Paper Cutz Challenge #93

I've done a few of the challenges over at Paper Cutz but not a whole lot. I popped over there over the weekend and saw that this week is to make a card, layout or craft project using a banner and any colors or theme and since I had until Thursday night to link up a project, I knew I could get something made. I haven't made a lot of banners so I thought I would give this challenge a try and make a layout. I used the Birthday Bash cartridge. I really like the selection of banners on this cart. I decided to use this one with the little swish on the bottom. Using my Gypsy Girl, I welded the letters inside the banners so they would cut out. I cut white banners to back them with. Then I doodled inside the edges of the letters with a green jelly roll pen. I used some Heidi Grace cardstock for these banners and also for the bg cardstock. The bigger two banners are for the photos. The cardstock for the left one is K and Company Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl and the right one is Baby Boy. I used Honeydew Twine from The Twinery to connect my banners and to make bows on the photo banners. I just love the vibrant colors that they have!!! I didn't use any embellishments on this one. I think the printed cardstock I used for the bg does the embellishment job very nicely. Hop over and try your hand at making something crafty with a banner. I sure enjoyed making my layout. I hope ya'll like it!!!! :)

My Sheri Crafts-challenge #59

This week over at My Sheri Crafts the theme is 'May Flowers'. Sheri even has a recipe for you to follow! Use 1-button, 2-designer papers and 3-flowers!!! I used Walk in My Garden Cartridge for the two cut flowers and the 3rd one is from K and Company. The designer papers I used are from Heidi Grace. Same piece of cardstock, using both sides. I even punched the butterfly border from it!! The butterflies on the flowers are the punched out pieces from the border. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. I used a button for the center of one flower and a big gemstone in the center of the other one. Did a little bit of doodling. So, how about hopping over and entering the challenge! I sure enjoyed creating my card!! Hope ya'll like it!!!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes challenge #11

This week over at Birthday Sundaes the challenge is to make a masculine birthday card. And don't forget to include a birthday greeting/wording on the front. Now, masculine cards are a challenge for me. I am getting better though! I decided to us the Camp Out cartridge for my card. I cut the bass fish and the frame. I popped up the fish in the frame. I used an atyouSpica pen in Silver to fill in the cutouts on the body of the fish. I cut a dark gray layer for the back that I used the hide conture feature on my Gyspy Girl so I would have a backing for the holes in the fin and tail. I then filled these with Aleene's Paper Glaze to give it a little shine. I also put some on the 'x's' on the corners of the frame. Since the inside of the frame cuts out, I cut one in the blue so I would have a inside to the frame. I did a little doodling with my white jelly roll pen on the fish. I hid the eye cutout also. I used a black copic and colored a white half pearl for the eye. I've ran out of black ones!! The sentiment is from two different stamp sets. The 'Fishing you a' is from Scrappy Mom's 'Amusing Animals' (I masked the rest of the stamp so I could use just this part) and 'Happy Birthday' is from My Pink Stamper Family and Friends set. I punched out the sentiment after I stamped it. In fact, I punched several so I could stack them and then popped it up also!! The bg designer cardstock is from Little Yellow Bicycle-Free Spirit-Blue Bubbles. Hope over to Birthday Sundaes and join in on the fun!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!!! :)

Paper Playtime Digi Monday Challenge #46

Happy Memorial Day!!! Thank you for taking time out of your festivities to come by and visit with me. This month at Paper Playtime our Digi Monday theme is Wedding or Love. I am using digis from Di's Digi Downloads. Ya'll really need to check out her digis. They are just so so adorable!! I love working with them! I made 2 12x12 layouts for my projects this week. The first digi I used is called Romantic Bears. This can be used for an engagement photo. The bg designer papers I used for both of my layouts is from Colorbok-Love Paper Pad. I just love how the word 'Love' is already printed on this piece. I used Say It In Crystals from Prima and soft pink half pearls from Creative Charms. The heart will be where the photo will go on both of the pages. The hearts and the scallops behind the digis are from this same paper pad. The digi I used for the second layout is called Teddy Wedding. See, I did love and then wedding! I used Say It In Pearls from Prima and white half pearls from Delish. The empty area is for journaling. I colored both of my digis with Copics. I thought I used my colors in the same order when I colored the girl bear, but I guess I didn't. The bride is a little darker. So I decided what bride didn't want to have a little bit of a tan on her wedding day!!  It is now your turn to create a paper project with the theme Love or Wedding using a digi or stamped image or sentiment. Can't wait to see what awesomeness ya'll come up with!! While you are over linking up your project, check out what my DT Sisters created to inspire ya. I just so love their creations!!! Hope ya'll like my layouts!! :)

Flaunt It Fridays-#25

Well it's Friday again! Another week gone. Time sure is flying by! And it means that we are having another challenge over at Flaunt It Fridays. Last weeks Tigger and Duckie projects were just so so cute!! This week we are 'flaunting' the Robotz cartridge and it is anything goes!! That means you get to pick which one you want to 'flaunt'!! I decided to 'flaunt' the dog robotz on pg 35. I did it in purple and lilac. I think it turned out so cute!! The bg papers are from My Mind's Eye-Lil' Robots. The striped one is called Laser Lines and the other one is called Nuts And Bolts. I love these papers!!! The 'Get your Bark on!' part of the sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's stamp set Amusing Animals and the rest is computer generated. I know I'm gonna just love this stamp set!!
You have a week to create a Robotz project. And for an added challenge, try something different from the last time. If you made a card, try a layout, or 3-D project, or an altered item. Something different. Now if you don't have the Robotz cart, use another with something similar. There are robots on several other cartridges. Our sponsor for the grand prize for the month is Scrap Buck. The prize is a $20 gift certificate. And to top it off, when you spend $20 at Scrap Buck's, you get free shipping!! So create a Robotz project, link it up and while you're there, check out what my DT Sisters created for inspiration! Awesomeness over there!!! Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #75

I'm cutting it close to the guns this week with my Cricut Cardz Challenge entry. Tonight is the cutoff to enter. The theme this time is to make a masculine birthday card using something with wheels. You can use any cartridge and colors. I went with the Nifty Fifties cart. I cut the car on pg. 46. The designer paper I used for the bg is Little Yellow Bicycle-Free Spirit-Blue Skies. The other side has wild colors and peace signs on it!! Really cool paper! The sentiment is a wooden stamp. A really fast and simple card to make. Hubby's birthday is this Friday so I just may use this one for him. Haven't decided for sure yet. I think I may have already made one for him though. I'll have to check my stash of cards! If you don't get a card done before midnight tonight check tomorrow for the next challenge. I'm sure it will be a fun one, too!! Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Paper Playtime #46 Special Challenge

Since there is 5 Mondays this month, Janis decided we should do a special challenge this week at Paper Playtime. This challenge will last from May 23 until noon on May 28. The theme for this special challenge is 'Charm'. Use a charm somewhere on your paper craft. Now you can make a card, layout, 3-D project, altered project, etc., just as long as it is made from paper. So get busy and do a 'Charming' job on your project and then link it up so we can admire it!! And while you're over visiting and linking, check out what the Queens have created to inspire you. There is some true awesomeness there!!! For my card I used the Four Legged Friends Cartridge. I chose to cut the fishbowl and the fish. Popped them both up. The sentiment is computer generated and punched out with a 1 1/4 inch punch. The other bubble is from a 1 inch punch. I attached a fish charm to the bottom of the sentiment bubble. The patterned cardstock is from DCWV-The Whimsy Stack. Now it is your turn to create. Looking forward to seeing what ya'll come up with!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

Day Seven-Blogaversary Give-A-Way

Give-A-Way Now Closed!
Well here it is. The last day. This has been really fun. But I'm bushed!! Had a full fun filled day yesterday. First I had to be at work at 6am. Then I left at 1pm and Hubby and I headed down to where our oldest Granddaughter's High School Graduation ceremony was being held. Spent a few hours there. Came home and DD and I went to town. Got home around 11:30pm. I don't know what these kids of mine think I'm made of! This old bod likes to get in bed at a decent hour!!! LOL It was just the most enjoyable day though!! Told Hubby that we are one down and 7 more cermonies to go since the twins will be together for theirs!! It will be a few years before the next one. Okay, I know what ya'll are here for! You are wanting to know how I'm ending this week long give-a-way. Well, guess I won't keep you in suspense much longer. First of all though, lets go over the rules: You must be a follower. Leave only one comment on each days post. Leave me a way to get in touch with you so if you are one of the lucky ones I can let you know. It can be an e-mail or blog address. And I'm truly sorry but because of the cost of postage, please have a U.S. or Canada address. I don't think I missed anything there. I will leave this all open through noon CST on Monday. I will draw a winner for each day from that days comments. I will post the winners here on my blog sometime late Monday afternoon or early evening. You will have a week to get back with me with your address after I contact you. If I don't hear from you in that time, I will have to pick someone else. I know ya'll are saying 'enough already-what's the prize!!!' LOL Okay. Are ya'll ready?!
How about a Scrappy Moms Stamp. I chose Amusing Animals Stamps Set. I ordered me one of these, too. This is my first time owning some Scrappy Moms Stamps and I think I'm gonna love them!! Here's a picture:
Don't you just love the pink ribbon they tie around the package?!
How would you like a Colorful Bunch Sampler Pack with all 11 colors of twine from The Twinery?! I just love their twine!!! When I got mine they only had 8 colors so I just had to get the 3 newest colors for myself, too!!! Oh such pretty colors and awesome twine!! Yeah, I've got a picture of them, too!!
I have one more thing. The last thing is a Life's A Party Cricut Cartridge. It is just so adorable!! Wait until
you get this one!! Super cute!!! I can't wait to cut the cute little monkey!!  Here's a picture!!

That's it. Good Luck Everyone!! And thank you so much for following me. I never expected to have this many followers! I was just so excited when I got to 100 and now I'm over 300!! I'll do another give-a-way when I reach 500. And of course, I'll do the little ones when I'm part of a blog hop. So don't be a stranger! :)

Flaunt It Fridays-#24

If you are looking for todays Day Five Blogaversary Give-a-Way click here.
Oh Friday! End of the week. Well for a lot of you anyways. I have to work tomorrow. Another great thing about Friday is the new challenge over at Flaunt It Fridays. Thank you for all those that hopped along with us last week. Everyone made such awesome creations!!! I really enjoyed it!!! This week we are asking ya'll to 'flaunt' page 61 of the Pooh Font Set Cartridge. The Tigger and Ducky!! They are so so cute!! Now if you don't have this cartridge, chose one that is similar and go for it!! As an added challenge, try something different from the project you made last time. This months grand prize is a $20 gift certificate from Scrap Buck where you will get free shipping for spending $20!!
This week I decided to make a 12x12 layout. I used atd(momenta)-Baby Steps Paper Stack for my background. I just love this ducky cardstock from this stack! It has this glitter look to it although it doesn't feel like glitter on it. It's smooth instead of rough. If that makes sense. Oh gosh! I sound like my boss. She's always saying that!! LOL The honeypot is where I will put a photo and the lid can be used for journaling. I did some doodling on the honeypot and on the sentiment. The letters are also from this cart. I kerned them together on my Gypsy Girl.
Now it's your turn. Create and link so we can come admire your handy work!! Don't forget to check out what my awesome DT Sisters have created for inspiration. They do awesome work!! Hope ya'll like my layout!!! :)

Cricut-tastic Award!!!

Gloria of Girlias Cards fame has honored me with the Cricut-tastic Award. Tanya honored me with this award that I posted about here, so I'm just going to say here, Thank You So Very Very Much Gloria!!!!

My Sheri Crafts #57

If you are looking for my Blogaversary Day One Give-a-Way click here.
Sheri has the neatest challenge this week over at My Sheri Crafts. I did not know that starting this past Sunday, that this week is Transportation Week! So, in honor of Transportation Week, the challenge is to make a card or other project featuring some kind of transportation. Be it car, truck, bus, boat, train, etc. You get the idea. I used Pack Your Bags Cartridge. I'm really loving this cart!! I cut this cute car with the luggage on top. I cut two of each of the pieces of luggage so I could pop them. I also popped the car. 'Road Trip' is the phrase from this page. I cut off the car and luggage that are a part of the phrase. The bg cardstock is from Cosmo Cricket-Joy Ride Stack. Sheri won't post a new challenge until this Saturday, so ya'll have plenty of time to create and enter! So hop over and join in on the fun! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge #74

If you are looking for my Blogaversary Day One Give-a-Way Post click here.
This week at Cricut Cardz Challenge  the theme is to make a card for a brand new baby using any colors and any Cricut Cartridge. I used Sugar and Spice Cartridge and cut the stork. The bg papers are K and Company-Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl Paper Pad. I used the same paper for both layers. Just turned it over and used the other side. Kinda hard to tell, but the one on the bottom has little lines of dots on it. I used this same side to cut the blanket from. I really like the printed side with all the baby things on it. 'Baby' is from My Pink Stamper Family and Friends Stamp Set. Can you see where I stamped it at? The paper says girl. Told ya'll that I was going to get some other colors of tulle when Hobby Lobby put it for half price. They did last week, so I got some more. I got this pretty shiny pink. I wrapped it around and then took a piece and tied it on. This stuff cuts really well with my paper cutter. I even cut it in half down the middle of the long piece! So this is one piece that I cut in half down the middle, wrapped half and tied the other half. I used these itsy bitsy heart buttons to finish it off. Hop over and join in on the fun. Mary will keep this challenge open until midnight
EST, Tuesday, 5/17. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Flaunt It Fridays-Happy Hauntings Blog Hop

Will be posting the winner of the blog hop candy later this evening!! :)
Oh it is finally here!! Our Friday the 13th blog hop over at Flaunt It Fridays. We are 'flaunting' the Friday the 13th phrase on page 54 from the Happy Hauntings cartridge. That is also your challenge. So get to creating and link up your project so we can admire it!! The DT and some Quests also are flaunting another cut from HH for your viewing pleasure. This month at FIF our sponsor for our monthly grand prize is Scrap Buck. The prize is a $20 gift certificate. And if you spend $20 or more, you get free shipping!! If you came from Sandra's blog, than you are in the right place. But now, if you just dropped by for a little visit, I thank ya, but you might want to head to the beginning here and check out all of the hop stops. There is some awesomeness out there that you won't want to miss!!! Now for my projects: Of course I had to make a card. I cut 'Friday the 13th'
from Christmas cardstock. Yeah, you read that right. Don't know the name of it. I found it in my scrap bin. So you want to know how I know it's Christmas then, well, I remember getting it in the Christmas section of our LSS when it was open. The bg paper is some from Halloween. No, I don't know where it came from either. It has crows and trees on the other side. I really like the dots. DD said it messes with your eyes. I cut the tree and boo. Popped everything except boo up. Pretty simple card. For my other project, I made the tombstone boxes. Thought they would be perfect treat boxes. I made 2. A blue one and a pink one. I'll need to make some more of these before Halloween so all the Grands can have one. I think they will like them. I covered the front with some cardstock from my scrap bin and popdotted 'boo' on them. Hope ya'll like my projects!!!  Here are photos:

Now it's time to head over to Lisa's blog and check out what she created. If you happen to get lost, just come back by and check out the list at the end of my post to find your spot. I have a little blog candy to giveaway. Not much but I hope ya'll like it. Oh yeah, guess you want to know what I'm giving away huh?! How about Stickles in Rock Candy, Gold and Spiced Marmalade. The rules for this award are:
Your blog has been deemed Cricut-tastic. Wear this badge proudly on your blog and share it with others whom you think also have Cricut-tastic blogs. Also, please share 5 Cricut-related things about yourself!
Hum..........5 Cricut related things about myself huh?
1. I own a Baby Bug, an Expression, a Cuttlebug and a Gypsy. I've been giving big time hints to Hubby for an Imagine. No luck yet. I'll keep working on him.
2. I can't hardly make a card or layout without designing it on my Gypsy Girl first, although I do get the cartridge handbooks out and flip through them.
3. I got Pack Your Bags cartridge for Mother's Day. I picked it out. Hubby is afraid he'll get something I already have! LOL
4. No food or drink is allowed in my craft room. I'm afraid of spilling something on my toys! Don't want to mess them up!!!
5. I would love to not have to work so I could play with my 'toys' more!!

Bitten By The Bug 2-Strawberry

This week over at Bitten By The Bug 2 Jeri is issuing the challenge. She chose the strawberry cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge. Now if you don't have this cart, use a strawberry from another cartridge. Did you know that May is National Strawberry month? Well I didn't. But then, I don't usually eat strawberries either.
Give me some shortcake with strawberry juice soaked into it and lots of whipped cream and I am a very happy camper. Now I cut the sweet strawberry from the SC cart, but didn't cut the layer with the face features. Instead I used Peachy Keen Happy Lashes Assortment for the faces. The sentiments are from My Pink Stamper Fruit and Veggie Puns stamp set. Bitten By The Bug 2-Apple Core

On Monday the 2nd, Heather issued a challenge over at Bitten By The Bug 2 using the apple core cut from the Preserves cartridge. Good thing she gave us 2 weeks to do this challenge!! I mean, what do you do with an apple core?! Well, I made this card with it!! I also used the words apple and jelly from Preserves. I cut the jar from Doodlecharms and the whole apple is from Give A Hoot. The cardstock is from K and Company- Berry Sweet stack. Heather really wants someone to come up with some way to use the apple core with a 'Thinking of You' sentiment without it coming across as a sarcastic kind of card. I wasn't able to do that. :( But maybe you can!! You have until this weekend!! And while you're at it, check out this weeks challenge too. It's another good one!!  Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Cardz TV Challenge and Giveaway

Mary over at Cardz TV has issued a challenge and is doing a giveaway in honor of National Scrapbooking Day, which was this past Saturday. The whole month of May is scrapbooking month.  You have until midnight EST, Friday, May 13th to link your project. The challenge is to make a card or scrapbook layout using fruit. That's it. Easy peasy!!! Click here to check out the video that Mary made and read all about it. I made a thank you card. I cut the plum and tag on page 32 from the Preserves cartridge. I hid the cutout on the tag so it would cut solid. Both of the bg papers and the tag paper is from DCWV-Citrus Stack. I wrapped pink sorbet bakers twine from The Twinery around the tag. Popped the tag and then the plum. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper Family and Friends Stamp Set. You still have time to create and enter Mary's challenge so why not join in on the fun! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Birthday Sundaes-#8

The challenge over at Birthday Sundaes this week is a recipe challenge. You are to use 3 different embellishments and 2 patterned papers. And don't forget to include birthday wording somewhere on the front of your card. The patterned papers I used are from ki Memories-Girly Girl stack. I used some white tulle, wrapped it around and then took a piece and just tied it on the front. I had these metal flowers that I stacked and used a yellow brad in the middle that I attached through the knot of the tie. The I used a glue dot and attached it to the card. I dug around in my charms and found this lipstick and the pink gem. Attached them to the bottom of the tulle on each side. The sentiment is a wooden stamp. Hop over and join in on the fun. A new challenge won't be posted until Sunday so you have plenty of time!! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)
