Paper Playtime Cricut Creations Challenge #67

Here it is, the first Monday of Feb. Know what that means? Yep, a new Cricut Creations challenge at Paper Playtime. We were asked to use hearts or love on our creation. I went with both. I used the Cricut Essentials cartridge for my hearts. I used Heart 1 on page 32 and Heart 2 on page 34. The 'love' was cut from the Winter Woodland cartridge. I cut it's shadow also. I did some doodling and then used Glossy Accents ont he hearts and the top layer of 'love'. The added some white half faux pearls. The bg papers are from K and Company. On the inside I used the heart that cut from the outline one on the front. I stamped love all over it. That stamp is from Papertrey Ink Heartfelt Basics stamp set. It is now your turn to create!! Make sure you use a Cricut cut on your card, layout or other project. And make sure you use hearts or love on there, too. I'm so looking forward to seeing what you create. Now, while you are over linking up your creation, please check out what my awesome DT Sisters have made. Awesomeness for sure!!! This challenge ends at noon, EST on Saturday, Feb. 18th. Exploring Cricut Daily Project

Happy Saturday morning!!! Hope everyone had a great week and are looking forward to a fantastic weekend. Today is my turn to share the daily project at Exploring Cricut. Hope you have been enjoying all the awesome creations my DT Sisters have been displaying this week for the daily projects. WOW the talent is just fantabulous!!! Today I have made a 6x6 card. I just recently got the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge and I just had to try it out. I cut 4 of the rosette on age 66 at 1 3/4 inches. I accordion folded the pieces and then glued them together. There is a little tab on one end of each of the pieces to use for gluing together. I then inked the edges. The center piece I cut one of the shift on page 66 and one of it's shadow. I decided to use the letter 'j' on my rosette center. I did not want the little circles to cut out so I used my Gypsy Girl and the hide contour so it would cut solid. Then I added the bling to it. I used a Martha Stewart punch on the green striped piece and some lace that I picked up at Walmart. The sentiment is a wooden stamp and I finished off with some Prima-Say it in Crystals. All of the cardstocks I pulled out of my scrapbin. Don't forget that our current challenge ends tonight at 9pm EST. I'm so enjoying seeing your creations, so please come join us!!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!!!! :)

Cardz TV Stamps-Challenge #5

Welcome back to our new challenge at Cardz TV. I am so loving Mary's stamps. Go check them out here. Mary just released some new sets and they are just as awesome as the others!!!! The theme of our 5th challenge is 'Tickled Pink'. We would love for ya'll to create a card or craft project using pink as your primary color. This challenge ends at midnight EST on Sunday Feb. 5th. Mary will announce a challenge winner on Monday Feb. 6th. And that winner gets to choose one of Mary's stamp sets to be her's/his very own!! Today I made an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 size card. I went with that size so my tulips wouldn't be small. I used the Freshly Picked cartridge for my tulips. The sun was cut from Gypsy Wanderings. I used the hide contour and hid the swirl that would have cut out of the center of the sun. I also used my Gypsy Girl and flipped some of the tulips to face the other direction. The grass was punched from a Fiskars Grass Punch. I'm just loving this punch!! The bg paper I picked up at Hobby Lobby. It is part of their open stock. The sentiment is from Mary's new stamp set called Think Spring. Such a wonderful set!!!
Go check out what my DT Sisters created for your enjoyment. Awesomeness for sure!!!!
Now it's your turn to link your project so we can come by and admire it. Don't forget, you have until midnight, EST Feb. 5th to enter your project!!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
