Paper Playtime Challenge #50

Happy second Monday of July to everyone! And such a great one it is!! It is time for a new challenge over at Paper Playtime Yeah!! The theme is 'summer'. Make a paper project of any kind. Card, layout, 3D, altered, etc. Just make it to represent summer. We have a great prize this challenge. Pam of Simply Pam  is our sponsor and she is providing some awesome stuff for the winner. Making Memories-Whimsy Embellishment Kit (Has 100 buttons, die cut shapes, chipboard alphas and 40 printed flowers). A total of 214 pieces plus it comes in a cute box. Also...Making Memories Hul-la-loo 5x7 Mini Book Kit (Has a spiral bound mini book, cardstock, trims, stickers and die cuts). Didn't I tell ya awesome stuff?! Now all you have to do is make a paper project with 'summer' as your theme and hop over to Paper Playtime and link it up before noon EST, Saturday July 23rd. And while you are over there, don't forget to check out the awesomeness that my DT Sisters have created to inspire ya. You won't be sorry that you looked!! Now on to my project. At a great surprise, I made card. I know, ya'll just can't believe it!! LOL I'm still learning all the buttons and whistles on my Expression 2 so I went simple with this one. I picked up a few Imagine Art Cartridges since I can use those on the E2. One of those is the Yummy cart. I cut all the layers for the ice cream cone. Embossed the cone with Tiny Mosaic and the scoops with D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folders. Then I popped it up on my card. I can remember when I was growing up being so excited to get to visit Baskin Robbins and having the rare luck of getting 3 scoops of ice cream!!! An awesome summer treat! Now I never got any green ice cream but I did pink. Bubblegum! Yummy!! Well, it was back then. I've outgrown that flavor for sure but not chocolate!! I let the bg cardstock do most of the work for my card. It is from imaginisce-Summer Cool on the pink side and Flipsicle Twist on the ice cream side. I even have a good piece left over that has flipflops on it from the Flipsicle Twist side! The outside and inside sentiments are from My Pink Stamper Simply Sweet Occasions stamp set. The little heart buttons are from my stash. Now it is your turn! Get to creating and go link your project up so we can come and admire it!! Hope ya'll like my card! :)
