Paper Cutz Challenge #111-Shake, Rattle and Roll

Catchy name isn't is?! That just happens to be the theme name of the challenge that starts today at Paper Cutz Challenge! You are to make a card, layout or any craft project for Halloween with a hand stamed, digi stamped or Cricut cut image of a skeleton or a skull and crossbones. Use any colors you want. The only catch is that you have to make it cute-NOT SPOOKY!!!!! Before we get to my card I just want to say that the button projects this past week were just fantastic!!!! Ya'll did wonderful with that challenge!! Now on to my card. I cut the skeleton from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I cut him big so I could glitter him up. I used some Studio G glitter that I got in some blog candy I won (Thanks Heather!). It is the softest glitter I have ever worked with! The designer papers I used are My Mind's Eye-Boo to You-Frightful Friends for the top piece and Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spooksville Paper Pad for the bottom piece. the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment is from Mary-Cardz TV Spooky Sayings stamp set. I punched a piece of each dp, off set them a little and stamped on the top. Added a skittle and popped it up. The skittles in the corner have a picture in them. One has a spider web and the other two have a spider. I've had these for a while. I think they work great for this card. I put some bling on for his eyes. Decided the bottom needed something, so added some to the two bottom corners. Now, I'm not really thrilled with this card. I thought that glittering my skelton would be great. But I'm not so sure now. I think he'll grow on me if I look at him enough! LOL I'm hoping that the dp's will save me on this one!!!  Okay, now it is your turn to create. So looking forward to seeing what ya'll come up with. You have until midnight, Thursday, October 6th to enter. Now while you're over linking, check out what my DT Sisters have made for your inspiration. Awesomeness for sure!!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #28

This weeks Birthday Sundaes challenge is 'Who's got the button?' Make a birthday themed card using buttons and using birthday wording on the front of the card. I picked out my buttons first and then built my card. I picked these wooden heart buttons off the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby last year. Knew a time would come that I would use them and here it is!! I decided to go with an easel card. I used Elegant Edges cartridge for this card. The cut on page 32 which is called Heart 1 and I also used the border layer. The regular and shift for both. The bg designer paper is from K and Company-Confetti. The sentiments are stamps from my stash. You have until Saturday to create and enter your card! Hope ya'll like mine!!!! :)
                                                                      My Card Closed

Bitten By The Bug 2-Time 4 Fun

The Sept. 19th challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to use the 'Time 4 Fun' cut from the Cuttin' Up cartridge. And if you don't have this cart, use another one with the same phrase or build one yourself!!! I haven't used this cartridge much at all, so I really had a good time coming up with this card. I used my Gypsy Girl and made a shaped card from a cut on the Elegant Edges cartridge. I used the Book layer on shift from page 41. The cut on this page is called Hearts 2. I welded two together on the flat side of the cut. I then cut 2 of the oblong shilft shapes from some time Holtz idea-ology paper. I bought this stack last year but haven't used much from it. Thought this clock page would be perfect for my card. The two pieces I cut for the inside are from kraft paper. The 'Time 4 Fun' was cut from K and Company Life's Little Occasions-Brights. I cut the Serifs layer on the cartridge. I had these clock faces in my stash that I had picked up at Hobby Lobby like forever ago and didn't even know what I was going to use them for. This was just the perfect card for them, too!!! I then did some stitching and doodling and popping and decided I was done. Since the challenges go for two weeks (good thing for me), you still have time to enter this one. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Paper Playtime-Halloween-Challenge #56

It's Monday! Time for a new challenge over at Paper Playtime. Loved all the easel cards that were entered in our last challenge. Weren't they fun to make?! I know I sure don't make them often enough. This week we are asking ya'll to make a Halloween project. And if you have some of the Action Wobbles, use one on your project. It's okay if you don't have any. Enter a project anyways and you just might win some. The Scrapbooking Queen is sponsoring this challenge and she is giving away a pack of 6 Action Wobbles!!! They are soooooo fun to use!!! I cut the cute little monster from the Bump in the Night cartridge.
I didn't cut his eye so I could use this great googlie eyelashed eye! I just love it!!! The bg designer paper and the paper I used for the tummy, bottom jaw and sentiment backing are from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spooksville Paper Pad. The sentiment is computer generated using Chiller font at 28 points. I used some glossy accents on the horns, hair and face spots to give him a little shine. Also did a tiny bit of doodling. Now this challenge goes until noon, PST, Saturday, October 1st. So plenty of time to create a Halloween project and enter for a chance to win some action wobbles!!! Your project can be anything from a card, layout, altered item. Anything using paper! And while you're over there linking up, check out what my DT Sister's created! Awesomeness!!!!  Can't wait to check out what ya create!!! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

The Queen's Royal Digi Challenge #1

It's Monday and time for our very first Digi Challenge over at The Scrapbooking Queen's. I'm so excited to be on this Digi Design Team with all the fantastic talent that is represented!!
Warning! Picture Heavy!!!!! :)
The Digi Designer that I will be representing is Inked Treasures. Check out the awesome digis that Ashley has on her site. So very adorable and I'm honored to be coloring and using them. The other Digi Designer that I will be representing is 2 Cute Rubber Stamp. Check out Heidi's blog here for some inspiration! Such wonderful digi's!!! I'm also honored to be using her digi's, too!!!!!
On the first four cards I used digi's from Inked Treasures.
The first is Pirate Lenny. He's all ready to go get some loot-aka-Halloween Candy!!! I colored Lenny with my Copics and Spica Pens. Cut him out and popped him up. The bg paper is Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio open stock. The sentiment is computer generated using SnapITC font at 22 points. I trimmed it down, rounded the corners and popped it up.
For my second card I used Ballerina Bella. She's ready to dance up to your door and shout Trick or Treat for any yummy treat you want to put in her bucket!! I colored her with my Copics. Then trimmed the cardstock down and rounded the corners. The sentiment is a stamp. The bg paper is from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spooksville Paper Pad. The candy corn bling I also got at Hobby Lobby.
This third card has Harvest Bella on it. She just loves picking pumpkins for everyone to take home to make some Jack-o-lanterns out of. I colored her with my Copic and Spica Pens. The designer papers are from DCWV-The Autumn Splendor Stack. The ribbon is Orange Zest from Papertrey Ink and the Jack-o-lantern and oval bling are from Hobby Lobby.
This fourth image from Inked Treasures is Witch Ellie. She's one of the cutest elephant's I've ever seen!! She's ready to fly by your house for some great treats!! I colored her with my Copics and Spica Pens and then cut her out and popped her up. The sentiment is from a Studio G Stamp Set. I stamped, cut out, added bling and popped them up. The bg paper is from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio open stock. The Jack-o-lanterns that I have popped up are from the same paper. I punched them out with a circle punch, glued them to a piece of white cardstock that I punched with the same circle punch and them popped them over the Jack-o-lanterns on the bg paper.
Last, but for sure 'not' least is the card I did with the digi from 2 Cute Rubber Stamp called Pumpkin Love. Isn't this little family of pumpkins just adorable?! I colored them with my Copics and Spica Pens. I cut it out with a Spellbinder's Nestabilities Large Scalloped Oval using my Cuttlebug. The bg paper and the stripe at the bottom are from some paper I had in my stash. I really don't know who put it out and I'm not real sure where I got it. I think it may have came from my LSS when it was open(sure miss it!). The sentiment is a stamp.
Now it is your turn! Can't wait to see what ya create for us to come and admire!! Hope ya'll like all of my cards!!!! :)

After his brother and sister got toys last week for their birthdays, I don't know. He was the only one that didn't have a Bible and DD thought it would be a great gift. Okay, on to my card. This digi is Mummy Bear from Di's Digi Download. Hop over and have a look!! She has some of the cutest digi's and right now a freebie. Don't know how long that will be posted though. So hurry on over there!!! The bg paper is from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spooksville Paper Pad. I colored this sweet little Mummy with my Copics and Spica Pens. Then I cut it down and rounded the corners and did the same with the piece behind him. The sentiment is a wooden stamp, trimmed down and rounded the ends. And 'GASP', I didn't put anything on the inside except a double sentiment piece. I'm not entering this one into any challenges. I just enjoyed coloring and creating the card. Hope ya'll enjoy it, too!!!! Have a fantastic day! :)

The patterned bg designer paper is from My Little Shoebox-Flying High. The sentiment is a clear stamp. Now those chicken buttons. I picked those up some time last year at Hobby Lobby. My Sheri Crafts Challenge #69

The new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts is 'Sew Simple'! Make a card or project featuring sewing or stitching of some kind-real or faux. I decided to make a Thank You card. I'm needing a few any way so decided this was the perfect time to create one. I got the 'Thank  You' from the Wild Card cartridge and the frame is from the Elegant Edges cartridge. It is on page 37. The designer papers are from K and Company-Life's Little Occasions-Brights Designer Paper Pad. I did faux stitching around the frame, sentiment and the inside piece. I popped up the sentiment and used some half pearls to finish off my card. I used my Gypsy Girl and hid everything except the flourish so it would cut and used it on the inside with the piece that cut from the middle of my frame. Sheri's challenges are still going for two weeks so since this one just started this past Saturday, you have plenty of time to join in on the fun. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Check out this giveaway!!

Check out the giveaway over at Getting Cricky! She is giving a set of Peachy Keen stamps! What fun!!!

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #27

The current challenge at Birthday Sundaes is to make a belated birthday card. And don't forget to add birthday wording on the front of your card. I decided to cut the frog from the Create-A-Critter cartridge. I cut two so I could pop one layer up. The frog can be found on page 24. The DP I used to cut it with is from K and Company-Life's Little Occasions-Primary Designer Paper Pad. The solid piece is the back side of the pattern piece. The bg DP is the great balloon paper that I used last week. It was laying there on top of my scrap pile just calling my name! I just had to use it again. It is from K and Company-Confetti Designer Paper Pad. The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The top sentiment is from My Pink Stamper More Punny-licious stamp set. The bottom is half of a wooden stamp. I masked the 'happy' so it wouldn't stamp. I didn't cut the eyes for the frog. I just had to use these big googlie eyelashed eyes!! I love them! I saved the smile that cut out and put it on the inside. Hop over and join in on the fun! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Cardz TV-Cricut Cardz Challenge #91

And since it goes for two weeks, we have until EST, Tuesday, September 27th to link our card!! I didn't use the spookiest or scariest image thats on any of my carts. I went with the bump in the night!  In fact, I used my Bump in the Night cartridge!! LOL I cut out Hank. Isn't he a cutie?!! Not really scary, but something you might find under your bed or in your closet late at night! All of the patterned papers are from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spooksville Paper Pad. I'm just loving these papers!! I popped Hank up on some foam tape, wrapped some Halloween ribbon (Hobby Lobby) around the paper and stamped the sentiment on some white cardstock, cut it out and rounded the corners. And that's it. I used the Mini Monsters Cartridge to cut my ghosts. The purple polka dotted paper is from Hobby Lobby-Paper Studio-Spooksville Paper Pad. The bg designer paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle-Halloween Friends. I put my little ghost on an action wobble. I'm so loving these things for my Halloween cards! I think the Grands are going to, too!!! I computer generated the sentiment using chiller font at 26 points. Trimed around it and rounded the corners. Cut a piece of the polka dot paper as a backing for it and popped it up. I used bling for the eyes instead of cutting them out. Although I did cut the mouth. Love that big ole smile!! Birthday Sundaes Challenge #26

The current challenge over at Birthday Sundaes is to make a criss cross birthday card. Now if you've never made one of these before, you can go here for a great tutorial on how to make one. It's been a good while since I've put one of these together. I didn't even use my Cricut for this card! Gasp!!!!! :) The bg designer paper I used is from K and Company-Confetti Paper Pad. It is full of great papers you can use for birthday and party cards. I so love the balloon paper and the stripes and circles is on the back of it as these are double sided papers!!  I remembered seeing these bling balloons at Hobby Lobby last week, but of course I didn't buy any so I went by after work today and picked these up 'cus I thought they would be perfect embellishment for my card. The band I stamped across the top with my sentiment, trimmed it down and then used a EK Success punch on it. I think it is called bubbles but don't quote me that! I also stamped the front of the card itself. This challenge just started this past Sunday so you have plenty of time to create and enter. Don't forget to put birthday wording somewhere on the card front. Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

I am honored to call her a 'Friend'!! Okay, on to our challenge. We are challenging ya'll to make an Easel/Pedestal card. (Go see Mary's tutorial if you don't know how to make one.) I went with the Beep Beep cartridge for my card. I cut the train and all of it's layers. The labels that the sentiment is stamped on were cut from the Lacey Labels cartridge. The brads are from Hobby Lobby. The designer paper I used is from K and Company-Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy Designer Paper Pad. I used one side for the top and flipped the paper over and used the other side design for the bottom of my card. I did a little bit of doodling to finish up my card. Now it is your turn to create. Make an Easel/Pedestal card, hop over to Paper Playtime and link it up so we can come by and admire it! And while you are there, check out what my DT Sisters created for inspiration. Paper Cutz Challenge #108

The current challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge is called "Going to the Pumpkin Patch". How fun!!! You are to make a card, layout or craft project for 'Fall' using a Cricut cut, hand stamped or digi stamped pumpkins and any colors you'd like. I cut my pumpkin from the Holiday Cakes cartridge. Using my Gypsy Girl, I cut the pumpkin once in the green for the vines and stem and twice in orange for the pumpkin. I just cut the vines and stems off of those pieces. I also ran the pumpkin off the side and cut one side of the vines so i could have a piece for the inside. The bg designer paper is from graphic 45 Hallowe'en in Wonderland Collection from last year. The twine is from Papertrey Ink. I computer generated the sentiment using Chiller font at 48 points for the 'Welcome' and 28 points for the rest. Trimed around it and then cut a piece of the green I used for the vines as a backing, added two brads to it and popped it up. I put some Glossy Accents on the pumpkin, stem and vines to give them a shine. You have until midnight EST on Thursday, September 15th to create a project and link it up. So plenty of time to join in on the fun!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes Challenge #25

The current challenge over at Birthday Sundaes is to create a new birthday card with a birthday sentiment on the front. That's it. Really simple!!!  Hubby's sister is having a birthday at the end of the month so I decided this would be the perfect time to make her card. I decided to use the Sophie cartridge. I have to say that I really like this Cricut Circle cartridge. I think it's my favorite so far!! I used the butterfly on page 27 and label 4 on page 45.  I used DCWV the Maripost Cardstock Stack for the cuts and the bg patterrn piece is from the Mariposa Stack. The sentiment is from the Handwritten Notes stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I used some half pearls to finsih my card. Create a card and enter the fun! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Bitten By The Bug 2-Heart

The current challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2 is to use the dripping flying heart from the Rock Princess cartridge. Good thing they will let you use another cartridge, 'cus I don't have this one! Yeah, I know! Can't believe it either!! I need to get it since I have granddaughters!!! So I went with the Indie Art cartridge. I cut the wings, broken heart and sentiment from IA. The oval I cut from George and Basic Shapes. One of the best cartridges you can have. If you look closely at the bottom of the heart, you can see where I added a little bit of drippy goo punch. I did some faux stitching and added some black half pearls. The bg paper is from K and Company. I have to say that this really isn't my style and had to really think about what to make. I'm please with how it turned out though. This challenge runs for two weeks. So plenty of time to create and join in on the fun! They also post a new challenge every Monday. Hope ya'll like my card!!!!! :)
See the drippy goo punch across the bottom of the sentiment piece? You may have to enlarge the photo. Just click on it to enlarge.

Paper Cutz Challenge #107 and My Sheri Crafts-Special Delivery Challenge

I decided to combine two challenges this week. I don't do it real often but sometimes I think a card is just perfect for more than one challenge. First of all is Paper Cutz where the theme is 'Zoo Times Two'. You are to make a card, layout or paper craft using at least 2 Cricut cuts, or stamped images of zoo animals. Add some dimension or bling and use any colors or ocassion you'd like. And the challenge over at My Sheri Crafts is a special challenge. One of the DT members-Peachy- is having a little boy in the next coming weeks. Their first! How exciting!!! So in honor of this momentous occasion, Sheri would like everyone to make a boy baby card to show her some love. And you can even send it to Peachy if you want, but that isn't a requirement.  I decided to go with stamped images on my card. I used these animal stamps from Autumn Leaves-Mindy's Zoo. I picked them up a while back at Hobby Lobby in the clearance section. I stamped the lion, graffes, birds, tree and clouds. Colored them with my Copics. All except the clouds. Didn't color those at all. Fussy cut everythinig out. Popped up most of the cuts for some dimension. I used some bling for the coconuts on the tree. The sentiment is computer generated (Alba Matter font-14 points) and punched out and popped up. The designer paper is from Safari Kids Stack. You have until midnight, EST, Thursday, September 8th to link up a project for Paper Cutz and until Friday, September 16th to link up a card for My Sheri Crafts. So plenty of time to create for both challenges!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!!!! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #90

The current challenge at Cricut Cardz is to make a card using the card feature from any cartridge, using any colors and occassion. I designed a card on my Gypsy Girl and decided I didn't like it when I got ready to cut it, so I designed this one. I used the Birthday Bash cartridge. The card feature on page 48.  The card base is cut from Bazzill cardstock. The DP is from Heidi Grace. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Tweetie Hoo Puns set. I punched out the circle around it and then another one a little bigger. I used Blossom twine from The Twinery as a hanger. Did some faux stitching and used some half pearls on the sentiment piece and on the bird. She was kinda hard to photograph. Well, the inside was since she didn't seem to want to stand up on her own two feet!! :) Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)
I forgot to mention that this challenge goes until midnight EST, Tuesday, September 13th. Plenty of time for you to join in on the fun!! :)
