We Go Together

Well I finally got my card done for  http://jitterbugginchallenge.blogspot.com/  challenge. Sherri wanted you to use a Cricut cut of food, use plaid, use something black and follow sketch. I think I did all of these. I did an 8 1/2x5 1/2 card. I cut the black cardstock at 8 1/4x5 1/4 and the plaid paper at 8x5 for both the front and inside. The cream cardstock on inside I cut at 7 1/2x4 1/2. I used My Kitchen cartridge and my Gypsy. I really love the updates!!! I used the plate set on pg. 55 and hid the flatware. Cut twice at 5.48x3.05, one blue and one light blue. Cut the light blue center out and glued to center of blue plate. I hid the loaf of bread so I could get just the slice and I also cut the loaf and slice. All of these I cut at 4.50x2.76 twice so I could layer the off white with the brown. Bread is on pg. 64. Then I cut the sheeps body on shift on pg. 76 for my sentiment. All this I planned on my Gypsy and then cut. Loving it!!!! Then I cut some yellow cardstock into 1/2 inch squares to make the butter pats. Put some black bling in the top corners on the front. Wrote the sentiment on the oval and computered the inside. I inked everything. Mostly in rich cocoa. The plate in blue and the butter pats in yellow. I hope you like my card. I'm really enjoying doing the challenges! :)

Vacation

This card I made for two challenges. First for  http://pausedreamenjoy.blogspot.com/ . Janis' challenge #3 is to make a card, layout or other craft item using the theme vacation. You have until Sunday 5/30. Then over on  http://www.cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com/  challenge #26 is to use brads or eyelets with any cartridges, colors or theme. You have until Tuesday 6/1 to get you card in on this one. Go take a look at all the awesome creations and enter yours! This is just so much fun!! Now, for my card:
I folded a piece of 11x8 1/2 cardstock to make a 5 1/2x8 1/2 card. I used my Gypsy and cut the Covered Wagon from 'Paper Doll Dress Up' out 3 times at 2.9x2.05 inches in a cream, a light tan and a light brown. Also on the same page on my Gypsy, I did the Bush from Jubilee 15 times at 1.52x.89 inches in green. Then I decided I needed a sun so I just cut it on my cricut at 2 inches in orange. Had already cut everything else out. Used the one on Jubliee. I inked everything except the sun in Momento's Rich Cocoa. The sun I used yellow Pebbles Basic Brights chalk and chalked the surface to try to give it more of a sun look. I cut each piece of paper 1/4 inch smaller except for the white piece on the inside. I cut it 1/2 inch smaller. Sizes are 8 1/4x5 1/4, 8x5 and 71/2x4 1/2. Inked the edges. I also used some cactus from a sticker pack from Jolees Boutique. The sentiment was done on the computer. I cut the covered wagon apart to get the different colors for the cover, bed and wheels. Then I pop dotted it on. I put brads in the center of the wheels. For the bushes, I inked the tops and then layered 3 for each one to give them some dimension. I just glued on the sun. The hemp on the side is from an Anna Griffin Flora collection trim set I had. Hope you like my card. Thank you so much for looking! :)

I'm not as happy with the inside of this one. It's like my mojo went on vacation when I got this far!!! :)

Bookmark Challenge

This must be the week of firsts for me. My first card challenge and now my first ever bookmark and bookmark challenge. Over on Janis' pause dream enjoy blog, she has a bookmark challenge. You can go here:
http://pausedreamenjoy.blogspot.com/20140/05/pde-challenge-2-bookmarks.html
and see what the other ladies have created. They all look awesome to me! My looks so simple compared to theirs but I made something I thought our 'almost' as she says, 9 yr. old Granddaughter would like 'cus I'm gonna give it to her. Hope ya'll like it. I'm kinda proud of it. I cut a piece of chipboard at 2 1/2X4 1/2 inches. I used versa mark and stamped a swirl design on the yellow paper and used Tim Holtz distress embossing powder in fired brick on it. Heated it and then brushed it off. You can barely see this in the picture though. Then I inked the edges in rich cocoa. Cut the word 'read' 3 times at 1 1/4 from Pooh Font and the 'books'  from My Community, 6 times at 1 inch. I stacked the letters and 3 books each on top of each other to give it dimension without having to use foam tape or pop dots. I inked all these pieces with the rich cocoa. Then I painted Glossy Accents all over the front. I used a piece of jute as the bookmark down the center of the books and used 3 different colors to make the tassel on the top.
Thank you for looking at my bookmark. :)

You can do it!

I have not tried any of the challenges before but thought I would give the one at 'Cricut Cardz Challenge' a try. It is to create a card using a bird or butterfly from any cartridge, using any colors and any theme. Since I seem to not be able to get away from my Create-a-Critter cartridge, I just had to do the butterfly from it. Everything that I used to make my card is from scraps from my scrap bin except the black. Already used all the scrap black I had! The card base is green cut at 5 1/2X8 and folded in half to make an A2 card. The layer on front and the bottom one inside are cut at 5 1/4X3 3/4 from DCWQV pocketfall of green-posie glitter print. The top layer inside is cut at 4 3/4X3 1/4 in yellow. The butterfly and inside catapillar are cut at 2 1/2 base and all layers. The outside catapillar is cut at 1 1/2. The  cloud is the phrase key for the catapillar cut, cut at base 2, middle 1 1/2 and top 1 and I popped doted it on. I chalked everything. Every butterfly and catapillar has to have a little bling so added some colored pearl bling and some lavender stickles to the butterfly and rock candy stickles to the cattapillars eyes. Just to give them a little sparkle. I popped dotted the butterfly so she would stand out. The 'You can do it' is a My Pink Stamper stamp from the Everyday Occasions set.
I am going to give this one to our oldest Granddaughter. She's 17 and starts her first job Thurs. I'm about as excited as she is! She will be working at the grocery store that I am an assistant manager at and I'll be there while she is training. Okay, chattered enough. Hope ya'll like my card!! :)
I was told that my card fit the requirements for Sherri at  http://jitterbugginchallenge.blogspot.com/  card challenge also so I entered it into that one, too! So exciting!! I just now figured out how to edit a post. Duh!!! It was easy after I figured it out. Don't know why I thought it was so hard!!! LOLOL :)

Create-a-Critter Cards

When I got my Create-a-Critter cartridge, I just kept doing cuts from it. Not putting cards together, just cutting. Having a ball with it! Then I decided I needed to make a few cards. I put a few together and then decided I needed The Pink Stampers cute new stamps. The Punny-licious to use on these cards I was making. Well, my stamps came in and as luck would have it I had to work. Bummer! Then we attended a family reunion (had a great time!). When we got home I worked on some of my cards. All cuts were done at 2 1/2 inches and put onto A2 cards. The mats were cut 1/4 inch smaller for each layer. I inked everything. Hope you like them.

This one I'll give to my BFF. She has this ladybug problem in her bedroom. Seems to be millions of ladybugs living in her celling above her celling fan. They have made her fan burn out but she is afraid to kill them since they bring you good luck.

I just think this little monkey and banana are so so cute!

I just had to do this fish!

This little raccoon is adorable!

I'm trying to figure out how to post these things so they look really good.
This is the card I made my Mom for Mother's Day. She really liked it. I know she liked the Lowes gift card we gave her!! :)
I think I like the pictures in the center like this. I'm learning already!! LOL You will see this done in different ways until I get it like I want it, I'm sure. So, if you will just hang in there with me until I get it like I like it please.

I have just started making mini albums. I made this one for my friend Erica. She got a new car and I wanted her to have something to document it in. This is the front cover.

The first pages.

This third page has a trike and the tag says "First Ride". Her old car was red.

These are just pages for Erica to write on.

The last pages. This is where Erica can put a picture of her new car!
Hope you enjoyed looking at my mini album that I made. I hope to get better at these. :)

My first post

Wow! Decided I needed to do a blog to show my creations. Hope everyone enjoys looking at what I make. :)
