Little Princess

This week is 'Baby Week' over at http://www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com/ It is challenge #20. I did this layout using the Sugar and Spice Lite cartridge. The flowers are some that I got at M's from the bridal section. I inked them with Memento Angel Pink ink. I have a baby shower to go to so this just may be the gift. They are having a little girl. Hop on over to myshericrafts and join in on the fun. This challenge goes through Friday. Hope ya'll like my layout! :)

E I E I O!!!!!

This week over at http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/ challenge #14 is Old Macdonald had a farm, eieio. You can make a card, layout, 3-d project or any other paper craft project. And you can interpret this theme any way you like. You have until Sunday 9/5 at midnight EST to enter, so come join the fun! I decided to do a layout. I cut everything from the Country Life cartridge. I decided that if you live on a farm you have to get up at sunrise with the chickens. Hence my sunrise and chickens!! Hope ya'll like my layout!! :)

Baking Muffins

Over at http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/ this weeks challenge is the Apron on the From My Kitchen cartridge. Penny is the host of this challenge. When some of our Chickadees come to spend the night, we usually bake. Most of the time it is muffins. Some like strawberry and some like choc. chip. I like either one!! LOL  They love stirring the milk in the muffin mix and then putting it in the pan cups and watching them bake. The best part though is eating them!!! I decided to do a layout. Everything is cut from the FMK cart. The apron, the muffin pan, the bowl and the pot holder which I thought would be the perfect place to put a photo of our little bakers! I didn't have any cardstock with muffins on it so I used this one with cupcakes. Kinda in the same family. Hop on over and join the fun. This one just started Monday so you have plenty of time!!  Hope ya'll like my layout! :)

My Pink Stamper Challenge

Over at http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ Robyn is having a challenge with the theme 'It's Cold Outside'. I'm a little behind on getting my done and posted. She will stop taking entrys in the morning. I was visiting http://joy-purttypaperz.blogspot.com/ and Joy and a friend are challenging each other to get their Christmas cards done. Her friend wanted them to use a sketch and I really like it so decided to use it for my card for Robyn's challenge. Hope that's okay Joy!! I used Winter Frolic for the trees and the sentiment tag. The trees down the side and on the inside are flocked brads. I clipped the brad part off of the ones on the inside and glue dotted them on. Hope ya'll like my card! :)

Back to School

Over at http://cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com/  challenge #39 is to make a card for 'Back to School'. I don't make cards for my Chickadees when school starts, so I really had a hard time with this one. Decided to use the bus from Doodlecharms cart and make a shaped card. I got it all laid out on my Gypsy, cut it out, put it together, added the buttons on the wheels and then went totally blank on what else to do. I've had this card made for daysssssssss now and couldn't come up with how to finish it! I sat looking at it today singing, The Wheels on the Bus go round and round, round and round..........okay, I could stamp that on the card. Wellllll, I don't really like it. Mary talked about not showing her bad cards on her Q and A on cardz tv and I thought, I can't show this to anyone!!! Then I thought, if I gave it to a five year old, they would like the bus and sing, The Wheels on the Bus go round and round, round and round.....so here's my card!! Hope ya'll like it as much as I think a five year old would!! :)

52Q Week 4

Alrighty! This week our question is 'What's for supper tonight?' Well, it just so happened that DH said how about hot dogs. And let me tell you I did not hesitate to say that it sounded good to me!!! So I cut this hot dog from the Block Party lite cartridge. So so simple!!! The tag pouch and the journal tag are from Tags,Bags,Boxes and More cart. The circle is from a punch. Hope on over to http://pausedreamenjoy.blogspot.com/ and join us and make a Mini Album about yourself. Janis has a new question every Tuesday. I'm really enjoying this!! Hope ya'll like!! :)

Rubber Ducky

This week over at http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/ challenge #8 is 3,2,1 recipe. 3 patterned papers, 2 ribbons or trims, 1 charm. Well, at least this many of each of these, as long as it has at the least this many of each! I needed a baby shower card so decided to make it for this challenge. I cut the Rubber Duck from the Just Because Cards cartridge. The cardstocks are from Ki Memories Baby Cakes pack. I tied one of my ribbons around the two stripes I put to the side and the other is the bow on the ducks neck with the charm attached to it. I cut this duck twice because I totally messed up the first one!!! I'm sure I'm not the only one that has done that!! LOL Hop on over to craftycreations and join in. You have until Tues. 8/31 to enter! Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

'B'

This week over at http://jitterbugginchallenge.blogspot.com/ Sherri's theme is 'B'! She says to follow the sketch, do a square card, put a cricut 'B' somewhere on it, use up some scraps and have fun!! Every cardstock and paper I used came out of my scrap bin. Yeah, I do have some large pieces in there. I did my card 6 X 6. Cut all four of my little squares 3 X 3. The circles and letters (welded them) I cut from George, the stars from Create-a-Critter and the Rocket from Just Because Cards. Pop dotted the rocket on. Hop on over to jitterbuggin and join in on the fun. You have until Wed. 9/1 at 11:59 EST to enter! Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Princess!

This week Emma's theme is Princess! Go over to http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ and enter. You have until midnight tonight! You can do anything from a card to a layout with the theme Princess. I decided to do a 12X12 layout. The bg and mats I did for the photos are cardstock from K and i Memories Girly Girl pack. Thought it would be perfect with this Tinkerbell cut. I used Silver Stickles on her wings and the pompoms. I think the Granddaughters will like this one for some of their photos. Hope ya'll like my layout! It was really hard to photograph. Could be I was doing it in the middle of the night! :)

Anniversary

Over at http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/  this week Lisa is our Paper Queen! The theme is Anniversary. DH and I won't celebrate until Dec. but thought I would just get a head start on his card. He really likes simple cards, but I really like them a little more fancy. I used Paper Studio Pearlized cardstock for the card and the cuts. The corners and hearts were cut from Sweethearts cartridge and the I Love You is from Lyrical Letters. The Happy Anniversary is a stamp. Hope ya'll like my card. :)

When The Sun Goes Down

This week Melissa is hosting the challenge over at http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/  She chose the flamingo cut from Life's a Beach as the theme. Now if you don't have this cart, one from any cart will do. The only catch to this is that your flamingo 'can not' be pink. I've been wanting to use the flamingo on a card but wasn't sure what kind of card to make. Here was my chance!! The polka dot paper and the wave paper are from an American Crafts pack called Heat Wave. Thought my flamingo would be soooo cute in polka dots. The turtle, waves, sun and words were cut from LAB also. I welded the letters together. I wasn't sure what I was going to do for the sentiment until I had finished my card and I looked at the sun going down into the water. Used a little bling for the eyes. Hop on over to bittenbythebug and enter this challenge! You have until Sunday. They post a new challenge every Monday. Hope ya'll like my card!!!
:)

Miss You-Bee

This week over at http://www.myshericrafts.blogspot.com/ challenge #19 is Missing You. Bumble Bee popped into my head. Don't know why, they have nothing to do with missing anyone, I don't think. Guess it's because I've been wanting to use this paper from a Colorbok stack I got at Walmart, that Mary from Cardztv told us about. It has several different sheets with bumble bees on them. I decided to use the one with the bees and vines as my bg paper. I used the bumble bee from Live Simply lite cartridge. I didn't cut the first cut with the flower and when I cut the stripes, I hid the flower center. It didn't have a face on it so I added a bling eye and some doodling. The wings I cut from some Paper Studio Pearlized Cardstock. The 'miss you' I cut from Paper Pups cart and did some doodling on it, too, although you can't see that in the photo. Hop on over and enter the challenge. You have until Friday. They post new challenges on Saturdays. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Free

This is my last post for tonight. It's getting really late and I should be in bed. We spent the evening at our DD/SIL's. Had a great time! Bug is loving 4th grade and the twins are soooo excited about Kindergarden. The 4th one I think is kinda enjoying having Mom to himself even though she is working (works from home)We saw papers, shapes, cuts, colorings, drawings and their names printed in their little shaky hand writing. It was all just awesome!!! Okay, enough of my chatter. Over at http://cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com/ challenge #38 is Anything Goes!!! Make a card using any cart, colors and theme you like. Then over at http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/ challenge #81 is Butterflies on your card or project. I made this 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 card using a Butterfly from Tinker Bell and Friends cart. The lettering is from Gypsy Font with the letters welded together. Even with the cuts being 4 1/2 inches they were a pill to put together. Took me a little while but I am really happy with how she turned out. I used some Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist on her to give her some shimmer. The blue bg and patterned cardstocks are from the Mariposa stacks. Such beautiful stacks. I love them!! You have until Tues. 8/24 to enter these challenges. Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

52Q Week 3

Over at http://pausedreamenjoy.blogspot.com/ it is week 3 of our Mini Me Book. The question this week is, "What is your favorite song right now?" Well, mine right now is Bella's Lullaby by Edward Cullen. Yes, I'm a Twilight fan. I love piano music and I could listen to this all day long. It is just so beautiful to me. When I was growing up I wanted to take piano lessons, but my parents couldn't afford it. I use to be able to play Mary Had a Little Lamb and Chop Sticks but it has been so long, I can't anymore!! I used Tags,Bags,Boxes and More for my tag pouch and my journal tag. I don't have a cartridge with a piano on it so I bought this 3d sticker. I cut the music notes from Lyrical Letters. I hid the faces. Then added some black pearls on the bottom of the notes. I hope ya'll like it!!! :)

Forever Friends

Hello everyone!!! Over at http://jitterbugginchallenge.blogspot.com/ sketch 14 is Born to Be Wild. Sherri has an awesome sketch this week.!! But then, she has an awesome sketch every week!!! LOL This week you need to follow the sketch but you can flip it or turn it, just make sure it shows! Also add a Cricut animal or two or three and use some stripes somewhere on your card. You have until Wed. 8/25 at 11:59 to enter. When I was visiting critterbugg365's blog she had a link to this site that is starting to do challenges. Her name is Christina. Here's the link to this weeks challenge: http://cardcreationsbyc.blogspot.com/2010/08/create-critter-challenge-giveaway_17.html This week is to make a card, layout or other crafty item using Create-a-Critter. You have until Friday 8/27 at 11:59 pm EST to enter. I decided to combine these two challenges. Everything is from CAC cart. I did all of the layers for the alligator and bird. I cut two of each except for the bird on the inside. Just one of each for it. I pop dotted the alligator and glued the bird behind so it would look like it was on the alligators back. The patterned/striped cardstock is from DCWV Safari Kids stack. Used some bling for the eyes. The sentiment is computer generated. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

The Reason

Over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge theme is 'Frame it' and she also chose to use Paperdoll Dress Up cartridge. I decided to get all of the images I used from page 76 of the booklet. I laid everything out on my Gypsy. I welded the stable together at the bottom. Only cut the window out of the front part so I would have a 'frame'. The hay on the floor is from the bottom of the stable. The star is from the center of the medallion, popped up and covered in gold Stickles. The sentiment is a stamp. Hope ya'll like my card! :)

Cup-burrr

Over at http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/ this weeks challenge is to use the cup from the Joys of the Season cartridge. Now, I drew a complete blank on this one. I decided to make it a shaped card and I had this cute snowflake paper. Used the snowman from the JOTS cart also. I'm not completely happy with this one but I guess it's not toooo bad. Hop on over and join in on the fun. You have until Sunday 8/22 to enter. Hope ya'll like my cup card!! :)

It's A Zoo

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday. I've spent alllllllll afternoon getting a new internet security on my computer. Finally got it on and going. Went to put it on my laptop and it went on soooo smoothly! Go figure!! LOL
This week is challenge #12-Zoo at http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/ Make any paper craft project  inspired by the theme Zoo. I made this 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 card. I used the Walrus from Zooballoo cartridge. I also used the alpha from this cart also to spell out Its A Zoo. I used the dot from the exclamation point after hiding the the top, for my little dots. I designed it all on my Gypsy. The pattern cardstock is from DCWV Animal Crackers stack. Such cute cute patterns there. Hop on over to paperplaytime and join in on the fun!! You have until Sunday 8/22 to enter. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

52Q Week 2

It is 52 Question Week 2 over at http://pausedreamenjoy.blogspot.com/ This week Janis asked, "What did you want to be when you grew up?" Well I'm guessing everyone will be able to tell from my tag holder and tag insert that I wanted to be a teacher. Never became one, but I did teach Children's Church for quite a few years. That was pretty awesome!!! I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More for my tags. Welded two together to form my holder and cut a smaller size for my insert to put my answer on. I used My Community cart for the teacher. I think she is really the librarian, but I think she works for a teacher. Used a Peachy Keen stamp from the Simple Sallies Face Assortment set for her face. I cut her several times to get the different colors. Some of them I ran off the side of the mat so it wouldn't waste paper. The book on my insert tag is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up cart. I cut it three times to get the different colors. and then layered them. Hop on over to Janis' blog and play along with us! Hope ya'll like my creation for this week! :)

Going Places

Over at http://jitterbugginchallenge.blogspot.com/ sketch #13 is Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Sherri has an awesome sketch this week for you to follow. She said you can flip it/move it/rearrange it... but make sure the sketch shows. Put a Cricut vehicle on your card and use a button. You have until Wednesday, 8/18 at 11:59 to enter. So create a card and join the fun!!! I used B is for Boy lite cartridge. I cut the little car two times and layered them on top of each other to give it a little dimension. Didn't want to pop it up with those thin places. Dug in my button jar and found these star buttons and thought they would look pretty good with the gray button. Put a little hemp in the buttons.  Hope ya'll like my card!!! :)

Don't Worry

I'm a bit late on posting this week but Don't Worry, I'm catching up!! LOL This week over at http://cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com/ Mary wants a card made from any cartridge or theme. You can only use orange, yellow, blue, black and white! Then over at http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/ the challenge theme this week is Winged Things. Can be anything with wings but it has to be a Z Fold card. So I decided to combine the two challenges. The bumblebee I got from the Paisley cartridge. I cut him three times. Layered two and popped them on top of the other one. His little face is a Peachy Keen stamp from the Simple Simons Face Assortment. The flower I cut from George. I used Sunshine Glimmer Mist on them and then used Pearl Glimmer Mist on top of the Sunshine. I then glued them together and put an orange Skittlz in the center. Used 3D glue dots to pot it up. The Don't worry bee happy! is from Buggy Punnies stamp set from My Pink Stamper. You have until Tuesday to enter either or both of these challenges. Come join in on the fun!! Hope ya'll like my card!!!! :)

My Day

Janis is our Paper Queen this week over at http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/ It is challenge #11-School Days. Since I've already made a layout for our DD's 3 Chicks that are going to school, I needed to make one for the Chick that isn't. He's almost 4 so he has 2 years before he can go to Kindergarden. I made it look like a school layout but it's for his day, the day the others go to school. I used Don Juan cartridge for everything on my layout. I cut 2 of everything and then layered them. I popped up everything except for the photo square.  I doodled on all the numbers and letters although you can't see it on all of them in the photo. I also did some faux stitching on the photo square. Hop on over to paperplaytime and join in on the fun. You have until midnight EST on Sunday, 8/15.  Hope ya'll like my layout!!

Slithering By

Over at http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/ it is Life's A Beach Challenge this week using the Lizard cut! I got my Gyspy and went to work. And worked, and worked, and worked. Didn't like anything that I came up with. Was not happy at all. Okay, so this one was a super hard one for me. I finally came up with something that I somewhat like. At least better than all the others that I did. I cut the lizard 3 times. Layered 2 of them and used one on the inside. Popped the one of the front. I got the rock from the Old West cart. It had a little cactus with it that I hid. I cut the rock 10 times. Layered two together to have 5 rocks. I had reversed 4 of them. I glued 2 down and popped 2 on the front and used one on the inside. I computer generated the sentiment. Hop on over and join in on the fun. There are other fun things going on over at BBTB2 this week that you need to check out. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

School Days

This is my last one for today. I'm bushed!! LOL Over at http://myshericrafts.blogspot.com/ challenge #17 is 'Back to School'! Our children are grown but we do have Grands in school. Our DD's twins start kindergarden Wednesday and are sooooo excited!! Bug will be in 4th this year. That will leave her with just one at home. Oh how they grow up way way to fast!! I made this layout so she can add photos of their first day of school. I used my Gypsy. I used Heritage cartridge for the school. Cut it twice in the white and then ran it off the page 3 times to get the flag, flag pole and chimney all different colors. I just put a piece of black cardstock behind the windows. I used Doodlecharms cartridge for the school buses. I also ran some off the page to get the wheels and tags in black and white. Then I pieced all the different things together. I cut 'First Day' from the Don Juan cartridge. I popped up the buses. I doodled around the letters and the buses. You can't see the bus doodles in the photo though. (I had a hard time photographing it. I snapped, deleted, snapped, deleted over and over and decided to just use this one. It looked better than the others.) I had the bg paper in my stash for a good while so I don't remember where it came from or who made it. Hop on over to myshericrafts and join in on the fun! You have until noon CST Saturday, 8/14 to enter. Hope ya'll like my layout!! :)

Happy Anniversary

Over at http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/ challenge #79 is to make something Wedding or Anniversary. Create something and come join in on the fun!! (The new design team has just been announced this week, too so hope over and see who is on the team!)  I decided to make an Anniversary card. I have this paper I got at my LSS Scrappin' Kats that is from Daisy Bucket Designs and is called 'loves me...loves me not'. It has four 6X6 squares with a different design in each square and different on the reverse side. I chose to use the brown polka dots and the white with the flowers. I have several sheets of these so I put the same on the inside. I cut the Happy Anniversary from Sweethearts cartridge and the 25th is cut from Gypsy Font. I also put a 25 on the inside. Used a red bling for the dot on the i. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)

Oh Baby!

Over at http://jitterbugginchallenge.blogspot.com/ this week is sketch #12-Oh Baby! Sherri wants you to follow the sketch....but feel free to 'play' with it, make a baby card and add some ribbon. I used my Gypsy and Designers Calendar cartridge for the baby and a punch for the hearts. Since I couldn't hide the baby, I cut it all out 5 times. I layered two complete ones together, on one mint one I cut off the baby, on the cream one I cut the baby and hair so I could have the baby in cream and then I moved most of the brown one off the mat so I would only cut a small area and the hair. I then layered all of these on top of the mint piece. You have until Wednesday 8/11 to create a baby card and enter. Join in on the fun!! Hope ya'll like my card!! :)
